Cast of Characters: Alexander Aaron, Monica Chang, Daisy Johnson

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"This couldn't have come at a worse time," Alexander says as he stands in front of the yawning maw of the open suitcase. Hands on his hips, expression distant as he considers its depths. Over his shoulder he called out to the wandering rummaging woman who had let herself loose in his house. Though the house... hadn't been lived in for months, and could use a bit more cleaning. Yet most of his things were still intact, and he did a few loads of laundry to catch up. But now...
He had to pack for a trip across the ocean.
"Things are already weird with my dad. But I suppose this is what it means to have a job." His eyes narrow slightly as he looks back down at the luggage. "This sucks."
But some of his mood isn't due to the need to travel for work. Monica likely knew what darkened his manner after all, though they both did a good job of not speaking about it. Not directly at least.

Monica Chang has posed:
Indeed, she knew. But Monica was a good friend and knew not to bring it up. Bringing it up kept it fresh and didn't allow him to work through it at his speed. Probably would take a bit but he was young and resilient. Thought like a true old person. She rolled her eyes at herself as she plopped down on the couch in the living room.

"I'll watch over your Dad. I'm off the next couple of days. I'll have HAL monitor everything and be sure he's good." Which was kind of silly as he was the God of War and anything that was a threat to him probably would chew Monica up and spit her out without any difficulties. It's the thought that counts.

"This is pitiful, Aaron." Uh-oh, she pulled out the last name. She did that when she found something she wanted to complain about. And looking at his tv and the lack of video game representation...

"Is that a Playstation 3?! Which would be fine if you had a four and five with it but just a PS3? Where did I go wrong in your upbringing?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy had heard about the trip to London. She had also heard about the THING THAT SHALL NOT BE SPOKEN OUT LOUD. Because how could one expect the hacker turned super spy not to know? Yet most of all she was a friend, and she did what friends do.

Being there when things are rough.

And ooh boy, does the place look like it needs cleaning. She's just getting inside when she overhears Monica speaking of a PS3. "Shall we provide it a proper burial?" she asks from the doorway, eyebrows arched at the relic in display.

"Heard our boy is going to London.", she then calling out to the room, "Are you decent or do I need to close my innocent eyes?"

Alexander Aaron has posed:
The words she heard thrown out of the bedroom were clearly fighting words as he called out. "What? I don't play video games. Those are kids stuff." As he says it in that sharp gruff tone she can't see the half-smirk on his lips as he speaks them, knowing full well that this is like waving the proverbial red cape in front of the bull's horns. Yet it amused him.
He finally, however, started moving around the room and putting together sets of clothing. "So two days is all I'm supposed to be over there. So like... three suits? Something casual? Anything else?" Though the young Olympian usually was so together and with it with regards to most things, he did not travel very often. At least by conventional means.
But then he hears Daisy's voice as he calls out, "Decent as ever." There's a brief appearance of the young blond man as he sticks his head out of the bedroom then waves, "Heya." Then he ducks back inside, leaving the two women alone in the living area to poke their heads around and clearly pass judgement since that's a thing that at least Monica is doing.

Monica Chang has posed:
There was a sharp gasp from Monica. But then there was a second as Alexander waved his verbal cape in her face. For the first shocked sound had been at Daisy. "We do not bury working video game consoles. They become collector's items in the future. Besides, there are a few titles they never made compatible for future consoles so...Perish the thought."

Then she raised her voice. "Say they are kids stuff again. Aaron. I know where you sleep!" Which was an empty threat since she wasn't going to kill him over something like that but hopefully it amused him at least a little. That was her purpose at the moment. Keep things light and fun.

"Three suits? I thought you were going for two days. Is it three? And definitely something casual for when you want to go out to eat or something. Maybe the club to get freaky on the dance floor." She was pretty sure Alexander did not dance but honestly, she didn't really know. She'd never asked. "So be sure to pack leather. Or pleather if PETA got to you."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy whispers in a low tone, "Emulators." as if that would be the answer to ALL problems. She still eyes the console with a sort of murderous gaze to her though. Perhaps Monica will have to play defense for as long as Daisy stays here today.

"Also, an umbrella. FOOD. Because brits can't cook for shit." See? All the extra help.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
Needless to say, Alexander does not take... most of Monica's advice, for she lived on a planet other than earth. He picks out those three suits, and some casual clothes. No pleather nor leather. His choice of coat is the pea coat that's resting out on the sofa in the living room, but that's all the concession he's making to Winter.
Yet after a bit of time he does emerge carrying that suitcase and setting it down near the couch. He then looks around for his ubiquitous backpack and picks that up, setting it down on top of the luggage. "Alriight, what am I forgetting?" He looks around, hands on his hips, gaze distanced in thought.
When Daisy offers her insight he nods, "Umbrella, good idea." His eyebrows rise as he considers, then he turns and walks down the hall again to go digging about for an umbrella. Over his shoulder he says, "Food I'll endure."

Monica Chang has posed:
Umbrella. Did she even own an umbrella? Monica found herself trying to remember if she did and the conclusion was that no, she did not own an umbrella. She did own a way too expensive but worked so good poncho though for those heavy rain days. Because Monica couldn't give a shit about being fashionable.

"That's a little harsh. Only most of their food sucks. Their fish and chips are amazing. Never can find a place here in the States that gets it right, unless it's a British restuarant. And a full English breakfast?" She made a happy sound and then stood up from the couch, moving toward the PS3 and starting to check connections. Was it even hooked up to the tv or was he cosplaying it being useable?

"And how are we supposed to know what you forgot when we didn't watch you pack? Let's see. Clean underwear? Toothbrush? Toothpaste? Deodorant? Razor?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"You won't have to..." Oh yes, Daisy came prepared! Because would she let Alex just leave the country without bringing some good ol' AMERICAN food? It's why she brought her backpack too, "I brought you a few goodies.." she opens it. A paraphernalia of food within. Treasures! "And I even got you the last potato cakes I could find at Arby's. Did you know they stopped producing it?"

So he's bringing vintage, rare product abroad! The last of it's kind. The last potato cake!

That Monica speaks of enjoying British cuisine? That gets a turn of her nose. "Really, Monica? Really?", she sighs, disappointment brewing on her expression.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"I'm more just talking to myself, since it's the only way I get intelligent conversation." His lip twists up as he ducks into the bathroom, hoping to duck anything thrown his way. They likely can hear him puttering around inside there as Monica starts to poke around his possessions as if she owned the place.
Then they'll hear a slight laugh as he pokes his head back out, eyeballing Daisy just long enought to verify that she's being serious. Which it seems she is. He raises an eyebrow, "That is... surprisingly thoughtful of you. I've not had potato cakes. Do you mean like... hash browns?"

Monica Chang has posed:
At least the PS3 is actually hooked up. Monica double checks everything then hits the power button as she moves back to the couch with a controller in hand. Which is actually plugged in because that's probably going to be necessary. Who knew when those batteries had last been charged. If they even still worked!

To her surprise, they did. Which at least implied that he had at least played in the last two years most likely. She'd check his save files once in for dates because yes indeed, she was that nosey.

For Kids her ass. His secret was revealed! Though admittedly, it wasn't that recent. But it wasn't that far back either. She smirked as she opted to play whatever it was he had loaded in at the moment.

At mention of Arby's potato cakes, she turned her head that direction with confusion evident. Then a moment before she said, "Hash browns? Aaron, potato cakes are not hashbrowns. Different texture, thickness, ration of cripsy to soft and decadent." A look to Daisy as if to say what can you do. At least she hopefully got culinary points for liking Potato Cakes to make up for liking some British food.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Tempting. But the potato cake is too important to be thrown just LIKE THAT. So she just shakes her head at Alexander's childish comments. Truly. Someone needs to be adult here when someone is hurling insults and hiding in the bathroom while the other is pondering the best way to steal that darn PS3 for their collection.

"Hash browns? Sure, let's say I do..." even if she nods Monica's way. "Are you saying you never had potato cakes?" she lets out a sigh.

"Maybe you are British..." she then prowling over to the couch to check what Monica is going to play.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
Alex walks out of the bathroom, and his smiling twist to his lips gives a hint he might not be being entirely serious. Then it's over into the living room and he scoops up the other controllers from the entertainment center, pushing on the power buttons and then dropping onto the couch beside her. "Sounds like hash browns with extra steps." As he says that he ever so casually butts in onto the console and tried to push it over to a little game about multi-colored cartoon knights, using his controller to do so. He then tosses the extra controller to Daisy.
"C'mon, you've been drafted Dayzee. But I get to be red, I'm always red."
As he says that he settled back deeper into the couch.
