Synopsis: Elektra, Colleen and Danny shut down a drug operation at the Shanghai Suprise, eliminating some Silver Monkey gang members and six members of the Hand.
Cast of Characters: Colleen Wing, Elektra Natchios, Danny Rand

Colleen Wing has posed:
This was to be the night, the night in which Colleen and a few people who agreed to help her were going to eliminate the gang run drug operation at the long-closed Shanghai Surprise. All they were fully aware of was that the Silver Monkeys gang had set up shop there and were spilling drugs out onto the streets of Chinatown. Apparently, there was more than one production site, but this was the one they had the best leads on and thus this was the one to be taken out first.

It had been a long time since Collen had been on the back of a motorbike, but as she sat upon behind Elektra, holding on with her Katana strapped to her back, she realized how much fun it was.

It had been pre-decided that they would park a bit away from the restaurant and walk the rest of the way as not to alarm anyone of their approach, thus a small walk through the back streets of the city brought them to the front of the restaurant, spying it from the alley across the street they were all standing in.

"There it is. Shanghai Surprise?it has been closed for a while. Apparently, they had too much /surprise/ in their food and the health department shut them down." Colleen was crouching down at the opening of the alley, biting her lower lip.

The restaurant itself had what appears be a front patio seating area, the chairs and tables all but removed. However, one table and chair remained, and it was at this table that four men were seated, drinking and from the looks of it playing card. Close to their table and leaning against the wall were four wooden staves. The windows having been all painted over black, not allowing any light or allowance to see what was inside.

"It looks like four. Do we want to go through the front door? We could see if there is a rooftop entrance. I do not know if there is or not." Her eyes drift to her companions who had chosen to assist her in her /blackmail mission/. "Just so you know, we are probably going to confront monkey style. It is what the Silver Monkeys are trained in. It's unpredictable. A lot of false attacks, surprise strikes and a lot of acrobatics. Oh?and those staves. Just expect that. We take them out, shut down their operation and get out. Simple right?" Her words and expression lead her companions to easily tell that she thinks will be anything but simple.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra didn't bring her usual garb. Instead of the red and black that was her traditional style she brought a fully black suit, armored like the other. A sleeveless vest as a top, long gloves that went up to her forearms, black leggings and boots. A cowl and a mask to finish the ensemble. All made for speed and agility and fitting to body. The motobike was, of course, a kawazaki ninja. For REASONS. Besides being fast as hell. And Elektra only did fast. So they did reach the spot in no time.

Taking out her moto helmet she sets it aside, hair having been bunned up instead of let loose and she bringing the cowl up. As they reach their destination she glances over towards it from the shadows, mmm'ing to herself, a glance here and there, up to the rooftops and then down. "A clear case of dying by the name.." she says of the poor restaurant's demise. But some people just get what they deserve!

"I know the style.." Even if the disdain on her tone tells them just what she thinks of it. Still, it was part of her training. A gesture.

"I can check through the rooftop while you go through the front if you so wish." the ninja suggests.

Danny Rand has posed:
Unlike perhaps the others, Iron Fist was in his formal garb as the...well, Iron Fist.

Dressed in dark green and yellow shades with appropriate amounts of body padding that makes him look like quite the warrior, Danny rides like the wind on his motorcycle, keeping up with Elektra as they ride.

though his helmet was not designed, he did wear his mask.

"Shanghai Surprise?" He tilts his head for a moment before he hums. "Might as well. We could try an alternate route, but chances are combat is inevitable. Monkey Style? No match for the Drunken Fist." he smiles a little bit to himself, implying that he knew well the unpredictability of certain styles.

"Sounds like a plan though. Try not to fall through the roof, monkeys are known to be mischievous, and there will probably be traps everywhere."

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen rises from her knelt position, dusting the dirt off her black pants. She too was dressed in all black, lowering the hood of her black sweatshirt to reveal her hair pulled back from her shoulders in a tight fitting ponytail. "Yeah not a fan of the style itself." Her glance goes to Elektra, a quick nod given. "Yeah. In the middle of the roof is a large skylight. It should give you a decent vantage of what may be inside before you go headlong into it. The alley side has a rooftop ladder if I recall. Gave them access to the generators and all that other mechanical stuff I don't understand." She reaches out a had to rest on Elektra's shoulder lightly. "Wait for us. I just wish I knew more of what we are going to run into."

Her eyes go to Danny and a nod of agreement is given. "Exactly. Traps and tricks and..." She shakes her head. "This is going to be super fun. Alright it is settled then. Danny and I will go through the front door after dealing with them. Elektra...see if you can get a urvey of what is inside before we go busting the door open. And please..be careful. We will distract these four for you..tho I do not think you need it." She winks to Elektra and nod reassuringly , but more ot herself, taking a depe breath. "Alright...let's go."

Colleen emerges from the alley and starts to make a direct walk towards those seated playing cards. One of them men facing the the street quickly stands up and starts shouting in Chinese, something Colleen does not understand. ("Hey! Don't come any closer! I am warning you!") She just keeps walking as the other men rapidly rise from their chairs and secure their staves, lowering their bodies into a defensive position.

She is hoping Danny is with her, as she breaks into a small jog towards them, pulling her katana from her back as she does so.

Another shout in Chinese rings through the night air. ("You have been warned. Kill them!").

There would be no issue with making it to the roof. However, upon reaching the top of the ladder, there is a soft click, seemingly from beneath the metal of the ladder platform. The entire roof is lit up from floor lights lining the perimeter of the roof, illuminiating it all. There is a cry is a muffled cry from within in Chinese yet again. ("On the roof! Now.!") Then the sound of supressed gunfire shattering the glass of the skylight."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
A brow arches up in Danny's direction when the man mentions the Drunken Fist being unmatched by the Monkey. "Such hubris..." her tone rich with amusement. Because Elektra is known to be soooo modest too.

"And if I fall, I am fully expecting one of you to catch me down there." So dramatic! A wink to the duo, the mask being pulled up to cover her face and then off she goes, diverging from the path the two take to directly approach and going to that alleyway, steps silent and soon she is out of sight, in the shadows.

Finding that ladder isn't hard, she hopping up onto it and then climbing at a quick speed. She can already hear the men shouting in chinese on the front. Means she has no time to waste! Though it also means she will be careful. Nearing the top she looks about. But then that click.. Silly monkeys, but she is briefly blinded by those lights suddenly popping up. Then the sound of gunfire..

Instinct prevails though, when little else would, making her roll to the side so the bullets don't catch her, just a graze on her shoulder armor that rips through some skin. Nothing serious. And it makes her adrenaline jump up.

"So you want to play..." She reaches for her Sais once her sight returns, placing herself on a knee near the edge of the skylight, prepared to jump in.

Danny Rand has posed:
Danny looks towards Colleen after a moment with a tilt of his head. "Not sure 'fun' is going to be the word you'll be using after we fight them." Danny sounds quite amused. He tilts his head though a moment as he drifts his motorcycle into a smooth stop. ("But what if we have business to attend to?") Iron Fist replies to the Chinese-speaker in fluent Mandarin himself.

Seems though like its going to be a fight.

("Guess that means we have to fight.") Iron Fist says somewhat sadly in Chinese, before he's entering into a fighting stance, leaping forward in an attempt to kick one of the men in the chest (with enough luck to knock him through the door.

The battle is on!

Colleen Wing has posed:
The battle is on. And Danny's attmept to kick one of the man in the chest is met with a monkey cackle and a leaping pounce out of the way, catching him with the stave and launching him into the door himself. Another one of the men quickly jumping into the air and coming down on him with another staff butt to the chest, that same monkey cackle. Colleen having tried to enagage the other two has been met with equal initial sucess, swinging her Katana, one of the Monkey men twirls his staff, catches her wrist and disarms her, the fourth monkey membersweepipng her legs out from her with a low sweep and another monkey cackle. Colleen let's out a ;oud cry of pain as her back hits concrete, scrambling to get back to her feet, now unarmed The front door is not going so well right now. The Silver Monkeys style tricky and unpredictable.

The gunfire ceases a moment and when Elektra chooses drops in through the shattered glass she would find herself in the middle of the room. However, her dropping in from above does suprise the three men in the large eating area, all standing beside one another. She has an element of suprise, something that is a great advantage against this unique form.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Death from above... Or well, maybe Elektra needs to settle with just pain from above these nights.., due to that whole 'thou shall not kill' sort of promise she had made to a certain someone. At least while here in New York. Such a nuisance.

But surprise attacks are just what Elektra excels in, considering the assassin that she is. So when she drops in she swings one leg in a quick snapkick to one, sending the gun flying. Never bring guns to a kung fu fight!

Flowing motions means she never stops, using the momentum of that kick to reach for the other, a quick stab with a Sai on the shoulder, just enough to make it so a machine gun won't be of use.. As for the third, that one has enough time to escape, even if the weapon is currently without bullets.

So her third strike misses, the martial artist rolling back into a low position, ready and in stance. She smirks. ("I hate monkeys.") she tells them in chinese.

Danny Rand has posed:
Danny is in mid-air when one of the monkey fighters tries to jab him in the chest with his stave. Catching the poke with his palm, Danny is pushed to the door, where his feet catch him and for a moment he is completely horizontal. But, he twists his hand and moves around the staff, intending to punch his opponent in swift snake-style thrusts to his opponent's nerve endings to try and temporarily paralyze him.

What? K'un-Lun taught Danny many things.

he does glance over at Colleen as she seems to be having trouble, but he can?t assist. He's a little busy at the moment.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen becomes enaged with two of them, ducking and weaving, trying to parry and defend against the onsluahgt of attacks. She is holding her own, but not able to get a strike in to mount any kind of offense. A strike gets through and she takes a staff shot to the ribs, sending her sideways, but spinning around with a back fist to catch the other one in the side of the head, staggering him a moment. It is the opening she needs, and with one hand on her ribs ad a wince, she throws a kick to his sternum, sending him over the table and onto the ground, striking his head. The other Monkey member pushes forward with the staff again, swinging and leaping, the young woman doing her best to not get hit; more ducking and weaving. The whole best defense, no be there thought in her head quickly changes, choosing to be there. She waits until the staff is swing again and reaches out to catch it, letting it her her forearm to do so. She grabs the staff and twists, flipping the man over and onto his back, a heel strike coming down on his chest.

Danny's strike works perfectly, whatever he did and wherever he hit him, the man's eyes go wide and he slumps to the ground and starts twitching. That leaves one more on Danny who cackles once more and twirls the staff, crouching low and creeping forward.

The one Elektra managed to kick the gun from cackles as well (how annoying) assuming a low position. There is no quit. Stabbed in the shoulder monkey clutches his arm, screaming and running to the corner of the room, crouching like an animal with a wide-eyed glance of apparent fear. Apparently, his fight or flight instinct took hold. The third in panic realizes he has no time to aim, leaps upon the table, crouching down and tries to leap down at her with the butt of the gun.

Score? 3 outside down out of 4 and 1 cowering in the corner inside, as Elektra faces 2.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
There's something to be said about jumping up towards a superior opponent. One is that you have nowhere else to dodge or run. Just a straight line. For a monkey style practicioner that is deadly! And so the leaping one with the gun learns just that when Elektra moves in, faster, all her years of being a trained killer coming to the fore. She lets the man go by her, lifting her knee to let him hit it. Right on the sternum. That sends him to the ground, grabbing at his torso and paralyzed with pain, just able to roll about on the floor.

As for the second one, he moves in and strikes Elektra on the shoulder. That same shoulder where the bullet grazed her. It makes her stumble briefly. Hiss. A brief exchange of blows and there is an hard knock of a body felt hitting the front door with a *thud*, then fall to the ground unconscious. Right after Elektra sends him flying there with a side kick. Not enough strength to break through the door though.

She then rolls her neck, eyes sloooowly starting to stray towards the one on the corner, eyes looking deadly.

Danny Rand has posed:
Danny's enemy slumps into a literal puddle of the strong man he used to be. He'll be fine in an hour. But, Danny cracks his neck as he focuses chi to his fist. With a shout of effort, he punches the door.

Door will probably lose that fight with extreme prejudice.

And maybe even hit anyone who might be sneaking up on Elektra (or rather trying to) in the process. Regardless, Iron Fist has entered the building.

"Knock knock."

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen enters the dining area of the restuarant, hand sstill on her ribs. It would appear from the way she is moving that the staff blow landed solidly on a healing injury. However, upon entering she freezes, eyes going wide. Gun shots ring out, three to be exact, striking the two on the ground in the head that Elektra had taken out and one finding the cowering moneky man in the corner right between the eyes.

There standing at the toop of a stairway leading to the lower floor of the resyraunt is a man, flanked by six more men, three on each side. "You just can't get good help these days." There is a casual shrug given as he raises a ahnd to Elektra as if to say, don't even try it, but clearly he does not recognize her. "Hello Colleen. I see you brought friends. I kind of expected it, but to be honest I did not think you would find some so...skilled. Is that Danny Rand?" He starts t pace back and forth before the six gathered men. "Take out the Silver Monkey Gang for the Hand. Now why would I want you to do that? They work for me. Clearly, I need overestimated their value. I will have to find more. No Colleen...I had to draw you out and I knew by threatening your students you clearly would not be able to resist answering my request. Take out the Silver Monkeys. Did you no think the Hand could not do so ourselves? We are everywhere Colleen. Do you not remember that?"

Colleen exhales softly and bites her lower li, murmuring softly. "Bakuto."

Bakuto sighs softly and shakes his head slowly. "You know what the retribution is for turning your back on the Hand Colleen? However, something keeps pecking in the back of my brain that you still serve me a purpose. However, I need this building. I need this operation. And you and your vigilante friends are not going to shut it down."

The man known as Bakuto laughs lightly and shakes his head. "Kill the woman in black and the Iron Fist. Spare the other, bring her to me." With that he disappears back down the stairway with a dismissive hand. Then, the six hand soldiers move to engage! Two each charging after the three.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The flying door still hits one of the monkey men that was on the ground. 'Playing dead' so to speak, but was just about to start sneaking up on Elektra. He falls with a yelp. No cackling out of that one! But then the shots executing the group. A frown and she eyes the stairs, eyes on Bakuto. Does she look surprised? Hard to tell under that mask. But she narrows her gaze at the name spoken. Bakuto.

With Colleen and Danny walking in she takes position near them, Sais ready. Silent. Prepared. She knew these Hand shinobi would not go quietly. Certainly not like the monkeys had been.

So she runs forward, engaging the two fighting her, weaving and meeting their swords with her sais, the clash of metal on metal echoing out on the Shanghai Surprise. A kick is tossed to one that sends him sprawling, she then just getting out of the way of a swordcut before her Sais start exchanging blows with that shinobi, the motions of the two combatants almost a blur, a deadly dance.

Danny Rand has posed:
Danny twists into a defensive stance when it seems members of the Hand have arrived. Bakuto, huh? Not on many occasions you meet a member of the Hand that actually has a name and an apparent leader, considering how they follow instruction.

But then there's Bakuto's name drop of him? "You know me?" Danny looks briefly alarmed before he turns his head to Colleen. "You were Hand?" He looks somewhat betrayed, though he understands there is a form of past-tense being used.

All the same, the battle begins. Danny is bobbing and weaving between the Hand ninja's strikes before he kicks one of them into a wall and throws the other into the ground, but the battle is far from over as he's slightly pressured, but two sudden kicks to the throat of both men drop them like a bad habit.

Hopefully. The Hand is stubborn.

Colleen Wing has posed:
These are Hand trained shinobi and it is clear tjhey are much more skilled than the Monkey Men, if not they too would have been executed long ago. The one that Elektra kicked is sent sprawling over a table, crashing onto the floor with a loud *thud*. He is not out, but he is taking a moment to rise to his feet, long enough for sure for Elektra to engage the other in the clashing of metal. It is like a dance, the two sai parrying and striking, the Hand warrior doing the same. However, with every parry and strike, thr Hand memeber seems to be tiring faster then the assassin, his blow count lessening and his defensive measures increasing as she would feel she could press. Was she simply wearing him down? Is so it was working.

Colleen has no time to process what she just saw, finding herself being charged by two of the men. As both approach wiht swords drawn, she drops and spins on the floor, coming up behind one of them and slicing him across the back. The man flails into the wall, crying out as she drops to a knee, an obvious deep cut to his back. The seocnd however, spins back around and grazes her cheek, putting a good slice across it, blood immediatley visible ad dripping. She lets out a small cry, moving to parry from her knelt position for the second pressed attack, her katana flailing in front of her as the man presses his attack. She keeps trying to get to her feet, but it is all she can do to keep the man swinging down on her from hitting her again. However, it is clear he is going for crippling blows and not a kill shot on Colleen as instructed, giving her an idea of where he may strike next

Colleen does not even have time to reply to Danny's question about her Hand ties. And the two that engage Danny are well skilled, But Danny is much more skilled then they could even hope to be. The one kicked into the wall hits it in a full spread flail, not moving to get up. The throat kick to the one sitting against the wall, is met with a loud *crunch* perhaps his larynx being crushed. Breathing ceases right away and he falls over. The second does manage to fight on a bit from the one thrown to the ground, kipping back up and throwing a quick strike, but the strike is side-stepped by the Iron Fist and his throat too is met with a powerful strike from Danny's foot. He is twitching. Seemingly going into some sort of shock response.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
It's kill or be killed for these shinobi. No room for error. Elektra had been one of these in the past, and perhaps still was. No pity in her gaze though as she starts to tire out her opponent, eventually making it so she can engage both her Sais on her opponent's sword blade, twisting and the sword flying away. And then a crunch as she applies a jumping knee against the man's face, making him sprawl back and then to the floor.

The second manages to find a blow in with the sword, coming from behind with a KIAAIII, just a thin trail of blood surging when it connects just past her armor and to find flesh down her back. Not too deep but it makes her roll forward...

... as she twists and turns to face her opponent mid-roll she tosses one of her Sais, catching the man on his shoulder, close to where it meets neck. Just a few inches from a killing blow. Still, it makes the man stagger back, just ripe for either Danny or Colleen to take him out just as she slowly climbs back up to her feet.

Danny Rand has posed:
Danny is a martial art machine, trained by the very best martial artists of the mortal and mystical elements. These hand guys are nothing. However, the warrior who seems in shock at what just happened is grabbed by Danny and chucked at Bakuto, if Danny is able to solidify his grip while the man is stunned.

Immediately afterwards though, he looks at Elektra's opponent, whom is left open and attempts a spinning roundhouse kick that would make Bruce Lee extremely proud.

Though he wonders the status of Bakuto...if he's everything the Hand represents, he is perhaps the most dangerous adversary in the room.

Danny Rand has posed:
Danny is a martial art machine, trained by the very best martial artists of the mortal and mystical elements. These hand guys are nothing. However, the warrior who seems in shock at what just happened is grabbed by Danny and chucked at the table to break him through it, if Danny is able to solidify his grip while the man is stunned.

Immediately afterwards though, he looks at Elektra's opponent, whom is left open and attempts a spinning roundhouse kick that would make Bruce Lee extremely proud.

Though he wonders the status of Bakuto...he can't be allowed to escape! or at least that's Danny's thinking, even if wisdom might suggest that they don?t pursue."

Colleen Wing has posed:
The man taking the knee to the face from Elektra is knocked out cold or dead. I mean the way his face is caved in, he certainly will wish he just died or he is going to be deformed for life. The man stabbed in the beck with the sai screams iout in pain, staggering back and wildly swinging, his eyes slowly glazing over as every swing becoming less effective, the blood pouring from his neck. The blade drops from his hand and he is met by the spinning roundhouse from Danny. He flies into the wall and falls face forward on the floor, another loud *thud* as his face hits wood.

Colleen finds herself tiring as well, the man still swinging down in blind agressive strikes. As his blade raises for another strike, she raises her own to parry and uppercute him in the groin as hard as she can. The man doubles over and as his head is lowered, her katana swings out to slash him in the neck. Kill or be killed is for sure. The one she sliced in the back staggers froward from behind her, sensing it, she thrusts her katana over head as he is swinging down, catching him in the stomach and plunging it deep, his attack pausing as he staggers backward, dropping his blade and clutching his stomach, eventually falling to the floor in a crumlped heap, blood pouring from his abdomen. A quck look about, Colleen realizes the threats have bene neautralized and collapses to the floor, breathing heavily. "Are they done?"

The room is nothing but fallen Monkey Men and wounded, dead or dying Hand warriors. It is then that the sound of police sirens can be heard, and Collen can be heard muttering from the floor. "We don't wanna be here...they can find the drug production...and hopefully think they killed each other."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra grimaces briefly. Sloppy. Taking a sword cut on her back. But she will live. The sais go back to her belt and she looks at them over. "We need to get out of here." she says of the sirens. This certainly didn't seem to had gone according to plan. Dead people. Hand. Bakuto. Rand finding out a few things about Colleen. But then again, made it had been time.

She walks over to where Colleen is on the ground, reaching over to pick her by one arm to have her up. She nods at Rand. "Give me a hand here." she asks. There is a smirk under that mask, good thing she wears one.

And then it's time for them to get out of this place and back to their motobikes.

Danny Rand has posed:
"Looks like it." Danny replies as he makes sure everyone is down before he moves on over to Colleen to help assist her up to her feet. "I have many questions, but not here. Police are on their way. Not like we didn't make noise." he tells them both as he helps Colleen onto Elektra's motorbike.

They gotta get the hell out of dodge unless they want to stop Defending.

This is something of too much at one time for poor Danny. Like he's trying to wrap his head around it. Seems the Hand is starting to eliminate competition. But this Bakuto...is he one of the Fingers?

Answers must be had.
