Profile
Kyani is a laid back guy who enjoys a thrill and really enjoys using his powers. Kyani is a hard worker and enjoys his job as a messenger, he makes a lot of money doing so. Kids play a big role in his life, he sees that they need people to believe in them and because he had that, it drives him to help them just as much as he help others.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1998: Kyani was born in the New Jersey General Hospital. His Mother is Sierra Kohana (Renowned Scientist) and his father is Tobias Kohana (High-Powered Lawyer). After the birth and a week in the hospital Kyani was put up as a ward of the city.
* 2014: Kyani grew up not knowing his real parents and the city just stated he was given up. His parents named him. At the age of 16yrs old he was involved in a theft, he was caught at stealing from Game Stop at a local mall. Mr. Jones the head of the place Kyani was staying he knew this would do Kyani some good.
* 2015: Having been let out as Kyani was a minor and this was a first offense. He was released from juvie. He did learn some valuable life lessons, during his time there, he understood he didn't want to be here again. Also he met a lot of people who were like him who was just needing a family.
* 2016: Kyani graduates from high school, he did flunk so he was held behind, but he did graduate.
* 2017: It takes Kyani some time but he is able to land a job in New York. He had some savings from other jobs he prior to landing this new job as apart of the Janitorial Aid of a large Pharmaceutical company.
* 2018: Having been working at his job for a year now and having a good chunk of savings put up. But it was a dark and stormy summer night, Dion saw an elderly woman having problems getting groceries into her car. He went out in the rain and helped her, but on his way back into the building, he stepped into a puddle and at that precise same time, he was struck by lightning and pretty much rooted him to that point. A scientist saw what happened and rushed out to get Kyani and injected him with some chemicals which stablized him.
* 2019: Having been in a coma for a year, Kyani comes out of the coma to find that he has abilities that he doesn't understand.
* 2020: For the past year, Kyani has been exploring things on his own, but he's quit his job at the Pharmaceutical company and took on the job as messenger.

Personality
Daredevil:
Kyani has a adventurous streak in him, well before gaining his powers, he loves parkour. Running, jumping, flipping around and through the city. He loves to try new things, and now with power it's been heightened. So when he gets bored or just have some free time to himself, he will go out and see what he can do.
Goal:
There are a number of things that goes through Kyani's head, but one of the biggest things right now is his powers and what he wants to use them for. Really, all he wants to do is hone his skills, learn from others and help the people of the city. He's seen a lot and doesn't think that the police can be everywhere all at once. So with that, he feels he could help by using his powers to help the city, even if it's just small things, it would be enough.
Goofball:
At heart Kyani loves having fun and making people laugh, he knows when to be serious, but when to have a good time. Being silly is something that comes natural to him and can be at time infectious to others. There are times even when things look dire, he would do something silly just to get others to crack a smile.
Motivation:
This ties in to Responsibility. Honestly no one know why people do bad or evil. Some it's choice, some because they feel that there is no other way. Kyani's reasons for helping people is because he's seen a better way to live. No one should be bullied or threatened, and because of this, it drives him to do what he can to help others.
Responsibility:
With his powers, Kyani sees it as a way for him to be able to help others who feel as if there is no one able to help them. He knows there are people out there that would use what he has for bad purposes so, he will do what he can to make a difference within the city.

Powers
Heightened Perception:
Another stunt which allows him to be able hear, see and sense while running at high speeds. With this, he can avoid obstacles in a blink of an eye, hear someone call out to him as well as his taste and senses.
Rapid Healing:
With his link to the Speed Force, his healing allows for minor wounds to heal up in a matter of minutes, major wounds to heal in a matter of days. His healing isn't instantaneous like those of better healing factors, still he is able to heal pretty fast in his own right.
Shock and Stun:
Kyani has learned that he's able to carry the charge of the lightning within the Speed Force. At first he started off just small shocks here and there until he got into a fight and stunned someone. Having learned how to control his abilities, he can either stun someone for a matter of seconds or minutes and maybe longer, but he's not tried that. As far as Shocking, well he can hit someone to deliver a shock strong enough to leave a small burn to severely blasting someone with the strength of a lightning bolt in a strike.
Speed Aura:
This aura helps protect him when he is moving at very high speeds, reducing friction to the point of allowing him to run without causing damage to himself or his clothing, this would also allow him to carry passengers without bringing harm to them as well. When he uses his speed, there is white lightning crackling around him.
Superhuman Endurance:
With having access to the speed force conduit Kyani is able to run for long periods of time and as well as being able to handle fatigue and body stress.
Superhuman Speed:
Speed is something that Kyani fully embodies, capable of moving at speeds far faster then he ever thought. Top speed so far is 1.5 million miles an hour. He has learned how to control most of what he is capable of as well as being capable of running around the world in a mere few minutes. He is able to run on water as well as walls as long as he keeps moving. There are possible other things he can do but he's still learning. Listed below are a few stunts he's also capable of. Unbeknownst to him, he is connected to the Speed Force Conduit which fuels his powers. With having superhuman speeds, things to him seem to move in slow motion, bullets are easily avoided and are able to pulled from mid-air. His agility and awareness are greatly increased, allowing him to react far faster then anyone else. Below are a list of stunts he is capable of.
Skills
Combat:
Kyani has studied martial arts, primarily a bit of kung fu and taekwando, but since learning parkour Kyani has been working on combining them into his own style. Allowing him to be more agile and unpredictable when he is fighting. Using flips and striking at the same time rolling around and jumping away.
Computer:
He isn't a professional, but his skills in computers are growing. He knows how to the basics, but also he's taught himself how to upload videos, create wiki's and is doing basic programming. His skills in this area will grow in time, but it's a start for him.
Parkour:
Kyani has been doing it for the past four years and still going strong. Also known as free running, Kyani knows how to keep in constant motion, utilizing acrobatics, rolls, wall runs and jumping and running. Knowing what to look for such as hand holds, foot holds. Being able to jump and fall safely, but also where to jump and how to jump from high places.
Streetwise:
Growing up in an orphanage, and going to public schooling, there are things you pick up as a kid and use or not use. For Kyani, he learned of the gangs in the area, as well as who were some of the dope dealers and areas that people shouldn't go around. But this also included how to move around the city, shortcuts, and getting to know some fo the locals of the areas.
Technology:
Kyani isn't just good with computers, but he does know how to use smartphones and other handheld devices like iPads, iPhones. He is more adapt at tablets, then he is with phones, his own cellphone is one of the older cellphones. Old but reliable, he does know the ins and outs of tablets, along with being able to figure out how to fix computers, but even he knows when to send things in to get fixed.
Resources
Apartment:
Kyani has a modest apartment and because of his jobs, he's able to live without needing to work harder.
Job:
Kyani doesn't have his job with the pharmaceutical company, but he still has his messenger job which still brings in quite a bit of money for him. They hired him back after he came out of his coma and went for his job. Working there five days a week, he brings in enough money to help him maintain his bills as well as his apartment.
Money:
Kyani has been saving money for years and he doesn't just spend his money all wild and crazy. He does have quite a bit of money and he uses it for his own personal use and paying rent and utilities on his own apartment in New York.
Speed Force:
The Speed Force is what gives those speedsters who managed to somehow gain even a small bit of access to it their powers. Kyani liked explained in his powers, doesn't know that he is fully connected with the Speed Force, but as he grows in his abilities that would later be discovered. The Speed Force grants those connected to it their superhuman speed and abilities.
Weaknesses
Enemies:
Kyani has been using his powers to help with some of the smaller stuff within the city, but that has garnered him a few enemies. Some are gangs, and dope dealers, granted he's not made his face known, using a mask to help disguise him, it's still a bit worrisome when you go to a store and a group of guys from a gang that you just took out a few of their men coming looking around. There has already been a few occasions, he's done this without a mask which at the time he didn't use his speed. But still he has enemies and it will only get worse
High Metabolism:
With being able to run at very high speeds, it does take a toll on the body. In order to keep to be able to move at peak performance, Kyani has to eat over quite a bit of calories over at least 30,000 calories. By not eating that many calories, his performance suffers even just doing mundane running or his parkour is greatly effected. As far as using his powers, they would become greatly decreased, which mean in order for this not to happen he has to eat. If he is in the middle of doing something while using his powers, he will crash. Going for long periods of time without eating the required calories, would push him into a coma just because he needs those calories.
Honorable:
Kyani has seen a lot but honor is something he doesn't know still exist in the world. He will not do anything underhanded to anyone, which leaves him vulnerable. Many things are able to be used against Kyani, including children or anyone really. Kyani knows that others will not fight fair, but it's no excuse for him to do what they do. Which makes it harder for him at times when dealing with those willing to go that extra mile to do harm.
Speed Force:
As cool as it is, Kyani hasn't been able to tap into it, but the Speed Force conduit gives him his powers, which means he's linked to it and if he ever goes fast enough to reach it, he could be taken into it. Something that one shouldn't do unless there is no other alternatives. The Speed Force is a mystery and a very possible danger which if Kyani isn't careful, could be the death of him.
