Cast of Characters: Micola Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola had went out to the house today to see about opening up windows and letting fresh air into the place while some of the workers were wandering around and fixing the issues that needed to be fixed. They were minor things. Mainly bringing the house up to date and all of that jazz. The blue haired woman had been trying to make sure that colors of paint would go well with the woods.

She was a bit panicked, but that was because there was a lot of things she didn't want to ruin here.

It was nearing four in the afternoon when the workers started taking off for the day and Micola had decided to go sit in the openess of the studio and work on some layouts. Plus she'd brought food. That's where Pietro would find her.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Panic was not on Pietro's agenda. He was very excited to have the house in their name, and to begin the work on it! He'd been helping shuttle things as needed, his natural speed making things a quick work... pun intended. He was happy to let the professionals work, no need to interrupt them - unless Micola had a change she wanted to make in the design. Her artistic side was trusted, honestly.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Eventually, he makes his way to where she was in the studio - smelling the food. He takes a seat near her, leaning against her briefly to comfort. "I think it is going well, yes? Plenty more to do, but a good start." A glance around. "Have you decided which room you wanted to make the nursery in?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a smile when she looks up to see Pietro and there is a moment taken to pull out another sandwich and things from the cooler. She leans over to kiss his cheek when he leans against her. "I think it is going very well." she admits to him. "Hungry? I made a few sandwiches for you." she grins at that. He could probably eat more than a couple really.

"Painters should be in next week. So you've still got the weekend to decide against any colors you don't like." she teases him gently. When he asks about the nursery there is a bit of a look to one of the doors, "I was thinking of the room that's just off of this one. It's pretty big and has a lot of natural light. We could always go through and label what the rooms will be." she offers.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The Genoshan prince nods, grinning to her. "Always hungry, love." He assures, taking a sandwich once offered. A glance around, then back to her. "It is ... very interesting seeing such a dream come together, isn't it? So... surreal. A wife, a child on the way, a house - not things I ever foresaw in my future." Pietro admits.

As she mentions the painters, he nods. "We could write on the walls, if we like - to note what the rooms will be, and the colors?" He suggests. "I like that room - sunlight should be a part of our child's every day." He agrees.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a smile to him as she picks at her chips, food was being finicky with the pregnancy. She turns to him a little and then scoots her chair over so that she can bounce her knee against his. "Why did you think you wouldn't have a wife or children in your life, Pietro?" she asks him.

"And yes, we could do that. I have painters tape that we can label with a sharpie and go from there." she nods.

"Also, we have a little news from the last doctors appointment." she tells him. "If you'd like to know that is." she teases him gently as she reaches out to reach for her book.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He eats, but does not flaunt it in front of her - not wanting to upset her stomach in doing so. "It just seemed a far-fetched thing, as life was unfolding in front of me." Pietro says, honestly. "I have had so many obstacles over my years, that... it seemed the more serene and normal life was out of reach." A smile to her.

"We'll go about after we lunch, and mark off then. I trust your color choices."

At the mention of news from the doctor, he stills for a breath. "Did you look? Do you know?" He wonders, watching her eyes. "I would love to know."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives him a chuckle as he speaks on 'the serene life'. "Serene might not be a good word for it." she grins at him. "I mean...you're an Avenger and a royal. I'm guessing that things won't always be quiet and we'll have our own issues. But we need to remember to communicate and work together. We're our own little team my love." she admits. "Yay. I'm glad you trust my color choices." she grins to that.

She reaches out to take up the envelope from the book she was reading and hands it over to him, "Well, it's ultrasound pictures. My doctor said there was a bit of an abnormality on one of my tests and she wanted me to come back in. And...this is what she found." she explains.

Inside there are the regular black and white pictures.

But there are two babies.

Micola watches him to see his reaction.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A slight chuckle at the corretion of serene. "True. But... family. I knew I would have my sisters. But... you, you are unexpected and very much cherished." Pietro comments, leaning in to kiss her cheek. A hand moves to clasp hers. "We are a team. And we will overcome anything before us." A wink to her, nodding. "And yes, you are the artist among us. I trust in your palette."

She mentions an abnormality - the world freezes. Pietro, even for him, seems locked in a slow motion bubble as she pulls out the envelope and hands it over. It takes ages in his eyes, to open the envelope and peer inside.

He pales, looking to her, then to the photo. "Two?" He whispers. "Twins?" She's hugged, tightly. "Are we ready for twins?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola was wondering if he was going to run for the hills...or the seas. He might not be prepared for what was going to happen. "It's alright. Nothing health wise." she tells him. When he finally opens the envelope there is a bit of concern as he pales.

The hug is returned to him and she laughs softly, "I mean, given you're a twin and well...there is Tommy and his brother? I'm guessing twins isn't /that/ surprising." she tells him. "The question is, are you ready to be outnumbered by girls?" she muses to that.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
She's held onto for a bit, a hand sliding down to her tummy. "Girls?" A laugh. "I have been outnumbered by girls most of my life." Pietro smirks. "I now will have even whiter hair, worrying after my girls." He teases her, nuzzling to her side.

"I am ready, yes. We should talk about names... yes? Have you told your mother? Or your grandfather?" A grin. "I should like to see their faces when we tell them."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola hugs him, just enjoying the feeling of peace as she does. Pietro helped with not being stressed. She gives a chuckle to him, "Yeah, I figured this was just something you were used to." she grins at that. "I think we're all going to worry you at times." she admits.

"And yes...names, colors, all of that." she tells him. "I've not told my mother or grandfather yet. If you want to tell Wanda and Lorna though I am totally fine with that." she states. "I figured we could get mom and grandfather out to dinner and tell them." she smiles to that.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro nods in agreement. "Yes, in person." He agrees. "Dinner, whether in the states, or elsewhere." He murmurs, happy to be holding her - and giving her comfort. "It is a worry I gladly take on, Micola. I promise." He assures, mind still racing at the thought of two tiny humans on their way.

"Colors... to make it easier to identify when they are younger." He smirks. "I am sure, that if they are anything like their parents, they will be opinionated." He laughs.
