Janet van Dyne has posed:
There aren't a lot of people who get to park 'out front' of Stark Tower. The security services keeps things moving quickly enough that a fair number of visitors are rolling drop-offs. Obviously some people have to come to the Tower, but there is also ample parking in the ordered lot outside.

Then again, rules are for poor people. This is evidenced by a yellow-and-black Rolls-Royce coming to a smooth stop immediately in front of the large glass doors. There is a driver behind the smokey windows wearing a bussard cap, and he hops out quickly to get the passenger door. Janet van Dyne emerges from the back seat. She's dressed for work in well-fitted camel-tan pants and a sleeveless magneta top with long strips tied loosely around her throat like a choker. Pumps the precise shade of her shirt set the outfit off quite vividly.

Her ever-ready assistant darts ahead to hold the door for her as Janet walks into the lobby with her chin up and a no-nonsense stride taking her towards the Executive elevators.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde rides the elevator down, hoping it will go straight to the lobby without a stop. But nope, it slows and stops on 27. And of all luck, that guy with the thick horn-rimmed glasses who perks up every time sees Kitty, gets on.

Kitty pulls out her tablet and begins tapping away on it, avoiding eye contact.

He clears his throat. Kitty doesn't look up. He does so again. Then says, "Um, hello. How are things up in AI going?" He pushes his glasses further up on his nose. "That's where you work, right?" he asks.

Kitty looks up from the tablet, giving him a friendly enough smile. "I do. It's pretty good. You know how it is. Busy," she tells him.

The elevators hums along quietly for a few more seconds. "Yeah, busy," he agrees, displaying his mastery of the conversational arts.

He finally gets his nerve worked up, and says, "So I was wondering if-"

*DING*

The elevator reaches the ground floor. "Great seeing you!" Kitty says to him as she breezes out before he can finish the thought. Walking quickly, tablet going back into her purse as she heads towards the glass door out to the street. Wearing charcoal slacks and nice shoes, with a white blouse and a black jacket overtop for the cold weather. And then slows her step a bit as the familiar face of Janet van Dyne comes inside and turns her direction.

Janet van Dyne has posed:
When Kitty and Janet make eye contact, the socialite's eyes widen in surprise before a brilliant smile crosses her face. "Katherine, where on /earth/ have you been," she inquires by way of greeting. As they near she holds her hands out to offer a hug to the mutant and gives her a firmly welcome squeeze before letting her go. "I haven't seen you in months, and you just happen to be crossing my path today? It's practically kismet," she declares.

Some people would take their conversation somewhere else, or at least clear the area so the elevators aren't obstructed. Janet does neither, with a total lack of self-awareness. "Please tell me you hate it here and Tony is the worst," she prompts Kitty. "I've got a six-figure job with your name on it working for my label. I'll even let you do some modelling work."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde's face lights up after that first reaction of surprise for not expecting Janet, and not having seen her in so long. The hug is returned very warmly. "It's been forever," Kitty agrees. "Yet you're still looking as killer as always," Kitty says, looking over Janet and her attire.

Horned-rim glasses goes past, turning to look at both women, but gawking at Janet like he didn't at Kitty. Unfortunately for him, he isn't important to the current story and will appear in the credits as 'Man in elevator' or something like that.

Kitty's smile is still bright as she says, "I worked back up at the school for awhile doing guidance counseling. Before Pepper Potts tracked me down and made me an offer I couldn't confuse." She lets out a soft laugh as if there's a story there. "And I've been working on some of Tony's AI projects since. I can't say I hate it, but I'll keep that offer in mind down the road if things change," Kitty says warmly.

Janet van Dyne has posed:
"Oh I see how it is, Pepper," Janet mutters in a stage voice. "Well, I guess I can't really tempt you with money, especially in the face of getting to play with Tony's toys," Janet concedes. "I might even come around to forgiving you some day. After I find a way to rub Pepper's face in it."

She flutters her hand through the air dismissively. "But that's later. How are things going at the school? I don't think I've been up there in a good while. We might be due for another Avenger's Day in Westchester," she offers with a twinkle in her eyes. "Think you could put a word in with the stud in the red glasses, see if wants to set up something?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
A soft, warm grin results of the mention of possibly being forgiven. "I think the students would absolutely love it. I'm sure Scott would be up for it. Logan would probably even grunt if hears about it. Whether that's the 'good idea' grunt or the 'I'm too stoic to take notice' grunt we probably won't be able to figure out until after the fact, though," the Jewish girl replies with a warm chuckle.

"I'll see if I can set something up. Maybe the end of the month. Or St. Patrick's Day or something?" Kitty suggests. "I've been looking about for a place in the city. I still help out at the school, and work from there a fair amount. But having somewhere nearer to crash would help. Though, well, I do stay at Warren's some again. Though we're not back together-together."
