Cast of Characters: Billy Batson, Irie West, Audra Meridian

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson ponders the weekly meeting. He finishes marking a map of Happy Harbor and South Brooklyn showing weir wether he encountered for Audra. Then he double checks the launcher behind his desk slab. Finally he uses a little speed of Mercury to string up some lights. The place needs some cheering up. The inflatable furniture helps, covered with quilts and pillows. The battery pack is working for laptops and the fridge. He stats checking the new to a good cheap microwave. The place is coming along.

Irie West has posed:
It took her several tries to get the symbols right, but eventually she got there, and the portal into the Rock of Eternity opened up for her. "Wooooooow," she breaths once she steps in. "This. Is. So. Coooooool!" She comes in and all but throws herself onto an inflatable chair. "Comfy. Hey! A microwave! How do you get power up here? Oh! I should say hi. HI BILLY!" she says enthusiastically waving at him.

Audra Meridian has posed:
A few minutes later those that can sense it would feel the portal open again, followed by the familiar fwsssh of ionized thrusters winding down as Audra comes to a stop on the floor of the Rock. She glances towards the fridge, and notices the microwave also recently added. "The power source seems to be working well."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson is Billy for now. He greets and then pulls a t-shirt launcher out and fires shirts at Audra and Irie. "Hey, think fast!" He himself wears one that says, "I fought Brainiac and all I got was a t-shirt." He might have to change to Shazam fast.

Then again trying to do something fast around Irie is kind of a lost cause. Like even if she's pulling something very heavy.

And Windrose wears power armor!

Audra Meridian has posed:
Technically it's not full armor, but we won't nitpick over terminology. Audra jerks back at the launcher, but it's just a shirt bundle that thumps against her. "Brainiac? Ugh. Sounds like more evil mind powers." She picks the shirt up. "But it didn't take you long to get back into the superhero swing."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson's face lights up. "Can I tell you... I really upped my game. His drones adapt to attacks. You have to be really inventive and Wonder Woman was there and Superboy, the other one, not our Superboy, and Sunny... Sunny was incredible. She wasn't quite invulnerable to those drones and she... never faltered. Man f she had my powers or I had her heart... Eh... I got ice cream to celebrate besides the t-shirt goof. But seriously... this was the first time I felt like I really knew what I was doing in the big leagues. I'll shut up now." He goes to the fridge to get the refreshments. "Oh, I tracked all the weird stuff weather and such I logged the last five years. Waterspouts, Weather Wizard, the works."

Audra Meridian has posed:
Audra Meridian shakes her head with a smirk. "But if you had what each other had you'd have no need to work together." Pause. Then rubs the back of her head "... Wait, I don't think that sounded quite how I meant it." She hffs as she pulls her goggles up. "Oh? Cool. I'll take a look into thi--wait? Weather Wizard? Someone seriously uses that name?"

Irie West has posed:
Irie deftly snatches the t-shirt out of the air. "Think fast? I am the very //definition// of thinking fast!" There's a blur of activity where she swaps out her own Speed Racer t-shirt with the one that'd been tossed her way. "Neat!"

Her eyes light up at the mention of Wonder Woman. "You got to hang out with Diana? That's pretty cool! You're in the big leagues now! Some day I'm sure I'll take over for Dad and be a part of the Justice League too."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Oh, I'm forgetting my manners, but... I really don't know if you want to use your codenames or first names or share identities. I can vouch for Audra. Hang with Wonder Woman? He runs over to Irie and looms ver the sitting girl. "I wasn't hanging. I was fighting alongside! She was incredible! She wore her golden bird armor! She had these javelin things and she was just laying into these drones and Wonder Girl was there... packing heat... And Superwoman and Superboy in the black shirt and Indestructibelle and I was <Shazam>!" Boom! And he is Shazam posing heroically. "I laid into them and then the parts formed into a tentacle drone, but I blasted it apart, then they insulated up but I started spinning them really fast like your dad would! Then Super woman mad a city grow in the middle of the skull ship and... oh Silverdane and Honey Badger were kicking butt!" Shazam out of breath. Easy when you're running your mouth and forget you have to breathe to talk. He coughs and goes over to Audra. "Apparently villains have a thing for alliteration: Doctor Doom, Weather Wizard, Captain Cold... he throws lightning. He turned me back and Sunny had to rescue me. He's actually pretty dangerous... hey Irie, he's one of your villains, isn't he?"

Audra Meridian has posed:
"Oh, just I've had one or two wannabes complain about names like Weather Wizard or Mister Twister already being used. I.. guess there's some honor amongst thieves about codenames or something." Audra shrugs a bit. "You know the secret identity thing is only really for the public. So I don't have jerks harassing my family." She picks up some of the notes while Billy is going on about his adventure. "I've aided the Justice League a few times. Wonder Woman is pretty cool... Eh?" She looks at the two as her mind snaps back to the previous conversation. "Your father?"

Irie West has posed:
Irie's eyes go wide as Billy goes into his tale of daring-do. "Coooool! I wish I could have been there! I haven't been doing a lot of crime fighting lately. Mostly just going to school and dealing with Titans stuff which is..." She shakes her head. "Weird stuff, honestly. Like, mystical weird stuff, you know? We're doing this scavenger hunt for the Tuatha, whoever they are. Donna gave me some books to read about them."

She blinks at Audra and suddenly gets to her feet. "Oh! Yeah! I haven't introduced myself! I'm Irie West. Daughter of Wally West. Well, not //this// Wally, but a Wally from the future. I'm this era's Kid Flash, fastest girl alive!" With this proclamation she stands erect, chest puffed out, and strikes a superhero pose with her fists on her hips. She holds that pose for a moment before relaxing and holding out a hand to Audra. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson gives Irie a pat on the back. "I've known Irie for a while though we kind of drifted apart due to superheroing. I'm glad she's back. And Audra here is one of our resident scientists. Valeria Richards dropped in a few times. But she's pretty busy. I offered an invite to Silverdane. I think we should have people with various powers. Not everything gets solved with fists and lightning. Also the Shazam Family is still pretty young. We need some experience and education in our ranks."

"Also you guys are all great because you're you. I mean here's the fastest girl alive and she made friends with completely unremarkable Billy Batson."

Audra Meridian has posed:
"Oh, time travel. That makes sense... well as much sense as time travel makes." She accepts the handshake with her techno-gauntlet clad one. "Audra Meridian, meteorologist. Go by Windrose on the hero field." She flicks the fingers of her other hand, making a little breeze whiff briefly through Irie's hair. "Weather manipulator. Basically a tech version of all the wind and lightning around here." She smirks, the juxaposition of that still amuses her.

Irie West has posed:
Irie scowls and walks over and punches Shazam in the arm. "Don't you //dare// call yourself unremarkable. You're kind, and cute, and you have a big heart! That's not unremarkable. You helped me learn how to swim! Nobody else offered when it was obvious that I didn't know how. Just because Shazam can lift buildings it doesn't mean that Billy isn't strong in his own way."

She giggles as her red hair gets tousled by the wind. "Heehee. Yeah. I just go fast. I can phase through things, too! One of the first tricks I learned." She turns and flumphs back into the inflatable furniture, making it squeak. "I graduate Happy Harbor this year," she says. "I'm going to go to college but I don't know which one. Or what I'm even going to major in. Maybe take after my mom and--" She catches herself and shakes her head. "Nevermind. Let's just say I don't know."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson rolls a little so Irie doesn't hurt her hand. "Thanks. You know you're even cute scowling." He realizes Sunny is not cute when she's ticked off. She's scary. He leaves that unsaid. It's not that Sunny isn't beautiful. He smiles at Irie. "I remember that day. There was a wave out of nowhere. Audra, did I note that on the map? Yeah Dr. Pym became like 100 meters tall and made a breakwater. I think he strained something but you got stuck on the other side aaaaaaand I nearly went public as Shazam to find you." Pleasant memories. "So twinkle toes... I mentioned ice cream -have at it." He ruffles her hair a little.

Audra Meridian has posed:
"To be fair a lot of people don't know when they first start, or change their minds soon after. So take the first year to get the basics other stuff will build on out of the way," is Audra's advice on going to college. Then she unfolds the map again to check. "Yeah, it's on here... Tidal waves just don't occur out of nowhere... Oh good, you dated them too. That'll make doing cross reference with meteorlogical records easier." She folds the map back up. "Even if it doesn't find the cause, it can help rule out what's not the cause."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson sits on a stone chair. It's confortable when you're a night indestructible person. He rubs his chin and then says, "I'm not going to college. My sister is but she has a scholarship. I'd never get one and... school isn't my thing. My streaming service is making good money now, very good. I want to start helping my parents out with the younger kids. I aged out of the foster system and... thy said they'd never turn me out. I want to pay then back. This feels right. I may take some tech courses at night though... or ask for tech some support, Audra, if that's not insulting. You're a PhD or something right?"

Audra Meridian has posed:
Audra Meridian laughs softly and shakes her head. "I didn't go as far as a doctorate. I want to be out, discovering for myself rather than sit in a lab reading over everyone else's findings. That's why I took up storm chasing! Having the degree just means I can do it as a profession and not just freelancing. But I did take electrical engineering as a minor, so yeah, tech support isn't a problem."

Irie West has posed:
"Oh yeah! You asked me if I wanted to be on your stream!" Irie says, grinning at Shazam. "Yeah! I'd love to. I don't know what I'd talk about, though. Maybe life with the Titans? Something like that. I could talk about my best friend and board games and how she taught me how to paint minis, or something. We'll figure it out."

She settles back into the inflatable chair to talk with her two companions, showing that behind the hyper and excitable exterior is a fairly smart young woman. Oh. And she gorges herself on ice cream. The End.
