Synopsis: While exploring Midgard, Mary Jane, Frigga, and Angela opine on the day of couples. And remember periods of anguish and being alone.
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Frigga, Aldrif Odinsdottir

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It's been a couple of days since Frigga decided to explore Midgard to see what exactly so fascinated her two sons with it. Mary Jane had offered to show her around some. Now, over the winter, Mary Jane is going along and had put in a request to a fellow redheaded stab-friend to join them. And so there would be a bit of a family gathering going on.

Mary Jane is eating a large slice of pizza while walking along. "So what's your favorite part of the Big Apple so far?" Seeing what Frigga had found the most interesting part in her explorations so far forwards! "The food? The culture? The people? Or just how there's always something going on that you can justify stabbing or settin gon fire?" Since existence seemed predisposed to that.

Frigga has posed:
And what an interesting few days it's been. The All-Mother, Queen of Asgard, come to Midgard, dressed in 'street clothes' and yet she still maintains that air of both regalness and that hint of 'other worldliness'. There is absolutely something //different// about the elegant woman. Long blonde hair is plaited on both sides, framing her face as the rest falls behind her. She wears slacks, though a long tunic is draped over, completed with a woolen, hooded cloak, such a one as can be purchased at one of the avant-garde clothing shops in the City.

"My favorite?" A soft 'hmm' sound escapes Frigga as she gives the question consideration. "I think the people are fascinating. Not too far from when I remember, but strange enough that they're not the same." Always, people. "The food is interesting, too. How some refuse to eat meat, and some reject any part of an animal." She 'tsks' softly, though not dismissively. "Their feasts must be made of such interesting things."

Frigga does laugh at the suggestion that perhaps there is also violence within the Great City of New York, and shakes her head. "I will do no such thing, nor shall I allow it, if I can at all help it." Even though she is a warrior of her own right. "Such things are meant as a last resort."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela is wearing a new black cloak replacing the other that was a victim of battle recently. She also has casual clothes on maybe for the first time ever, though betrays her leisurely style with battle boots and tape wrappings over her bare, red knuckles. She strides to the doorway and looks up the street as the shop owner stands next to her.

"The pizza place? Which one? There's tons of em! Especially down the ole street here!" the shop owner says and points down the street. Angela eyes the street and then nods as he spots Mary Jane and Frigga walking up the way toward her, "Nevermind, your directions won't be needed. I see the two I know walking this way. Oh right, here. Here is your....tip, now you may go," Angela says, plopping some coins into the man's hand before motioning him off. The man frowns and smirks a bit before shuffling on off back to his shop.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile over at Frigga, "I can get that. Just being somewhere different and seeing it from a divergent perspective. You see things a lot differently on the ground than as the queen. On Midgard, there's a fairy tale called the Prince and the Pauper." She would look flippant and remember something from grade school.

"It's about seeing things from perspectives that you'd never get. And everyone has thier own particular palette. Some are gourmand. Some are whatever. But everyone has their own preferences. Our food is like our fashion. You decorate, you consume, you enjoy things that have meaning.. Though unlike Asgard, ther eseems to be a rule on Midgard that whatever you really like to eat the most has to be bad for you. That seems like a subject of reality here." She would quip, as everyone whom had ever wanted tlive off ice cream could respond over.

She would smile at Angela, "Hey, thanks for being able to make it. Nice to have folks to hang out wtih down here on a quiet day."

Frigga has posed:
Always awkward. How does one relate to a daughter that the All Father has exiled? Probably the same way Frigga relates to a son that the All Father has exiled, thrown in prison, name it. In that case, with all the affection that a mother can bring to bear to make their lives a little easier. That said, her sons have her heart, and some might suggest that she does have her preference, though like a proper mother, she'll never admit it or give it word.

Putting her hands out to greet the outcast Asgardian and Child of Heven, she offers a warm smile, "Angela."

"'Prince and the pauper'? Perhaps one day at the table you'll tell me the story." Frigga does nod her agreement, however, "Life is very different when one has the walls of the palace about you. Things are almost never as they appear. But, on the other hand, the view from the palace is a great deal broader, with eyes set to many directions instead of what is simply before you. In that, too, is clarity."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela walks over to Mary Jane and Frigga and nods as she's greeted by Mary Jane, "I greet you. I have acquired some less conspicuous clothes for ... our quiet walk, as you called it," she states. She looks at Frigga somewhat blandly.

Angela quietly thinks over her whole situation and stares it right in the eye for a moment, before shaking Frigga's hand. She stands there tensely, though Angela might look tense and annoyed next to almost anyone, much less an Asgardian. "I am not sure how you expect this to be a quiet walk. That was a poor description. I see what you have done though. I think nothing will come of it though," she assures Mary Jane, "Where are we going?" she asks. She eyes Mary Jane for her little trick.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
MJ doesn't know much about Angela's life. But what she does sounds miserable. she hasn't asked about it much either. It's beyond any real grasp she has to be able to imagine. It's osmething that Sonja's consciousness can speak of.. But the consequences of it from Sonja's mind are stories that she doesn't want to recollect. Throughout the eons, those tales end only in misery, blood, despair, and death. It's something she's much happier not recollecting.

"Well, I can summarize it pretty handily. It's more of a parable and not necessarily the best one, but it is a good one." Simple stories sometimes worked. MJ would muse. "I'm a city girl. Put me in a countryside that's not the suburbs and I'd be staring out and trying to figure what was the forest and what was the trees."

As Angela would query, she would smile. "We're wandering, seeing where things take us. Just exploring."

Frigga has posed:
Who can know the stories of others' journeys unless they're told? And even then, experiences is perception, and not all can be known. Simply the experience. For good or ill, it makes the man, and the woman. It hones the edge of the warrior, and softens those with compassion.

The hand, once taken, lies there in touch; not clasped as warriors, but lain in peace. It's quick, a greeting completed as her hands are retrieved. "It is quiet. The streets are filled with only the noise of conversation, of life. There is a certain something in the air. I understand there is an upcoming festival for lovers?" Valentine's Day is swiftly approaching. Was that a gentle admonition? Perhaps?

"A parable? I do look forward to hearing of it. Perhaps, then, some word of wisdom will come from it." The walk, albeit slow and not really in any specific direction, begins once more. "I too love the city. Though, I would do just as well in the countryside. I do wonder what life would have been like if that had been my fate." Rather than an arranged marriage with inarguably one of the most powerful Asgardians? Hmmmm..

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela shoves her hands into her cloak and looks rather annoyed walking there with a wicked Asgardian but maybe she's a little less annoyed having been on Migard for so long. Maybe not, "It is a Migard holiday for love," she states simply. She snarls a bit as if she wants to spit. "It is maybe ironic the Migardians have a holiday for love and I am here but unworthy of such. Caused by the Asgardians. Of course. Now you make me walk with one, Mary Jane. I do not think I like this situation and I am getting annoyed by it. I think I would like to have words with you."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would look over her shoulders at nothing in particular, looking contemplative. "it's an.. Artificial holiday. Well, I suppose most are artificial. It's a.. Marketing thing?" No, that didn't really make sense out of context. All things were artificial. She goes to try and think about how ot present it.. "It's a commercial thing." That.. Makes less sense out of context, but is something that she feels a bit more confident going with.

At Frigga's whimsy, MJ looks over at her thoughtfully. "I bet you'd have ended up well no matter where you ended up." If Frigga had gone down, she'd have been Queen of Hell before the next time Ragnarok rolled around.

At the commentary of Angela, she would wince. "Hey, I"m sorry. Wha'ts up?" she would take a hand up and over to seek permission to squeeze Angela's shoulder. Knowing such a thing might not be welcome and also may not transfer between cultures.

Frigga has posed:
There's a soft sound that rises from Frigga, a quiet exhalation that is usually saved for those moments of quiet, wry amusement. "It is simply you that says that, and if you believe such, what is your solution?" The All Mother is all too aware of errant children; of those that should be reminded that there is more around that simply themselves, and that there are productive solutions at hand, if one were only to look. And, of course, choices to be made.

Choose wisely.

Rolling her shoulders, the Queen's posture remains straight, her mood unfazed, even though she's being referred to in the third person, as it were, as if she weren't present. Ever patient with children.

"I think to look into it when I return. See what rituals are to be celebrated, even in a .. commercial holiday." The assurance of her success regardless of where she would have landed gains a gentle smile, "You are kind."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela smirks a bit as she stops and eyes Mary Jane, eyeing the hand that dares touch her, "Do not what's up me. Asgardians are responsible for most of what's evil in my life. I'm fairly certain of that," she states. As Frigga comments, Angela finally looks at it again, "I think if even Heven were open to the known worlds and I was free once again, I would still be not be welcome anywhere. Look at me. Am I an Angel? Am I a friend? An exile cannot be a friend."

"But you are right. It is better to have action and purpose than wallow in self-contempt. It is true. I will find a way to put right what went wrong. Here in Migard or through the dimensions," she rambles, though doesn't look like she's going to go off and fight anybody.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance over at Angela for a few moments. Sadly.. And then come over to some sort of conclusion. "Well ladies, we can't let that challenge be unmet now, can we?" In turn as Frigga goes to muse contemplatively, and Angela grieves in her own way for her lack of connections.. Mary Jane goes to solidly put an arm through each of their arms if allowed. She's not moving either of them if they don't go along with her. She's not that strong.

"Ti's decided then. We're going clubbing." Clubbing? She says that in the tone that would make mere men shudder over in fear. A phrase with wanton danger attached to it.

FLEE OR FOREVER LOSE YOUR IMMORTAL SOUL.

Frigga has posed:
"Be still and listen to your own words," Frigga offers softly, directing the path. Beyond that bit of advice, the Queen of Asgard says nothing more. Instead, brows rise at MJ in amused askance.

"What is this 'clubbing'? Is this a hunt?" Of course it is! There wouldn't be this amount of enthusiasm for anything other, right? "What is the quarry?"

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela takes her hands out of her pockets and fixes the tape on her hands as Mary Jane talks of challenges. She then looks confused as it's not that kind of challenge. She seems confused by both Frigga and Mary Jane, "Stop annoying me. You wish to go to a hunt with me now?" she asks rather forwardly but she's always like that so that's not new. As Mary Jane pops to her side and grabs her arm, Angela eyes Mary Jane again, "You know I will not be undone even without my weapons."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would grin, "Sure, but it's against not specific quarry. Ladies, our target is enjoyment. Tonight we are going to seek out fun and entertainment, let nothing get in our way, and revel in the slaughter as we chase it down and rend it limb from limb, and feast upon it's bones as we dismember the carcass. Tonight we are going OUT."

She might be oversellin git JUUSSSTTT a bit.

Frigga has posed:
MJ's arm is entwined with the Queen's, and while the familiarity is based upon impulsivity, Frigga's response is kind. She takes a half step, her features turning apologetic. "I'm sorry ladies," and the way she says the word, it holds a touch more meaning than most put upon it, "I do need to depart. Someone calls to me, and it is something I cannot refuse." There is that fond smile as she considers who it may be that asks for her presence. She'll never tell.

"I promise that I will search for you rend such enjoyment and make it bend to our will later." With that, the All Mother turns to depart, the further she is from the remaining pair, the less solid she appears until she disappears completely.
