An Arrested Theft
Date of Scene: 22 April 2024
Location: The Bronx Waterfront
Synopsis: June stops a thief who has a briefcase of great worth
Cast of Characters: Frank Noble, June Connor
Tinyplot: Devil in the Details

Frank Noble has posed:
The theft occurred right in front of her eyes. With so much of their efforts restasked on monitoring and seeking for a magically enhanced random insane person, their efforts in other areas had to go low tech. As such, the theft of a high tech briefcase stolen from a courier by a skateboard using young woman might seem harmless but had larger connnoatons that met the obvious eye.

June Connor has posed:
June was on the waterfront, though not with the expectation of anything of such interest catching her eye tonight. She was just leaving one of her low-life friend's waterfront apartments. Hardly the expensive part of town, nobody sends anything legit through this neighborhood. The waterfront apartments here are run down, a stark contrast to what someone might expect to be the case for a waterfront property. She is just about to climb over the iron fence to drop down to the walkway along the water when she spots the skateboarding woman and her quick takedown. She smirks, "Convenient."

Well, it's not really stealing if she's taking it from someone who stole it, right? June for her part waits, watching as the skateboard approaches, and then just as the woman reaches her, she vaults up the fence, clearing it and dropping down, aiming straight for the skateboarder.

Frank Noble has posed:
The skateboarder doesnt notice this aft first but she definitely doeswhen June apears who is succesful at grabbing the briefcase. She was actually in the act of putting a handcuff around her wrist and the briefcase while moving along on the board, which demonstrated quite a bit of skill as did her immediate turn around and redirects herself right at June. She reaches into her pocket to pull something out. Possibly a weapon.

June Connor has posed:
It's hard to stay on your feet when you drop on top of someone, so it wasn't just the skateboarder who went to the ground. June goes sprawling as well, though with the briefcase in hand. "Hey, not nice to steal," she informs the thief. She sees the young woman go for something in her pocket.

She doesn't know what it is, but June isn't about to find out the hard way. She drops the briefcase, moving to tackle the other girl, trying to pin the other girl's hand in her pocket so she can't remove it, while putting her knee her opponent's neck. "Nope," she says, trying choke her out with her knee. "Can't have you doin' that," she says, "Just take a nap, amateur."

Frank Noble has posed:
The young teen is a feisty one but still a teen. She squirms around a lot, trying to reach into her pocket but ends up getting pinned, though not quite in nap territory. "You'll regret this, you have no idea who you are messing with!"

June Connor has posed:
"Yeah yeah," June says non-chalantly, keeping the pressure on. "But that's about par for the course, so..." she gives a shrug, and reaches over with her other hand to pat the kid on the head. June herself is fairly slight in frame, wearing shredded jeans and a loose black tank top.

Frank Noble has posed:
The doesnt stop but isnt a hand to hand expert. She is dressed in a tshirt that shows some 19th century dude and a jean jacket and a skirt. She grunts and seems to be slowly fading.

June Connor has posed:
That's right, bitch," June says, "Just chill. And take it from someone who can't do something smart, get out of this shit before it kills you." She gives the girl a little pat on the cheek as she fades off.
