I'm Not Dead Yet!
Date of Scene: 22 April 2024
Location: Observation Deck - Watchtower
Synopsis: Arisia awakens to a Super welcome!
Cast of Characters: Clark Kent, Arisia Rrab

Clark Kent has posed:
The Justice League Watchtower was quiet. Dark. Cold. The temperature was fine, but it seems empty and devoid of people. The sounds of footfalls approach, steady, and quiet. Almost imperceptible. Moving into the medical bay, a shadow emerges. A pause, as the man's footfalls stop. As though he was looking at the scanners above the biobed. Then moving forward.

Coming into view was a man. Tall. Blue eyes. Dark hair with a strange "curl" of hair on his forehead. The Big "S" on his chest was a revelation for those in the know. Cape. Costume - Blue. Red. Yellow. The man was Superman.

"Hello there." His voice was warm, friendly and inviting. His smile was also warm, and his eyes were a reflection of compassion, warmth, and sincerity. "How are you feeling? We almost lost you there. I am Superman."

Arisia Rrab has posed:
It's been a few hours since the body of the 'space elf' was retrieved, brought into the Watchtower. Nobody has been able to make contact with the Corps to let them know just yet, likely the ones from this sector are off-world dealing with issues of their own and haven't yet returned to find out.

Superman had been the one to help usher in the ships of refugees and civilians before retrieving the body. A grim duty, but one occasionally required. She'd been handled with care, left in an empty conference room for lack of a better space. Now it's just a waiting game for someone to come claim her.

At least.. that's the expectation.

Instead, those sharp ears of his will detect the distinct sound of a sharp gasp coming from the room Arisia had been left in. Some muffled shuffling about before a pained groan is accompanied by feet hitting the floor. What's known about her kind? THey don't... become zombies..... do they?

No, as it turns out! But one Arisia Rrab does exit the room slowly, one arm wrapped around ribs that ache, looking a bit worse for the wear... but alive. The burst capillaries, the frost crystals, most of the damage done from the exposure to space.. seems to have healed. She's not in perfect condition, but she'll live.

The sight of Superman there to greet her has her straightening up suddenly, then hissing and tightening the hold on her ribs with a wince. "Arisia Rrab. And you did. Graxonites are... just a little different. Though I'd hoped I'd never have to find out how that worked, exactly." She clears her throat, "Ah, apologies. I'll be alright when I can return to Earth and recharge the ring. I'm afraid the trip out drained it. The refugees. The civilians. They made it?"

Clark Kent has posed:
"It is okay! You are safe!" Superman sees her anguish and responds appropriately. His eyes look at her holding her ribs, and he uses his Xray Vision to take a quick look. "Your ribs are fine. They are healing. It will take time, but you will be okay." A nod and another warm smile. "Graxonite...recharge the ring...are you a Green Lantern? I can contact our Green Lanterns here on Earth. Hal Jordan and John Stewart come to mind. They can be here in a moment if you need them?"

Superman pauses a moment at the next questions. "The refugees ad civilians are okay. Those that survived their ordeal. I have been working for hours to ensure they are okay. Most of them are being taken care of in our Watchtower overseen by other members of the Justice League. You can relax. Your job is done. You are a hero...?" He was fishing for her name.

Arisia Rrab has posed:
"I'll heal as soon as I can recharge my ring. Really, it will be fine, but thank you for your concern," Arisia offers a brief smile before giving a nod. She lifts her free hand to show the (currently) dull green ring on one finger. "Arisia Rrab, Green Lantern for Sector 2815. I have been temporarily assigned to Earth for final training, and while we determine the cause of and deal with the mass extermination of so many of our number."

Shaking her head, she offers, "If I can get transportation back to Metropolis, I will be fine. I can recharge the ring and heal myself. If they have not responded yet, it is because they are busy." She smiles faintly and nods, "We managed to get most of them onto the ships and to the Watchtower here. Just two that.. couldn't make it under their own power." Chuckling softly, Arisia smiles faintly at him, "Thank you, but I am not a hero, and my job has only begun. If they arrived here safely, then that is good. But it seems like you all have some deeper issues to deal with. Your own governments are using force aagainst a civilian population in an effort to capture and detain a group of alien refugees. People who have lost their homes, their families.. who came to Earth seeking aid and understanding. I'm not certain if they're quite aware of how this will make Earth look to the rest of the universe.."

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman moves to the side, takes a last look at the readings on the wall, and then turns back to Arisia. "I understand. All you Lanterns are the same." Superman actually chuckles as he nods towards her ring revelation. "Arisia. Nice to meet you. Welcome to..." Superman thinks. "...Sector 2814. Ah. A rookie." Superman nods solemnly.

Metropolis is possible. We have transporters for that. "Superman places his hands behind his back. "You are a hero lass." He says. "As for the rest, it is politics. I don't interfere. People choose as they will. I am here to make sure everyone is safe, and protected as best I can."

"You are welcome to check in on the people you rescued and have free reign of the Watchtower as my guest. If you need anything at all, please let me know. There are comm panels throughout the station." Superman points out the panels for her use. "If you want to go down to Earth, just let me know. You are free to go where you will."

Arisia Rrab has posed:
"A legacy. Rrab's have been the Lanterns for Sector 2815 for generations. My uncle Blish Rrab died in the massive battle that took place a few weeks ago." Arisia corrects gently, glancing out the viewing windows, then back. "But thank you."

She lifts a brow at him and murmurs, "It isn't politics when a handful of world governments are willing to let human civilians *die* so they can take control of a port and unlawfully detain refugees. Or does Earth no longer support the pursuit of life, liberty, and justice? If so, I will petition the Guardians to have Earth reclassified as a hostile planet, and perhaps the Corps can help to rehome the alien refugees. Because right now, they are very much not welcome on Earth."

She straightens, "I'll return to Metropolis, recharge my ring, then I need to set up a meeting with Princess Diana to determine the next moves."

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman turns back to face Arisia once more, and nods solemnly. "I can understand generational legacy. I myself suffer that blessing as a Son of the House of El. We are heroes, and have a legacy to be a part of which makes it all that much harder, Arisia of the House of Rrab."

Hearing her tale, Superman salutes her in the El way. "I salute your uncle, and welcome you into the Legacy of Hero." Superman smiles sadly. "You are welcome."

Sadly Superman continues. "As for Politicis, I cannot argue against what you are saying. Things happen, but we all, as sentient beings, sometimes make bad decisions. Those of us with power and responsibility mst try to show those who make these bad decisions the right way by leading by example. I hope you understand."

"Welcome to Earth!" Superman cuts through the meancholy. "Diana is a great contact! Return to Metropolis and give my regards to Wonder Woman. If you need my help, please send me a message and I will endeavour to be there!"
