Bringing the Thunder!
Date of Scene: 06 May 2024
Location: Brooklyn
Synopsis: A couple of siblings bring down the house!
Cast of Characters: Billy Batson, Mary Bromfield

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam had a slow week after meeting Divine. He helped a fire company here, ended a chase there, laid the lightning down on some Purifier guys. So when the construction outfit he'd helped clean up after his brawl with the Juggernaut phoned Billy to contact Shazam he was quite interested. Louie the foreman says almost apologetically, "The wrecking ball is on the fritz, can't get a repairman out here and this building has to come down. Could you help us out?"

Shazam takes a slurp from his straw and says, "I got it, guys, for old times sake! Here hold my smoothie!" He had detoured to his apartment and got the hardhat they always made him wear for insurance purposes. For the millionth time he regrets the arm guards that keep him from rolling up his sleeve. then he sees a familiar face. Well her penthouse is pretty close.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt was flying around, taking a bit of a break after fighting kaiju and the like. She grins a bit, seeing Shazam hovering around with the construction crew, and changes course to fly down, "Hey bro, what's up?" She hovers in midair, looking over at the building, then she notices the hardhat.

"Wait, they still make you wear the hardhat? Going to do some demo work?" She sounds a bit amused, tilting her head at Shazam with a wry expression.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam nods and smiles, "Gotta wear the hat. Insurance reasons. I guess they're scared I'll lose my powers and get clonked on the head." He gives her a side hug and introduces Louie to Thunderbolt.

"Nice ta meet ya, Thunderbolt. Pretty obvious who got the looks in your family. I got another hat if you want to help. Well it'd at least keep your hair clean." He holds up a hard hat.

Shazam indicates his hat and the lightning bolt on it. "You gotta draw your own emblem. One of the guys has a Chaos emblem."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt snorts at that, "I'll think of something, but sure, I'll take the hat." She flies down towards Louie, taking the helmet with a cheerful grin, "Customization can come later, I might just put a tarot card on there." Because hey, it's her girlfriend's whole thing. And with that, she takes off and rejoins Shazam in the air.

"So, what's the plan. Looking at the building, seems like there's some weak spots we could hit and make it go a lot easier. And make sure it doesn't cause too much collateral damage going down."

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam leans close and says, "I say, we start at the top and have a little brawl. That'll probably pancake the whole thing. Come get me!" Then he is a streak to the men on the ground flying into the top floor through a wall. Heheheheheheh!

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt sighs, shaking her head a bit, then she launches into the air, chasing Shazam for that brawl... or at least, that's what he /thinks/.

She's also making sure to connect with those aforementioned weak points, so the thing comes down in the optimal way. With that, she surfaces on the roof, grabbing a chimneyand lobbing it at Shazam, "Careful bro, you'll go up... in smoke!"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam tanks the chimney, feels it shatter against him. Then notices the building shaking. "Awww man, we could have stretched this out a little and given the guys a show. A girder is jutting out of the collapsing first floor. He grabs it and brings it across Thunderbolt's torso. This is fun. He hasn't had a brawl in a while. Wha-bang! It does feel a little odd goofing around with Mary. Freddy should be here. "Better steel yourself for this, sis."

Down below the crew is screaming encouragement for whoever they're betting on.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt is a streamer and an entertainer at heart, she's not going to stop the show. "Hey, no reason we can't do both..." She flies back and around, crashing into the building, before she says, "You know, I /always/ wanted to do this..."

And that's when a literal kitchen sink is flying right at Shazam's head!

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam throws a bolt of lightning at the sink, which explodes. The siblings are peppered with white hot fragments, which do nothing. "Come get me!" He flies through the roof, cape unfurled, and a couple more floors like they were tissue paper, then moves away from the tunnel he created. Hide and seek!

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt makes a face at the lightning, "Loss of style points, bro!" With that, she dives into the building, and concentrates a little bit. If she were Billy, what would she do... aside from what she's currently doing.

So, she actually does something a bit different. That is to say... she takes the stairs, moving somewhat quietly until she can find Shazam's hiding spot.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam pulls his phone and texts, "Lightning is very stylish. You just aren't good at it!" He adds a facetime pic of himself looking relaxed sitting in a windowsill. He immediately flies down the side of the building into the smoke below and finds a floor above the pancaking effect. She did do a good job on the building he has to admit.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
And that's when Thunderbolt's hand punches out of the side of the building, grabbing Shazam by the cape, "Or maybe there's only one person silly enough to have an electrical power source in a condemned building!" She then yeets Shazam back into the building, lobbing him through a couple abandoned apartments along the way.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam laughs as he's hurlled through walls. "Yeah, between our magic sense and electrokinesis we can find each other! throwing him around was a little too handsy for his taste. He stops his trajectory. Peers through the dust and then rips the floor up, giving a good flip! "Take that!" She's lucky she didn't break his phone is all.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt flies up into the ceiling, then decides to just go /through/ the ceiling, accepting the momentum of the hit as she then flies on one floor above, looking for an advantage...

So she zips over, punching down through the floor near Shazam...

And that's when a steel rebar flies at Shazam from out of a nearby closet. "Thought I was overdue for coming out!" She grins, then punches through the floor, destabilizing this level of the building and making Shazam do the chase.

Billy Batson has posed:
Doh-oing! Shazam grabs the rebar as it bounces of his head, with both hands, then bite it in half spitting out the mouthful of steel. He flies after Thunderbolt, tries to grab her by the cape and throws her up and away from him. This is about the point where several floors continue the pancake, dropping upon his suddenly and knocking the breath from him. "Sis! Are you okay?" He pushes agains the weight, trying to get room to move.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt is actually tossed clear for a moment, then she blinks, "I'm right here bro, I'm on the way!" With that, she launches back in, getting the debris up off of Shazam with sudden speed, "You alright there?" She goes from silly to serious even faster than Billy had that weight fall on him.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam breaks free of the last of the debris and pulls Thunderbolt out of the rapidly collapsing building. The rest of the building is quickly coming down. Hidden by the dust he gives Mary a hug. I thought I was going to land on you. Thanks for the assist in there. Whew. That was fun! Last workout I got was with Juggernaut. He doesn't play nice though."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt chuckles, "Well, I just talked with him and he seemed okay. For like, a villain and stuff." She gives Shazam a hug, then laughs, "That was fun to cut loose a bit, yeah. Plus I got to try out some new ideas for fighting like that." She waves cheerily towards the construction (or destruction, in this case) crew, keeping the helmet as she flies up towards the sky, "Catch you later!"
