Cast of Characters: Damian Wayne, Yaretzi Acama

Damian Wayne has posed:
While Rook could just as easily use the facilities at home or the Batcave, he's made it a point to try to increase his presence at the Titans Tower as part of his new year's resolutions. Currently, he is in dojo area of the gymnasium, going through a series of katas as he is in a more relaxed state.

Dressed in a pair of sweat pants with a form fitting muscle shirt and wrap-around shades, he goes through each of the katas with ease, twisting and turning his body as he moves from position to position, his focus locked on just ... going through the practiced motions.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Having arrived at the Tower a few minutes ago, Golden Eagle stopped by the main public space and found no one there. Not feeling up to hanging out and watching TV alone, she starting floating through the place to try and find someone. Peeking into the gym, she accomplishes her mission: she's found someone!

The doors aren't squeaky or anything, but they're not the quietest when opened, and Golden Eagle's not trying to be sneaky about coming in... although she is still floating rather than walking -- her usual thing of seeming to find one as natural as the other, so that she's unconsciously just doing it.

"Heya, Rook", she calls out as the door starts closing behind her. "Whatcha doing?", she wonders, as she lifts a hand in a wave by way of greeting -- as she interrupts whatever it is he's doing.

Damian Wayne has posed:
While Eagle's arrival is noted, Rook continues to work through the katas, taking several moments without speaking to the young woman until he reaches a point where he can stop and casually strecthes out.

"Hello, Eagle." Yes, he knows she's also Yaretzi, but he addresses her by her form as he reaches over his shoulder with his opposite hand and bends. "I was taught some exercises to loosen up before and after training." he explains as he lets in a breath and blows it out slowly. "I was working my way through them when you arrived."

"How have you been? Did Donna help you with the communicator issue?" he asks curiously. And then, in an attempt to be more sociable. "Have you had a good holiday?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle, still floating, puts her hands on her hips as she hovers near enough for casual conversation, but without being so close that it might seem she's trying to be 'in the way'. She pouts at bit at the question asked of her and replies, "No... we haven't figured anything out on that angle, yet, aside my just carrying one all the time and putting it down before transforming... but -that- doesn't solve the issue of this outfit not having pockets or something to carry it in, either." She lifts her hands from her hips, then, and gestures at herself -- at her 'superhero' costume, rather.

"Other than that, everything's been good. The roof where I live gives a great view of all the fireworks everywhere. Didn't get to go see the ball drop, though", she adds, gesturing vaguely off 'thataway' as if to indicate the Square, where the big ball dropping happened.

"How about you and yours?", she then asks.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Hmm. I suppose that there could be a magical way. But I am not one for having much knowledge in the way of magic." Rook says as he watches her gesture over herself. "I'm glad you had a good holiday." he offers to her politely.

"Mine was fair. It was a decent enough time, spent it to myself for the most part." he admits, and then considers her for a fair moment.

"Is that the form you prefer?" he asks her curiously. "I have seen you in the other form, but I am just curious if you would rather be Eagle, than your other self?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
At the suggestion of a magical solution, the look on Golden Eagle's face speaks volumes of how she, too, doesn't know anything about magic that might help. When he asks about her form, she blinks... and laughs softly. "I'm just used to it, is all", she explains, and her feet touch the floor. "Cuatli!", she says, and there's the flare of 'fog' around her that looks like some kind of energy field, including giving off its own glow. An eyeblink later, the fog's gone and Yaretzi's standing there, dressed like she just got out of class, including a backpack on her back.

As she walks over to the nearest seat, stashing her pack underneath it before sitting down, she verbalizes her previous facial expression: "I really don't know anything about magic, myself, even though I know that my powers themselves have a magical kinda source. Haven't had a chance to talk it over with anyone who does know, yet."

Damian Wayne has posed:
As she shifts forms, Rook raises a brow. "You're fine in either form, I was more curious as to which you would perfer." he explains to her as he moves over to take a seat nearby. "Do you have much training in combat, or are you just more of a brawler?" he asks as he takes up a water bottle to drink from.

"You have ideas on how to handle your situation. I know that Thunderbolt has a similar situation to you." he shrugs his shoulder. "But if you want to reach out to her, you can." He's not making anyone do that. He's more just at ease with it all. "What are you studying?" A gesture to her backpack.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Uhm... no, I don't have any training. When I'm Eagle, though, I've got superhuman strength and reflexes, though -- I kinda just make it up as I go beyond that, I guess", Yaretzi admits.

The mention of the other heroine makes her ponder a moment. "Thunderbolt... she dresses a LOT like Shazam does", she says, thoughtfully. "I haven't been able to catch up with Shazam... he's got that magical Rock place that he took me to, once. I'd be willing to be he might have a way to help out with the T-Com thing... if I could get a hold of him, that is", she says, putting one elbow on a knee and her chin in that hand, while using the other hand to gesticulate as she speaks, as if indicating the absent Shazam.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Thunderbolt share similar abilities, yeah." That's the only clue that Rook is going to offer on the matter, before he chuckles softly, and sits up after setting the water down.

"You are quick, and that's a good thing to have. With the proper training, though, you could be be faster and more percise with your strikes. I can't do much for you when you're in your Eagle form, but were you to learn something as Yaretzi, would it carry over to your other form as well? I assume you share skills, is not powers."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Yeah, I can use what I learn here as Eagle... it's my brain in there, and I can still do things that're muscle memory kinda things, like typing that sorta thing, anyway, so I'm pretty sure it'd carry over", is Yaretzi's reply to the idea. "I just can't afford boxing or martial arts classes... and I kinda don't have too much spare time, either. Usually", she says, that last earning a chuckle as she realizes the irony of that she came to the Tower because she -had- free time, today. Then, she purses her lips for a moment, resting her chin in both hands, both elbows now on her knees, and adds, "... and, besides, if I learned karate from some school or another, wouldn't there be a chance that someone might recognize their school's form or style or whatever? It might make it possible for someone to figure out I'm Eagle... and I really don't want that getting out, 'cause it'd make it dangerous for my family."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Tt." Damian says in mild amusement. "That's cute. But if you train enough, your style becomes your own. It would take a master in the skill to recognize that. You can easily pass it off that you are taking basic self defense classes."

"And when you are in your other form, with your speed and abilities, it would not be easy for someone to say 'that is the same thing I saw Yaretzi using', unless you make it blatant." he points out to her.

His hand rest to his side and ponder for a moment. "I could show you some basics, just enough so that you don't feel like you're learning something more advanced, if you want?"
