Shuri has posed:
New York City courthouse #2 has been busy today with hearings and other police matters. Some specific (supposed) mafia criminals have been indicted thanks to local superheroes and their hearing at midday has been crowded with both sides going after each other. The list of charges was a long one, and the mafias lawyers always drag these things out. Shuri herself has been in attendance, maybe having some interest in seeing these mafia types get put away, after a trial of course. She seems impatient with the proceedings, and walks outside to get some air, when the commottion starts.

Some of the criminals push and shove people as they come outside. As an officer steps in to settle the situation, one of the three men decks him, and the trio of (supposed) criminals pull guns and hold everyone back, "Okay, everybody step back!" they tell everyone, including Shuri and her friends. The trio of men walk down the steps toward the cars, "We'll take one of these guys for a ride," they suggest.

Kitkat has posed:
For *some* reason, there also was a calico furred Cat people in the courthouse. Not because they were indicted, even though the mafia lawyer might want that. When the thing happened that lead to the charges that were read to the mafiosi that were dragged into court today, No, she was there because one of the people that arrested the mafiosi had asked her to appear so she could make a statement. Well, she did cost one of the mafiosi their head, and... at least she would need to have it on the record that the guy shot first, and to ensure that the other mafiosi were charged.

Though, as she exits the grand jury she had just told about the happenings of that night to retrieve her tiny belongings from the court entry, commotion started... With a jailbreak?!

Shuri has posed:
The trio of men hurry down the steps past the furry attendants, and point their guns at the nearest driver. Meanwhile, Shuri frowns deeply as the men start a getaway, and she doesn't immediately clobber them over the head or slash them up, "Be careful Princess," her guard says in regards to the danger. "We have to stop them from leaving," Shuri says and eyes the car below.

The three men are pretty well-dressed and must have stashed guns to avoid the police. The police themselves come out the courthouse, "Stop!" they yell. The trio get in the car they are hijacking.

Kitkat has posed:
Smelling the gunpowder, Kitkat hisses a moment. The last meeting with that had hurt. But then she hurries towards the door, along to the policemen that try to yell at the car where the hoodlooms are doing their best getaway. She's fast, and pretty... easy to spot, because well, how many cats walk on two lefs and have the size of a human? Well, only one thing: she got no time to retrieve her sword, so... she is dashing down the stairs without weaponry.

Shuri has posed:
"Stay here!" Shuri tells her friend and a shimmering armor coats her body, suddenly appearing like a second skin. She bounds down the stairs much like the cat people! Common ancestors maybe?

"Back this thing up, idiot!" one of the mafia men yells. The driver begins to back out of the parking space and one of the three men rolls down the window to point his gun up at the people. He seems nervous the cats and the panther are running down the stairs toward the car. He fires the gun at them!

Kitkat has posed:
With the mafiosi in the car and starting to speed away, Kitkat speeds up, trying her best to catch up, fingernails extending. The bullet wizzes right past her left ear, the head dodging down a little but then she moves into a jump and pounce, arms extended to dig into the top of the car. "Surrender!"

Shuri has posed:
When KitKat pounces on top of the car, the thug turns his gun toward Shuri and she is in the process of leaping at the car too. She tears the gun out of the man's hand just as the car takes off! Shuri hangs on to the open window as she says, "Stop the car!" she tells them. She flips onto the trunk. The car turns the corner onto the street.

Kitkat has posed:
The car taking off results in a horrific shriek as claws are dragged over the rooftop digging into the lacwuer and then the metal when they find purchase. With one gun lost, one guy dryving the calico moves the hands to get to the window Shuri is not hanging out of, needle sharp claws digging through the roof. Then, the left hand comes down to the window, shattering it inside before seeking to yank the passenger behind the driver to the broken window... or through. "I said, you shall surrender!"

Shuri has posed:
Shuri looks up as this cat lady yanks one of the men clear through the window and she realizes that the last man inside still has a gun pointed right at them! At the next opportunity, she uses her momentum to swing inside the backseat through the window and kicks the men into each other with a thud.

"We surrender! We surrender! Don't kill me!" the man yells out in Kitkat's grasp.

"Stop the car, it's okay," Shuri tells the driver, reaching to pat his shoulder reassuredly.

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat grins as she pulls the guy she caught fully through the window, the broken glass leaving some marks as she hauls him to the roof, the hand relocating to the neck so she can easier control him.

"Gooood, and now don't move till the uniformed ones are here to get you back to that court that lacks a court. And don't you dare to try and use that stinky gunthingy again, or you might end like the guy who harmed my arm... One foot shorter."

No, she is totally not joking. Even putting emphasis on the fact she was threatening to self defend to the full extent.

Shuri has posed:
The car stops on the side of the New York street and Shuri gets out of the back, closing the door behind her. She leaves the two inside, while discarding the guns she found on the street. The uniformed men from the courthouse are very close. They're actually not too far from where they started so the sirens can already be heard as the cops come down the street and pull up.

She looks up at the roof, "Good work," she says simply, "Who are you?" she wonders.

The man raises his hands defensively as Kitkat threatens him, "Nah nah! I surrender already!" he says, "Put me down!"

Kitkat has posed:
"Juuuust making sure..." Kitkat hisses back as the car finally stops, slipping off the car but not letting the mafioso go. Only when the cops show up, she hands the man over, a toothy grin on the face.

Once that was handled, she turns to face Shuri, stretching the arm that she had used to hold herself on the car a moment before answering. "Kitkat from the Cat People of the Land Within. And apparently you wear an armor made for my people."

Shuri has posed:
The uniformed police surround the car and start taking the men into custody. Meanwhile, Shuri motions to herself, "It is from Wakanda where I am from," she explains. She motions to something and the armor dissolves away, leaving her in her dress clothes she had on before. She fingers some beads she wears as jewelry. "I am Shuri," she says and smiles then looks at Kitkat's arm, "Are you injured?" she wonders.

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat shakes her head some at the mentioning of Wakanda. "I know of no place that is called that. You must have strong magic to summon your armor without a spell and just a gesture, Shuri from Wakanda."

Herself wearing leather, she eyes her left arm, shaking the head again. "Nothing but the dull feeling of having smashed though that crystal window and the pull at the arm when the thing moved, but I'll live. The wound from a few days ago is healed itself too."

Shuri has posed:
Shuri tilts her head and regards the small injury, then nods to what Kitkat says about it. "We have some advanced technology, not really magic," she reminds Kitkat, "The armor hides out in these beads," she explains, showing the jewelry to her. "My brother is the hero called The Black Panther, and he has the same armor," she adds.

Kitkat has posed:
"It must be magic, just like the people manage to make images of themselves and others appear on small slices of glass and metal with a spell. They even talk through them!" Kitkat counterclaims. Arthur C Clarke was right. (1)

"Black Panther? But you are no Panther. And yet you strive to look like the Tigra, just in black. Tell me, Shuri of Wakanda, Are you worshipping the Tigra?"

-1 - Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Shuri has posed:
Shuri chuckles at Kitkat and pats her on the shoulder, "Come, let's walk," she tells her. She walks with Kitkat back toward the courthouse. She raises her hand and waves to her guard, who is obviously out on the street looking for the Princess cause he's overprotective, "No no, nothing like that. Wakanda has its own sense of spirituality. I guess anything really amazing looks like magic," she explains, "I have been visiting New York and helping the heroes with a few projects," she says, "I still cannot lose my guard..." she mutters.

Kitkat has posed:
"But why do you strive to model your armor after the Tigra? I understand that she is inspiring awe, but is that the reason? But not everything amazing looks like magic. The most amazing thing is magic. Like, your moving glowsphere. That's amazing. Or of course the Tigra." Kitkat inquires, shrugging the idea of the guard being overprotective off. "It's a guard. That's the job, right?"

Shuri has posed:
Shuri mutters at Kitkat's frank reminders, "Yes, that's the job," she says depressingly. "Well, we have different forms of worship in Wakanda. There are actually a group of Gods the people worship. I guess it's just been around a long time," she shrugs, then stops on the street before she ends up catching up with her guard, "The Panther Goddess blesses our fight, and pretty much sponsors the Black Panther."

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat nods slowly. "So you are uplifted by a goddes of panthers? Was she empowered by Ebrok the sorcerer, who made the first Cat People? I wish to learn more... in time."

Shuri has posed:
"Don't worry, I will talk to you more about it later," Shuri chuckles and then straightens up, raising her chin as her guard approaches.

"Princess! Are you alright?" he asks.
Shuri smirks, "Yes, we are fine," she comments.
