Cain Marko has posed:
Cain found a new pizza place. It's called Original Authentic Genuine Famous Roy's. Despite the name, the food was surprisingly good. When he visited there again, he decided to call somebody to join him. Who else would he ask besides Gabby? ...no, seriously. He realized that his circle of people he's just friends with rather than being work buddies or something is pretty small. Hmm. Should he fix that? Eh. Anyway, he set up the meeting with the best badger, and is currently slouched outside the place waiting. The slouching drops him down to a puny six foot eight or so. He's wearing a rather loud hawaiian shirt for some reason, and a pair of equally loud shorts. He also has on a pair of sandals. No socks.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
It doesn't take Gabby too long to arrive with the promise of food. As always she had a rather quick metabolism and enjoyed trying new things. Plus she hadn't really seen Cain in awhile. It would be good to catch up.

The little Honda Trail she rides pulls up to the curb where she parks it quickly, and hops off in a practiced motion. It barely had time to stop before she's already heading for Cain. Her own attire is relaxed, and made for the heat: Shorts, and one of those loose flowy summer shirts over a tanktop. It had flamingos on it. Her shoes though were just slip ons.

"Hey Cain! Been awhile. How's things?" She asks even as she pauses to give him a hug where he sits, not expecting him to stand up. He was already too tall at times.

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain smiles when he spots the itty bitty badger. "Hey Gabby. Things are alright." He leans down to wrap an arm around her in a hug, kissing her atop the head. "How about with you? Things going with your significant other...s?" He turns to open the door, letting out the familiar smell of New York style pizza. There's a number of people inside of course. This is a big town. Though it also has a LOT of pizza places so it's not packed or anything. He leads her to one of the larger tables, one meant for a sizeable group. Settling carefully into the seat, he relaxes. The server comes not long after to offer them menus and take their drink orders. He ends up getting a root beer. Once they're settled in he looks over the menu. He's probably going to get pizza.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Doing well enough," Gabby assures with a grin at the kiss to her head. Following in she waits until he gets settled though she's already bouncing on the balls of her feet enjoying the smells the place had to offer. It SMELLED good, so she's crossing her fingers. Mentally at least.

Slipping into the booth opposite she places her own order for a Coke, and then settles in to read the menu quickly. "Bunny was in a fight at roller derby though. Some idiot came at her with a baseball bat, but she broke his nose. Had to deal with the concussion after. At least she had her helmet on--Would have been a lot worse otherwise."

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain grunts a little at that. "Shoulda broke his knees, too." He decides on what he wants pretty fast, and puts the menu down, focusing on Gabb. "Other than that, been up to much? I've just been working myself. Nothing interesting." The server returns with their drinks and he sips his soda, draining half the glass in one go. It really did smell good in there. The pizza people were eating at other tables at least LOOKED good. Just the right amount of greasy.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney sips on her own soda though a bit daintier. She does think to call out to the waitress, "Just bring a pitcher of each for us, it'll save time." Really it would. Mostly. She goes for a traditional pepperoni with some extra cheese herself because that was the standard for trying any new pizza place.

"Been kind of all over the place it feels like. Caught up with some old friends, dealing with a necromancer, got a new vamp we're trying to get ahold of..."

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain orders an extra large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, olives, and extra cheese. He can almost taste that red sauce already. He'd already eaten here once before so he knew it was good enough. A brow raises at the description of her recent events. "Necromancer? Vampire? Gonna have to join you in that. Never seen those before." He nudges her foot under the table with his own much, much bigger one. "We should get together more in general." He really hasn't seen her enough lately. She is his favorite pocket-sized person after all.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney feels the nudge which only earns a small smile as she ducks her head in a nod of agreement. "Yeah. It's been really busy lately. I feel like my attention is split all over. But," she has to agree with a chuckle, "I'm sure we could use help with the necromancer. This is the second time he's popped up--And he's not sticking just to magic," she admits with a thoughtful frown. "He set explosive charges to bring down the building we were in."

Cain Marko has posed:
"Hmmm." Cain thinks about that for a time. "Yeah. Call me next time you're gonna deal with him. If I'm in town I'll help out." He continues thinking for a time. "Necromancers are like... death mages, right? Animate bodies and stuff? So have you been fighting zombies or somethin?" Wait, has he fought zombies before? Or is he remembering some movie? So much weird crap happens it's hard to keep track sometimes.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"A bit of that, a bit of... They can jump from bodies themselves to extend their lives," Gabby explains with a solemn nod. "Which is how he's managed to escape both times already. Just ditches the body he was in and goes to find another." There's a long pause before she looks across the table at Cain again. "Honestly Nettie knows more about it. She's a necromancer, too, but she tries to avoid using that side of magic." A little grin comes then. "But yes, zombies, and he summoned a vamp by accident too. Kind of called a slew of undead things on us through portals."

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain Marko nods his head again. "Sounds like it could be fun." He pauses. "Should maybe bring some gloves or something though. Wouldn't want to get zombie brains all over my hands or anything." And with how much they've talked it shouldn't be nearly long enough for the pizza to be done, but here it comes anyway! A pie set in front of them. He immediately picks up a slice and takes a bite. "Mmm. Cheesy."
