Cast of Characters: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark

Pepper Potts has posed:
Evening at Stark Industries, and as it is a weekday, there is something of a fair bit of complement of employees in the lower floors still hard at work. People come and go downstairs, food deliveries via any of the major services is stopped at the front desk, and the elevator seems always in service.

Thankfully Ms Pepper Potts doesn't have to go through the 'main' way. She's got access to the garage, and she's driven in, and takes the elevator up from there. After all, no one would recognize the woman as Pepper; black hair is pulled into a messy bun in the back, her perfectly tailored pin stripe dress suit smells slightly of cigarette, and the wide-brimmed hat is flung across to a chair. Not to mention those green eyes are currently a deep, rich brown, thanks to contacts.

The cleaning bots are in distress; the *whirrrring* and *beeping* that is being done as they follow in the woman's wake is enough to wake the dead. Thankfully HOMER knows exactly who she is!

Taking the suit jacket off, Pepper holds it away from her in a few fingers, waiting for one of the cleaner 'bots to take it. "Please. Just.. burn it."

Another robot wheels helpfully up and brandishes a rather large and ugly looking lighter, and before it can be lit, Pepper is on top of it-

"No! Not here. Take it.. outside. Down the 'chute.. or.. no. Never mind. Let me have it."

Tony Stark has posed:
A whoosh of flame passes in front of Pepper that smacks into the dress, incinerating it before it can hit the ground, assuming that Pepper releases the fiery attire.

A glance reveals a somewhat confused Tony, standing in a pair of running pants and a tank top, with a single gauntlet of iron in his hand.

"New look was almost your last look," he says, cocking half a grin. "Special occassion?"

Pepper Potts has posed:
If there was any question as to whether or not it was Pepper, the high pitched *yelp* when the item disintegrates in her hand, or rather, is incinerated by the time it hit the floor. Her reactions are getting better! (Thanks to Happy and her training sessions...) She's standing there with a cream colored camisole and form-fitting slip, the heels having been put aside at the door where she usually sets them. Her hand moves to her heart as if willing it to slow down to something a little less.. frenetic, and she finally remembers that she has to breathe.

"Oh good god, Tony.." her voice is breathless, "Where did you come from? I didn't see you..."

The grin is finally given a tight-lipped smile and she shakes her head. "Don't.. don't do that to me again." Add that to the list? 'Don't incinerate something that I'm holding!'.

Finally, she also finds her knees and starts a cross towards the bar and some water to wash her hands and take out the contacts. "Yes, and no. I went out with Janet."

Tony Stark has posed:
"I live here." Tony narrows his eyes. "Which you would /know/ if you did too." He lifts up his hand, training it on her. "Are you a Skrull? What have you done with my Pepper?"

It almost sounds convincing. Almost. It might be more so if he didn't take a break from looking at her menacingly to check out her legs as she starts to walk towards the bar.

"You let Janet talk you into /anything/, don't you?"

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper stops behind the bar, and as Tony begins to quiz her, her lips press together again, her her head dipping, her manner and mien all stating, 'are you done yet?'. When it comes to it's end, she's actually chuckling as the checking out of her legs (as if if that'd be the one thing that would differentiate her from a Skrull?) is noticed. She's smiling, even as she begins to remove the contacts oh so very carefully.

Once out and in a glass with some water, Pepper exhales in a soft breath, "She's actually doing me... us a favor. There's word that some of SI's tech is being used to augment weapons, and it's being sold in an upcoming auction. Janet used one of her," and Pepper frowns at this, but continues, "contacts to get us a seat there. And, obviously, I couldn't go as me, me. Just.. another me." Did the outfit work? She wasn't pegged as the high profile Pepper Potts!

Tony Stark has posed:
At that, Tony rolls his eyes. "You really think dying your hair and wearing contacts, no one is going to recognize you, particularly asking about Stark stuff?"

He makes his way over towards the bar, frowning. "That's risky, Pep. And that's a flimsy disguise. I mean, you think if Steve threw on a baseball cap and walked around, no one would recognize Captain America, or if Superman put on a pair of glasses they would suddenly think he is just some nerd?"

Tony grabs an apple and takes a bite, shaking his head. "Next thing you know, you'll me that that green guy who works with the Justice League tosses on a trenchcoat and fights crime as 'John Jones, detective'" he says, making air quotes and a face as he does it.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper's shoulders go back a little, and brows rise. "No one did. And I should have thought about glasses. Instead, I went with a hat with a little bit of lace."

She does relent a little and shakes her head. "I couldn't let it rest. And, I don't know where it came from. I don't even know if it was a plan currently under research in R&D or if it was something that we tossed aside. I don't know what it is, and someone I hire? It wouldn't help."

Pepper leans against the bar, her hand laying atop, offering it to him. "I know you wouldn't have been able to." The smile returns in the form of a smirk, "Mr Household name and GQ face."

Tony Stark has posed:
There is a twinkle in Tony's eye, as all of the actual important corporate stuff goes through his ears. He knows Pepper has it under control. That's what she does.

"That sounds like a challenge to me." Tony smacks his palm flag on the table. "Next week. You and me, we go to the West Side Fest, and we'll see who can go the longest without being recognized."

Nothing gets Tony Stark revved up more than a challenge...
