Synopsis: Batgirl and Elektra participate in the assault on the Semira medical labs in Budapest. They end up rescuing both Selene and Michael Corvin from their hibernation chambers. Selene turns Michael in to the first Vampire / Lycan hybrid after being separated from one another 20 years ago.
Cast of Characters: Barbara Gordon, Elektra Natchios

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The night had come. Barbara and Elektra had experienced quite a handful of days since their meeting with Lucien. They'd had their ups, their downs, and everything in between too.

But now, here they are on the Pest side of Budapest, staked out on the southern side of the medical facility that is fenched in on all sides.

Lucien's people were in place, and via a secured phone line they'd talked briefly, texted many more messages, and the plan was ready to kick off.

This side of the city was known for its dilapidated buildings, with a few high wealth industrial facilities mixed in around a sprawling park area. The ultra rich mixed in with the ultra poor.

Babs and Elektra lay in wait in the middle of a old stadium that was decommissioned about five years ago, awaiting to be demolished in wake of a new complex opening up in a fanicer part of the city.

There was no rain tonight, but heavy clouds did sit high in the sky helping to block out the moon light...

But Lucien's people didn't need the moon to transform in to their Wolfen figures... no they could do it at-will.

A cold wind rushes across the two women as they stand on the third story of the old stadium, Batgirl's cape whipping in the wind. They can see all of the Semira building, a circular shaped building with a courtyard in its center. Guards visibly patrolled its exterior, and unknown to them, things were about to get pretty wild.

"They're coming in from the north." Batgirl says, dropping her eyes from her wrist computer to send them down to her belt where she adjusts some of the gear hanging on the golden utility belt strapped tight around her waist. She bounces her green eyes up and over to Elektra on her right. "We're going for the courtyard. Once the distraction is on.. Are you ready?' She quietly asks her friend in this fight.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
No moon. Full darkness. Elektra preferred it that way, the cover having often provided a good set up for undercover missions. And assassinations. It helped that with her recent problems with Black Sky and Colleen she had become more adept in seeing in the dark. And even if it wasn't perfect sight she knew it wasn't something normal. It is one of the many things going through her mind as they wait atop that old stadium. The most prominent thought though? Selene. Would she be at the Semira Labs?

Would they reach her in time?

It was a strange feeling to have such thoughts. Vulnerability. Weakness to some. To Elektra? She wasn't sure. She takes just a second too long to acknowledge Batgirl when she tells her Lucien's people are moving in.

"I am ready." she assures Batgirl, voice a whisper and she brings both hands up to get her red mask up over her face, covering the lower half of her face.

"Let's get this done." and she gets up from her perch, feeling the cold wind.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Not but a second after Elektra responded that there was a bit of a rising tension filled with silence between the two women as they stood side by side, with only the night wind rolling across them and the Semira lab glowing from its various lights before them.

Babs was drawing in an audible breath which made her body expand a bit inside her armor. "I thi--" She's saying...

When an explosion to the northwest goes off. It makes all the lights on the block in front of them blink on and offer, the power grid wavering from it, and Batgirl's eyes darting toward it. Overhead her drones start whizzing above she and Elektra as they head toward the mayhem that is sure to be breaking out soon.

Followed by automatic gunfire.

"Here we go." She says, before she offers her right hand to Elektra, to pull the woman in close. She knows the drill of how to fly with Babs.

Soon the pair will be stepping off of the 3rd story gothic-themed balcony of this old sports stadium, with Batgirl's cape snapping out in the form of wings upon the wind!

The pair start to sail across the parking lot, over the street, and soon over the fence of the Semira lab itself!

Down below, a few guards can be seen shouting in to radios, and running toward the action on the north side of the property!

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The tension is palpable. That wait before the storm. Before hell is brought upon Semira. They deserved what was coming though and that tension was helping to rise Elektra's own bloodlust, breathing faster. Heart thundering.

The explosion has her sharp gaze turn there. Watching for a moment. "Lucien wasn't joking when he said the distraction would be big.." give it to lycans to make everything big. She rolls her neck and then steps closer to Barbara, almost without the other having to say anything.

Such was the way they already knew on how to work together. So Babs's arm goes around Elektra's waist. Her own goes over Barbara's shooulder. And she holds on to her.

The approach is quiet. For who would expect their foes to come from the air? Yet as they now sail by the courtyard Elektra gets ready.

"Drop me amid them." voice sharp. She gets ready to drop down.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The pair sailed over the outer edges of the lab's property. It was one of the nicest property's left in this part of the city, with a tall fence that seemed to isolate the area from the high contrast of wealth and poverty.

Their flight was remarkably smooth through the sky, the technology that the Bats employing having been refined a lot in the past fifteen or so years of this kind of work. It doesn't take them but a matter of seconds before they're swopping down toward that courtyard where Elektra asks Batgirl to drop her off.

"Right." Babs says in the whipping wind that rushes across her cowl covered head. "Here we go..."

They whip RIGHT PAST the edge of the lab's roof, and come in over the courtyard where a group of four security guards are hoofing it toward the north!

Like a predator over its prey, much like the namesake of Babs' own personal group, she sweeps in over the group of well armed security, positions her hold on Elektra and then says. "Go! Release!" and drops the Ninja Assassin off right in amongst the team as she continues on ahead to finish her glide toward the hallway doors that the men were running for!

They see her, 'The Bat' just drop in out of the sky up ahead where they were going, only to use her gauntlet to lock the doors open.

One of the men shouts in Hungarian, as the rest raise their weapons up, standing a good twenty feet from Batgirl's back.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
It's a shame they can't take the time to appreciate the city from above, for even through the explosion and the gunfire shots being heard it's still a beautiful city. Yet right now? Their eyes are fully on their prey. And on saving Selene.

Elektra takes in a sharp breath right before Barbara lets her go, the nimble assassin dropping from above. Right behind the group. And silent as a cat.

One knee touches the ground and her hands bring out a couple of sais. And as the men take note of Batgirl? That's when Elektra moves in, taking advantage of the distraction.

The first gets a Sai through a shoulder and gasps in pain, just in time for the other guard to turn and get a kick to it's weapon that sends it flying. A rotating kick follows it, hitting the man on the chin and he drops unconscious.

The remaining two guards continue to shout, for a moment unsure on who to point their weapons to, the surprise evident in their faces.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The security guards indecision won't last long though, as Barbara's drones sweep in overhead, two of the four sending down explosive shocking bolos that land around the men's shoulders, and trigger a untold voltage of electrical stunning power in to the men, enough to make their bodies gyrate, their weapons to fall out of their hands, and to leave them crumpling over upon the cobblestone pathway through the fancy medical facility's courtyard.

It's then that the four drones fly off toward the north, likely to investigate the situation unfolding between the Lycan's and the gate guards...

Batgirl looks over her shoulder toward Elektra. "I've got us locked in to the computer system that runs this whole place." She says as the other joins her, and she motions for the hallway inside.

Inside it is pure white, brightly illuminated, and spotlessly clean. The hallway shines bright as the two dark clad women stride inside it, Batgirl's cape flowing around her long legs and golden boots.

Her eyes are on her gauntlet with its holographic map showing their way.

"All their forces are headed to the north." She says as they pass what looks like office doorways.

"Take a right here." She states at a intersection, with the sounds of shouting up ahead, and two more guards running past toward the north, not seeing the women at all as they just run at full speed toward what is likely the building's lobby.

"I think your friend will be in the basement, if she's here at all. There's a sizable lift up ahead, looks like it goes underground..." Babs says as they walk at a fairly fast paced clip.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Remember me to never get on your bad side."

So sayeth the assassin while watching the guards drop down after that jolt of voltage through their bodies. In a way it's a mercy though, Elektra would had most likely left permanent injuries on them. Or worse...

The bright illumination on the hallways takes away any notion of stealth for Elektra. At least where it comes to going unseen. She still goes walks quiet as night though, even if she is now fully visible in that skin tight armored black suit, only the upper part of her face visible beyond the long ponytail of dark hair.

"Lucien and his friends seem to be making quite the ruckus. Good." Not that dealing with the lycans made her feel any good. She knew it might come back to haunt them sooner than later. She makes way to the elevator and presses on the button to call it up. A brief look around to the empty hallways and then back to Barbara. "If she's here I believe they will have defenses down there in the basement."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The two women progress down the main corridor unmolested. They arrive at the checkpoint prior to the large lift that Babs indicated. It's blocked off by a bulletproof glass doorway with a retinal identification scanning system. "Give me a minute." Batgirl had said to Elektra, before she'd gone to work on it.

Interfacing with the device via her wrist computer, Babs needs only half a minute to start accessing previously used retinal scans to garner access through the checkpoint.

While she works, the sounds of distant combat can be heard, possibly even rising some tension within both of the women infiltrating this facility. "Anything this heavily guarded has more secrets than just your friend within it..." Babs says moments before she chooses one of the retina patterns and the gate blinks open with a green flash around its edges. The door hisses and spreads apart allowing the two women in to the otherwise closed-off section.

With her cape flowing behind her body, Batgirl strides through ahead of Elektra and arrives at the lift. She keys it, and with an affirmative chirp it begins to send the car to their level. "I have a view of what's outside." Babs says as she offers Elektra a look to her holographic wrist display.

It shows a gaggle of civilian heavy vehicles all parked on the corner that the assault is taking place at, firing weapons from behind cover, it doesn't appear to be Lycans, but just civilian mercs in assault gear, no sign of Lucien. "I'm not sure what to make of that... beyond knowing that several of my people back home would not be proud of me initiating such a fight here." She says with a grim undertone to her feminine voice.

Moments later the lift doors hiss and spread apart for the women too, and aboard the lift are three guards whose eyes all go wide at the sight of the two women standing before them.

A heart beat. Maybe two.

And then Batgirl dives in to the lift and engages with the men in good old fashioned fisticuffs!

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Semira has long worked with vampires from what I gathered." Elektra keeps guard over the place while Barbara works on getting through and inside the elevator, up and down the hallway just in case a lost patrol of guardsmen comes over. So far so good. The doors opening has her looking back to the elevator, striding in next to Barbara. "Whatever terrors they may have wrought during all this partnership with the vampires?" she shakes her head, "I would not know.."

Batgirl calling her attention to the display has her look over, closer to the woman's shoulder. What she sees has her narrow her eyes. "I don't like it. Let's keep our sixes covered. I don't want us to be followed by Lucien down here." Or even Eve. Elektra truly didn't trust any of them. But then again Elektra trusts only an handful of people in her life. "Also, you can blame it on me." this about the part on Barbara initiating a fight, "I was the one that forced you to come with me." which is right when the lift doors open.

Close quarters fight? Elektra is all over it, rushing in without hesitation and driving one of the men against a wall by way of a knee to the sternum. And then chaos erupts as the lift doors begin closing behind them, providing a rather close quarters battle. They do have the advantage of surprise though.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Three men, geared up in combat equipment, black ball caps, and armed. None of them had their guns out yet as they weren't even on the main level of the labs when the doors opened up and two very unauthorized figures were seen directly in front of them.

But the two women are combat experienced, and they both charge in to attack the larger men. Batgirl has the luxury of her suit being strength enhancing with a very tech-based skeletal system inside the fibers of the suit which let Babs fight on much more dangerous levels against her foes.

She slams one of the men in to the corner, then the other in to the backwall with a high kick of her gold right boot! She goes back to the first who has his sidearm out, but Babs disable his arm with a gruesome snapping of bone, and the sudden pop of his glock 9mm going off toward the floor of the lift. The echoing gunshot fills the lift as Batgirl literally disarms the man before dropping him to the ground, the second man charging her with a stun weapon held up high! Batgirl sweeps around to block his attack, then punches him so sternly in his chest that he flies back behind Elektra and slams in to the controls of the lift itself, making the doors open up again on to the main floor...

Batgirl grabs the same guy then, and just tosses him with all of her enhanced strength out in to the little lift lobby where he slams once more in to the bulletproof glass, and goes limp on the ground!

"Fuck." Batgirl mutters then, her fiery red hair laying down around her shoulders as her cape swirls behind her. She turns back to the first man she'd dropped on the floor, then over to see Elektra having made short work of her own attacker.

"So much for a easy in and out." She quietly utters.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The fight is short and vicious but as a certain famous someone to be prepared is half the victory. As the men are pushed back into the elevator by way of Barbara's superior suit and Elektra's superior martial arts there is little they can do against the two women. The one with his focus on Elektra gets disarmed first as he goes for his gun. Clip and gun a moment later clatters to the ground and the assassin delivers a couple of blows on nerve points that leave the man's arm numb. He strikes at her still with his other arm but she blocks it before delivering a vicious headbutt.

And then he's joining the others outside the elevator, also unconscious.

"It was easy enough." she says of the fight, rolling her neck before nearing the controls on the lift. she looks over the various floors and ... "Bottom floor?"

A click later and the doors are closing again. The pristine look of the whole place is visible inside the elevator as well. The very clean walls (now a bit bloodied), all very white with perfect lines.

"No more chances to back out now." She points out. She knew they were going right down to the belly of the beast now. And whatever they would find would most likely not be good. Or easy to handle.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Batgirl gathers up the glock that the man dropped on the floor as Elektra goes to the control panel which has a touch screen interface. She glances to it for a second, because... tech and Barbara... but ultimately her eyes go back down to the gun. She starts to dismantle it, ejecting the magazine, the round in the chamber, followed by her gloved hands taking it down to pieces before she just drops them on the floor of the lift.

"I feel blind without my drone network." She admits to Elektra as they travel in the moving lift car downward. Her green eyes go over to the other woman, who gets a small smirk from the bat-cowl covered face. "No regrets though. This has been fun." She jests, though some part of her believes it too.

When the lift arrives at the lowest level, it dings, and the doors once more spread open. Before them is a hallway, not overly long, and its entirely empty with just a few yellow alert lights spinning near the ceiling along the length of the hallway. "Ah... my favorite color. How welcoming." Babs dryly states whilst stepping off of the lift, and bringing up her wrist display.

As they walk down the hallway toward a set of double doors at its end, she speaks up again though. "Bad news..." She says softly. "One of those guys up there set off a alert. Now they know someone is inside." She tells Elektra with a glance in her direction.

When they reach the doors at the end of the hallway, they're easily enough just opened up, and surrounding the women now is a large lobby area with multiple doorways, and a small sitting area. Ahead of them though, are two glass doors that seem to be locked behind a keycard system.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"You don't need your drone network to be impressive." Elektra says in that no-nonsense way of hers, turning to face the door as they continue to descend floors. She takes in a deep breath, steeling herself for what may be on the other side. "Though perhaps you can learn to trust yourself more." a beat, "And now I sound like my old master. Urgh." she makes a face under the mask.

Barbara says it's been fun and that has Elektra lift her arm to touch fists with the other woman, "To more fun in the future then."

And then they are off! The corridor expands out and she glances around. No welcoming party, it's not -too- bad even with the bad news that there's an alert going for them. "Good. Let them come." she says with a dark tone. A gesture towards the keycard system. "Seems like your kind of door, Batgirl." she starts to approach it.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The fist bump is exchanged for the fun of it, Babs having a very real sense of humor that her mentor surely does not when in situations like this. When they reach the glass doors with the keycard, Babs considers the options. "Yeah... odd though." She quietly states before once more she's using her wrist computer to access the computer inside the lock. "Mmmh. Closed." She mutters before detaching something from her gauntlet. She leans down to inspect the reader beside the door, then after a moment, Babs just unceremoniously rams her fist in to it, causing sparks to shoot out in all directions. The doors don't open. She smirks. "Worth a shot." She grimly admits before that device she'd pulled out of the gauntlet is slipped in to the remains of the door lock. "Hold on."

A second later the lights in the room all just start exploding with bursts of sparks, the kind of thing that might make the average person jump where they stand, but Batgirl just remains staring at her computer... such a modern 'millennial'. At least she's not a Zoomer though, right?

Finally the green light on the top of the ruined keycard slider turns a bright green, fully illuminated while the red indicator beside it goes out.

The doors click and one of them opens up beside Elektra's right arm... and a gust of cold air rushes out of whatever lies behind the glass doors, a dark room of some kind visible on the other side.

"There we go..." Batgirl says, with another burst of sparks coming down from the ceiling high above in the lobby behind the women, and yellow emergency lights coming online a second later to bathe the lobby area in a dull sickly color.

Beyond the glass doors, the women will move down a set of stairs on to a metal plateform with a grated floor panneling beneath their feet. Ahead of them is a series of stairs splitting off to the left, and right, with a control computer station directly in front of a railing that overlooks a dark room stretching out good and far, hard to see how far in the absence of light within the cold chamber.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Is punching part of the science?" Elektra inquires, arms folded as she watches Barbara have a go at it at the glass door panel before eventually it's unlocked. Like Barbara she doesn't seem that jumpy with the lights and sparks coming from the lights in the room, she just looking over her shoulder to make sure they don't have company. Even if she knows it's only a matter of time until they are found.

Though hopefully they will find Selene before that.

The new room ahead of them calls the assassin's attention to it and she walks forward, full of deadly intentions and half-hopeful dreams. Eyes pierce the darkness and she steps towards the computer. "Don't suppose you can find the light of this room?" she asks of Batgirl.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
"You'd be surprised how often that works." Batgirl says in reference to her fist being sent in to the fancy touch screen lock panel beside the doors. Once inside, however, she just simply roams her eyes about for a brief moment before starting down the metal staircase toward the landing with the computer stations on it. "Reminds me of something back home..." Babs says, but doesn't elaborate.

The Batcave.

"Yeah, sure give me a second." She tells the other woman as she pushes the two office chairs away from the station desk that the monitors rest on. Once more she's accessing the computers remotely via her wrist computer.

It takes just a minute precisely before her wrist beeps, and a series of industrial lights pop on above the heads of the women and start rapidly turning on all the way down to the other side of the chamber they're in. The chamber is revealed to be about fifty yards long and thirty or so wide. All along the champber walls are ominously unsettling metal and glass cylindrical stasis chambers. Elektra and Barbara had seen similar pods before back in New York at the Semira facility prior to the old Doctor showing up to confront them.

"Oh boy..." Batgirl utters as she eyes the veritable treasure trove of potentially sealed-up subjects.

"Lemme see which one has... your friend." She starts to say next as she leans forward to tap the mouse to turn on the nearest terminal monitor bank.

"Huh." Batgirl states.

"There's only two registered as occupied." She informs Elektra before she looks up past the computer monitors and past the metal railing that they sit in front of. "Those two." Batgirl states, pointing to a pair that sit side by side near the center of the first row of pods.

Her eyes go back down to her wrist display though, and with another few taps upon it she shakes her head side to side. "I'm not sure which one she's in, but we can probably tell by checking through the glass."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra swings over the railing to drop down by the computers. Because use stairs is overrated. She drops by silently, the black, skin-tight suit doing well to both absorb light but also the sound of her steps. Anxiety registers on Elektra when those lights come up and she notices the pods by way of she taking in a deep breath. Would these be as empty as the others they had found before?

Once Batgirl points out the two pods that are in use Elektra dashes forward to check on them. Would Selene be here? She reaches the first and puts one hand on the glass, leaning in to peer inside, her breath misting the glass.

Eyes adjust to the darkness of the place and the pod, looking at the occupant...

"Can you bring them both out?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
While Elektra moves to check on the pods directly, Babs continues to stay stationed up by the computer terminals on the metal dias. She takes a moment to switch over to the drone feed of the fight outside, and catches a view of a much calmer situation than what was happening before. "Police are on-scene outside. No sign of Lucien's people anymore..." She informs Elektra moments before the assassin in black turns to ask for both pods to be unsealed.

"Right, yeah. Take a few steps back." She warns as her eyes go back to the accessed computer systems in front of her. "Pod A, opening now."

Tap tap tap, Batgirl's fingers work at her wrist computer and what follows is the tell-tale hiss of hydraulics and gasses being released as the front panels start to split open. Dense white fog pours out of the pod in all directions as its contents are literally slid out of the pod at Elektra's feet.

It's a completely naked man with long blonde hair. He lies unconscious on his side now, with the fog rolling around him, partially concealing his form.

"Pod B opening n--"

A gun shot rings out behind Babs shoulder causing her to jump this time, she spins around and holds up a dangerously long, and sharp, batarang!

"That's it!" A man's voice shouts from the top of the stairs. "I've had it with you two!"

It's Kraven, and flanking him on either sides are two Death Dealers. "Back, the fuck, away from those computers now, or I'm putting a bullet right in that pretty exposed mouth of yours." He says angrily straight at Batgirl as his two flanking guards level automatic rifles at the Bat as well, with her being much closer than Elektra currently is at the pods some thirty or fourty feet away.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Means they left. Our time is limited." Elektra is none too happy. And they still need to get out of here as well. And even hopefully they may be carrying an unconscious Selene it won't be easy. The assassin steps back as Barbara does her magic to open the pods. Pod A first...

Elektra's eyes widen just a touch, perhaps hoping it would be Selene yet it turns out to be a blonde man. "This is not her, it's--" she doesn't get to finish the sentence as the gun shot springs her into action, she moving closer to the side and against the wall, virtually merging with it as if she was part of the shadow.

Kraven. Again. And two Death Dealers. Not an easy fight for the marvellous duo but they have gone too far to give up now. So she begins moving along the wall, closer. Hand goes to one of the smoke grenades on her belt and the next moment it's flying through the air in the direction of the Death Dealers, she hoping the distraction will give Batgirl time to get out of harm's way.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Kraven starts to move slowly down the metal steps now, keeping his glock 9mm trained right on Barbara's lips a few feet away yet still. "Natchios!" He calls out without looking. "Get out here right now, join your friend or I swear to FUCK I'm going to put a bullet inside her brain, then drain the life out of her with my fangs!" He angrily shouts as he grips the handgrip of his weapon with a tight squeeze. "No mor games! No more niceties! Get out here now bef---"

And then Elektra's smoke distraction comes whirling in toward him, his guard, Batgirl, and the computer dias itself. The hissing cannister draws a glance from all three of the Vampires, which does indeed give Batgirl a second to act...

But she doesn't go on the offensive. No, she instead taps something rapidly on her wrist computer which causes every single pod in the large chamber to suddenly spout out their white fog, spread their metal and glass panels, and split wide open!

Including Pod A...

Kraven fires his gun twice at Batgirl, hitting her square in the bat symbol on her chest, causing her to topple head over heels over the railing and fall down in to the dense mist forming across the chamber's floor! She vanishes down inside the fog as the lights go out, and red emergency lighting starts to snap on along the walls of the laboratory up and down the length of the entire room!

"Get her, get down there and get her!" Kraven shouts to his two guards who rush past him to march frantically down the metal staircase on the left to retreieve Batgirl's body from within the knee-high fog that is flowing around upon the floor.

Kraven steps forward to peer over the railing, but sees nothing, before he looks up around the entire chamber at all of the pods that now settle in the open status.

"Elektra. It's over. Come out and we can settle this. Selene isn't here. She's dead and gone. The game is over." The man with the long dark hair says, his voice suddenly calmer and more 'convincing' of his 'honest' intentions as he stands in the center of the metal computer dias level..

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Chaos. Shots fired. Batgirl toppling down to the mists. Things look dire but are they truly over? Batgirl having filled the room with mist provides the expert assassin with all the cover she needs for a silent approach, moving between heartbeats, closer to that computer dais level.

"You are right, it is over." Elektra's deadly voice echoes in the cavernous chamber, it helping conceal her position. It's followed by the sound of blades slowly sliding down from sheaths. Perhaps Kraven shouldn't had told his bodyguards to move away yet there is no time to call them back because Elektra dashes from amidst the fog and jumps up onto that dais fearlessly.

"Time to die." She promises the vampire, her eyes red with rage as she lunges forward, both sais at the ready, fully intent on skewering Kraven once and for all!

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The two guards are moving in a circle around one another as they tap at the floor beneath the fog with their booted feet. They're searching for Batgirl's body, and seem to be having trouble locating it...

Kraven, meanwhile is searching the fog for Elektra. He knows she's out there, and he's trying to zero-in on her with his advanced senses. Being that he's a vampire, and she's a hot blooded Human he can still likely get a beat on her before she's able to... But something else garners his attention. He flares his nostrils ever so slightly moments before his brow furrows and his gun levels in to the fog again...

And then she's there, the Assassin in Black landing on the dias mere feet before him. He watches her draw her swords, and his lips curl up in disgust. His fangs are visibly bared to Elektra for the first time since she'd seen the man, and with a snarl he pops off another shot at her!

But his shot goes wide, when his arm is slashed by something moving in a blur! A powerful deep growl rumbles through the room, as whatever had struck Kraven is now landing on all fours upon the stairs up to the hallway that everyone arrived through.

It turns now, its bare body a deep dark color, long hair hanging from its extremities...

It's a Lycan. A male Lycan. The naked man from Pod A?

Kraven falls backward against the railing away from the Lycan, his Guards turning to rush up and fire their guns! One shoots at the Lycan, the other shoots at Elektra!

The Lycan lunges away from the rifle fire, and instead lands squarely upon Kraven, sinking his massive maw of teeth in to the Vampire's shoulder who cries out in pain. Kraven's neck and shoulder are literally being torn open by the Lycan, before two pistol shots go off directly in to his chest!

The Lycan stumbles backward, as Kraven sits up, with his guards rushing up the stairs to try and finish off the Lycan, and Elektra!

Down below, in the fog covered chamber, the mists start to swirl, the air flow within the lab moving the fog and trying to disperse it.

As the fog is displaced, a new figure becomes more and more visible. A naked form sprawled out across the middle of the floor. A female form, lithe and pale skinned. Her nude body looks elegant, and utterly vulnerable as she just calmly rests on her side amongst the lightening fog.

Black hair... strewn about her head.

She shifts, she stirs, with muscles tensing up as her fingers quiver upon the cold concrete. She raises her head up, with her black hair tendrils falling away from her eyes. Brown eyes, dark brows that first start out at a place of confusion soon sink down in to a place of displeasure at what she sees.

Her brown eyes turn a new shade, they shift from deep dark hues in the red emergency light, to a visibly pale moon glow.

Her lips spread apart as her fangs are bared to the room...

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Enemy of my enemy is my friend. It's perhaps the first time that Elektra is happy to see one of those lycans rushing out of the shadows. Though perhaps happy is too strong a word even if there's a certain delight in seeing Kraven struggle.

Blades flash as the assassin moves forward, elusive like a serpent, striking at one of the guards that is coming up the stairs and drawing a faint streak of blood as their focus is in protecting Kraven and not exactly protecting themselves against threats. A mistake that guard won't make again though as he turns to face Elektra, the woman blocking his path, "Now we dance you and me--" a pause as another figure comes up from the mists. For a second there she believes it might be Batgirl but no. There is no mistaking the form. The black hair. The curves she had memorized and learned to love. It all comes rushing in all of a sudden as her breath momentarily leaves her...

A feeling that seems shared with most in the large chamber, a brief moment of pause as they take in the deadly vampire that has just been released.

"Selene..." Elektra finally whispers as if to break the spell just as she feels a blade slicing across her shoulder from the guard she was fighting with, some blood splattering through the air as she falls down, disappearing briefly in the mist.

How deep was that cut?

Barbara Gordon has posed:
What sight there is of Selene is caught by many, including Kraven. But where she was, she is not for long. A hiss escapes from the re-awakened Vampire assassin, and her body rolls backward off of the medical table she'd fallen across. She disappears down in to the fog!

With the distraction of the beautiful naked woman even catching Kraven's guards attention, something takes advantage of it.

A blur of black and gold sweeps in from the large chamber's ceiling, boots extended. Batgirl impacts right in to the guard that was attacking Elektra! He's sent stumbling backward in to the metal railing, where he tries to recover, but Batgirl is on him in a second, delivering powerful punches to the man's stomach, and across his chin!

Kraven, meanwhile, clutches his neck as he starts crawling up the stairs back toward the room's exit. He eyes the chaos unfolding int he room, and seems to be inching his way toward a retreat!

His second Guard comes rounding the stairs up out of the fog, his first foot gaining purchase on a stair before a glimpse of motion out of the fog comes up behind him!

A bare arm, pale as a freshly fallen layer of snow!

The Death Dealer screams as he's pulled backward off the steps and down in to the fog, disappearing inside it down to the floor below the three-foot deep layer of dense steam wafting through the room from the hibernation pods.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Batgirl swooping in towards the guard Elektra was fighting against means the assassin is saved from being skewered by a finishing blow. And that distraction means she's gone the next second, disappearing amidst the mist as well. She had made a mistake, letting her feelings to the fore instead of focusing in the battle. But no more.

It was time to end this.

Blood. Screams. Chaos. The battle is swiftly turning their way as Kraven's guards are defeated. Yet their Master still remains. One of the many responsible for it all. It's perhaps too bad for him that he's present in this room right now for Elektra's anger has to be released...

Like a wraith rising from the depths of Hell the assassin comes up from the mists, between the exit stairs and Kraven, her black suit making it so all Kraven can see is the hatred in her eyes.

"Time to die." She promises, and rushes towards Kraven.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Kraven was quickly looking around at the situation. He could see his second guard get pulled down in to the mist, he could see his first guard engaged with that detestable whore from Gotham City, and he could see the Lycan male clutching his chest from the silver bullet that Kraven put in to his mid-section.

But then there was Elektra. Damnable Elektra Natchios!

Kraven starts to push himself up to his feet, a equal measure of hatred sent back her way. "I warned you to stay out of all of this! You've done nothing but make a mess of everything!" He shouts, staggering up to his ffull height with the help of his gun-holding hand on the staircase railing.

As Batgirl throws the Vampire Guard down to the ground, her strength-enhancing suit allowing her to go toe-to-toe with a powerful Vampire, Kraven snarls before he just raises his gun up and aims it at Elektra's face before she can reach him!

A gunshot rings out then!

Only it's not Kraven's gun.

Behind Elektra, a group of four have now arrived in the hibernation chamber. Lucien at the front of the group, his piercing eyes leveled past Elektra at Kraven... and in his hand he holds a simple pistol.

Kraven clutches his chest, then pulls his hand back, his Vampire blood mixed with a pulsing blue fluid. A Ultra-Violet bullet.

Kraven winces as he turns and starts to move down the stairs, only to drop to his knees and fall haphazardly down the stairs to the landing beside his guard that Batgirl hovers above....

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Who brings a gun to a sword fight?

Elektra knows it will be a tight affair. She /has/ dodged bullets in the past. Or rather, she was faster than the one pulling the trigger and getting out of harm's way. Sometimes it's all about predicting where someone will shoot. But fighting someone with improved reflexes? Along with an injured shoulder? Hard. But not impossible.

She is right in the middle of rushing and ducking under when that shot rings out. Elektra watches Kraven topple down the stairs to a dramatic drop on the floor, head sharply turning to the corridor to see Lucien and a few more lycans come in. Things are getting complicated. Eyes narrow just so but she dips her head briefly back at Lucien for the help.

What she does next is jumping down the stairs towards that guard Batgirl is fighting with and since Elektra doesn't fight fair she strikes him from behind with a heavy kick to the top of his head to have him get knocked out.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The Vampire Death Dealer that Elektra delivers the brutal kick to is dropped down on the ground with a crunching thud upon metal grated ffloor panels. He's descended upon by Batgirl who applies a sedative gun to his exposed neck. She injects the man with a powerful tranqualizer strong enough to put a elephant down, of which she hopes is enough for a Vampire... but she really doesn't know.

When Batgirl sweeps herself back up, she's right there beside Elektra, and her green eyes search over the eyes of her friend. Her gloved left hand even comes out to touch the side of her arm, before her attention falls to Kraven who was crawling toward their feet....

"Much apologies, Miss Natchios." Lucien says. "But I hate him even more than you do." The long haired Lycan Leader states with a whiskey=-smooth tone to his accented English. His gun at his side now, the trench coat adorned man starts to walk to the top of the stairs to look down at the women. His icy cold expression is neutral as he scans them over, but ultimately his stare goes to the Lycan who is clutching his chest and sitting back against the railing mid-way up the stairs.

"Michael..." He says softly, the name evoking memories in Elektra as the father of Eve, Selene's former lover. "You've not got long." Lucien states, starting to take the steps down, his guards lining up behind him near the doorway out.

Lucien stops moving though, his eyes looking past Batgirl and Elektra.

Selene stands there in the fog, no longer nude, now covered in the black canvas trench coat that the second Death Dealer had been wearing, the jacket plled closed over her lap while it exposes skin from her fflat stomach, up between the visible swell of her breasts, covering her form 'just enough'.

She stares at the entire group on the steps. Her moon-colored eyes looking dazed and confused.

She begins to walk then, her steps graceful, her motions fluid. She ascends the staircase to where Batgirl and Elektra are, Babs getting a strange look, while Elektra falls under her intense gaze. She reaches out for Elektra's fface, touching the side of her face for a ghostly second before she snaps her eyes over to Michael.

She rushes toward him then, crouching beside him.

She exchanges a look between him, and then to Lucien, before looking back again to the dying Lycan man.

"Bite him." Lucien says, his voice wickedly cold, his intense stare ever strong, like polished steel.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The crawling Kraven gets a look of distaste out of Elektra. More pity than anger as she sees the struggle the vampire is on. A booted foot presses to his side and she pushes him away with little concern for his well being.

"I believe it." Elektra says back to Lucien in the same cold tone, "He's easy enough to hate." though she doesn't go to finish him off, perhaps imagining he will be done soon enough.

The same way that lycan dying on the stairs appears to be. The name does bring memories back, her eyes widening just so. Makes sense they'd be put on the same chamber. Eyes go to the him briefly before her attention is taken first by Batgirl at the touch, followed by a nod that seems to tell she is okay. Then to Selene. Drawn to those eyes and lingering touch. There is much she would tell her yet nothing but silence greets Selene. Perhaps a shared look between each other is enough for Elektra to say all she wanted.

All until those last words. 'Bite him'. Elektra looks up at Lucien and narrows her eyes now, "And what will that do?" she asks him.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Selene kneels down beside Michael, one hand on his shoulder and the other reaching out to lay across his stomach beneath the wound inflicted on him by Kraven. Crawling Kraven... Batgirl watches him shifted by Elektra's boot, but Babs' eyes are drawn to Selene's. She can see now, finally, how alluring the woman is. She's captivating, really. Babs' green eyes go to Elektra, watching the two interact. She's internally grateful to have helped Elektra get this far, but she's unsure of what all this means, and might lead to next.

She remains quiet.

Lucien stares at Selene and Michael, interest clear on his face. He speaks to Elektra without looking at her, though his words are for Selene too.

"It's the only way to save him now. The silver is spreading through his system. It's destroying his ability to heal. If he's turned... if the virus that created both the Lycan, and the Vampire is combined... he'll be unlike anything ever created before."

Before their eyes, the mighty Lycan begins to groan, and his body begins to shift. He starts to physically transform back in to his Human shape.

It only takes a minute, and he's back to being himself... a lithe male with long blonde hair. Hair that Selene runs her left hand through, softly, before she stares at his face and sees the life leaving his eyes.

Selene's lips quiver, her eyes cast back to Elektra now... who'll note they've returned to her natural brown-hued pupils.

When Michael lets out a pained gasp, Selene looks away from Elektra again, back to the dying man.

"Bite him!" Lucien urges once more.

It takes only that, to cause Selene to obey. She leans in, and down.

With everyone watching, Selene presses her lips to his neck, and begins the process of turning the Lycan in to a Vampire...

"I have a bad feeling about this." Babs' feminine voice whispers in to Elektra's right ear now, sidled up beside the assassin with the blades.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
For all that Elektra has learned about vampires and lycans there is a lot that she doesn't know yet. What will happen if Selene goes ahead with biting Michael? And do consequences matter if the man is saved? Someone Selene seems to care for? It's perhaps why there's a barely perceptible nod out of Elektra towards Selene when she is looking her way. For considering all she has done to get to this point she would be a hypocrite if she tried to deny Selene a chance on saving this lycan.

She would do the same if Selene was dying after all. A deal with the devil if she had to.

It doesn't save her from having the exact same feeling Barbara is having. A very bad feeling about all this. A glance to her friend and she only moves her lips so as to not make any audible words. "Get ready." in case they need to make an escape. She can't bring herself to trust Lucien. Or any lycan.

Or really anyone to the exception of a very select few.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The process is takes only a minute or so, the display of it one of a slightly intimate nature. It shows the vulnerable state one can be in when they become at the mercy of a Vampire's bite. Selene leaned over Michael's naked form, her mouth wrapped around his neck...

Lucien, for all his strange appeal, stares at this with a bit of a morbid curiosity. Why? Because this is something he has believed could lead to the end of the war, a new type of creature, a hybrid of Vampire and Lycan. This could serve to be the end of the Vampires, the end of their enemies dating back 800 years. He seems borderline excited for the implications of this.

Finally, Selene leans back, and stares down at Michael whose eyes had shut before she'd begun the bite.

His eyelids flutter open again then, and his left hand glides up his own bare chest to the wound the silver bullet had left in its wake. A second later, and the clattering sound of metal falling upon metal at his side is heard. The bullet had been pushed out of his body, left to be dropped aside, discarded not unlike Kraven himself was at the present moment.

Batgirl just observes as the nude man's wounds self-heal in a way like she's seen from others before, but it never ceases to amaze her. She considers the injuries she's sustained in her past, and how quickly they could've healed... if she had just had a slightly different life, like those gathered around her now.

Batgirl exchanges a look with Elektra, as Selene begins to stand up again. Selene's hands reach out to help Michael stand too, and soon both of them are side by side on the steps.

Lucien seems so utterly pleased with this display, almost ecstatic. He pulls his eyes from the duo though, and looks down to Elektra, and the Bat.

"Come. Come with us. We have much to discuss." He tells everyone, motioning with his pistol to follow him toward the exit of the hibernation labs.
