Xiomara Rojas has posed:
In today's society texting seemed to be the primary form of communication, including emojis, though Crush still had no clue about the correct meanings regarding emoticons.

A couple of days prior, the Czarnian had sent a text to Sunny asking her to dinner at Tom's Restaurant around seven o'clock, entirely her treat. The reason for the dinner? To talk about possible costume ideas for Crush as her usual attire, although clearly her own punk style, wasn't exactly heroic. Another possible reason, though not listed in the text... a chance to meet Sunny as equals now that Crush knew she was also a heroine.

The Czarnian had arrived early to ensure a table, then waited by the entrance for Sunny to arrive.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Thankfully either Sunny could translate or at least decided to meet to ask for a translation!

Hair up, the girl was dressed pretty comfortably in jeans and an almost obnoxiously bright orange shirt. It was either luck with her complexion or sheer bright attitude that seemed to allow her to pull it of...or not care if she didn't.

Slim jacket thrown around her shoulders, Sunny arrives at the restaurant...and quickly spots Xio with a quick wave.

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
Crush was easy to spot, she stood out among humans like Sunny's shirt. Dressed a little differently than usual, she had replaced the aqua colored half shirt with a full length one tucked into the waist of her dark pink leather pants, and the denim vest was a black leather jacket.

Returning the wave, she waits for Sunny to approach with a broad smile on her face. "Hey there, good to see you," she offered first, then opened the door to the restaurant for Sunny to go in first. "I already made sure we have a table ready, but didn't want you to have to wander in alone."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"Hey there Xio," Sunny offers, a smile as bright as her namesake before she moves closer. Still she makes to step through, her arms coming to cross under her bust as they moved towards the table. "Thank you! It's great to see you again."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
"It's good to see you too," Crush offered as they headed to the table.

Once they reach the table, Crush pulls out the chair for Sunny then moves around to sit herself across from the woman. There is already menus waiting for them, and the waitress arrives to take orders for drinks while they take time to look at the menu. Crush asks for a Coke, then turns her attention to Sunny.

"How have you been since New..." she sort of lets that trail off, just in case Sunny wants to keep herself on the down low regarding hero stuff. "You were really impressive there."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
The grin takes on a momentary flush of embarassment before she waves her hand almost dismissively. "Compared to the others, big and bright as they are? I'm still figuring things out. But you were awesome too!"

One soda of her own ordered later and the blonde tilts her head to the side. "So, you said you wanted to talk about design stuff?" she questions lightly. "It's kinda nice to be able to be honest about my preferred looks now I must admit."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
The sodas are delivered and the waitress moves on, giving the two more time. Crush opens the menu but really doesn't look it over just yet, her attention remains on Sunny.

"I'm brute force, very little brain," she comments with a chuckle. "I mean once I finish college I might have more brain, but right now... I was lost by most of what they were talking about."

Gesturing to herself, she then says, "This is close to what I normally wear. I mean, I never thought myself the costume type, but I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea now... and I remembered you talking about being a designer, so I thought it was a perfect match."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"I mean, it's a good look in itself. Practical, and your skin and everything are already striking enough to be iconic. Without my stuff I'm just...well, some blonde girl. Discount supergirl maybe?"

A little laugh, there was no bitterness to the thought as she sipped her drink through her straw and then considered. "My stuff gets broken all the time, so I need to replace it all the time. All my materials are...home made stuff, not the super fancy high-tech look. Still, I'd be happy to help if I can."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
A slight frown touches Crush's lips before she shakes it off and says, "You're more than a discount supergirl, give yourself some credit. Sure, costumes make heroes more memorable, but what they do adds to that."

She takes a sip of her soda, then sets it back on the table. "I got some connections with the Justice League, an with the Titans, maybe I can help you get more durable materials to work with, but for now I'm happy to work with normal materials an try out a few looks... if you're willin to put up with my uh, punk feelin."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"Are you kidding? Just because I can't pull it off doesn't mean the punk look doesn't rock!" Sunny grins, leaning forward excitedly. "Invincible introduced me to his tailor, but he only has so much durable stuff so...any suppliers would be awesome. There's a reason why I stopped wearing white and red after the first few fires."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
Pulling out her phone, Crush makes a note in it to remind herself later to hit up the Titans and Justice League for leads to better materials.

"Most people don't get my look," she says as she puts the phone back in her pocket. "They think I'm trying to be edgy or some shit. Problem is, I /am/ edgy. This ain't my world, an I already feel like I don't belong here, so I gotta do my thing, my way to feel... normal, if that makes sense."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"If...it makes you feel any better? I'm an alien too, so is Superman, Invincible...so many heroes. Some of us are just a little more lucky when it comes to blending in....but you don't -have- to blend in."

A beat, she lifts a hand to point at Xiomara. "You're awsome, so keep being awsome! Lean into it."

"Besides," she adds with a grin. "It'll be fun to do something new!"

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
"Sups is my mentor," Crush admits with a sheepish grin. "I get that there are a lot of aliens, but I kinda grew up bein... well, kept away from humans cause I don't look human. My adoptive parents didn't want me to suffer abuse, but it still happened."

She shrugs a little, clearing her throat before ordering herself a burger with fries. "I'll always just be me, an I ain't gonna hide away from it or pretend to be human, it just gets hard feelin alone all the time."

She takes a sip of her soda and continues, "Somethin new is always welcome, I'm always lookin to try new things, unless it's cutesy... I don't exactly scream cutesy." She offers a half grin, half smirk. "At least, that's what I've been told."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"He's amazing," Sunny offers, grinning a little before nodding and offering a little soft sigh. "I mean, I was adopted too, but I seemed normal enough until my genetics manifested properly. I'd say I was a late bloomer, but as my species go 16 years is apparently really brief..."

That last comment brings a little laugh and she sips her drink once more before lifting a hand. "I mean, I meant for me, but hey! There's a lot of alt-punk and cute-punk looks and stuff so...never know!"

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
Continuing to watch Sunny's face, her comment about cutesy for herself makes Crush grin. "I can see you in cutesy," she comments, before clearing her throat.

"So yeah, I'll put out some feelers, see if I can find us some good materials, in the mean time feel free to get creative with the punk styles. I don't do normal pinks, but hot pink an dark pink are acceptable... probably obvious by my pants. I just... nothin normal. If I'm gonna stand out, I want to stand out in style."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"Sounds perfect!" Sunny adds, nodding her head at Xiomara's words and then considering for a moment. "If you've got examples of similar feels you want? Let me know. Otherwise, I'll get my sketchbook and see what comes. Although first...I'm going to want a picture. Even if it's just a selfie with the two of us."

A grin, she's already fishing for her phone. "Y'know, for inspiration."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
The idea of having her picture taken causes Crush to pause and just stare for a moment. Most of her life she had worked very hard to avoid cameras, but that was primarily due to avoiding the reputation of her father. Now she was a part of hero teams, her picture had been taken a couple of times by bystanders at scenes she'd helped out at... but to willingly take her picture?

"I don't have any photos of myself," she admits with a slight shrug. "So if you need pictures, you'll have to take em just don't... share them anywhere."

"As for examples, I could look around online, send you some links if you think that would help... I don't vary far from what I usually wear though. That's either good or bad, but I don't tend to spend a lot of time shoppin. Not my scene really, an it helps to not freak out humans just tryin to work."
