Friendly Reunion
Date of Scene: 02 June 2023
Location: Mercy's Garage
Synopsis: Sprite visits to give Mercy a warning that's ignored.
Cast of Characters: Sprite, Mercy Thompson

Sprite has posed:
Sprite makes her way out to her favorite garage. She's driving the car Mercy made for her, and she pulls into the lot, driving up to park out front so the car can be an advertisement in itself. The redhead gets out of the car, approaching the door as she heads to either open it or knock, as appropriate.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy's life actually got almost dull. She kept busy, was doing work, and seeing what the next car brings her to solve. Between that and training she's had a pretty enjoyable routine going. That doesn't stop he from enjoying the visit from a friend. She knows the sound of that engine well. She BUILT that engine from the ground up basically and is already cleaning her hands as Sprite is making it to the door. "Come on in!" Inviting the illusionist inside.

Sprite has posed:
Sprite moves to come inside. The redhead looks slightly more serious than her normal irreverent self. She'd look a little older, except it's only in her expression. Her body hasn't changed. It never does. She steps inside, and looks over to Mercy. "Hey, what've you been up to?" she asks Mercy, looking over to the other woman.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy motions to the car. "Fixing cars, sometimes talking to the dead. Terrorizing small furry creatures in the woods sometimes." She does her best to be happy and carefree. She's in a good mood. "So what did I do to get so lucky for you to visit?"

Sprite has posed:
"Mmm. More like trying to take care of you. If you have any excuse to, now would be a good time to take a vacation. Somewhere out on the west coast. Nowhere near this part of the country." Sprite says, a little seriously. "I don't have a lot of people I try to keep an eye on. You're one."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
THe smile falters from her face and says, "I got family out there. What sort of 'something' is coming?" She starts to more seriously scrub at her hands. She is not used to Sprite acting like this, "I'm flattered you care, but this sounds like you may be messing with this and could use backup."

Sprite has posed:
"A necromancer showed up last night. Very old. Very powerful. And if I'm saying old, I mean old. My family has had to get involved before with this. Let's just say that with this guy on the field, I think there could be a LOT of dead people out there. So if I can put you somewhere more safe, so much the better." she answers Mercy. "They can't kill me. That doesn't apply to other people."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"IF you're dealing with a necromancer shouldn't you be asking me for help?" She doesn't advertise all she can do, but she's pretty sure Sprite knows of Mercy's connection to ghosts. "I am not as easy to kill as some others. So what's up? Why don't you want my help?"

Sprite has posed:
"This is not some little cultist, Mercy." Sprite says. "This is the kind of guy who can cast a spell and kill thousands of people. And so far as I know, you're not immune to necromancy. As far as I'm concerned anyone who's got the brain cells should be getting out of this region. It takes a lot to put this guy down. I destroyed his body, but that isn't going to stop him. He'll just possess and transform another corpse."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy shrugs and says, "I don't know what I can and cannot do, Sprite. Part of the problem is nobody does." She can maybe survive, maybe not. She shrugs a shoulder. "My best guide books are old legends in badly collected stories." She motions to herself as she puts a (mostly) clean hand on Sprite's short shoulder. "I'm good at finding out information and putting my nose where it doesn't belong. I also don't turn tail on my friends."

Sprite has posed:
Sprite sighs. "You're not going to listen, are you?" She sounds dejected. "Then do what you can to put up any wards or defensive magic you can. I told my other allies. I'm trying to get everything together." She manages a faint smile. "Just be careful. Watch your back."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy taps Sprite's nose. "Would YOU listen to me if the roles were reversed?" She shakes her head and says, "I can't do magic Sprite. Maybe I could try some like shamanistic stuff. Magic doesn't work on me or go right most times." Maybe a reason to have he around. Maybe?

Sprite has posed:
Sprite smiles. "Well, then maybe you'll make it out of this. I'm just trying to drop a warning, Mercy. I don't want to see anything happen to you. You're one of my few friends."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"You're one of mine too." But Mercy can tell Sprite won't tell her more or help her get involved. She'll just have to work on it herself. "Besides Mom's been bugging me to visit anyway." She looks at Sprite and says, "So would a friend like a cookie or brownie?"
