Mail Call!
Date of Scene: 03 April 2023
Location: The de Wit Residence
Synopsis: Jan DEFINITELY has a stalker.
Cast of Characters: Veira Lazarescu, Jan de Wit

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira rarely if ever came home early from work when she had to be in the office, but she'd gotten a text on her cell that possibly one of the dogs had gotten out and she was more concerned with their wellbeing than wondering who in the hell texted her. Because it wasn't Jan. He was practicing and it had been slated to go late.

She hadn't even disturbed him when she signed for a package that was addressed to her. There was no return address. She opened it, thinking it might of been a surprise from her fiancee. Or something from her parents.

What was inside had shocked her. But given she had two hours between delivery and his arrival home there was PLENTY of time for her to go through different emotions...and almost a full bottle of wine. The tall Goth is seated at the island in the kitchen with papers and photos spread out all over. Her cheeks are wet with tears and her cheeks are red with anger.

Jan probably hasn't seen this side of Veira.

Jan de Wit has posed:
He'd finished up his practice, and even showered - expecting to be fresh to meet Veira when she got home. Little did he now that she was already here! He steps out into the kitchen, pausing as he spotted her. "Early day at the office, love?" He asks, moving over to kiss at her cheek.

There's a pause as he sees the empty bottle of wine. "Did I miss something?" He wonders, a bit concerned as he studies her face.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives a look to him when he steps in and there is a bit of a frown at him, but she breathes out as she remembers that she absolutely adores the man. "Someone texted me about one of the dogs possibly being loose." she tells him. Her accent was thicker given the crying and the drinking. "So I rushed home to check on things. They were fine. Then I got a delivery." she states as she starts to gather up the black and white photos on the counter top. "It contained these..." she pushes one at Jan. He'd probably be surprised to see his likeness in these grainy and somewhat risque photos of 'Jan' and other ladies in various poses and things. Giving the appearance that he's in some sordid situations.

"Have you noticed anyone following you or anything like that? I seriously think you have a stalker." she hiccups at that. "And their photoshop skills are DREADFUL." she grits out as she motions at the numerous other photos on the counter.

"Though this one...this one is not photoshopped." she draws the photo out. It's of the two of them asleep. It's been taken from outside the bedroom window.

"So we have a problem." she states.

Jan de Wit has posed:
There's a frown as he looks over the photos, a tight-lipped frown. The man shakes his head - but much as she is, he's more disturbed by the photo of the two of them sleeping in their own house. He picks this one up, studying it - thinking about where in the yard or the trees the photo had to be taken from.

"We should add on to our security." A frown. "There was that... oddly demanding woman at my last performance. The one where you had met me in back for. Remember her?" He asks, thinking. "I didn't sense any immediate danger, though."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
"I mean, spicy photos are easy to shop, disturbing to see a picture of us at the bottom of the pile." Veira tells him quietly. "I probably handled things the wrong way. I'm obviously not mad at you over this silliness. I'm just worried that someone will try to hurt you." she admits.

"And I would hate to murder someone." she states.

"I'm going to see if I can get a friend to look at these for fingerprints. Maybe they are amateur enough to not wear gloves, but, I think they did. I've looked at them over and over." she frowns. "And yes, more security." she nods to him.

There is a look to him and a little snort, "Yes, I remember her. She was not having the fiance news. Especially when she saw me." she shakes her head. "I can look into her though, if you want me to?" she asks as she scoots on the chair to turn to him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
The man thinks for a minute. "I know you're not upset at me, Veira." He offers, calmly and gently. "I appreciate the concern, as well. I would not want them interfering with our lives, no matter how poorly it would go for them." His hand runs along her back, soothing - or at least trying to.

"Perhaps some wards? Some enchantments?" Jan suggests. "And yes, fingerprints would be good - was this delivered by the post?" He wonders, looking over to the box and any shipping information.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives him a soft, but impish smile, "No, I'm not upset at you. No reason to be." she whispers. "Though I'm guessing whoever sent this was hoping I had a hair trigger with emotions." she shrugs. She then reaches out to tickle her fingers over his clothed chest, "It'll be alright. Just need to stack these up and give them to forensics." she admits. "Hope you don't mind them seeing...ummm..." she motions to the nudeness.

"Ah...yes, could do some magic to see if they step out of line." she nods to that. "It was a delivery. I can see if we can track anything. It's going to be a small pain, but I have connections." she grins.

"I closed the curtains in the bedroom. Just out of precaution." she points out. She then starts to stack the photos up carefully and puts them back in the package. "Have you eaten?" she asks him as she stands up.

Jan de Wit has posed:
He chuckles. "I have done some modeling for some advertisements, love. I am sure that I was covered in them, barely." Jan winks. "I am not ashamed of me. Are you all right with being on display, yourself?" He asks, eyes on hers. His hand keeps at the small of her back as the fakes are put away.

"I have not eaten, no. Shall we stay in? I can prepare something?" The man suggests. "Rather than tempt our problem to do anything untoward with our incoming meals?"
