Divine has posed:
Clones love ice cream! Divine does, in any case. It's a documented fact that she has a bit of a sweet tooth, and so does her Spidery girlfriend. Though only one of them has to worry at all about calories and fat content, and it's not the excessively tall woman.

It's a warm, nearly summer day in New York City with the mid June sun beating down in the concrete jungle. The goth clone of Power Girl counters this with shorts, flip flops, a tank top that's working overtime and big, almost bug eye sunglasses. (She probably stole those from Cindy, honestly.) The sunglasses are tilted up on top of her head, nestled in the artfully messy nest of hair as she peruses the menu in the ice cream shop, trying to decide what the hell she wants.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"The Churro sundae is bomb, but so is the Choinkwich if you're feeling like something salty and sweet," comes a voice from behind Divine. Apparently she wasn't the only clone currently in the mood for icecream. Gabby stands behind her a good few heads shorter, but equally dark haired. The scars on her face were mostly hidden behind a pair of pink and teal sunglasses with rainbow mirrored finish. Her own attire was kind of beachy and cool in short cut off jeans, a tanktop, and one of those loose beach kimono style coverups that was decorated with a multitude of flamingos. She didn't have flipflops as she opted for some wedge sandals to get a least a bit of height even if it only brought her up a couple of inches.

"Though, really, you can't go wrong with anything here. It's icecream after all."

Divine has posed:
It's very hard to surprise a Kryptonian. Even half of one. Even so, Divine jumps just a little at the voice behind her, fixated on the menu as she was. She turns a little, looking over her shoulder, her head tilting slightly. "Is that so," she says. "I'm...trying to decide what to get to take home to Cindy. Her preferred ice cream is 'Yes'."

Honestly, whose isn't?

"I'll keep that in mind, though. I think I want the ... Salty Pimp? I think that's what it's called."

This place is weird.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Oh, yeah, that one is pretty good too," Gabby agrees with a quick nod of easy agreement as the Krytponian tries to decide. "Don't think I've met Cindy. Or maybe not with that name," she muses allowing herself a rather amused grin all in all.

"I'm going for the Monday Sundae myself. Haven't tried that one yet and I'm in a choco-nutty kind of mood." Fishing her hand in her pocket she takes out a card she holds up with a little wiggle. "I can cover if you want? I was kind of curious about you to begin with, if you don't mind me prying a bit. Like, are you a clone or one of those 'alternate timeline' folks? I've known a lot of both."

Divine has posed:
Chocolate is always good. Too many decisions! She tilts her head a bit at the offer to pay and smiles slightly. "Only if you let me pay you back next time." Is there going to be a next time? Who knows! Though, in this world the payback has even odds between ice cream and punching something really, really hard.

The question makes her sigh a little. Just a little. "No secrets around here, huh. Not that I, like, hide it. I'm a clone. Hybrid. Human and Kryptonian. From what my mo--What I'm told, it's impossible to clone Kryptonians directly."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Pay back? Heck yeah. More icecream was always good. Gabby allows her grin to grow exponentially flashing her teeth in growing amusement. "Yeah, sorry," she offers with a little duck of her head to peer over the rim of her glasses at Divine directly without that shift in color that sunglasses brought about. "Enhanced senses run in my family so you... Well, you smell a lot like Conner honestly. Only instead of the big guy, the other gal. Okay. I'm not making much sense I think. I meant like," her hands lift to lace fingers together. "Mixed? Yeah."

now that her explanation was gathered properly she explains quickly, "Yeah, I'm a clone, too. Clone of a clone actually, no mother or father here. So. Clone Power!"

With that she steps up to place the icecream orders at the counter offering her card over. The clerk looks between her and Divine, and back again. "Uh. Is your parent here...?"

Gabby's shoulders slump with a sigh. "It's my card. I'm just stupid short."

Divine has posed:
"Smell, huh," the tall woman replies. "I guess Conner and I are fairly similar." Even her augmented senses aren't as nuanced as Gabby's. The finesse absolutely belongs to the much shorter woman and her ... donors.

Regardless, ICE CREAM. Orders delivered. Salty Pimp acquired.

For better conversation, Divine has relocated to A Table. She examines her treat as she asks a question, voice a little hesitant. "So ... How long did it take for your ... template to accept you? Power Girl...took a very long time."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney joins at the table easing into her own seat with her icecream, a spoon, and a handful of napkins. The question earns a faint smile. "Ah, well. I was lucky in a way. My 'template' was already a clone so it was easy to understand my existence. Plus, I had nine sisters other than myself from the same 'batch'," she explains only for her smile to falter just a little. It was old news to her, but still quite unpleasant. "I was the only one to get the mutant factor they were hoping for. We were mostly used as guinea pigs and my sisters died because of it. A few of us escaped, and so it's just me and one remaining sister. Laura though," she muses looking up again. "She was the one we were created after. And SHE is a clone of Wolverine who..."

"Well. Let's just say he's old as heck and tends to forget he has kids over the years so a couple new ones showing up wasn't that big a thing. He's not really very involved in our lives anyway. Laura and I consider ourselves sisters."

"But yeah," she admits looking toward Divine sympathetically. "I totally get what you're going through. Happens to a lot of clones, it seems."

Divine has posed:
"That is ... very different from my experience. The assholes that made me tried to make more, but they turned out ... twisted. Physically. I was the only 'perfect' one," she says. She goes at her ice cream daintily. It's ... almost comical, given her size and how she carries herself. Confident, almost macho, but she eats ice cream like a dainty cat.

"Power Girl ignored me until she couldn't. We met and ... somehow I went from being completely alone to having two sisters and a sort-of mom. I'm still trying to figure out how it all works."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Yeah, like I said, lucky. I wasn't aged any fancy way either though. I actually grew up normal speed so... Maybe that had something to do with it?" Gabby reasons with a little shrug, unsure if that would make a huge difference or not. "I was fifteen when we got out of the labs. That sounds exactly like what Conner went through, though."

A scoop of her own icecream is taken, and while she was small compared to Divine, she just shovels it in like someone who had a very, very large appetite. At least she thinks to swipe her mouth with a napkin before it becomes a huge mess. "I actually had a talk with Supes a few years back about that. About accepting clones like family. I mean. Sure you didn't plan it, but is having *more* family really a bad thing?"

Divine has posed:
"Uh," Divine starts. "I'm only chronologically four. I think. I was accelerated and had information just put in my head." She frowns, despite having picked all of the chocolate dip from her cone. "I wouldn't recommend it."

She shakes her head a bit. "It's not a bad thing. They accept me for who I am and they're great. I'm just not used to it is all. Sure, Miss Frost has been great, but she's my boss, not my family."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Oh, you know Emma, too? Yeah she's pretty good," Gabby has to admit with another grin recalling memories. "The lab I was with probably didn't have that aging up tech I'm guessing. It's nice for the fact that I don't have to guess what memories are real or not, at least. That would be rough."

Grinning over at Divine again she adds, "I'm glad things seem to be working out for you now though."
