Gwen Stacy has posed:
<This follows scene 16195>

A bet had been made during their race towards a threat in the city. One that involved ice cream. A bet that Gwen had lost. Following it there had been a battle against that threat. One for the legends and the bards of old to sing. Of course that these days? It would be filmed vertically by a wanna-be influencer with a clickbait title like:

<YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT GHOST SPIDER AND SILK DO NEXT...>

Yet the battle was finally over. And to the victor goes the spoils. Which meant Silk got to choose her favorite ice cream that Ghost Spider would provide. And what a coincidence that Silk's favorite flavor was one of her dear friend's too. Which meant it didn't take her near as long as it could had for her to find that little shop in Brooklyn where she had gone countless times with Cindy in the past for it..

----

A web is seen slinging over the side of the building where they chose to meet and Ghost Spider arrives with some flair, flipping in the air to land next to Silk, holding up two cups. Because did anyone expect Ghost Spider to watch while Silk ate her ice cream? Nuh-uh! "One Yuzu Blossom Ice Cream coming up."

Cindy Moon has posed:
That wanna-be influencer most likely got a show. Partly because of the fight that was filmed, with shaky camera and all for the long form video formats to be later diced up to 60 second chunks for those with short attention spans. And of course, there had to have been some mugging for the camera, followed by the obligatory saving the not-so-innocent bystander from flying debris. It is a classic for a reason, after all.

And, the ice creem choice just came naturally. Really, it could have been worse. But, the request of Yuzu Blossom ice cream is pretty unique. Fortunately for Silk, it wasn't like it was completely rare. Just...localized. Which probably gave Ghost Spider a couple of clues as to who Silk might really be.

First and foremost, Silk was a local chick. Considering she knew where to go to get the ice cream.

Perched on the building, Silk tosses back an errant lock of raven black hair from her eyes as Ghost Spider lands beside her. "Oh, awesome! You didn't have to get this, you know. I mean, really, I did win and all...and you did say loser buys, but really, you didn't have to get this. We could have went somewhere else." A beat. "It is kinda a weird thing, but I like it."

Gwen Stacy has posed:
The cup of ice cream is held up as if in offering to royalty, even followed by a flourished bow when Silk takes it, "You did deserve it. I just want you to see how it's -done-." a beat, "For when I win next time." that little competitive streak of the Ghost coming out even if she is grinning under her mask.

After the royal offering it is finally time to relax, she plopping down on that ledge, legs dangling. The sun is already on it's way down, perhaps a bit under a couple of hours until sunset, "I don't know ..., I only know -one- other person that likes it." not that it was statistically relevant her nerd side was saying. She doesn't have a large enough sample of subjects! The lower end of her mask is lifted up, leaving her chin and lips visible, spoon dipped into the ice cream.

"I mean, I am just a chocolate girl." she says, just like Gwen is. And now without the voice modulator of the mask? She sorta sounds like her too. She opens her own cup to reveal she added another flavor to the yuzu. Chocolate of course! Just like Gwen always does. "Mmmm, now this is perfection."

Cindy Moon has posed:
"Oh, you know someone else that likes this?" The surprise is clearly evident in Silk's voice. It doesn't seem like she is using a voice modulator at all, as there is nothing really different with the tone. Though, it is only a half mask. Perhaps Silk just isn't that technologically advanced with her ensemble. "I mean, it is kinda of a rare thing. I really don't know of anyone else that really would have bothered trying it, outside of family." A pause. "Well...except for one other person. But I think she just tries it because I like it. Anyways..."

Oh...but now there is a dilemma. How is Silk going to eat ice cream with only a half mask? Really...if she does what Ghost Spider did and raise the lower end, then she might as well just expose her entire face. 'Way to go, Cindy!' is the thought that screams through that pretty head of Silk's.

"Hmm...yeah. Maybe I need to invest in a style change." Awkwardness abounds. Finally, Silk just opts for turning her back to her spider-compatriot, muttering a hurried apology, then quickly sneaks in a bite, pulling the mask down just long enough to facilitate the exchange before returning it quickly. Cindy then rotates back...."Sorry about that."

Hey, wait a minute. Chocolate in the yuzu? That's strangely specific. The recognition of the addition is apparent. And Cindy really only knows one person that does that...

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Ghost Spider knows enough about their outfits and the struggles with masks to respect Silk's choice of turning around so their identity isn't revealed. Not that it spares her from getting a Gwen-shaped back against her own back when they sit back-to-back to eat that ice cream atop that roof. Gwen digs in with gusto, strategic attacks on both the Yuzu and the chocolate in that perfect blend she enjoys.

"Dear me. This is delicious, just as I remembered..." which reminds her she -should- call Cindy again soon so they can visit the place. She pauses to then comment, "I can talk with Janet Van Dyne about the outfit." she tells the other Spider, "She -did- design mine." it's something she never gets tired of telling people. It makes her proud!

And then Gwen gets more eyes than belly when she digs a big spoon to take it between lips. Which she instantly regrets, "Urgh, brain freeze." just like Gwen too, who sometimes doesn't know how to slow down on her ice cream appreciation. There's an art to it after all.

Cindy Moon has posed:
Oh, that's nice. Silk and Ghost Spider, back to back. It allows Cindy to keep the mask down, which, if Gwen were to glance, would see the red fabric dangling on Cindy's neck. Though yes, Cindy keeps her back to Gwen. First rule of spidering was always keep the identity secret. Especially for Cindy

"This is going to be strange, but that friend of mine? The one that tried this yuzu ice cream? She adds chocolate to hers, too." The admission, spoken out loud, gets the gears going for Cindy. Well...with that mask up, Ghostie does sound pretty damn familiar. And Gwen...Gwen does like to chocolate up the asian citris. But could Gwen really be a Spider, too?

Nah. That's impossible. Right?

"Just wait till I tell Gwen there's another one with her same tastes in crazy Korean ice cream."

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"That only means she's got her taste buds in the right place. Mmmhmmmm..." Gwen's brain freeze seems to be over, blessed spider genes recovery! Which means she can resume her eating. But then ..., Silk speaks a name that she really shouldn't know. Or should she? The bite on the ice cream is left mid journey, spoon dangling. And with the two of them with their back to each other it's easy to figure out the tension that comes to her shoulders at that particular name.

It's also enough for a bulb to light up on her brain.

"Cindy?" She ventures the name out. If she's wrong it won't really matter. But what if she is right? She reaches up to undo the rest of her mask, blonde hair tumbling down her shoulders before she starts turning around slowly.

Cindy Moon has posed:
Wait a minute...

As the name Gwen is spoken, Cindy can sense the sudden rigidity that overtakes Ghost Spider's shoulders. Yet, there is no Silk-Sense being triggered. Which...is really weird, considering just how sensitive Cindy's own particular brand of spider sense is. But...if there is no danger and Ghostie is on edge....then...

Is it really Gwen?

And then, it is Cindy's turn for the chills down the spine. The decidedly non-spider sense kind. "Hold the phone! Really?? Gwen?!" Cindy starts her own turn, that half mask of hers dangling around her neck.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Yep, that's Gwen. Down to the same blue eyes, blond hair, surprised expression. And pretty much Cindy's old friend. Small world and all that! She finally takes that dangling spoon between lips because it would just be criminal to be leaving it there.

And then uses the spoon to actually *point* at Cindy when she jumps up to her feet, "Of -all- the people. But I already suspected." she really didn't, "This nose of mine never fails me." she wrinkling it for good measure.

Still, she is baffled, surprised and a whole lot of other things that she can't properly put to words just yet. But oh boy, the questions she was going to have in the times to come.

Oh boy, indeed!

Cindy Moon has posed:
What? What the bleeping what??

Cindy leaps to stand as well, almost in unison with her friend. And her own spoon flicks out as a small scoop of Yuzu Blossom flies off, to splat on the pavement far below. The now-cleanish spoon points directly back to Gwen, with the other hand holding onto Cindy's cup of ice cream tightly. "Holy crap! I...I didn't know at all!"

Well, as least Cindy is being honest.

And, from Cindy's expression, she is definitely a bundle of emotion. Mostly surprised, but a bunch of other things. With the two friends mirroring each other, spoon pointed at spoon, it is suddenly all too clear that the two are a lot alike.

Just..in more ways than they ever imagined.
