Feeding Time
Date of Scene: 27 October 2023
Location: Lake - Wayne Estate
Synopsis: Phoebe finds Damian out tending to the animals on the Wayne farm - they are interrupted by Gabby, which leads to Gabby and Damian setting their desires in a relationship.
Cast of Characters: Damian Wayne, Phoebe Beacon, Gabby Kinney

Damian Wayne has posed:
It's no secret that Damian Wayne has a soft spot for animals. He may have more affection for them than many humans (there are exceptions: his immediate family, close friends, a boy he used to date that is his unequivocal best friend, the girl that recently agreed to date him). With that, it is also known that in the morning, before anyone else is awake - and most of the time after being just off of his shift from patrol, Damian would find his way to the barn.

Which is where he is this morning, dressed down in a pair of overalls, a tshirt and knee-high leather boots. And he is busily slopping the animals. Titus, Ace, and Alfred have already all had bowls set up. He hasn't given the Cow his bucket of chow yet. The horses have already been tended to. And currently, Damian is with Goliath. The bat-dragon is feasting on a slab of beef as Damian is setting up a large wash bucket and scrub brush. "Time for the weekly bath!" he intones cheerfully, turning on a hose as he waits for Goliath to finish.

Goliath hears the sound of the water and backs away. "Don't be a baby!" Damian comments with a frown. "It's just water, it's to help you get clean!"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe has her own two to look after, with Idu (who was once decribed as 'An Egyptian statue brought to life', elegant and smart) and Potato (who likewise is more like play-dough and may have two braincells that bounce off one another), and she pokes her head into the barn. Her hair's wrapped today in an orange wrap, with little jack-o-lantern faces on it, and she's in just worn jeans and boots, with a sweater. It looks like she was going to go out incognito.

"Thought I heard you in here." she comments breezily, and she gives a wry smile.

Idu pokes his head in, and makes a disapproving face.

Potato just waggles his tail so hard that he looks like he may have trouble standing, and goes to sit on Damian's foot, looking up adoringly.

OBVLIVIOUS TO THE GIANT RED DRAGON-BAT.

"Would it be easier to fly him to the lake and just soak him through there? Pretty sure I have a non-polluting shampoo that could be used for his fur. It's got texture."

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian points up into the sky. "Never know who's watching." Even if he may very well be sure that the skies over Wayne Manor and its environs are clear of observation devices.

"And it allows me to get in close to work with any matting that may occur on his fur and give it a good check over. Plus it allows me to get pretty hands on - and I think he likes the attention, just wants to be a baby about it." he admits with amusement.

But he turns away from that at the moment, to pay attention to Phoebe. "Was last night weird?" he asks. "Was I wrong to invite Gabby over?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Well. No. Gabby already knew pretty much everyone's secret identities. It's hard to keep an ID around anyone with super smell." Phoebe states in thought, and she hops up onto a bale of straw.

"But yes, it was weird, only because I don't expect to see Gabs in the manor?" Phoebe states, and she gives a small, slow shrug, "at least I didn't walk in on anything overly... familiar I guess." she puts it delicately, her ears and cheeks getting darker as she sets her mouth in a thin line.

"That would have been super awkward and I probably would have willed the ground to open up and swallow me right there." she states, and she gives a small laugh.

"But I apologize. I *should* have just said I'm sorry, backed up, and closed the doors and headed to the library."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"I am not blaming you." Damian comments, apparently Phoebe has given Goliath a stay of execution and the dragon could not be happier for it. "We have not done more than kiss." he admits after a moment's thought. "I have been in other relationships, that is not the problem."

"But as you said, Gabby is a close family friend. I worry that if I do not do well, then it may cause future issue, such as Tim's employment of Gabby as his bodyguard." he explains, before moving to come to sit next to his older sibling.

His hands settle in his lap and he looks down at them in thought. "I like her. And I have liked her for a while. The only reason last night was awkward was that I did not get the chance to find out if her telling the other person that was interested in her had taken the news well, or if there was going to be a problem."

A soft sigh. "I should have focused on that and her needs instead of a possible embarassment of my sister catching me being intimate with her."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
    Phoebe just stares awkwardly.

"Damian, one, unless you develop a weird, magical STD that requires me to fix, none of my business if you two go at it. And trust me--" her voice flattens "I studied under a fake Constantine, but MAN was there a litany of weird things that were discussed in that bar when I was working there."

Phoebe fiddles with her left arm, where the white ink of her binding tattoo was softly glowing.

"Matter of fact, I'm excedingly happy for the two of you. Just... it's not my business what you do with each other as long as it's safe, sane, consensual, and y'know, we're not looking at Bat Babies." Mostly because she doesn't want to discuss her own life behind closed doors.

"And it's all good. Nothing could be more awkward than when I had to ask if Gabby was OK with me and RObbie dating, because I know Robbie hit on her, was dating and lived with her older sister, and for serious, I think half the family has used Gabby for bodyguard duty, because she's awesome and she makes the suit look extra sharp." she states, and she gives a small grin, and she shrugs her shoulders.

"Hate to break it to you, but... we're all like, nineteen. Relationships aren't supposed to be heavy death-like sentences over us.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian gives Phoebe's the deadest eyes that one has ever seen. Flat stare.

"Out of all the family, you are having this conversation with me?" he asks her blankly.

"Out of all of the family that you want to talk to of irresponsibiliies, you ask me?"

"Yes. I am very interested in Gabby. But I am not going to force that on her. Any of that." His anger is just under the surface, his hands clutching into the hay.

"I am not sure if you are trying to tease me or insult me." he admits finally. "I am well aware of my age. I am aware of the complexities of relationships at my age." He's been following Hana and Ren's relationship in Kokoro no Geijutsu Daigaku (Art University of the Heart) for the last five years.

"You are a good sister, but I think you are being a little weird about it. I would like to see her in a dress." he admits.

And he leaves it at that.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"I mean, that can be arranged. The dress I mean. Though usually I don't wear one unless there's a good reason, like bodyguard duty at an event or the Hellfire Club. ... Or it's super cute and I feel like it." The cheery rejoinder is of course Gabby who heard a good chunk of most of that conversation though HOPEFULLY for the two within not the part about Bat Babies and being responsible.

The young woman in question leeans in the door to the barn with a little crinkle of her nose at the smell though it doesn't stop her from smiling. A plate is held up which bears some small arrangement of snacks carefully wrapped in plastic so that it wouldn't get dirty. "I was told you guys might be here and..." Her gaze drops down to the plate with a shrug. "Uh, I guess your butler figured you might want snacks since he had some prepared."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe holds up her hands as Damian grips his in the straw. Anyone else that may be a move to show she means no harm -- but with Phoebe, that could equally be 'I'm expecting an attack'.

"Sorry, you're right, that's not my place." she comments breezily, "It's not like I actually study anything like that in either branches of my education, and what do I know anyway." she states, though she sounds clearly hurt. She looks up as Gabby sticks her head in, and she gives a thin smile, dropping her hands.

"Hey Gabby." she greets the clawed one, but she gets up off her bale, and she dusts her hands off.

"She looks pretty great in dresses, that's mostly how she accompanies me places when I don't want to go alone. Just gonna say. C'mon Idu, c'mon Potato. Let's go."

She taps her thigh, and Idu hops up immediately.

Potato, though, just staaaares at Gabby, eyes goingw ide in adoration, ears drawing back, tail giving 'whap whap whwap whap' whacks against Damian's boots. Is it because she's someone new? Does he share Damian's love for Gabby?

Or is it because she's carrying a snack tray?

Damian Wayne has posed:
One. Two. Three. Damian gives himself a cooldown and as he gets off the bale to go greet Gabby, gives Phoebe a 'love tap' to the arm. "I still respect your opinion." he says, even if he still thinks it may be wrong.

"Hi, Gabby." Damian makes his way over to her, a kiss placed on her cheek warmly. He's well aware that Potato is tagging along. "I suppose that I will have to ask you to accompany to a formal function as my bodyguard." he comments, a small tease to his tone. "Since I clearly cannot ask you on a date that would require such dress."

He holds out his hands to help with the tray. "I did not get the chance to ask you about yesterday's conversation and I was curious." he admits. Because that is what they were discussing the night before.

"And it is time for Goliath's bath. I think Phoebe was trying to give him a reprieve." His hand reaches down to pet Potato before returning to help Gabby.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney can only shrug at the compliment Phoebe gives her. "To be fair you and Tim are usually way better at choosing dresses for me than I am. Though Tim is suuuuper fancy about it," she has to admit. She couldn't even remember the name of that designer for that one dress.

When Damian steps over to greet her she smiles warmly at the kiss to her cheek and can't seem to stop smiling. Even when she reaches down to ruffle Potato's ears. Not that it would stop her from smiling in the first place. "THIS must be the elusive Potato. What a good lil derpy boy you are lookit that smile," she coos out in a baby-talk sort of voice out of habit.

The tray is offered to Damian when he reaches for it giving a small nod of thanks. "Do you need help with Goliath? I mean I'm not really familiar with grooming but I can learn."

After a long pause she also adds, quieter, "You could ask me out on one if you want."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"That's because Tim's friends with Janet van Dyne and I want to throw her off a roof so I purposefully choose designers in direct competition with her." Phoebe states dryly, though clearly her hackles are still raised. Even Idu is looking up with some concern.

And she turns back to Damian.

"You totally can, and should. There's any number of galas in the winter. There's restaurants that your father owns where they don't list the prices on plates and you can get in based on your last name, everyone else has to wait three months. There's arts events, movie premiers, yachting events. Exclusive international club outings. Or you can just do what I do and say 'forget that' and dress up in your tux, get her a twelve thousand dollar dress in an appropriate deep red shimmer and some strappy heels and drive out to get ice cream."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"I would like to go on that type of date with you, Gabby. I also would assume I could ask you to patrol with me and be just as happy." Damian says in an educated guess. "But I would prefer to see you under more personal circumstances?"

He is still parsing that she didn't respond when he suggested he was Gabby's boyfriend.

Phoebe steps in, offering up all of those ideas and for a moment, he may have just imagined how Gabby may look in said dress, if the red in his cheeks that matches the red of said shimmery dress is any tell. "I could..." he considers, and then corrects himself for what he was about to say. "I could use help with Goliath, yes."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Potato, meanwhile, is getting his face recognized. HIs entire body wags like 'YES! I AM POTATO! CHIMKIN SNUGGETS AN SMASHED POTATO FOR LONG! I HAVE TWO BRAINCELLS AND THEY ARE ALWAYS ON OPPOSITE ENDS OF MY SKULL and he goes to sit his eighty pound self on Gabby's feet to stop her from moving, and to commense with the pettings. His tail thumps against her ankle.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"We have done that, too," Gabby agrees while she crouches breifly down to take Potato's face in both her hands to give a good ruffling smoochy face at the dog because this is something Idu would NOT put up with but she's pretty sure Potato will be SO EXCITE by.

She finishes off the pitty kissy loving to stand again with a warm laugh. "I mean... I *do* have some designer dresses left over from dating my first boyfriend but I was a lot younger and not as tall or ..." Let's not give details. "They don't really fit anymore. I should sell them. I'm sure there's somewhere I can."

With the distractions for now dealt with (unfortunately her mind was sometimes like that) she regards Damian a moment to explain, "Josh was upset. He went off on his own to deal with it. I warned his mom so she could try to help him, but for the moment I'm giving him space. We'll have to work together on the team to begin with. I can't really help him get over me by being there." A little shrug is given along with a frown. "Plus he'd probably be more hurt if he found out I have a boyfriend already." Ahem. There. She said it.

And she's stuck in place because POTATO.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Donate them to the Cinderella Project. I'm pretty sure some girl would be THRILLED to have them for a prom gown." Phoebe offers, and then she straightens up a moment.

"This particular Josh wouldn't happen to have golden skin and work for the Jay-El-Dee leadership would he?" she questions, and her eyebrows draw up.

    And then she breaths out.

"Potato, c'mon, let's go. You don't wanna be in the way when Goliath has a bath. You'll get soaked, and then I'll have to give you a bath." she states, and she gives a nod to Dams and Gabs, and turns to leave.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"The Cinderella Project is a worthy cause." Damian agrees with Phoebe on that. "And if it is a concern of monies... I could spoil you or Phoebe can take her friend on a shopping trip." he points out.

The discussion about the Joshua and what he looks like does not go over his head. Instead, he files it away in case he ever needs it in the future.

"Thanks, Phoebe." That is said with sincerity, a smile offered to her before he turns his attention to Goliath after giving Idu and Potato one more affectionate petting. "Good boys. Both of you."

"As for you!" A snack is taken off the tray and he points at Goliath. "You are outnumbered. You will be bathed and fresh-smelling, if only you surrender now!"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Oh! There's a charity for that?" Gabby really wasn't up on her charities. It wasn't as if she ever went to a prom after all. The idea has her nodding in ready agreement with a renewed grin. "Yeah, I'll do that then. Let someone else enjoy them." At least that was an easy choice.

Then Phoebe hits the nail on the head with her guess and for a moment Gabby looks utterly, totally GUILTY. "Y-yeaaaah. Nettie kind of adopted him, and he kind of asked me out and I *tried* but I really don't want to risk something like when my older sister dated and ran off with like, you know, and..." The nonsensical chatter spills out only to end in a huffed sigh. "I should have said no from the beginning."

One more pat is given to Potato and she chuckles. "Later, tater. Bye Idu. And we can catch up more later, Phoebe."

With that she turns toward Damian fully giving a wry grin. "In some way. You guys usually wear clothes outside of my price range, but also because my fashion sense is usually 'comfortable and easy to fight in.'" She reaches out to snag one of the cookies off the tray herself to pop into her mouth while giving Goliath an apologetic shrug.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian considers as he looks over at Gabby. And his cheeks darken anew as she confirms their relationship status. "We do not have to shop exclusive designers or anything. Just a day out together." he chews on his lip. "I would enjoy that as well."

"And just so you know. I..." Well. He doesn't know how to put it, so he turns in as she finishes off her cookie and he presses his lips to hers, rather firmly. He's waited two days to kiss her. He clearly needs to show more initative!

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney allows herself to smile in a more relaxed manner when Phoebe leaves. Not because she was uncomfortable around Phoebe, just... She wasn't really sure how to act *in a relationship with Phoebe's brother* around Phoebe. "That's fair," she has to agree about the mention of going out shopping. "Okay, that wouldn't be bad, we can go shopping--" She begins.

Begins, and doesn't get far on at all when Damian steps in to kiss her. It's her turn to be caught off-guard by the gesture. A little noise escapes, a small squeak of surprise, and she finds herself leaning into the kiss while letting her arms slide around him. One slides around his waist for balance to hold her hand just beneath his ribs. The other lingers at his shoulder with fingers stretching back to tease against his hair at the nape of his neck.

Damian Wayne has posed:
With Gabby taking hold of him, Damian figures out what to do with his own hands, one settling on the side of her ribs, pressing down gently while the other is on her lower back. A soft noise escapes from him as she teases his neck and his hand dips, brushing against the dip of her back and back up again.

After several moments, he breaks the kiss, his nose brushed against hers as he opens his eyes to look at her. "It was worth waiting a year for that." he manages lamely, an upturn of his lips as he waits to see how she responds.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
No doubt Goliath was enjoying his second reprieve from a bath while the two were occupied with one another. Gabby is only vaguely aware of the sound of the animals living in the barn around her while they share the kiss.

When he breaks away she finds herself blinking slowly, red-faced and drawing a few quick breaths. It's his remark that earns a quick laugh unwittingly. "Oh, yeah. So. Guess you're okay with dating then."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Yeah. Totally okay with dating." Damian agrees - and notably, he has not let loose of Gabby yet as he considers his next words. Why not?

"And figuring out if this is the best place to make best of a lost year." A rush of heat into his cheeks, but he's already starting to release her, because he knows exactly how cheesy that sounded.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Probably not the best place. Especially if we want to get Goliath clean," Gabby admits as she takes a step back as well. Maybe some personal space would help them both just a bit. A bit of an amusing grin creeps over her as she moves closer toward the skittish bat dragon to reach up and give him a good petting in greeting. "Good to see you again boy. Sure you don't want some brushes? Bet it'll hit all those itchy spots."

A glance is cast over her shoulder back toward Damian, still grinning. "So I guess we should plan a date out somewhere fancy? Or just a shopping trip?"

Damian Wayne has posed:
"We have time..." Damian admits as he steps away as well, because there's no denying his attraction to her. His hand brushes over hers before he goes to get the brushes ready while Gabby distracts Goliath.

Goliath takes a sniff of Gabby's hand and then presses his face (as much as he can) into her palm, the heat from his nose steaming up her hand. His dark eyes focus in on the young woman, while turning - wary of Damian.

"I suppose we have a lot of dates to plan on." he points out to her. "Do you want to do something that totally says 'we're a couple' date, or would you perfer shopping, where I can get a chance to know you better."

"For the record, while a fan of both, I want to show the world that we're an item. But really, that depends on you. Because it will be a big thing." he admits. "So, if you feel comfortable going public?"

There will be no hiding that the youngest Wayne and heir has a new beau. Even if he tries to plan it to give it the utmost privacy, someone will catch on. Someone will get a picture. And it will be in every teen-geared tabloid website.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"I..." Public declarations? That hasn't really been something Gabby has had to consider before now. Thankfully she's thoroughly distracted by Goliath-nose-in-hand and she gives very gentle scritches just behind that little pudgey ridge of his nose. That must get itchy sometimes, right? Right. Her other hand reaches up to do similar to his fuzzy cheek with arms stretched nearly over her head to do so.

"I think maybe at least a couple of 'just us' dates before we shout it out to the world. Just to make sure?" Gabby reasons with a glance back toward Damian uncertainly. Hopefully he wouldn't get upset about that. "I don't mind if people we know are aware, just not really been much of a public figure myself before. I mean..." Here she can at least give a half-shrug of thought. "At least I have the kind of identity set up of being one of Phoebe's friends from school, and sometimes bodyguard. Gives us a reason to know one another."

Damian Wayne has posed:
There's a nod of Damian's head and a look of actual relief. "Just us is fine." he agrees easily as he considers her words. "I did not want you to think I was going to keep you hidden away. In case history tries to repeat itself." He's been chewing on that for a while, it seems.

Goliath is relying pawsitively to Gabby's attention, she knows exactly where to hit for scratches, and his back leg even starts thumping in agreement.

While that's going on, Damian moves around with the brush, and catching Gabby's eye, gives her a subtle nod. A warning to clear the way, because poor Goliath is about to be betrayed into a bath! Damian's soaped-up brush comes down on Goliath's back to start the cleaning job, and Goliath YELPS before trying to curl up. The bat-dragon clearly does not like baths!

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances up toward Goliath with big, wide eyes that clearly speak of apology to him. "Sorry big guy," she offers just as she moves away quickly. The splash of water onto his back misses her thankfully as Damian starts getting to the scrubbing. They did indeed tag team him, and she promises, "I'll give you lots of regular, non-trick scritches later, and maybe some more fish too okay?"

She does glance over to Damian though with a wry grin. "Is he better with this in the Summer? I wonder if it's just the water is too cold. Maybe he needs a big tub of warm water to soak in." Though she's not sure warm wet bat-dragon would smell any better.

"We can just hit up the Hellfire Club for a steak dinner sometime maybe. Or lunch. I mean, the club is a bit much," she has to admit, "But the steakhouse is pretty darn great."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"In the summer, I'd usually let him wallow in the lake and then hose him off. All it took though was some tabloid suggesting that there was a monster in the lake to put a stop to that. There have been a couple of nights I brought him out to swim." Damian considers that statement and then adds, "I would sometimes swim with him."

With Gabby joining in to help with the scrubbing, Damian chews on his lip as he works the brush up and down. "I will have to look into having a heated tub installed." he agrees. "And at least with shopping, a baseball cap and sunglasses will do wonders for masking my identity so we can walk around freely."

"The steakhouse at the Club would be acceptable as well, and honestly, it would be the best place for us to converse without many interruptions. Though obvious topics would not be discussed." After all, the HFC only sees the Waynes as another well-to-do family with full membership privildges.

"There is also the Manor house. Yes, family may interrupt us, but we can watch movies, play in the game room, use the gym... there is plenty to do. And if I give notice, we would be mostly unbothered?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney doesn't really have a brush to scrub Goliath with but that doesn't stop her from helping. She goes in bare handed to rub in the lather that Damian has already worked over ensuring that the suds get through down to the skin. It leaves her with suds up to her elbows, and some drips down onto the front of her hoodie, but she doesn't seem to mind or care.

"They at least offer anonymity otherwise. No one's really allowed to report on what's going on inside. I've been going off and on since I was younger just because some friends had memberships, and sometimes I bodyguard others as well." A wry grin comes as she adds, "Trying to get money tucked away when I can. I'm not doing bad for my age and education level, I think."

When he describes all the possible activities at the manor she also nods considering what *she* can suggest. "That does sound fun, and I don't mind the manor. There's also stuff like... Well I used to go to roller derby with Bunny. It's kind of fun. Or icecream. Or... Huh." It takes a moment to realize as her eyes narrow thoughtfully. "I think most of our dates usually revolved around food, or Bunny. Tommy and I were both usually working a bunch."

Damian Wayne has posed:
As they are tag-teaming Goliath, the large dragon fuzzy is realizing this is not so bad or as time-consuming then when Damian is washing alone. "I'm aware of the Hellfire Club's rules, but I... and Father do not want to risk any chance of someone becoming aware." he explains. As Goliath turns, he sets the brush aside to work on Goliath's face, this is where he gets wet and messy, his overalls and t-shirt getting soaked through.

It is when Gabby mentions the roller derby that Damian perks. "I am going to cheer on Barbara's team next week at the derby. Next Friday, a bit later. Would you like to be my date?" he asks her, a warm smile offered. "That could be fun?"

"I would not mind focusing on you. I know we will both be busy. But there will be things we can do together when we have those moments. There are things to do in Gotham, but I would be opening to going to Metropolis or New York for the right reasons."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Really? Bunny used to be on a team, and she skates *everywhere*," Gabby explains of her ex-girlfriend with a broad grin. "We ended things on pretty good terms. Just didn't work out, but we still like each other and are friends. I could hit up roller derby with you, sure." At one point SHE used to derby, but that was a long time ago and nothing official. Mostly with Illyana who was a bit too demonically gleeful about bashing people around.

More scrubbing is given to the soaking Goliath, scratching and sudsing him up all over while Damian sees to his face more delicately. "So do you like... Use shammies to dry him off?" That would make sense given it could soak up a lot of water. "I feel like I'm going to need a change of clothes after this."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"I mean, if you want to invite Bunny along..." Not what Damian was aiming for, but he's willing to make concessions. "But since we're discussing exes and such. My last boyfriend was Jon. It was a few months after I fucked things up with you and he was good to me. It's why I have been able to relax more." he explains. "We broke up, but like you, I'm still friends with him. He visits the house now and again."

"Oh, we're done sudsing him up, I was going to hose him off and then let him out to shake it off and fly around to dry. It's dark enough he will not be noticed."

A pause, and he adds. "For a change of clothes, we could go to the house. Unless you're ready to call it a night? I'm sure that there is something there that can fit you. And we can figure out something to do."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Oh, no no! No! I mean. Maybe as a double date thing sometime, but no I didn't mean to invite her along. Just explaining," Gabby assures with a quick laugh at that partiuclar offer. "It's okay, really."

It's the next news that causes her to pause and turn to look with some surprise at Damian. "Jon... Kent?" You never know, she's known quite a few Jon's in her time. That was just the current one she knew. "Wow. That's." Her mouth opens, then shuts, and she just nods a time or two. "Fair," she finally decides to utter rather than anything else that might spring to mind. "He's a good guy." In more than one way.

A looong pause comes as she clears her throat. "Uh, so, do you get along with your brother Jason much?"

Awkward. She steps away so that Goliath can get rinsed off, and reaches up to run a hand over her hair ending up with wet soggy soapy hair. "Oops. Uh. Damn. I mean. It was after we split last time and I was upset and it wasn't ... we didn't *date* or anything... And then he ended up with, er, I mean." Her face scrunches up staring at the ceiling. "Just. To be honest. And not make things too super awkward. I guess. I'm going to shut up."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Yes, Kent. You know him? He's a sweetheart." Damian responds breezily as he starts to adjust the waterhose to prepare to spray down Goliath. And as he's using the hose, spraying down Goliath, who is immediatedly turning into the hose and snapping at the spray of water.

"I see." Damian offers to Gabby, "I'm sorry I forced you into such a desperate situation."

Wait. Was that humor?

A brief flicker of a smile is offered to her and then he draws in his breath before considering. "So. We're together. As far as I see it, the past is just that. So to be honest. We both have had our moments. But we're here and now. And as long as that stands, it is what it is. I don't think I want anything that is an open relationship. If you are okay with that?" he asks, lowering the hose to look into Gabby's eyes and gauge her thoughts.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney lets out a small breath of air she'd held uncertain of his response or reaction. She knew that Tim and he didn't always get along well. Jason she wasn't sure of, and that was... well. A one night stand for sure. The response earns a quick grin and laugh as she feels her tension ease out a bit.

"Thanks. Yeah. I was never in an open relationship," she states with a shake of her head. "Just Bunny and Tommy and I all dated each other. I'm okay with just this. That was... Well it was different. We all liked each other so figured we'd give it a shot with the three of us."

She smiles again at Damian preparing to say something more. However, one of Goliath's nips at the water sends a spray of water in her direction earning a surprised squawk as she gets more drenched.

"Okay, yeah, I think we'll have to find me a change of clothes," she agrees laughing.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"And I'm good with giving a shot with..." Damian walks over to Gabby, his fingers walk up the front of her hoodie and a light kiss on the mouth before whispering in her ear. "...just us."

And pulling away before she can fully react, he opens the barn doors to let Goliath free into the night sky.

But not before he pauses and shakes himself off, causing Damian to try to shield himself, standing on one leg and covers with his arms. "This is the worst part!" he laughs, before the dragon is gone and out into the Gotham skies. "Maybe next time, we can take him for a flight?" he suggests to Gabby.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney isn't surprised by the kiss this time, though she is a bit red-faced by the end of it. A little playful swat is swung at him but he's already moved out of range earning a snort of amusement from her that wasn't very ladylike. It was her though.

Water splattered once more she tips her head up to watch him vanish into the sky with a grin before she turns back toward the equally drenched Damian. "See this is why I figured dry him some first," she remarks with a laugh. "Though it might not matter much with the size he is." The mention of a flight earns a quick nod as well. "When he's dry," she adds grinning.
