Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt arrives home after work, dropping of his briefcase on a table and undoing his tie. He removes his jacket and lets out a sigh as he stretches. Boxer gets up with a soft mewl, hopping down off the couch to trot over and rub against Matt's legs. It's enough to earn the little Russian Blue a few pets. Which once Boxer knows he has the human's attention, he goes straight for his food bowl. Sitting there looking at the empty bowl.

Then up at Matt.

Back to the empty bowl.

Back at Matt. With a look of disappointment. Which thankfully Matt's senses aren't quite keen enough to pick up on fully. "Yes yes, you'll get fed," he tells the cat.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"He already ate."

A rather familiar voice coming from the bedroom. And by the sound of it seems like she had been doing something reeaaaaallll fun. Laundry. And just now getting some clothes in their respective drawers. From hacker to .., housewife? Well, no. But someone has to keep things clean!

"The little rascal is just looking for attention." So pretty much standard Boxer. Daisy makes her way out of the room and pads quietly across the floor, placing a kiss on Matt's cheek.

"Welcome home." she whispers to his ear, hand brushing over his shoulder affectionately.

It's when the phone rings.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
"Boxer," Matt says after hearing Daisy's rundown of the cat's food situation. "I hope you are looking suitably chastened now," he says. Which of course the cat isn't. He just sits there expectantly awaiting more food, following up the look with a soft meow.

Matt's attention is already on Daisy though. As she comes over to brush that kiss to his cheek, he slips an arm about her to draw her in against him. His nose goes into her hair and Matt draws in a deep breath, letting out a happy sigh.

"Laundry hmm?" he asks. "I meant to that Saturday. Though found that Russian chop shop," he says, trailing off as he gets to the part that involves the fighting.

The phone saves him. The phone announces, "Karen calling. Karen calling." Matt pulls it out of his pocket and answers it. "Hello, Karen," he offers in his quiet, deep voice. His one arm is still snuggled about Daisy's waist.

"Hrm," he murmurs into the phone as he listens. "Yeah, sounds like something kids would do. So how bad is the damage?" he asks her. "Do you need Foggy and I to come help?" As he listens to the other end of the phone, Matt covers up the microphone to say, "Karen's apartment got flooded. Kids in the apartment above her plugged up the bathtub and forgot to turn it off," he says with a little wince.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"You mean the one where you then were spending the whole next day without being able to move your shoulder?" Oh, Daisy noticed. Hawk eye that she is! There's a mix of amusement but also of chiding. At least until Karen calls.

Saved by the bell.

"Hope it's not work." She whispers, low enough that it can't be heard over the line but Matt can. "Because you are on house arrest tonight." maybe Matt shouldn't had mentioned the Russian chop shop.

Daisy easily rests against Matt now as he speaks on the phone, a brow quirking when he speaks of damage, "Yea, kids these days..." we don't talk about the time Daisy did the same. But it was a long time ago. No need to remember it. Even if she lets out a soft sigh.

"That's not good.., does she have a place to stay?" a thoughtful look and then she adds, "Think we could manage an extra person here if we improvised a little." she finally suggests.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock tells Daisy, "I don't know I'll check," before uncovering the phone as he listens more. After a bit he says, "Ouch, well, glad that the landlord's insurance is covering everything," Matt says into the phone. "What are you going to be doing in the meantime? Can you stay there while they are doing the repairs?" he asks.

He listens a bit more before turning his head towards Daisy and giving a little shake of his head as if to answer her question. Karen goes on for a bit more and then Matt says, "Well, we have a nice soft couch. And a warm cat who would probably come curl up on you, if you need it for a couple of days," Matt offers. He listens a few more moments and then says, "She's good with it. It murmured to her what happened and Daisy offered it," Matt assures Karen.

He listens a few more moments, then says, "Ok, great. Want us to come help you bring anything over? No? Ok, well we'll be here when you arrive. I'll order some Mexican from that place you like. No, the other place. Yes, that one. Ok, Karen, see you in a bit," he says.

Matt hangs up the phone. "She'll be out of her place for a few days while they make repairs. Drywall and the ceiling, after they dry it all out," he says. "She said if she's too much of a bother she can stay with Foggy or someone else for part of it," Matt says.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Just can't feed Boxer after midnight or he turns evil." Now Daisy speaking loud enough that it can be heard on the phone. Both as a testament that she was indeed listening and is fine with the idea.

The rest of the conversation she listens in silence, arm resting loosely against Matt's shoulder while he talks. When the call is done she shakes her head. Mostly to her own benefit because she knows Matt can't see it. "We have the space. No need to have her go stay at Foggy's. Specially as his appartment isn't exactly that big." being paid in pies has it's drawbacks after all.

"Mexican eh?" She then arching a brow, "I thought the tradition was getting some Royal Dragon takeout for visits but ...., I will accept mexican for once."

It's followed by a small nudge of her elbow to Matt's side, "And now, Mr. I-was-too-busy-for-laundry, time to go get the place for our guest."

Matthew Murdock has posed:
"Well, we might have had a little team lunch there earlier today," Matt admits sheepishly. Though Daisy was at work and not like he'd expect her to come all the way back from the Triskelion just for some good Chinese.

He nods and says, "There's some extra sheets that are clean, and will get her a blanket and some pillows," he says. "Make sure the shades are drawn so she doesn't have to deal with the sign," he says of the obnoxious electric billboard across the alley that is what what made this beautiful apartment something that Matt could afford.

He gives Daisy a little peck on the forehead, then starts to move away before stopping as if thinking of something. He gathers Daisy up in his arms, kissing her soundly. When their lips part, he says, "Might be a little bit before can do that again," he says with a grin. "I'm going to go hit the shower and get changed," he says, still in his suit.
