Mark Grayson has posed:
The skies above Manhattan are a usually busy place. Commercial and private aircraft, traffic and tour helicopters and the occassional superhero crowd the airspace to the bealeagurment of the tireless air traffic controllers that direct the aircraft on their appointed rounds.

A tour helicopter, ladened with a small group of tourists are passing over the 9/11 memorial site as the pilot announces, "Up next, if you look to your right, you can see the USS Intrepid museum. We will pass over that on our way to Liberty Island!" There's oohs and aahs, and people taking photographs.

A second helicopter, from a local television station is on it's way in a rush to cover a possible supervillain bank robbery! The pilot is hyper-focused to get the camera crew and reporter on scene, so when he cuts across a building, he's surprised by the sudden appearance of the tour helicopter. "Oh crap!" he cries out, yanking on the yolk to try to avoid the other helicopter!

He's not successful as his tail rotor is clipped by the tour helicopter's main rotor. Both helicopters break in mid air, the traffic helicopter spinning out of control as the tour helicopter starts on a steep dive!

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Sometimes there was lots to deal with, sometimes it was too much, but when the world had so many problems? Well...sometimes there was just enough people to answer the call. Either that, or someone was -super- lucky today.

Sunny had a day off, she wasn't working, she wasn't studying, she'd simply traveled to indulge in the idea of being a tourist...but it seemed that time off her day job didn't translate to time off her 'extra-curricular activities'.

One moment, the girl in the jacket and jeans was at the back of the tour group, the next? Well...Sunny was glad she'd worn one of the 'short and simple under-clothes' options of her costume as Indestructibelle took to the sky.

Mark Grayson has posed:
As both of the helicopters spin out of control from the sky, there are panicked screams and prayers placed. Just as the news helicopter was about to crash into one of the skyscrapers, there's a streak of blue and yellow suddenly interjects!

Invincible braces against the helicopter, straining to hold it's tail to keep it steady. "I got you! I got you!" he calls out as he grits his teeth, trying to break the out of control spin into something more stable as he brings the helicopter down, setting the news crew at safety. "Everyone alright?" comes the question from the superhero.

"We're good, but there was a second helicopter!" the pilot calls out.

His goggles go wide with his eyes as Invincible turns to look around, spying the tour helicopter. And he realizes even if he goes full speed, he won't reach it in time. But he'll try as he starts to fly towards it.

The tour helicopter continues to plummet, heading further away from Invincible and towards the East River, trailing smoke behind him.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Compared to guiding down a plane (with help), a helicoptor was almost reassuringly light...but that didn't mean it was -fun- As the streak of white and blonde zips through the sky, a rush of motion and a face uncovered of the blonde girl whose hands come to the plummeting helicoptor.

There's a crunch, steel hitting the unyielding before the wild decent starts to slow into a gentle 'touchdown' as she braced and bore the weight on her back.

"Whew..."

Mark Grayson has posed:
There are several loud gasps as the helicopter collides with the blonde's back, fear turning into relief as they realized they are saves as Sunny guides them to the ground. The helicoter touches down, giving her the chance to get out from under it and make her appearance. And after several moments, when the pilots get the helicopter shut down, there's a caphony of cheers as the blonde heroine is celebrated for saving them.

The doors open and the passengers start to come out, several asking to take pictures with Sunny, and one little girl bravely presenting her autograph book to the young woman that saved her.

Several seconds later, there's a voice above the crowd, a figure in blue and yellow glancing down at the blonde and white heroine. "Thanks for the assist!" he calls out. "I set the other helicopter over there." He gestures over his shoulder towards the nearby building. "Everyone alright?" comes the question, his eyes settling on the blonde.

"Are you another Kryptonian? I've been meeting a lot of them lately!"

Sunny Harlow has posed:
This outfit? It didn't have the cape, something about capes always made people more relaxed, like it was a reminder of some of the greatest heroes. She -had- a cape, it was just still in the bag that she hadn't quite managed to unpack.

Slowly, gently, the helicoptor was set down and Sunny was busy moving people out and getting them clear. After all, these things tended to explode in the movies...one couldn't be sure.

The voice calling out as the crowd dispersed and the young heroine flashed her best smile, that had her looking upwards and offering one last thanks in her disposition that fit her namesake so well before she was elevated up towards Mark with a shake of her head.

"Like Supergirl? Not quite. Kinda like a...cousin to the species."

Mark Grayson has posed:
Mark watches her rise up and he offers his own little wave to the on-lookers as he turns his attention to the newcomer and chuckles. "Ah. My fault for assuming. I'm not a cousin of the species - my father came from a whole other galaxy." he explains when she arrives.

He offers his hand to Sunny, relaxed as can be as he floats in the sky. She just saved a helicopter full of people. He doesn't suspect that she would sucker punch him. He might be a bit far too trusting. But not misplaced, hopefully. "I'm..." then he stops. Pauses.

And tries again. "My name's Invincible. What's yours?"

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Oh huh, another alien kid! Wild how they all look human...well, most of them anyway. His name, it makes her blink, tilting her head to the side with a laugh. "Indestructibelle, or just 'Belle' for short. And to be fair I just -think- we're kinda cousins? I mean, I was kinda a...dropped on the doorstep baby. Space adoption is a thing I guess."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Oh?" Mark lifts his brows in a brief moment of confusion. "Like dropping off a baby at a fire station." he finally decides as he settles his arms to his sides. "Yeah, no drop off here. My dad was... is a Viltrumite, my mom is human." He rolls his shoulders in a shrug as he grins.

He doesn't have a problem telling an alien that he's an alien or half-alien.

Noone besides his dad seems to know what Viltrum is, anyway.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Whatever she'd expected, that wasn't it. The blonde girl actually gives a doubletake, her eyes going wide before she crosses her arms. "A Viltrimite? Like Omni-man? Like -me-?! How?"

Perhaps in that moment he'd notice it: the subtle nod's to his own father's outfit in her costume.

"I've never actually...met another one before."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Wait. What?" Mark responds, confusion spreading on his face like wildfire. "Yeah. Omni-Man is my..." he stops himself. Omni-Man is just Nolan now. Powerless. It may not be best to admit that to the young woman, he jsut met!

"We're related." he leaves it at that, though he does notice the slightly subtle nod. Though, his uniform, by the same tailor, features that same single letter identification.

He starts to come around slowly, "You're a Viltrumite, too? I mean, I was told that Vilturm was so far away that my chances of ever meeting one were nil! I mean, there are so many other alien races here... but to meet another Viltrumite is just... just..."

"Wow." he manages finally. "So so cool to meet you, Belle!"

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"He's still around?!" Seems Sunny, like most, had no idea on the ultimate fate of the man, if he still lived after he disappeared. She only knew the story, the legend, the icon that he'd been. "Wow..."

His comment, that brings a little frown to her lips, a tilt of her head. "I...never met my parents or lived anywhere but Earth. From what I understand, I was just left behind in the care of my...well, mom and dad. A refugee of sorts maybe? It was only that my biological mother introduced herself as 'The Viltrimite' that I even knew what I was."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"There was no explanation as to why?" Mark asks in utter confusion. What if Sunny was supposed to have been left in the care of Omni-Man and had been his adopted sister? He can't assume on that, though. "He's still around. Just doesn't hero much anymore. There's so many other heroes around now!" There's a chuckle at that as he floats a little closer.

He sets his hand on Sunny's shoulder for a moment and gives it a reassuring squeeze. "Regardless, your adopted parents apparently raised you the right way and you really helped out today. I'm sure that they'd be proud of you." After all, Omni-Man had said that he came to Earth to make it a better place to live.
