Feli-cious getaway!
Date of Scene: 26 October 2023
Location: Abandoned Warehouse
Synopsis: A daring Escape! Cats Talk and connect!
Cast of Characters: Selina Kyle, Kitkat

Selina Kyle has posed:
After breaking out of the pit fight arena, Kitkat meets Catwoman watching from the shadows. A ride is offered and accepted, then Selina leads the way towards a back entrance of the warehouse.

"I've seen you fight so I know you've got skills, but here's the thing. We aren't in a hurry to rush off, because in any minute everyone in the building is going to be looking for us. We'll work our way out, all quiet and stealthy like. Got it? Follow close, and don't let yourself get distracted."

Kitkat has posed:
Waving the wad of cash she had grabbed from the betting guy,* Kitkat frowns a moment as Selina talks about sneaking out, but then shrugs. "I planned to kick some ass and run, but if that works, sure. I tell you more when we're out."

Ducking into the shadows, she starts to stuff the bundle of cash into the cloest thing she to a pocket she has - down into her cleveage.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle glances back over her shoulder, red lips twisting into a wry smile at the cash disposal. To be fair, she's done worse.

"I'm not saying we -couldn't- fight our way out. I'm just offering a more elegant solution." she adds, as they slink around to an exterior door. It's locked, which slows them down for all of 15 seconds. Selina locks it behind them, and then the pair is outside.

"There are a lot of advantages to leaving no trace." She offers, jogging lightly along the alley outside. "If no one knows where you've gone, it's hard to start looking for you."

Kitkat has posed:
"So, we sneak out then." Kitkat whispers, blinking twice to accustom to the light better, bt easily picking up the pace next to Selina.

Dodging around containers and warehouses, they work towards the edge of the container yard."Even better if you cut them off of ever following you easily. But as said, that was a job. Mess up that guys bet and allow the bear to enact a little... revenge against his enforcer. Where to now?"

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle pauses long enough to point. "My bike's hidden over in the next alley." she offers. "So why did you stay so long there? It didn't look to me like you even enjoyed the fighting. You looked... bored."

It's a short distance, and Catwoman pulls a couple sheets of carefully placed cardboard aside. The Ducati is black as the night, and big enough to have a lot of horsepower. She wheels it out and swings a leg over. "Climb on back, and hold on. There's a Maroni safehouse just a few miles away, and the owner is doing 5 to 10 for armed robbery."

Kitkat has posed:
"Because I was paid for it." Kitkat answers, her feet carrying her fast at the side of Selina. As they arrive at the machine, she tilts the head, eying it over slowly before she follows to sit behind her, one arm seeking to hold onto the leather clad human like she'd ride a horse.

"Yep, and he also just lost his face to his enemies. Who in turn might use the chance to drive him out."

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle nods and settles comfortably, pushing the starter button to bring the bike chirping to life. "So did you intend this all along, or was the timing just right? I'm not judging, of course, I just want to understand how you think."

Selina twists the throttle a few times, then eases out the clutch to pull onto the street. Calling back into the wind, she asks. "So who run the fights?"

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat's ears flop at the sudden noise of the machine, the arm pulling tighter as the engine revs up. "Angering the guy? That was planned. And ripping off his betman ust a nice bonus on the way out."

"Someone that was called maggot or something. No wait, Maggia. Also wanted to have me beat the scarab there real good... And if Maconi's guy suffered a loss, all the better!" She answers loudly back against the wind, one arm clinging to the belly, the other stretching out to feel the wind in the fur better.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle doesn't go over the speed limit, mostly because she's in costum and not sure how the PD would react to her passenger. All the same, she gets up enough speed to be exciting, as well as all the zig-zagging through the back streets. Down another alley, then Selina dismounts the bike and leaves it running. "Hang on a sec." she offers. Stepping to a small, single-car garage door she jimmies the lock and slides it up. Back onto the bike again, she eases it inside and shuts off the engine. "Like I said, this place isn't currently in use. C'mon up." She closes the garage door, and there's a narrow set of stairs in the back leading up to an apartment.

Kitkat has posed:
Blinking as the machine is stowed away like 10, 15 minutes later, Kitkat does follow up the stairs, dusting off the arm a little. "You also said this is a safehouse used by the very guy I made lose his enforcer, didn't you? Anyway, I'm Kitkat. Not Killer Kat or whatever they said. And you?"

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle pads lightly up the stairs, her boots apparently soled for stealth. "Most people call me Catwoman when I'm dressed like this." she offers. Pulling the goggles up and then the hood back, her tousled black hair is cut short. Green eyes are large and bright. "And yes, it belongs to one of his goons, so it'll be one of the last places they look."

Once in the apartment, Selina pulls the blinds and turns on a lamp for some low light. "Kitkat, hmm? I'd say that's appropriate. These Italians usually keep a good wine stock, if you're interested."

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat snickers at the suggestion, making sure the door was closed behind her after she entered. "So, we enjoy their stuff for a while while the organizer reams out the guy for losing his temper. Win-Win!"

Chuckling as she eyes the room with the fireplace and old furniture, she moves to pick up a saber that is hanging on the chimney. "Let's see... hey, this is even sharp! Nice! Sure, pour some!"

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle pads into the kitchen, selecting a bottle from the wine rack. "Mmmm, I recommend a nice Merlot after a successful escape." she offers. A little search finds a couple of glasses, then Selina opens the bottle. Splashing some into both glasses, she turns back towards Kitkat.

"So I'm guessing that you probably don't spend a lot of time outside without some sort of disguise. That's definitely not a mask."

Kitkat has posed:
"As long as the wine is nice, I don't care. Better than ale any day." Kitkat mused as she oppened a strap at the leather top to make fingering for the little bonus prize easier without taking it off. Tossing the bundle of cash onto a couch table, the rapier picked from the chimney joins it as Selina returns with glasses.

"Why should I wear a mask? I do spend a fair time outside though." Kitkat muses, raising her right arm with the golden bracelet. "Though I do feel wrong using that huge gem to appear as a human."

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle passes over a glass, her gaze drawn to the bracelet. "Most people don't feel comfortable hiding their true nature, Kitkat." She continues to look at the bracelet as she takes a lingering sip. "The Italians do know their wine."

Moving to the sofa, Selina settles and props her feet up on the coffee table. "So the gem is some sort of magic, then?"

Kitkat has posed:
Taking the glass and settling next to Selina on the sofa, Kitkat nods, taking a big swig from the glass, chuckling some. "This is not bad... well, for the worst: It's cold! How can you not have a nice fur to keep you from freezing?"

"Of course it's magic. I had to liberate it from a tomb so I could go and fix it up. There's many missing, you see?" she says, pointing to the empty sockets.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle toes off her boots, one at a time, then stretches out to enjoy the wine and the conversation. "My suit is insulated, darling, and I can assure you that absolutely -nothing- gets inside it without my permission." She looks over at the bracelet, then. "You ever wonder what the missing gems might do?"

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat stretched the feet, rubbing them over the carpet before she put them onto the couch table, next to the sword and cash. "Oh, they surely must be somewhere in Outworld. I mean, there was a tome talking about the thing being robbed of its gems to appease some mages, so..."

Selina Kyle has posed:
"Outworld? Okay, that's a new one on me." Selina replies. "And we don't have any mages around here, at least not enough for them to have their own club or anything." She looks curiously at her feline companion, then. "So you have your own place, then? Or do you live 'off the grid'? Because if you wanted, nobody's going to be using this place at least until the owner is up for parole in 5."

Kitkat has posed:
Kitkat says, "I know a guy who has a tiger who lets me bunk at his home, I do the cage fights to get the prayer slips that you trade like coins and pay for the meath with them. But own place? Nah. And if the slips are low... well, I fight or I hunt. Rats don't taste well, but are sustenance.""

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle wrinkles her nose at the mention of rats. "Well I am a cat in name only, actually. Like I said, though, it should be safe enough to use this place if you want. And I'll give you my phone number as well, in case you get into trouble." She pauses for a moment, then asks. "Do you have a phone?"

Kitkat has posed:
"Phone... uh... No? I don't think so. Are those the tiny boxe that talk?" Kitkat asked, shrugging some as she leaned back on the sofa. "I do have a hunch that one of the gems is somewhere in town, possibly lot and forgotten... anyway."

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle smirks at the response to the phone question. "Okay, so I'll give you my phone number anyway. Maybe we'll see about getting you a burner phone or something, too." She unzips the black leather enough to reach inside. Catwoman produces a small card that is both curved and warm, handing it to Kitkat. "Don't lose it and don't give it away. This is a private number that I only give out for emergency purposes."

Kitkat has posed:
Taking the card, Kitkat eyes the letters and numbers, trying her best to memorize them, then smelling at the card before putting the card to the cash on the table. "I'll learn it and burn it if I know it, if that helps. And if I manage to figure out the phone thing, maybe then I call." Grinning some, Kitkat takes another swig from the glass.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle chuckles softly at that. "Or at least you'll be able to call me if they manage to arrest you. But ask for Selina Kyle, not Catwoman. Catwoman has a... reputation." Selina leans forward to pick up the wine bottle, topping off Kitkat's glass first and then her own. There's plenty of wine left, as well.
