Why Bruce is not a morning person.
Date of Scene: 03 June 2023
Location: Central Park Zoo
Synopsis: Nat comes in for the save with purple pants.
Cast of Characters: Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff

Bruce Banner has posed:
It had happened again, as Bruce opens his eyes and squints his glasses long gone though he pats what is left of his pants down to see if he still had them. They made him feel better though thankfully he could still see though he seemed to be in a dark cave. He heard sounds from outside, and holding onto his pants with one hand he climbed out of the cave and into the light. Right into a man made enclosure with about fifty people surrounding it wondering where the other lions went and why the ones left are so scared.

Bruce looks up the large wall, and sees he is in the lion exhibit of the Central Park, and just sighs as people take pictures, and the staff from above is already yelling at him to get out of there as it was dangerous. Thankfully the animals that were left were way too freaked out about what climbed into that cave, and what Banner still smelled like way too much to make any move towards him, and would run if he approached though right now he held his ground.

Bruce looks, up and yells.. "Call Avengers tower... Tell them I need pants." and sighs turning to walk back into the cave, as the crowd has started throwing meat bits at him as he had ruined their viewing experince, and it was New York after all. It was about Mid-day, and the sun was up the tempeture was nice, and here was some half naked guy just tromping through the lion pit.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
The lions seem to be taking it reasonably well. They had in the past had demi-goddess avatars of blood in their pens, mercenaries fighting over them claw and tooth.. So given the lack of any sort of feral feline form, this was decidedly tranquil.

The buzz goes in to the Avengers Compound, where Natasha Romanova is finishing up her shift on monitor duty. About to head off when the call comes in. It takes a couple of queries to the Mansion's AI to confirm that yes, this is not a prank. And then a skimminf of news reports confirms 'General Ross' and little else is needed. There's a roar a few moments later as the Quinjet launches, appearing over Central Park about ten minutes after the call goes in.. And then goes in for a landing. And there is Natasha.. With a large pair of pants and some sneakers slung over her back.

ANd of course the pants are purple. Don't be daft.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Hearing the jet as the tunnel has actually quite good acustics a thin Bruce Banner leaves his cave again. This time holding a large bone with a frown as he looks up. "I think I might get another letter from Peta for this." and sighs a bit sadly, as he waits for his clothes so he can go back to the cave, check to make sure there wasn't some viewing from the back, and then changed. He didn't need to shock some poor kid with his old Banner Butt, so comes out fully dressed now looking up. 5R
"They are unlocking the doors to let me out.. they thought I was some streaker.." then stops, and decides just to go up there to talk so everyone didn't have to hear him. With a sigh again, he walks out of the place the animals going back to normal after he leaves the green monster being gone. Though Banner with his head hanging low is escorted to Natasha as he doesn't look up only say "Sorry."

The people 'escorting' him are a little rough, but they are not physically hurting him only shoving him like one would handing a criminal to the authorities. One of them speaks up, "Yea take this pervert.. I hope you don't get out for a long time." the other just spits at his general direction. Thankfully Bruce is more ashamed then angry, but the second guy gets a small beep from the watch that is actually still there and working, but Bruce covers it and closes his eyes breathing slowly. "It is okay, really."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
The Black Widow goes over to the men and lets out a sigh, before glancing over at them, "Do be polite." Her tone is polite in an intimidating way. Enough to hopefully make the handover go simply without anya gitation from the men. She goes to hand over him the clothes to put on a moment later, also flipping him a large shirt over.

"It appears that your friend is up to his previous games again." She would note dryly over at Bruce while gesturing at him to come along. "Are you all right?" It was always hard to gauge with Bruce. Here she was, the assassin that was well into her eighties and the mild mannered physicist was one that she hadn't the slightest grasp of. "I suppose that your denmates didn't have much of an issue."

Bruce Banner has posed:
Bruce looks up a bit, and gives he a weak smile. "I am okay.. I think I ate a lion." he starts as he is never sure what happened. He stops and follows Nat like the lost puppy now as he did not like being outside the people made him nervious and they all looked at him with hate in their eyes though he might deserve it a bit. "Is the city okay? I remember a woman... yelling out to me, and then pressure in my chest." he looks down to pat his chest to make sure that yes there isn't even a mark.

He tries to think. "I have flashes... Helicopters, a woman shot, so.. much.. ANGER.." then stops again.. he breaths. quietly.

He looks at Nat. "Damn that Ross.. Just tell me I didn't hurt anyone.. Please." he actually pleads a little as he knew how the city can look after Hulk goes crazy.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Now that Bruce has had a moment or two to get himself dressed quickly and been released over from the guards, she would calmly nod at him to let him fall in step towards the Quinjet. "None of the lions were eaten, no one has been hurt, and the city is more or less intact. Any catastrophies have been for the last few hours mostly keeping to their separate sections of the east coast." Now is not the time to mention that Superman is missing.

She frowns, "I'll try and pull up what I can from reports and see if we had any surveillance assets in the area. Stark may have better coverage." She's in 'business' mode now as she lets him strap himself in, and slides into the pilot's seat. Then, they're launching and on the way back to the Mansion.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Banner nods, "Good... Good." and sits down at one of the seats and puts his hand on a pad.. "The strongest Avenger." he says as the pad turns on welcoming him. He sighs, "Whenever I change it Tony changes it back." he admits to Nat as he also brings up information as she pilots back. He stops, and tilts his head... "I remember seeing this lady." he says to her moving the image to her computer with a small swipe. He had his interface setup very custom so his movements were well adkowledged.

He sends a picture of Rogue but dressed up in her Mighty Woman outfit the picture is of her spinning with a car in her hands. The car had two huge hand holds taken out of it, and she seemed to be spinning towards the Helicopter as if stopping it. "It seems the General has been ratioing the people who come out with a different story, making it a political thing."

Bruce sighed to himself, as this too was his fault. If he had not hulked out then there would be no need for this cover up so he just looks depressed at the news infront of him. "Are you going to lock me up for this?" he ask quietly.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would glance over at it, "Ah, you've been spending some time with Xavier's group. We can ask them for a summary of events if needed." The Quinjet would launch up into the air, doing a quick hop to take them in the direction of the Mansion. "It can't have been that bad. The X-Men tend to be well organized when it comes to damage response." So they'd have heard something.

They would be landing at the Mansion as she goes to unstrap herself. "It always is. He's a skilled leader when it comes to the most important thing. Getting the credit and assigning the blame. Those are all you need for any career in leadership." And as Bruce speaks of locking him up..

"I have far, far more blood on my hands than you ever will, Doctor Banner. If they're ever going tos tart putting us away in dark holes and never letting the light in, I will be the first one."

Bruce Banner has posed:
Banner nods, "Oh is that where she is from. It makes sense then with the floating. I am guessiong one of her powers, though I wonder if strength was a secondary mutation." then changes, "Another time perhaps." then falls to silence again for a bit of the flight. As she talks about Ross he nods, but says first. "Hulk isn't a bad guy... Or well I don't think so." he thinks about it. "He is just wild.. When you deal with him if you remember that you should be okay." he admits.

Hulk prob hated this skinny man giving away all his secrets, but she was nice to him, and Banner appreciated that.

He actually smiles for the first time, and there is a beeping noise, and the computer says "Packet Sent!" and Banner looks up, "Though one thing the general should learn.. You never mess with a scientiest. Especially one Tony has tought in the field of computers." he for a moment looks happy then goes back to his normal no emotion he likes to stay at.

While this is happening, most of the military is watching Ross snap out of his subordinate for the failed mission. So much so that he ends up falling on the floor slipping as he wasn't paying attention making the other man swear not to tell anyone, and to delete the recording. Which he didn't.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
The way the two got along was fascinating to Natasha. She had read some of the reports for hwo exactly the gestalt consciousness operated, but it was always unique to hear it for herself. "Hulk has.. Never been a bad person, from everyhting I've seen him do." Anger and rage did not make someone dark, after all. "So it sounds like he'd be more likely to declare one of teh lions his then to have as a cat despite how much they might try to claw at him for it."

She would deadpan over. "So is this something that I should alert my superiors over?" She meant with Ross. Interservice politics were always fun. So if Ross was going to go snapping at someone she wanted to make sure to let someone else know.. So they could have the popcorn ready.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"I am glad to hear that.. I really am." he looks down a bit. "You don't treat me like a monster, I bet big green would appreciate that too." he admits as he looks out to see the Mansion not wanting to get out just yet. "Thank you for coming to get me out of that." he sighs a bit. "I normally would of spent the night in a jail, only to wake up in another place. Since I joined the Avengers it has been way different." he stops and glances around. In a lower voice he says, "Did you know I have a full set of glass figurines... I have never touched a single one of them."

He smiles warmly for a moment, "And I get to keep things too,, though it is an unspoken agreement of course." he stops and is just spilling all the beans. Well if there was anyone who would listen of course it was the russian assasin. He then stops stalling an thinks about her question as he had to consider what seriously he needed to do with Ross. "I can't believe he miscalculated like that." Banner says. "If he is that sloppy it might be an issue not from the Hulk but from the general himself." he looks at Nat with a shrug, "But I would like to know more before I say anything to bosses." he gives her a nervious smile. "That is a bell that can not be unrung.. If it is the wrong move Ross could become a symbol other then the crazy man he is." then chuckles lightly, "But I am just a scientiest... what do I know."
