Date of Scene: 04 May 2023
Location: Greenhouse
Synopsis: Batgirl pays a visit to Gotham's nature friendly native.
Cast of Characters: Pamela Isley, Barbara Gordon

Pamela Isley has posed:
Poison Ivy has been very hard at work. She's finally getting something to work on, a few something actually. More importantly she also is getting more sunlight, for Gotham at least. She also has been going out as this new identity she made up of Abigail "Gail" Olander. As good a fake ID as she could make to order things and putting requests and attempts to get information from more then a few businesses inside the country. Currently she's got her hair down, is rocking her green, and working on some of her plants. Moving through the private area of the green house, one guarded by her plants to help keep it all safe.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Outside of Ivy's green house a single motorcycle arrives, on it sits Batgirl, her cape draped down behind it, and off to one side as it gently flows in the settling winds. The gold and black suited Batgirl turns the bike off, and dismounts it with a fluid motion. She wasn't hiding her approach here tonight, she was not of any reason to treat Ivy as anything but a contact now.

With a simple stride, casual even, Batgirl approaches the green house, her green eyes looking side to side, as she takes the sights in for the first time 'in person'.

The redheaded Bat-heroine approaches the front of the green house, looking for a way to ring the bell, or key a intercom...

Pamela Isley has posed:
For the most part the greenhouse is open to the public and able to visit and enjoy the gardens and plants from around the world. Ivy's little private corner is behind a door marked private - staff only. Obviously the building is mostly empty when it is evening, giving Batgirl the easiest of way to get inside and to the private area to knock on the door. Either by going inside the building, or looking for an exterior staff only entrance near the back. Nothing fancy like an intercom. Mostly a basic locked door.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Babs doesn't shy away from the public entrance. Should anyone even be in there, they'd get treated to the sight of 'Oh, hey... that's either the real Batgirl, or a damn fine cosplayer'. She just strode on inside, her cape and fiery locks of red hair flowing behind her as she moved. Her green eyes swept around the interior space, her stride carrying her through the green house interior until she found, and approached that private area doorway.

With her black and gold cape settling in around her sides, Batgirl just raised her gloved fist and knocked a few times upon it.

Oddly casual for a Bat!

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy lifts her face from the microscope she was studying at the knock on her door. Now who could that be?! She frowns and calls out. "One moment." She reaches for something to put on, pulling her lab coat on around her shorts and tank top she's wearing and pauses at the door, several plants coiled and ready just out of view. She opens the door, "Can I hel..." Her voice fades at the sight of Batgirl just standing there. "This is not how we usually meet." A wry smile of amusement. "Is this social or work related?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
When that door sweeps open, she is indeed just standing there. Cowl on, red hair draped over her right shoulder and down her back. Her green eyes visible as they stare back at Ivy when she appears on the other side of the door. "It's just social." Barbara's unaltered voice responds. "I should have called ahead, but it was somewhat a spur of the moment thing. If it's a bad time, I can head on my way. I just wanted to check in, see how you were doing."

She can't help but peer past Ivy too to whatever may lay beyond the woman's presence in the door, whether she can see any of the plants that might be hiding there-in or not.

But her eyes dart back to Ivy's own, and she tilts her head ever so slightly as she stares at the other woman.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy tilts her head a bit and tries to less then subtly check if Babs ha any kind of nasal plugs or filters on. "Now is not all that bad." She steps back and motions to the interior. "Come on in," as motions her plants to lean back out of the way to be less threatening as well."
Ivy's lab is rather full of plants but unusually there are a lot of books and papers and information on housing developments. There is two things of note. One looks to be several variations of bamboo, and the second is a beautiful flower. The flower has a pretty pink and light blue coloration with a white shaded center.
Once they ae inside together Ivy closes the door and then starts to walk past. "I'd offer you a drink but not sure you'd take it."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The half mask that rests over Batgirl's nose seems a bit hard to tell what it's features might be, but it does seem likely that it has some measure of air filtration associated with it. She steps through the doorway when the option comes, her cape flowing gently around her arms and upper thighs as it's more of a short cape compared to that of say Batman's own. "Thanks." She softly says before her eyes wander to take in the sights of Pam's private area within the green house.

"A drink is fine. I don't think my arriving here unannounced would warrant you being anything but hospitable, Ivy." She says, showing the other woman a soft smirk as she nods once toward the flower. "Pretty." Babs' gentle voice says. "What is it?" She asks next, before her eyes look to the housing documents on display, lingering only a moment before they then go to the more animated 'living' plants that are shifting about still. Those are always eye-catching after all.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"You don't know," Ivy says with a small smile. She then goes to get some filtered water from a pitcher and pours a pair of glasses that have old style painted flowers on the outside and hands one over to the caped heroine. The green skin woman looks at the plant and says, "If she works she'll help spread more beauty to the world and make a lot of people happier. New breed of course. Haven't named them yet. I started with flax though. Where the flower's shape and purple hints come in." Ivy keeps it calm and peaceful for now. "Please make yourself comfortable, Batgirl."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
What Pamela provides for information only peaks Babs' interest in the flower more. She steps over to it, before accepting the water with a quiet 'Thank you' offered in return. She listens more, whilst leaning forward a little to get a better visual look at the plant's intricate color patterns.

"It's beautiful." Batgirl says, straightening up again and raising that cup up for a sip from it in one of her black gloved hands. Her eyes linger on the flower for a second longer before she casts them aside back to where Ivy is.

"Surely this isn't all you've been up to though, right? Seems like this would be more of a ... past time for you? I mean, you've accomplished so much in the field of botony... that it's almost child's play for you, isn't it?" She asks as she finds a small table sturdy enough for her to perch her right thigh upon to sit upon it's edge and corner, holding the cup of water against the top of her same thigh.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"I'd not get too close to it," warns Ivy about the flower "They're delicate and may be potent." Ivy looks proud and looks over at the plant. "I hope she will offer me a new way to greatly flip some hormonal switches in others." Realizing how that sounds Ivy adds, "Medicinal."
Ivy looks over and says, "That's two projects that can keep a girl busy, BeeGee. I got someone willing to pay a fair bit of money for something." She nods to all the housing information and bamboo. "The other's more of a personal project of mine for a friend." Ivy takes a moment to look up and around Batgirl as she settles in and Ivy herself stays standing to not get caught flat footed if this goes bad. "Is that what this is about? You checking up on me?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Batgirl raises the cup up for another soft sip from it, noting the design work on the cup itself. The further information about the flower causes her to look back over at it again, while she lowers the cup back down to her thigh. She smirks softly before the last question there has her looking to Pamela once more.

"I am checking up on you." She responds simply right back at her. "But I'm not doing it out of any measure of suspicion, Ivy. I'm doing it out of a desire to just see how you're doing. Believe it or not, I respect you. I've always respected some measure of what you were trying to do, even if in the past I would've disagreed with your approach. I still... 'get it' in a lot of ways... if you can believe that."

Batgirl sets the cup down on the table beside her hip and then just places her gloved hands together over her thigh that is raised up a little on the table's edge.

"I just want the best for you. Same as I do for... Harley. I've worked with her quite a bit in the past year and a half... but I've mostly left you to your own devices. Color me just... here tonight to see how you are, see if I can help you with anything."

Pamela Isley has posed:
There's a pregnant moment as Ivy debates Babs' word. "Winter was rough for me. Rougher then normal. The late and cold spring didn't help. This is giving me something to focus on besides how crappy I feel." She moves over to something and gets out a rolled up paper. "I got hired to work on a new house. That's what I'm doing for this patron of mine."
The mention of Harley makes her smile some. "I haven't gotten to get together with Harley in along time. I hope she's doing alright." Ivy drinks some water and sets it down, before she pulls off her lab coat to hang it up. "If this works, it could change a lot. I need to just work out all the logistics and it's outside my normal area.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Batgirl takes in a slight breath then, showing off another smirk at the reaction that Harley's mere name does pull from Ivy. Harley has that way with people, afterall.

When the mention of the troubles through winter come up, Babs nods her chin down and up just one small time. "I'm sorry to hear that. I'm surprised you don't ... take a vacation through those months to somewhere a little more climate friendly for yourself." She softly replies before the house work is brought up. At the mention of some troubles, or issues with it, Babs gently tilts her head to the side again, her tall bat-ears tilting visibly too!

"You're welcome to send me anything that you would like my help looking over. I have a rather extensive skillset, and what I might lack in skills, I make up for in resources available to me. I'd be happy to help you with your project. Help in a way that might make it easier for you in the long run, independently. I know you're ... well you're like me in that you like to do it yourself. Overcome challenges on your own merit. But still, we all need a helping hand now and then."

Pamela Isley has posed:
"I have done that before," admits Ivy. "I take vacations to the Amazon and such. Even if I go there, my body is set to Gotham's sort of seasons as a rule. If I get too used to the tropics it is even worse when I return here." She grins and offers, "I have a real moody streak at times. We all seen and don't want that."
Ivy consider the offer and looks over her stuff a well. "I do like to do it myself. I may ask you for helping in background checks on some business if I have to outsource some of this. This is to help get cheaper and more environmentally sound homes from everyone. If anything I'm not sure how to deal with the pushback from bigger businesses. I know one way to deal with them but I imagine that's seen as.... a bad seed." Ivy smiles as she looks over to one side, "even if my compost heap can use the new material."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The first bit of what Ivy says with regard to trips to the Amazon has Babs just nodding her head slightly before she shows a faint frown on her exposed facial features. "That makes sense..." She quietly says to that idea.

But when Ivy moves on to the latter subject, she once more tilts her head. "Background checks are no problem what so ever. I'd be happy to assist with that, and if you'd like... I have just about every contact you could wish for in the environmental game here in the city. I might be able to hook you up with a position within a company that could give you more access to these projects. Gordon Green Energy for example. They work with big companies, and on a residential level... to try and find solutions that are ecologically friendly. This is a passion we share, Ivy." She lastly says, chasing her words with a faint half-smile.

Her own verdent hued eyes look over to where this compost pile might be, and she does show a frown at that. "Not at all intimidating." She sarcastically fires back at that idea and insinuation. "Lets save that one for a last resort though, shall we?" She casually jokes back with the other woman.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy smiles and says, "Not a bad company from what I have studied. Even if 'Gordon' is not my most favorite of names. He's still a good man as a rule." She shakes her head and says, "I can't work with any other business. It has to stay private sector. I don't trust businesses. It only takes one bad guy to ruin it. I'm focused for residential areas for now. Small and cheap housing. Besides if we can replace the trailer parks with affordable and good housing. That would change so much."
"Hey I'm all about recycling and not going to be going to those methods if I have alternatives, Batgirl. I rather NOT return to Arkham or worse." Ivy will offer more water to the fellow redhead. "I'll be in touch, or rather I can try to be in touch. I don't have a batsignal with red hair or nice legs."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
AT the last bit of what Ivy says there, Babs rises back up to her tall booted feet. She dips her right hand back in to her cape near her hip, and slips a small device out of a pocket. It looks like a small smart phone. She keys the screen on, and slips a thumb across its screen. "Oracle." Barbara says in to the device which makes a responsive 'chime' noise. 'Convert this device to Pamela Isley's ownership.'

The phone chimes again, and as Babs looks up to Ivy and steps toward her to offer the device, its screen can be seen running some kind of a program. The device is handed out toward Ivy.

"You don't need a Bat-signal." She tells the other woman with a faint smile shown. "I'm right here. Just ask Oracle to contact me, and she'll put you in touch. Ask her anything you need, in fact, and she'll see it done. It's apart of my AI system I've been designing in blocks for the past half a decade. It's fully operational now, and well.. I like to think it's an assistant we could all use, let alone benefit from."

She shows a momentary smile again. "Nice legs or otherwise."

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy steps closer to join Babs and looks curious. "Less ego then your predecessor I see." The plant woman's voice approving as she looks at the thing. "Should I treat this as a bug as well to keep an 'eye' on me as it were?" She looks curious and tries it out right away. "Oracle. What is the source of your main power supply? Not specifics just style I mean. Though I'd love to see how much energy you draw to run."
Ivy looks amused a she sees the smile from the heroine. "Like you don't do squats and work out to keep those legs in shape. You know you're an attractive woman, and as a fellow redhead I can appreciate our rare coloring." Ivy then motions to the project and says, "so did I pass the little interview there Batgirl?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The question to the phone has it speak in a pleasant female voice. It firstly indicates how the phone can be charged in a variety of ways, including settig it in direct sunlight. It then goes on to detail how it, the AI System, is run on a private network that is powered in-large part by the new Gordeon Green Energy dirigibile that flies the skies of Gotham City, using energy transfer stations around the city to dock at, shunt the solar power that the blimp absorbs in to the power capacitors where it provides the city-- and the AI servers --with all the energy it needs.

The phone is mostly ignored by Barbara though who simply stands with her hands at her sides and her cape mostly concealing them now as it hangs around her shoulders. "It could be used to surveil you, yes." She simply replies, but then shakes her head softly to the side. "It'd be an inferior way of doing that though. I have much better means to accomplish such a thing these days. Overall, it's up to you to decide if you trust it or not." She lets a pause beat there for a pace or two before she speaks up again. "And there's a lot of squats involved in this line of work. You can't waste a moment, less you get wasted and thrown in a compost pile." She adds with a glint of a grin for the other woman.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy nods to what the phone says, "I'm sure we'll talk a lot more later Oracle." She will set the phone down on the counter near her things. "Don't get yourself dead." She gets a coy smile and says, "if you ask nicely and ever choose to trust me I could always grow a clone of you for something really dangerous." The green woman has to ask, "So did you trust me to come in here unfiltered or did you have yourself show up au natural?" She will glance to the flower earlier and says, "You seem a lot more in touch with the world and the younger generation. Would you agree with that, Batgirl?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Another glance is given to the flower for a lingering stare before the last question has Babs looking back toward Ivy. "My suit is capable of filtering toxins, if I activate that feature, but again... you trust me, I trust you." She states with a soft smirk given, followed by a shake of her head. "I'm not getting any younger. I've been at this for quite awhile now, and though I spent a healthy amount of it on the sidelines, so to speak, I'm trying hard to stay in the game... as it were. If that means I still have a glimmer of connection to my youth, let alone the youths of the day, well that's just a perk, a positive side effect that I'll happily wave a flag for. But... like everyone else, I'm sure my days of being called a series of derrogatory 'old' names is steadily on its way."

She shows that grin again as she turns toward the table where she'd set the water cup down. She gathers it up in her right hand again, raises it up and takes another sip. When she lowers it, she eyes the cup, then offers it back to Ivy. "Thanks for the drink. No clones though, please. I barely know what to do with myself, let alone a copy." She gives another look around the lab before she shifts her weight from one foot to the other within those thigh-high gold boots. "I'll get out of your lovely red hair too. I've taken you from your work long enough tonight, especially having dropped in unannounced."

Pamela Isley has posed:
"You know. You -are- talking to one of the world's leading biochemists in the planet. Do you want to get some supplements or something. I can always help out." Ivy has the way of keeping youthful as it were. "I'm just offering some of my specialized treatments. For of a friend of friends deal. But we'll be in touch I am sure." Though Ivy will go and make a little note or two on some paper to help with keeping a memory. "I appreciate the civil visit. Do keep in touch though, Batgirl. I'm sure we can compare notes soon." She waves to the woman and nods to the door. "It's safe to go of course."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The question of supplements, and her own brand of assistance has Barbara showing a amused little expression on the visible part of her facial features. "I'll consider it. Send me some recommendations?" She fires back before she turns toward the doorway that she'd come in. "Thanks for having me." She'll offer in her soft voice on her way out, her eyes going toward those more animated vines and plants again. It's hard not to keep track of where those things are, and what they're doing, when one finds themselves up close and personal near to them.

"I'll let Harley know you're thinking about her, if I see her soon." She adds near the doorway, pausing withher hand upon it as she casts one more look back before the door is opened and she'll go to move through it. "Goodnight, Ivy." She says on the way out.
