A Maximoff Day
Date of Scene: 06 March 2024
Location: Pietro's Room - Avengers Mansion
Synopsis: Wanda and Pietro catch up on explosions around the Manor, Family, and Father.
Cast of Characters: Pietro Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
It was not often that Pietro was found in the manor, now that he was married, but still - there were times that he needed to stop by and check in. Today was one of those days! The speedster was seen blurring through the compound, heading to his reserved room. Once inside, he was taking his time in sorting through personal affects and tidying up. It was good to have a place to fall back to, should things happen.

He had filled a small dorm frige - which he was currently filling with snacks and baby formula.

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
Unlike Pietro Wanda could be said to be normally found at the manor. At least until her room had suffered an 'accident' by the manor being attacked. It means she had needed an alternative but today she was here, looking over the wreck. That wall would need work.. And the window.. The door at least had been replaced already but the rest might take a few days still. She lets out a sight but then something tugs at her conscience. A familiar presence.

Attention turns outside and she walks to the corridor, starting on her way across to where Pietro's room is at, almost unconsciously so.

The door is opened by the Witch and she murmurs a, "Knock, knock." green eyes peering inside.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The connection between siblings is too real - Pietro all but feeling the approaching Wanda. A slight grin as she opens the door and 'knocks'. "It's not a month without an attack on the manor, right?" He comments, looking over to his sister. "I saw your window was missing as I ran by." A slight smile to her.

"Everything is all right? Nothing too drastic?" Pietro asks, turning to give her his full attention. A chair is offered as well, should she want to sit down.

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"Tell me about it." The exasperation in Wanda's voice felt. Yet there's something personal there, as if the attack had been more than a generic one. Not that she goes too deep into it, glancing over her shoulder to the doorway in the direction of her room, "Material things can be replaced though." or at least some of them.

"All is fine." Which her go-to line when she doesn't want Pietro to worry, "I have been spending a few days in Brooklyn. It has good sights." she tells her brother, padding towards that offered chair to settle down.

"And you?" she finally takes stock of what Pietro is up to, "What are you doing with that?" she gestures towards the baby formula.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There's a moment where he studies her face as the exasperation is expressed. A moment for her, an eternity to him. "Material things can, in most instances. There are still precious things that are very difficult to recover or replace, though. We both know that." Things from home, gifts from siblings - all those subtle nuances that tie to items of significance.

Still, he's not going to press - when she wants to share, she will.

"Brooklyn? That is certainly a choice of boroughs to stay in." Pietro offers, wryly. Looking to the formula as she mentions. "Just having some supplies stored here, in case Micola and I need to evacuate the house for safer living arrangements. Sorina and Luminata will need some food and supplies on hand, after all."

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"It's where Clint's place is." Brooklyn. Seems that whatever is going on between those two is more serious than just a fling. Hand goes through her 'mane' of red hair in that kind of a gesture of someone that is not fully comfortable just yet with that kind of relationship. But then again that's nothing new. She lets out a sigh at last and adds, "They stole something of importance, a magical item. But I will find them."

And kill them? She doesn't spell it, but there's an aggression to her tone that is not fully natural.

The talk of Micola and the children does get her expression to soften though, and so does her tone, "How have they been doing? I should visit." she admits.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A nod to his sister. He was clearly away, though he doesn't offer any sort of judgement. She knows that if someone were to hurt them, they would have to deal with Pietro - after Wanda took her vengeance, of course! "If you have need of eyes or such in finding this item, don't hesitate to ask. Micola is a bit magically inclined, though her gifts usually deal more with those who have passed."

A gentle smile when they speak of family. "The girls are good - growing every day. I see it at a snail's pace, but still - it is a breathtaking process. And I lament missing any of it." A slight frown. "You should visit. You can even bring Clint." A wry grin. "We could plan a dinner..." A pause. "Father arrived at the last birthday. It was unexpected."

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"I might." Wanda says about asking for help, "Just like old times, going to adventure together." a faint grin to her expression. She cants her head to the side then asks, "Spirit magic? That could help as well..." hopefully Wanda isn't considering killing someone for that. But she's an Avenger now, right?

"So they have finally made you slow down." Her grin deepens, "Now I truly need to see this miracle. Let's get a dinner soon." as for bringing Clint? "I could bring him.. I am sure he will enjoy a free dinner."

The talk of Father has her pause. She mmms, "Thought he wouldn't come out of the Asteroid anymore. Good to see he hasn't forgotten us." a touch of resentment on her voice.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"He seemed earnest in wanting to make ammends for his absence in our lives, Wanda." Pietro offers over. "As best as can be expected, at the very least. He briefly met Micola and her mother." The man runs fingers through his own white hair. "It was tense. Several of the Avengers were present." A slight shake of his head.

"Slow down, yes. And... given me more patience, to some extent." There's only so much one can do, after all! "And yes, spirit magic. She's a mutant as well - her gifts still don't make all the sense to me, as they seem to be extra-planar. She speaks to ghosts and such." A slight shrug. "She helps with the police on some cold cases."

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"I will believe it when I see it." Wanda says about Magneto, shaking her head slowly. Clearly the resentment still runs deep in the Witch about past grievances, "But at least he's trying. It's a start." she admits.

"Now -that- I don't believe.." She then says, amusedly. What exactly is she talking about? "... You with patience?" she lets out a soft laugh but raises her hands as if stifling retort, "I will make my judgement when I go visit and not before." There. An olive branch.

"That it comes natural to her makes it the more interesting, specially if it's all part of her mutation. But I can talk to her about that when I see her again."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"It seems too good to be true, I admit." He mentions, regarding Erik. "But we have to take small steps foward to ever make the journey we are on." Pietro shrugs. Small steps are agonizing for him, to be sure. "We have changed how we are for the better, right? Surely, he can over time as well."

A chuckle. "Well, you let us know when you wish to come by, and we'll make sure the girls are awake and bright-eyed for their aunt." A wider smile when he calls her an aunt. "It is... very odd. Seeing your gifts, seeing her gifts, it makes me realize there is so much more in the world that I am missing - and I have been everywhere." The bonus for moving so quickly - travel is non-consequential.
