Kitkat has posed:
It has been some week since which Kitkat was roaming New York. At some point during the first day, she had picked up a dirty blanket, which she started wrapping around her Zweihander, makign it much less conspicious, but still, lugging around the thing wasn't too inconspicious. But without a place to stay, she couldn't just leave it behind. Though the two weeks on the streets of the big town did start to show too: while she did her best to clean herself, dirt clung to some of her clothes, and while water was easily enough availeable, food she could keep down wasn't - though the number of stray dogs did seem to go down in some areas.

But the last meal had been some days ago, and while she was carrying the blade wrapped in the blanket over her shoulder, the eyes of the calico darted restless over the streets of Harlem, while people kept away to a good degree - Something about her seemed to say danger.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi's just coming out of Patsy's, carrying a pizza box that contains one large pepperoni pizza. She's also got a two liter bottle of some soda or another in her backpack, the red cap on the plastic bottle poking out between zippers. She waits at the crosswalk, then crosses the street and heads between two buildings into a 'city park' sort of courtyard that's there.. Sitting herself down on a bench, with the soda bottle and pizza box next to her, she pulls out a paperback novel.

Seems that someone's sitting down to eat and read!

Kitkat has posed:
The feline stops a moment at the greasy smell of pepperoni-salami wafts past, the belly grumbling in response, the head turning to follow the trail left in the air. The mouth opens a little, exposing the sharp teeth as she filters the air over the tongue, almost tasting it, but the nose twitches a moment later, a hearty sneeze following shortly after.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Already reaching down to open the pizza box, Yaretzi looks up and back over her shoulder at the sound of the sneeze, calling out, "Salud!", in response. That's how she spots the cat girl, and her eyes widen.

"Oh my god! You're a real cat-girl!", she says. Her tone and manner are anything but shock and fear -- it's like she's excitely happy to see a 'cat-girl' in person. "... you *are*, aren't you? It's not like cosplay or something?", she asks, getting to her feet after setting down her paperback book -- and leaving the pizza box closed.

"Oh, wow! Is that a real sword?", the girl then asks. "Can I see it?", she continues, then adds, under her breath, "... this is so cool!"

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat blinks as someone actually does pay attention and not just runs like they're a freak - something happening quite too often in this town. If anything... she might wear kiiind of a very tight fursuit? But then again, those usually had more heft to the body and head.

"I'm of the Cat People?" comes the answer at being called a cat-girl, the blanket-wrapped blade still shouldered to balance it's heft. "What do you mean by... Cos play?"

As the sword is mentioned, the eyes narrow, but the heavy object slowly is lowered, resting on the tip as she holds the heft still. "I was told not to show it off by a purtle male cat from Wonderland. People would run or shoot."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"So it's not cosplay?! Really?! COOL!!", is the girl's response. "I'm Yaretzi. What's your name? ... Oh, yeah... probably shouldn't show it around, 'cause people might freak out. Cosplay's short for 'costume play'... people dress up to look like characters they want to portray, is all", she goes on, in a rather rambling train of thought sort of way.

"Whoa! Waitaminit! Does that mean you tail's real?!", she suddenly questions, stepping to the side to look at it. Yeah, if she wasn't the polite sort, she might've reached out to touch it.

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat listens, the ears swiveling a little as the calico furred woman glances over Yaretzi. "Kitkat. That's the name I have. Kitkat. Why would people... play with costumes? Costumes are for theatre, to play people like... Mark Anthony or Caesar or Orann, Ebrok, Yanthon and Belasco. Theater is serious business! It carries culture after all."

The sudden question does make the Cat person lean on their long blade a little, the blanket only shifting so far to expose some of the handle. It's a rather utalitarian shaped one. "Why wouldn't my tail be real?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Well, cosplayers wear fake tails... and sometimes they have some cool battery-powered ones that move around on their own, so that they look more real", Yaretzi says, then points at the exposed blade. "Your sword's showing", she says. "... oh, as for why... cosplay can be kinda fun, especially at a convention or something!" Her tone if cheerful, and she steps back over to sit down on the bench again.

Then, she's going 'chatterbox' again:

"You want some pizza? I got a whole one, 'cause buying by the slice is more expensive. I was just gonna take leftover home, but it's more fun to share. Are you a superhero? I don't think I've seen you on TV or anything. Do you know the Titans? I've had a tour of their place before. You'd fit in great, there!" Yaretzi only stops chattering after picking up a slice of pizza to take a bite.

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat says, "Battery?" Kitkat asks, the face seeming somewhat sceptic as she eyes the girl while re-wrapping the handle. Clearly, she isnt from around there.

"Pizza... is that the greasy smelling meat with all the stuff that's barely edible mixed to it?" Even in the evening light, the teeth structure of the cat is clear: barely any chewing teeth, very well made to eat meat. "I don't think I know any of the Titans. They were... uh... Oceanus, Tethys, Hyperion, Theia, Coeus, Phoebe, Cronus, Rhea and some others I can't quite remember, right? I thought that the Olympians slew them. That is, they did chain one to the mountains for stealing fire... eh... Prometheus.""

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Uhm... I meant the superhero team. They used to be called the 'Teen Titans' before their core members all grew out of the 'teen' part", Yaretzi explains. She also display her slice of pizza, a thin crust with cheese and circular slices of pepperoni. I've got pepperoni on this pizza, but that's all the meat that's on it. It -is- kinda greasy, but it wouldn't really be pizza if it wasn't, I guess...", she goes on, then gets a look at the teeth. "Oh... you probably can't really chew this kinda thing, huh?", she comments, her tone sounding like she feels bad about it.

Kitkat has posed:
"Superhero... team..." Kitkat repeats, the head tilted just a tiny bit, as if the word didn't mean anything ot her, then realigning to eye the pizza. "I can smell the meat, and a lot of stuff that isn't... I mean..."

Very carefully she extends her hand, a claw extending to pick up one of the greasy salami slices to smell at that little slice of cured meat, the nostrils flaring before she sneezes again. "Not just hard to eat, full of something that tickles nasty in the nose..."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Well, I think pizza's awesome... but I can guess you aren't used to eating that kinda thing. You might not even be able to digest it, for all I know!", Yaretzi says. "I guess you just eat -meat-, right?", she questions. After a moment's pause for thought, she suggests, "I guess.... we could get a triple patty hamburger with no dressings. You could pick off any veggies you don't want? ...maybe not even eat the buns?" The girl's clearly quite urbanized, not a hunter of any sort.

Kitkat has posed:
"Normally..." Kitkat offers, her belly once more interjecting with protest. "Hamburger? What's that? I don't know such a... dish. I assume it is one..." Flinching some, the cat sighs, shuddering as she reaches to the gold bracelet on her left hand, rubbing over the many empty sockets without looking before she finds the large opal, the fingertip playing over it a little.

"I have no clue. It does smell like an upset stomach though..." she mutters, pressing down on the gem when a louder car passes nearby. Which might not have been what she wanted, but as she does, there's a flash of light. It's like the body itself is emitting light as some things change, and as the light ebbs away, the fur is gone, the body quite less athletic and... it's a normal human, but that there's a Zweihander in front of her... and a heavy shiver running over her body. "Brrr... What just...

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Whoa! You can change forms like... like... " Yaretzi says as she gets to her feet, then pauses, pursing her lips a bit. "Well, I'm sure there's *some* superheroes to change forms like that...", she finally says, glancing off to one side. "Anyway...! Does this mean you can eat pizza, now?", she wonders aloud.

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat flinches a little as she eyes her wrists and hands, then the arms, down her body - which wasn't apparently what she counted as herself but luckily was dressed in a T-shirt and Jeans, which did look totally normal. "What just... uh... This feels so weird... Where's my fur? And why does my mouth feel so... strange? And everything's so... dull..."

Shuddering again, the head tilts once more, the only two things that really seem to have been constant the color of hair and the general build. "I have no clue what happened..."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"You don't know? You touched the big gem on your braclet thing and then *poof* you weren't a cat-girl anymore", Yaretzi says, then looks thoughtful. "Wait... you didn't know you could do that? Are you from another planet and just got here a little bit ago and don't know how things work?", she asks, blunt and straight to the point. "If you're that new around here, maybe I should take you to the Titans and ask if they'll let you stay with them a little while, at least til you figure things out for youself...? If you wanna ask them for help, that is..."

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat shook her head, trying to lift the blanket wrapped sword and flinching some as what had seemed easy earlier was now clearly not as much. "This is for sure not... convenient. Maybe it does allow swallowing that 'Pizza' you mentioned but in some things inconvenient."

"I'm from the Lands Within." Kitkat answers, as if that would answer everything. "I still don't know these Titans it seems."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Yeah... I think I just realized you're not from around here. I can be kinda dense, sometimes. Sorry", Yaretzi says. She reaches down to lift up the box of pizza, holding it out as if offering for Kitkat to have some. "If you don't like it, I get it. It's probably way different than you're used to", she adds. "We can take the hyperloop train down to the Tower, and see if they'll let you stay there til you figure things out, maybe? I wish I really knew someone who could take you there..."

Kitkat has posed:
"I might... as well try this pizza thing..." Kitkat offers, reaching to try it. "If I get upset stomach... at least it's full for the moment and I know what to avoid later..."
