Synopsis: The way of the ninja is introduced to Alice
Cast of Characters: Alice Sinclaire, Chizue Nakamura

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
The blue light starts to flash and the siren of the alarm fills the night. To call this part of New York City quiet at night is a misnomer, no one really cares about these streets, no one bothers to call the police. Like other parts of the city with no police presence, there is the gangs who want their share of protection money. Knocking over one of the stores they protect is bad for business.

But that's precisely what Alice just did. She has been moving from low rent apartment to low rent apartment. Jobs for people in her situation are hard to find and keep. Demands on for the low wage worker, even at a coffee shop, are extreme. She thought it'd be easy - teleport in, grab the vest, teleport out. What she didn't think through was that the shop goods were all behind alarm protected glass. She used a paperweight to break the glass and the alarm went off. She grabbed the vest and teleported out in to an alley around the corner to take stock of what she took.

The six street enforcers were about to go and investigate, but having a white woman suddenly appear in front of them got their attention. Of Japanese descent they all stand up and approach their prey.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
She wasn't here to knock over gun shops, rather she was in the process of sinking her claws into a juicy cell tower to get at all that sweet data. Until the alarm goes off over the airwaves, and for a moment she freezes to take stock and figure out if it was her. Then her AR rig starts crunching data, and she pivots round to peer towards the gunshop. It's not her problem of course, but she can't verywell continue with the 5-0 alerted to the area. So delicately she pops the tower's panels back shut and replaces those forged lock out tabs.

Casually she drops down from the tower as silent as a shadow, slinking over to the roof's edge to peer over and get a look at what's going on. Yakuza toughs are spotted straight away, and studied with careful attention. Already interrogating the wireless networks to see if she's got a backdoor into their phones, and if not well..She'll have to fix that.

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
Their phones crumble with ease to your invasion revealing names, friends, phone numbers, ages ranging from 15 to 19. The thugs start to interrogate their sudden guest, "Hey there ghost you just out for a walk." The closest one takes out a switch blade and points it at her.

Alice looks up holding the bullet proof vest with price tag still on it. Her eyes look to the switch blade, then she glances around at the other five as they approach, "Hey you guys really don't want to do this.."

The leader lifts his chin and twirls the switch blade in his hand, "Don't tell me what I want to do." He points at the bullet proof vest, "That doesn't belong to you. We the kings in this neighborhood, we say who gets robbed and who doesn't."

Alice smirks a bit and shakes her head, "I'm just borrowing it." Well that's obviously a lie. There is a moment as the air around her collapses in to the space she occupied with 'pop' and she appears behind the group. "Guys, really, you don't want to do this."

The six of them draw weapons. One has a sword, two with knives, one with a gun, one with a stun baton and one with a chain. In Japanese one of them says, "She's one of them mutants."

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
Theres a flutter in the air from above the alleyway, followed by a subtle whistle and a flash as a dozen slender glass shuriken come hurtling down from above into the group. Not enough to kill, but thats not what you use Shuriken for. A split second later she touches down as silent as death, one hand already on the sword on her hip. "Come now, demonstrate your fighting spirit and die as warriors."A voice washed through god knows how many electronic filters, carefully tweaked no doubt to be as absolutely terrifying as possible.

In the dim light it's hard to even figure out -what- she is at first glance really. Tabi sneakers, leggings, knee pads, and the rest of her just sort've vanishes into seemingly shadow made solid. Then comes the flash of color, finally. The bared teeth of a polygonal cat, backlit in a lovely seafoam green. Not that she just stands there for long, a second perhaps two?

She explodes foreward in a superhuman burst of speed, hurtling low and fast amongst the shadows as she hurtles across filthy pavement towards the nearest thug. That sword draw is like a gunshot, finding a hip and tracking upwards and across without slowing down. The dull -thuck-thuck-thuck plainly audible, as that blade glides through the poor tough's ribcage and cleaves him in a single stroke. He hasn't even fallen, hasn't even realized his demise before she moves onto the next one. A gloved hand sweeping the dead man aside amidst an arterial spray of blood.

She bursts through with a soft huff of effort, One stroke and she takes his hand at the wrist, half turning to unsheath that short sword and drive it firmly into the base of his neck just barely above the collar bone. There she pauses for a moment, before twisting the blade with an audible -crack- and letting him slump to the ground like the sack of shit he was.

Even now as bloody as they are, those blades are hard to really pick out in the darkness. That exotic transparent metal is all but transparent, save for the hardened steel cutting edge at the front and the tiny titanium studs holding them in place.

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
Alice's eyes go wide as she sees a shadow monster appear behind the group. New York City, where else. Her eyes widen further as the shadow starts to move and slice the guy apart. The man with the gun fires and Alice has her bullet proof vest in front of the bullet. She feels it hit and stumbles back.

Alice realizes he's turning to shoot at Chizue and ~fwop~ she teleports in front of him, bullet proof vest pressed against the muzzle of his gun as he fires again. The two bullet shots echo through the alley way.

The guy behind her starts to stab toward her and ~fwop~ she is behind him, her arm protruding from his chest. He stumbles where he stands as blood oozes out around her arm and the hole she's made. Three of them are dead before the bullet proof vest even hits the ground in front of the thug with the gun.

The guy with the chain looks on in horror and starts running for it, leaving behind the guy with the switch blade and the guy with the stun baton.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
A runner! She surges forward through the mass of dead men, even if some of them haven't figured it out just yet. The guy with the Stun baton gets it next, as she dives foreward right under his guard. A slash across the top of his thigh, followed by that short sword driving down into the base of his neck where it meets his shoulder. That frees up her hand, which is good of course.

That handgun is snatched from under her chest rig, And well it perhaps predictably isn't terrible loud of course. Sending a single heavy blended metal bullet down range and into the back of that coward's head. The effect on target is amazing of course, as the entire bullet shatters upon impact. High pressure metallic "sand" ploughs foreward, producing a fairly fantastic amount of soft tissue damage to the poor bastard's grey matter.

Then it's foreward again as she stows the pistol oncemore and snags her sword sword. She zigs left, then right and finally gets a good few steps up the wall before kicking off and rolling over, driving casually resheathing her short sword in mid air as she comes down on Mr.Switchblade, driving her sword into his skull with her full bodyweight behind it. "Not a terribly inspiring effort, but at least some of you had sand."

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
The guy with the gun turns around and fires at where he thinks Alice is and shit is ready for it, ~fwop~ she takes the air around her ~fwop~ and leaves the bullet now flying through the air right back at the gunman. It hits him in the shoulder right before you cut him to shreds.

Alice flicks the blood and bits of organ off of her arm, wiping it down and generally looking unhappy with the mess that's been made. She wipes her hands down over her top and then walks over to where the bullet proof vest lays on the ground. It has two dents in it from the two bullets it took.

"I have no idea who you are, but.. thank you. What you just did was amazing." She undoes the velcro on the vest and puts it on over the top of her bloodied top and does the velcro back up again. She pats it and smiles. Her eyes rest on the dark figure and she asks, "You're not here to kill me are you?"

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
She lays a foot on the poor fuck's shoulder to jerk her blade free, before giving it a -shake- to get the blood free. "If you were my prey, you'd never have seen me."She returns, finally half turning to fix that mask's glare upon Alice. "You have a knack for attracting attention."Casually she gives that blade a flourishing spin before all but throwing it back into it's scabbard.

Her figure already shimmering as it all but fades into the background, all but invisible save for that brightly lit mask. "There are easier ways to get body armor you know, also you should take the money from these men. It's going into an evidence locker, and they hardly need it anymore."

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
Alice stares at that lit up mask. The highly modulated voice is chilling and she knows if she senses anything from her she's just going to start teleporting like crazy to get away. "That was gnarly," she says with a smile. "And what is the easier way to get body armor?," she asks as she begins to pat the men down, taking the money from their wallets and then tossing the wallet on to the ground without much of a care. She has never seen cop shoes, she doesn't know just how far forensics have come - but even the police won't care about 'gang violence' in this neighborhood enough to test for fingerprints. "You're incredible. What is your sneaky name?"

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"You can call me Owari."Theres a snort from behind that mask, before she casually flips Alice a... Well it's a wad of cloth, It feels silken in the hand and noticably doesn't have any real weight. It's not even just black, it's dark enough to make vanta black look like bright pink. "Wipe down the wallets, you're leaving fingerprints. Don't do something unless you're going to do it correctly, half measures are for dead men."

"With your ability, a little larceny could have provided the funds to purchase the item normally. It's not as if they track kevlar sales in the US, you can buy it in bulk online if you want."Theres a little shrug, not that you can -see- it of course. One black clad glove lifting to pluck that mask away, and replace it with another. A cat once again, but a decidedly less snarly affair. Casually tucking the original item away under her cloak. "You only get one mistake, you have to be more careful."

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
Alice looks at the black cloth with interest, hearing the explanation. "Oh." She picks it up and wipes down everywhere she's touched. "I didn't really want to steal .. money. I mean, I'm not a criminal. Uh. I just need protection you know? people keep trying to shoot me and may be one day I won't notice or be fast enough." She lifts a curious eyebrow at the change of face. "One mistake?" She holds out the cloth to Chizue, "Owari, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Alice." She looks over your shadow hidden body area, "You're a full on ninja huh? techno ninja even. Say you wouldn't happen to want to not be around a bunch of dead bodies would you?" Her eyes glance up to the top of the building as a suggestion.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"You're a thief never the less."She retorts, before snagging that ninja hanky and tucking it away in that chest rig of hers. "Is there any particular reason they want your head, or do you just have this effect on people?" At the suggestion however, she gets moving. A few steps up one wall, before she bounces to the opposite side of the alley for another few steps and so it goes until she clears the rooftop and comes to a stop. That stealth rig glitching ever so often and erupting in a brilliant flash of color, and the moment she draws still oncemore she begins to become all but invisible oncemore.

"One Mistake to learn from, the next will kill you. Let tonight be a learning experience, you can not afford to be so blatant."Mask turning to watch the street silently for a moment, as the color flickers from seafoam to something darker. "What I am isn't important, and a Kunoichi is the correct term anyway."

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
~fwop~ Alice is on the roof. She watches down with interest at the acrobatic skills on display. The way the stealthing stops working briefly. Her mouth is open with amazement and she nods as you start to lay some truth on her about the risks involved. "I have no idea who those guys were. I think I might just have that affect on people." She shrugs innocently.

She lifts up her arms and looks at the blood. "So strange, I'm used to seeing the black not the red..." Her nose crinkles and she lowers her arms again. "I'm afraid I don't know much about being sneaky like you. But I'm a quick study. I used to blend in to the environment better, but night time works I suppose, if'n I want to be a lot less clothed."

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"You need to focus on the consequence, not the goal. If I was a cape, I'd have left you for the police."She returns casually. "The fact you were detected is the failure in this endeavor. You must endeavor to be nothing, to step like a shadow and take what you need without anyone knowing anyone was ever there. Did you think to check the store room, or consult the shipping logs to see where the body armor shipped from? You could have simple taken it in transit, let it become one more package lost in the mail."

"I know a great many Ninja who wear bright colors because they think it looks cool, the color and apparel do not matter when you never let them lay eyes upon you. You must be the one to decide when you are seen, you can not rely upon apparel to keep you safe."One gloved hand dropping to smooth out that short cloak. "Were I not concerned with the culling of enemy Ninja, I'd probably be dressed in Yellow still."

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
Alice looks gobsmacked and folds her arms, "Golly." She stares off in to the distance in wonder, "I hadn't ever thought of stealing it in transit like that. To be fair this is only the second time I've done crime. The first was in high school when I stole an apple from the green grocer. There weren't much call for stealth where I've been living most of my life. The little ones either see you or they don't, the big ones well they just smell the blood and come looking for trouble."

She hmms, "I think I know what you mean though. Does take a lot of concentration and effort but." She walks for a moment along the roof top and then shimmers, before disappearing - not like when she had teleported. She shimmers back in to focus next to you. "Like that?" It was like she phased out for a moment, then phased back in, as if she were performing a thousand little teleports in a single moment.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"Better, but do not allow your foes to discover your trick. Never let them see behind the curtain, the how is a dangerous weapon unto itself."Unflappable as ever, of course. "If you can not control your own circumstances, the enemy will do that for you. Never fight fair, and never on their terms. Whenever there is conflict, it must be by your design."Slowly turning to fix her, wait that's a different mask again. It's also a cat but it looks more...pensive?

"And learn to pick locks, if you must."Casually she turns back towards the roof's edge, before lifting a glove to wave. "Allow yourself to consider your problems in far greater depth, and stop thinking like a common thief. Meditation, might be something to consider in the future. In anycase, I must be going. I've much work to attend to."Slowly she lifts a hand, and in the snap of a wrist she produces a single black business card.

Alice Sinclaire has posed:
It is safe to say that Alice is in awe of this ninja before her. She knows so little about Owari but the 'wisdom' being imparted to her has her impressed. She has had many martial arts teachers over the years but she's never seen someone like this before. She's flustered, for certain and takes the card in hand and looks it over. "Well, uh, thank you for all the tips and advice Owari. I .. hey so, I know you're busy but do you teach?"
