Greer Grant has posed:
Early Saturday evening, and it's a good time to be out shopping. The weather's certainly on the cool side, but not bitterly so, and while the sky has darkened, it's hardly proper night time. Some families are about, enjoying time together, but errands were accomplished earlier in the day, and this is more of a time for just getting out and about. Tigra is doing just such a thing, being out and about, in her natural form, that of the feline Avenger. She wears a Star Trek t-shirt and cut off denim shorts and sandals, which might be unusual for the weather, but well, fur coat. It's also a bit at odds with the inventory of the fancy clothing store that she's in, the sort of store where there's hardly racks of clothes but rather sample items on display, all of elegant cuts and quality make. Again, though, Avenger. Also, as an Avenger, first name basis with a certain famous fashionista.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Not that Betsy is an Avenger, per se, but Betsy Braddock is pretty well known as a fashionista herself. Wearing a very elegant dark purple silk blouse that goes with her hair, along with black slacks, she cuts a superb figure without even trying. She does notice Tigra in the store, because well, who wouldn't?

Seeing that Tigra is also doing a bit of shopping, she sidles over relatively unnoticed, at least until her voice echoes in a proper British accent, "I really think a forest green would better fit, though I must say that I admire your taste."

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra is holding out the sleeve of an elegantly tailored poet's blouse type of garment, looking at it thoughtfully. It's made in an interesting shade of yellow and Tigra finds herself trying to picture the same cut in different colors. Her tail sweeps back and forth slowly as she lets herself get lost in thought, looking up with a bit of surprise at someone being able to approach so closely.

"Hm?" she says eloquently before brain catches up. "Oh, I think you're right, yeah," she says, letting the sleeve drop. "Yellow is...not my color." She shifts attention more fully to the other woman, now, looking her up and down quickly. "Purple is definitely yours, though," she says approviingly.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy laughs, "Yeah, ever since I was a child. Always had a fixation on the purple." She shakes her head a bit, letting her purple hair flair a bit, then she smiles and extends a hand, "Betsy Braddock, but everyone calls me Betsy, or Bets. I admit I wasn't expecting to see an Avenger here, when I was doing a little bit of shopping." She does, however, seem to make a note of the blouse that Tigra was looking at, as if thinking about picking one up for herself.

If they have it in purple anyway.

Greer Grant has posed:
"It's a nice color, one of those fun ones that's bit of this, bit of that, red and blue. Gives a lot of versatility if you can pull it off. And, of course, the imperial purple angle." Tigra takes the offer hand with a friendly grip. "Tigra," she says with a grin, "Though my fame proceeds me. Yours as well, Betsy. I've seen some of your modeling work."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy smiles, "Why thank you, it's nice to meet someone that knows me for that." She chuckles softly, "I should be a bit more active there, but I always seem to find things that occupy my time these days." She gives Tigra's hand a friendly squeeze in the handshake, before letting it go.

"I admit I've occasionally run into Janet Van Dyne, so you're not the first Avenger I've met. Probably the most eye-catching one, though." She smiles pleasantly, meaning that in a purely positive light, as she looks at Tigra. "Just a little clothes shopping before saving the world again?"

Greer Grant has posed:
"There's certainly worse things to be known for," Tigra notes. She then offers a crooked grin at the mention of Janet. "I think Jan's met an order of magnitude more people than I have, and that's not just in fashion circles. I don't know how she lives a life as full as hours and pulls off being an Avenger." Grin turns to a smile at the compliment. "Very kind of you to say, as you certainly are yourself." She turns her attention back to the clothing. "Of the window shopping sort, mostly. I'm more infamous for my style when it comes to clothing, rather than famous, but I certainly enjoy looking at different possibilities."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy smiles, "Well, I wouldn't mind helping, and hey, I'm definitely flattered that you recognized /me/." She winks at Greer, and tilts her head, 'What's your normal style, I'm pretty sure we can find something here that suits your tastes. But it's always great to explore possibilities, you never know if you'll like something until you try it."

Greer Grant has posed:
Another grin from the feline, this time wry. "Tastes, almost certainly, budget, well, maybe not tonight but something I can manage in the future. As for style, well, I usually wear just a bikini. It's easier to move in, when you're covered in fur, and a definite necessity in the summer time. I -can- wear other things, of course. I have a very elegant JVD original, for example. And then there was the time I was in a speedo instead of the bikini," she winks. "Beyond that, I don't much much of a 'style' of my own."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy hrms, "Well, we should fix that, if you like." She grins, "After all, you could have something light, particularly in winter, and as far as cost..." She laughs, "Honestly, you're a friend of Janet's, which is good enough for me to cover it. After all, I made my money the old fashioned way." She pauses, then winks at Greer, "I inherited it. So..." She gives Greer a long once-over, then gestures, "I think I saw something earlier you'd love."

Greer Grant has posed:
A flick of the tail as Betsy says she'll cover it, a hint of her conflicted feelings. There's pride in not wanting a handout, but also manners in not wanting to refuse a kind offer, and Tigra definitely recognizes it as a kind offer. She smiles at it, and nods, then laughs at the inheritance joke. She takes a small step back to give Betsy a wider view of her form, resting her hands on her hips. "Oh do tell?" she asks, the tail going from conflicted to curious.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy smiles and leads the way to a different rack, where there's a very stylish green dress with red accents. Fairly daringly cut, but not so much when, as Tigra noted, one is covered in fur. But the way the dress is layered is a combination of modest enough to wear, but flexible enough to give some favorable freedom of movement. Even if one has a tail.

"What do you think of this? It's not exactly my colors, but I think it would look /fabulous/ on you, if you wanted to try it? If they had a purple and silver, though..."

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra follows Betsy with her graceful stride and looks over the rack curiously. Seeing the dress the tip of her tail curls in approval, and she smiles at it. "Oh, my, that is absolutely gorgeous," she murmurs, reaching out to finger the fabric, being careful to not snag a claw in it. "I think those colors would definitely suit me," she adds, picking it up and holding it against her front experimentally. "Just the thing for a semi-formal event I think. Mm, maybe even formal."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy looks quite pleased at Tigra's reaction, stepping away to murmur something to the woman running the store right now. She nods and vanishes in the back, presumably to maybe look for a purple version of the dress. Then she smiles at Tigra.

"Well, I think it's definitely quite flexible either way, and I'm sure you'd turn a lot of heads showing up to any sort of event wearing that." She grins cheerfully, "And the matron thought they might have a purple one in that style as well, so even better."

Greer Grant has posed:
Steps over in front of a mirror, looking at her it looks when held up to her like that. "Oh I don't doubt that," she says with a small grin at talk of turning heads. The grin broadens a bit as Betsy says they might have one in purple. "Oh, even better. Maybe we'd wind up at the same event like that. At least they'd be different colors, though, so one of us wouldn't have to go back and change."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
The matron comes back with a purple version of said dress, and then Betsy grins wryly at Greer, "Well, there's always one way to guarantee that we'd be at the same event." She gives Greer a wink as she looks at the dress, then back at Greer, "Want to be measured first, or shall I?"

Greer Grant has posed:
A soft laugh when Betsy suggests a guarantee. "By all means, go ahead, if you like. I'll happily wait my turn, considering you're treating me to this." She has very carefully not looked at the price. She knows Betsy is being very generous here. "I half expect Jan might have mine on file somewhere, just because, and took them without my even knowing it."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy smiles, "Sounds like Jan." She moves over towards the mirrored area where measurements are taken, and poses accordingly, glancing over her shoulder towards Greer, "And well, should always have them retaken, you never know what might happen."

Though when Greer laughs at the mention of the guarantee, Betsy smiles, "Hey, I think it would be delightful to have you with me at one of these things. If nothing else, it'd be nice to have someone that I'd actually /want/ to talk to."

Greer Grant has posed:
"I'm part human, part cat, believe me, I know how one's body can change, and I've experienced even since then." Tigra watches the measuring process appreciatively, noting the way that Betsy moves. Another one of her quick grins. "Well, that's kind of you to say, and I certainly take it as a compliment. Consider the offer tentatively accept if it's being put forward," she says. She'll step forward for her turn with the measuring tape, definitely taking note of the results.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy smiles, "It definitely is, though if you want to hang out a bit later, I actually own a club not too far from here. We can go there and chat after this, if you like?" She grins and steps down once the measurements are done, letting Greer take her turn. "Plus, we have some great chefs there."

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra steps back out of the way once her measuring is done, taking a copy of her measurements the attendant offers her and tucking it away. "What, really?" she asks, head tilted a bit in curiosity at that. "That's unexpected. I mean, not that you don't seem the type, or -do- seem the type, just that, well, don't think I've met someone who owns their own club." She considers a moment. "Well, Jan probably does. Probably more than one, but Jan is Jan. But I don't have anything planned, so that sounds like fun."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy laughs, "Well, it was a bit of a lark, really... and I just felt there was a certain style missing in the clubs here in New York, so I thought I'd give it a try. And it's grown on me a bit, though there's something to be said for having a bit more freedom." She grins, "And excellent, we can just head over there when we're done here."
