Cast of Characters: Minoke, Kyle Rayner

Minoke has posed:
Minoke was exploring this interesting place. Iron Man took her via plane to this starport in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. She can see the water all around her - and the infrastructure of this place is simply breathtaking. Also, Minoke is now fully-grown after being supplied with titanium to assimilate. The green-skinned metallic woman sits on a bench that creaks under her weight as she just studies the ocean, her eyes half-lidded. All she knows... is that she is far from home and doesn't rememer what it is. Though Iron Man seemed to recognize the glyphs on her ship...

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle Rayner is flying over the ocean. "You sure you read those readings right?" The ring mentioned there's some kind of alien ship in the area. Well, was. Kyle's trying to play catch up thanks to a mission. So, he flies around just scanning about. Minoke would know -about- Kyle. He's a Green Lantern. An intergalactic group that defend planets with sections being assigned t a Lantern like jurisdictions. This is probably Earth's Lantern. He's not, but the alien probably lacks those files.

it doesn't take long before he notices something and starts to approach. He'll float above the area and point with his ring. Light runs over her as he tries to scan Minoke. "Where did you come from?" Kyle asks as he waits for the Ring to tell him who, or what, this person is.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke lifts her head up as she senses the scan, her eyes glowing green as she scans back. The ring would probably report that the woman standing before you is a nanocolony construct, composed half of titanium and half of some unknown metal, and her appearnce is that of a Coluan. "I do not know my origin, Green Lantern," she states softly. Of course the Lantern Corps are in her memory - personal information is not, but that piece of information is. "My name is Minoke. For what do I owe this visit?" She sounds a bit puzzled but not really concerned.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"I heard rumors of a Coluan ship. That gets on a Lantern's Radar. Thus, I'm here," albeit late, which Kyle leaves out.

He floats down to her, "Alright. Minoke. Tell me about yourself. I know Coluans get wrapped into a bad light because of one very bad egg. So, tell me your story," he says and looks over the water. He's not sure what to make of this one.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke isn't Coluan herself - she is an artificial life-form created by them, possibly. "'Coluan'... that is what the man in the Iron Man armor said when he saw my vessel," she states softly. She looks up at you - then her gaze falls. "I do not have a story..." she states softly. "I do not remember. All I know... is that I woke up, here... and... I was trapped in my vessel. I was assisted out. Half my body was offline. I was able to rebuild. I was brought here - for my vessel is damaged as well." She shakes her head. "'One very bad egg'?" she asks blankly. "I do not und... und... under... stand..." Her voice stutters at that last word, the emotional response of confusion glitching her vocal processor as she touches her throat.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle asks, "Are you okay?" genuine concern in his voice. He looks back at Minoke, "Yeah. There's a Coluan that causes issues across the galaxy. His work is the stuff of nightmares. So, a lot of the galaxy does shiver when it comes to that race," he continues. The gaze returns to the water. "But the actions of one, doesn't mean everyone's bad. Y'know?" he looks at her. "So, your story is still unfolding. Do you know about the planet you're on?"

Minoke has posed:
Minoke smiles softly. "All I know is that it is called Earth, and the people here are happy to help a stranger, even one from a race of nightmares..." she murmurs softly, her voice still a bit staticky. "I am not. My heart is damaged. An ion storm, I was told. My ship was similarly affected..." She sighs softly. "But even without memories, I can sense my operation time - and it is a very short interval. I believe I was created relatively recently... maybe this was where I was supposed to go - but I was damaged along the way..." She then states, "Why are you here, Green Lantern? Are you seeing if I am working with this 'nightmare'?" she asks softly, a tremor of fear in her voice.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"That's right. Not to be confused with Eurath (pronounced OO-Rath). Earth is a good place with people called Human Beings. That's the race of this planet. We may not be as cool as some races on paper, we have spirit. We have ingenuity, and willpower." Kyle explains on that one and he hears the staticky nature of the voice. "Anything I can do to help?" he asks not sure if the ring could od something to help her.

"I was here to see your story. I think you're good people. I hoped you were, but I'd rather talk than come in guns blazing. Everyone deserves a chance," he says softly and he nods to her. "You are -not- a nightmare. Never let anyone tell you that. You can be anything you want to be. All you need to do is figure out what you want and that's going to take time."

Minoke has posed:
Minoke nods softly. "All I really know is what I can do. I can control metal. I consume it to rebuild myself. I can rebuild it. Strenghten it. Reshape it." She ponders softly. "A lot of people I've come across here seem to like wearing small bits of metal on their fingers or hanging from their ears. Mostly gold, silver, and the like. Jewelry, I've heard people say. I could do such things. It's a start." She sighs softly. "I suppose you could check my core..." She looks around. "Please do not touch it." Right below her chest, her stomach turns oozing green and opens, showing a metallic supercomputer the size of a baseball connected to the rest of the droid with two columns of green ooze... and the issue is obvious. There's a large scorch mark across it. Minoke's body is mostly inert at this point - she can't fully control herself when not fully interfaced with the core.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Like I said, you're still figuring it out. Nothing wrong with that," he says of the powers. "A lot of people wear those bits of metal to either symbolize a bond they have with another person, in the case of -some- rings. Other rings and dangling bits are a clothing accessory. They can be cheap, they can be fancy and they're all some form of expression. They serve no real purpose other than to accent a look," Kyle explains what jewelry is to her.

Then everything in the center becomes a green ooze. "Hmmm." Kyle holds the hand near the hole and starts to scan things. "I can try to spot wield this," and then he pauses as readings come back. "I run the chance of nicking something vital. If you can give me schematics, I can figure out how I can wield it -exactly- without harming or changing you," there's lamentation in his voice. "I'm sorry," he confesses. "it's fixable, but we don't want to hurt you in the process."

Minoke has posed:
Minoke reforms herself, nodding slowly. "That is possible. It is also likely that only returning home can fully repair it...' She sighs softly. "Thank you for looking, at least. You got a scan of it - maybe you can come up with something." She then smiles. "Ah - that is why you are here - you are human, are you not?" she asks. "I cannot really tell except by visual - my sensors are not really calibrated for biological scans..." She then sighs softly. "Well - I don't have many memories anyway - I can tell I haven't been around too long - so I will just form new memories here." She sighs softly. "I just wish I had a purpose..."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"I will do everything I can," Kyle says softly. That's what he can do. His gaze back out to the water. "I am human. I'm just in a costume with a mask." He looks back to her for a moment. "You're like a human, but shiny. We don't know our purposes until a lot of time has passed. That's all you need to do, figure it out. You'll get there, I have faith in you," Kyle says hopefully, she seems like a good egg. So, he's giving her the benefit of the doubt.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke blinks. "But I am nothing like humans. I'm not even organic. I'm made of metal. I literally ate a quarter-ton of titanium to return to my adult size..." she states, frowning. "Oh - you meant not physically, but more... ummm.... spiritually, for lack of better term?" She ponders. "Will these people accept me despite my heritage? I could try to hide it but not sure how effective that would be..."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Yes," Kyle agrees with her assessment. "Most will accept you. I'm sure there will be a few that don't, but that will be through no fault of your own. Not everyone is kind, but a lot are. The few that aren't, might hate you because you're green, or you're metal, or something trivial like that. Not even taken in your homeworld," Kyle just clarifies to her. "I'm just not going to say everyone will accept you. I'd say a good eighty-five, to ninety percent," he says just making sure she's not too down about that.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke nods. "Well - no group of people is all of one mind - then it wouldn't be a people but a hivemind." She then murmurs, "Can you tell me about the one named Iron Man? Can I trust him?" she asks. "Or was his seeming alturistic acts a facade just to get hold of my technology? I mean, his suit is very intricate... but..." She trails off.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"True. Very true, but I don't want to tell you it's all rainbows and sunny skies. There are dark days, too. More good than bad, but not perfect," then comes the question that gives him pause. "I haven't met the man personally. All I know is what I've read and what I've heard. He can be cocky and overconfident, but his heart is mostly in the right place. He's part of the Avengers, they're a team of heroes that try saving this planet many times over. Some of them are living legends. I'm kinda jealous, first day or week on Earth and you're hanging out with Avengers," and he looks at her. "If you can't trust him, find me. I am part of a team called The Titans. We try to help. Find out where th Titans are you can find me. I don't think you'll need to. You're in good hands, but in case something happens, I can be your safety net. Got it?"
