Joshua Foley has posed:
It's been a couple of days since the scuff-up at Josie's, and the obvious blow-up that happened. Joshua happened to be in the area, having completed his work at the Bushwick Clinic and that was when he realized he had left something behind when he left the bar under Sara's protection.

He comes in, his head down, quiet. He's clearly accepting that he's the one that was at fault that night - and comes up to the bar. "Hi. Have you seen a coat here? Kinda puffy. Black. Has a yellow X on one shoulder." he offers quietly. "I think I left it here the other night."

He's in a lighter jacket, his hands stuck in his pockets, blue jeans and sneakers. A hat is tucked onto his head, and he's doing his best to keep his golden skin muted.

Blue GhostEyes has posed:
Rather than tending bar, Blue is just here to drink tonight. She had a frustrating and very confusing evening but after most of a bottle of her favorite cheap honey whiskey, memories of earlier have faded away and the woman is feeling no pain.

Still wearing those cowboy boots and the same jeans but a purple flannel shirt that is only half button and tied shut just under her ample chest. She stares into her glass as if contemplating the mysteries of the universe or something.

Turning at Joshua's voice, Blue eyes the man for a moment and then grins and hops over the bar. She goes into the back room and retrieves the coat from the lost and found befoe jumping back over and offering it to him with a pleasant smile. "Here." She doesn't at all blame the guy for the other night. "Still kinda cold out there to be running around without it, yeah?

Joshua Foley has posed:
When the jacket is returned, Joshua's eyes light up, the grey eyes bright for a moment. "Yeah, a little. It's my favorite." he admits as he hugs it to him, and then feels around the pockets for a moment, finding what he was looking for.

"I know you earned a lot of money for the repairs to the bar, and probably more than enough to fix things, and this is a drop in the bucket."

Pulling out a small envelope with three twenties in it, he sets it on the bar. "If you can add this to it though? I'd sappreciate it." he offers soberly, already switching out the lighter jacket for the more padded one.

Blue GhostEyes has posed:
Blue had suspected that, from the scents overlaying the coat and taken care to make sure it was set safely aside. "Sometimes.. the little things still make a big difference." She smiles and takes the money and adds it to the fundraiser proceeds. Not just talking about the money, is she?

"Thank you. I'm sorry your night had to end earlier and you didn't get a chance to blow off some steam and relax."

Tiltling her head to the side she looks Joshua over before an honest grin brightens her face. "It *is* good to see you again."

Joshua Foley has posed:
There's a sudden, firm shake of his head. "That happened, but it didn't happen." Joshua says simply, firmly. "It was a shit show, I got out of line, and I embarassed myself probably as much if not more than Sara."

He says nothing on the other party that was involved in this. "I mean, pretty obvious I'm a mutant. But still, not an excuse. So, I was in the wrong. Simple as that."

"I'm glad that the party went on without me though. Sara shoulda been able to stay. She sounded great on stage and was having a lot of fun."

Blue GhostEyes has posed:
Blue considers. "Well. I'm sure you can think of a way to make it up to her. She wasn't bad up there at all. You want a drink? I'll buy." Something seems to occur to her and she frowns. "I'm not hitting on you. Just.." She sighs. It happened but it didn't happen, eh? She gets that. "I felt maybe.. we had some things in common is all. I know you have a lady. I ain't trying to mess with that or anything."

By the Creator, it is *so* much easier to just work or run as her otherself. Trying to make these personal, human, connections is hard. Much harder than she remembers. She's smooth as all get out when it doesn't matter and isn't important. Why can't she be that way now?

Joshua Foley has posed:
"If you were trying to hit on me, I'd wonder what was wrong with you." Joshua offers with a smirk and a shake of his head. "Glass of ice water. I know, lame, but alcohol doesn't affect me. Another part of this." A wave of his hand, the golden skin there.

"And it doesn't taste right, because I sense the impurities as soon as it hits and yeah." He chuckles. "I spit-took my first beer I had in Britain. Which led me to getting into a bar brawl because it hit a guy and that was a real mess, but hey, at least I kept that from happening here this time!" At least a bit of optimism there.

"So Blue, was it?" he asks. "Native American? One of my best friends is a native American, Danielle Moonstar. Not that I'm suggesting all native Americans are the same. Oh, and Mercy Thompson!"

Blue GhostEyes has posed:
Blue rolls her eyes and gestures for the bartender to get the water. "Huh. That would suck. I heal fast but I can still get drunk at least. I'd prolly go nuts if I couldn't." She smiles at the fact Joshua remembered her name and gets her own refill, her lips quirking. "Not to be a sterotypical drunk Indian but.. I do love my alcohol." She too can taste the impurities but she's well used to that with her otherself's senses. Things aren't the same for her as they are for most. She can eat or drink just about anything without bother.

"I don't.." A sudden sense of unease hits her for some reason that she can't yet determine when Josh mentions his friends names. "I don't think I know either of them. I have memory problems sometimes though." What is it that is prickling her senses? After a moment Blue just shrugs and takes a sip of her drink. She has no idea. "I'm always happy to meet knew people. It's something I'm trying to work on right now. I'm Shoshone but I've got a.." Hm. How to say it.. "A passing familiarity with all of the tribes."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Josh can't help the circles that he's been attached to, both as a mutant and members of two groups. He just gets to learn names. But, he can sense her unease, so off of that topic he goes, easy peasy.

"Well, you have the perfect job for that!" he offers helpfully. "I'm sure you're going to do really well at it, you already seem to have a great personality. And well... you got the drinks, that's always going to loosen tongues."

A draw from his water, and he sets down the glass. "Anyway, got what I needed to do and done with that. I don't want to bother you any further. Thanks for holding my coat for me."

Blue GhostEyes has posed:
Blue smiles. "It really was good to see you. Here." She hands a card to Josh. It has her name, a number and the words C.E. Investigations printed on it. "I meant what I said. I owe you and your lady one. So if you need help or something.. look me up."

She's glad to have met the man again and wishes he was staying awhile but Blue can be very patient when she wants to. She's pretty sure she'll see him again. "I hope you have a pleasant evening Josh." With that Blue gets a refill on her drink, intent on closing down the bar from the opposite side tonight. Tomorrow might suck but.. that is tomorrow's problem.

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Her more than me, I'm sure!" Joshua starts to downplay again as he reaches out to take the card, and his fingers brush against Blue's. And in that moment, there's a small flare of gold and he takes a reading off of her. And it seems all normal, until it isn't. While he doesn't quite grasp the feel of the fae or the shifter yet, he's been around long enough to recognize it. Grey eyes shoot up for just a moment, but he quickly shakes his head.

"You're a private detective too?" he asks, his voice higher for just a moment as he controls that momentary excitment he felt. "That's many hats! I just do healing and the occassional skateboard trick." A grin offered at that. "But I'll let Sara know. Thanks again!"

And with that, he's starting to back up so that he may turn to leave the bar.

Blue GhostEyes has posed:
Huh. Blue wonders what that eye flare was all about but not for long. She's got another bottle of honey whiskey to get through. While she's interested in Sara, having never seen anything like that magic armor, it's Josh that she felt for. He said he died. But he's clearly still alive. That's something Blue knows a lot about. Actually.. "I know a little about a lot of things. But thanks." She laughs and then waves at him as he goes.

Hopefully she doesn't drink so much she has to sleep a bit off in the back. Home is only nine miles but that's farther than it seems when you're seeing double. Ah well. Savoring the drink and the pleasant buzz after the days frustrations, Blue is already drifting away in distant haze as Josh leaves. "I hope we meet again." Blue murmurs and toasts the air.
