Looking for the best place that money can buy.
Date of Scene: 06 May 2020
Location: Central Business District
Synopsis: After B&E, Thea thinks she may have found a place.. and Kyani agrees.
Cast of Characters: Thea Queen, Kyani Kohanna

Thea Queen has posed:
Mid-afternoon in Starling City. The sky is overcast, rain clouds instead of pollution, though. 'It was a dark and stormy day' probably would be better, but it's not meant to be a spooky play. Nope!

Today, Miss Thea Queen is out and about with the purest of intentions. Real estate shopping without an agent. Granted, that might require a little B&E, but that'd probably be the least of her charges on her already lengthy 'rap sheet'. (Nothing worse than out of control rich girls who are bored)

Dressed for the chill in the wet air, Thea is holding a slightly oversized bag draped over a shoulder, and there is a bounce in her step as she approaches the blocks in the city where things are... less than savory. It's a poorer section here, which, in her eyes, is the //perfect// spot to look at potential clubs!

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani had to make quite a few deliveries in Starling City today, a blur moves through the streets which most people wouldn't notice, but the packages are getting delivered far faster then the people waiting for them could expect. Thea would feel a strong gust pass by her as she walks and if she looks from whence it came, she would only see maybe a streak of silver lightning flicker out.

It wouldn't take long for Kyani to finish and begin to head back but as he does he notices Thea, remembering her in New York he stops and jogs over to where she is, "Hey Thea right?" he asks as he looks at her.

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea's taking in the 'scenery', and once she spies a likely looking building, she takes the glance in all directions; up and down the street and peeking down alleyways to see if she'll be spotted. The *whoosh* of wind gust does take the pretty little rich girl by surprise, and it's a moment taken to staring into the distance at the whisp of silver.

"Uh... huh.."

There's the door, and dropping her bag for a second, Thea pulls out a small tool bag, and from within there, some silver colored, well, delicate looking tools. She sets to the lock, and with a *click*, the deadbolt opens first, then the door.

'Hey, Thea, right?'

Thea jumps and turns around, eyes wide for that brief moment, before she smiles a little awkwardly, shoving the picks into her pockets. "Hey.. um.. hi." Beat. "Yeah." She's digging into her brain as to where she'd seen the young man before, and then suddenly, "Oh.. yeah. Wendy's. You're..." and she's fishing, but at least she remembered?

Thumbing back behind her, the awkward smile rises again, "I'm, uh.. just taking a look. Wanna come?" She really doesn't want to be outside any longer than she needs to.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani looks to the door and back to Thea, "My name is Kyani." he says to her. "Yeah that's where we met. he smiles to her. When asked if he wanted to come in with her, he nods his head, "Sure, beats being out here." he says as he looks up at the cloudy sky, "Hell it's probably going to rain here shortly." he shurgs. He walks over to the door and opens it, "After you."

After Thea goes in, he will follow her in. He didn't see that she picked the lock, so figuring she knows the place, Kyani will follow in behind her, not knowing they are breaking and entering. "So what's been going on?" he asks.

Thea Queen has posed:
"Right, Kyani. Sorry.. was a rough day that day. Never made it to the club. Ended up going home with a headache."

Thea slides past, and doesn't truly breathe again until after the door is shut. Inside, it's dark, dusty.. and expansive. Large steel posts hold up the open 2nd floor, and it looks like it had been used as a machine-shop, after a fashion. Large metal fastenings are dug and secured in the concrete while the second floor is mostly a loft-type layout with cast iron steps leading up. Dust, dirt, debris is everywhere, only accentuated by the now opaque industrial windows that line the second floor.

"Huh.." Thea takes the first steps away from the door, her eyes lifted as she walks around. "Okay, very cool..."

Spinning around, the youngest Queen looks to her companion, "What'cha think?"

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani looks around the place himself, he sees the dust and debris. The place looks high end and honeslty he doesn't know much about fancy stuff at all. "It looks tight." he says to her. "It's all good, today has been pretty busy for me as well." Kyani moves past Thea and continues looking around, "Do you know who owns this place or you getting a private viewing?" he asks simply not really caring if she is or not.

From what he can see, this place has been closed for some time, and now the two of them are here. He begins to make his way over to the steps leading up to the second floor to take a look up there. From what he can tell, it looks really nice so far.

Thea Queen has posed:
"I'm looking for grunge. That'll pack the house. Raves.. you know." It's offhand, and just a little distracted as she looks past Kyani. There's a little bit of movement, and seeing that, Thea takes the distance to one set of stairs with a little more speed.

Rats.

"Great.. watch your step."

Changing tack, Thea manages to get that smile back up and shrug with a single shoulder in that 'eh' gesture. "Not a clue. But if I like it, I'm sure I'll find out who and they'll take my offer." Not a word on that whole B&E...

Hefting up her bag back fully on her shoulder, Thea does take one set of stairs. "Good line of sight. Bet the accoustics are amazing in here.."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Quirking a brow up, he does know what grunge is, Kyani is moving slowly around the second floor taking in what he is seeing. He slowly makes his way back over to where Thea is, "So you're looking to buy this place, dat's pretty cool. "I'm good at watching my step, no worries." he smiles to her.

"There is a good sight line, from this floor. Easy to keep an eye on people, if you have camera's, there are a few places along the corners you can set them up at to hit almost every part of this place, to keep it protected."

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea moves a piece of hair to tuck it behind an ear before she looks out approvingly across the expansive downstairs from her vantage point on that second floor. Sight picture is important... more important that most people can imagine.

"Perfect. Now, all I have to do is show this to my brother, hunt down the owner, and..." Hunt... chances are good that the place isn't owned by an upstanding citizen of the City. "Give him an offer he can't refuse."

It doesn't sound so ominous coming from the petite Thea.

"Cameras... one there.." She points into the corners, and starts to make her way down again, eyes cast up to look at likely looking spots. "There.. over there.. that should give pretty good coverage." Glancing back to Kyani, Thea offers a bright smile. "I think this might work."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani grins and nods his head, "Well it looks like you have all that you need." he states. "I would..." he pauses and waits for Thea to not be lookig at him, in that split second he is gone and back, though he makes it look like he's walking from the opposite direction. "I would have something at the back entrance so that if there is a fire or something you can get out. I did go back there and the door sticks pretty bad." he tells her.

"Cameras are always good, just make sure you don't have the wrong people around is all Thea." he turns and glances at her. "Dancing down there, and chillin up here, a nice bar and grille up here." he says as he looks over at her.

Thea Queen has posed:
"Oh, I want all the wrong people around.." Thea returns with no little humor. "Where's the fun if there isn't?"

It registers on her that he'd been there.. and he checked on the door? "What? Okay..." she begins slowly. "I'll have that checked." The words come out in a halting string, but soon enough, she's back to herself.

Pushing off the rail, the youngest Queen turns to make her way back down the stairs. She isn't going to check the door. Not now, anyway. She's got other things to do; like talk her brother into the place. It's not in a good location, and while it has potential, there is going to be some work to be put into it. And then there's the hiring of staff.

"That's the plan. Well, and offices on that other side. Have to have somewhere to work the books." Thea gestures as she moves towards the door. "I think I've seen enough. You?"

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani walks down behind Thea, quirking a brow up at her, "That's true, they can be some of the funner people to be around, just depends on which groups and such." he says. He doesn't think she knows what he meant but Kyani would check this place out, "Hey, if you are able to get this place, let me know when it opens, I would like to see what you do with it." he says. "I can give you my number." If Thea takes out her phone, he will give her his number and he will take one more look around and as he does he could picture where the offices could be. "I can't wait to see what you do." he says and he walks out. There are no cops, the street is pretty bare, "I need to get back to NY, I will check you out later." he says once they both are outside. He will close the door and begin to walk away, "Take it easy Thea." and before she can turn and look in his direction Kyani is gone.
