Cast of Characters: Rhona Lauren, Remy LeBeau

Rhona Lauren has posed:
Rhona was sure she'd made a fool out of herself the other night. So much so, that she had not sent a text to Remy's phone since. She didn't want to come off as stranger than she already had, thus she'd been 'radio silent' since her mistaken over-enjoyment of the gifted whiskey. She'd also had a killer headache for at least a whole day afterward.

Today, however, she'd gone back to her usual weekend routine. A lot of archery to calm her nerves, followed by coming back to the house to get something to drink, and now? Now she's in the garage, with her car...

She has a fancy EV car, one of those ultra expensive ones that drives itself... her parents giving her that stipend to stay away from their home in London. It's an odd arrangement, but one that benefits the young woman quite a lot, giving her a freedom to do as she pleases in the moment while all the way over here in the States.

Her car, a deep red hue, is in perfect shape on the outside. The interior is another question at the moment. All the doors are open, four doors in total, with some music playing inside, and Rhona's jeans-covered but sticking out of it as she is filling up a bag with empty cups, and papers from her trips between Westchester and Manhattan.

Some of that 90s alternative rock she'd mentioned is playing on her car speakers, as she has one knee up on the back seat, and the plastic bag hanging from her left wrist as she scoops junk up to toss it away!

Remy LeBeau has posed:
One of the perks about working as security for Xavier's, and the X-Men, is that you have a network of all these sensors and cameras that cover the entirety of the grounds. Unless you are really invisible the chances are that someone will be able to find you, and that is only if they aren't using the thermal imaging.Remy hasn't heard from Rhona since he pretty much carried her back to her room and dropped her off with her roommate, and when he saw the young woman heading to the garage on the monitors decided that he would pop in an check on her.

Quiet, like the thief he is, Remy makes his way into the garage and leans his shoulder against the door jamb. He's dressed much like normal when he is not on a mission, jeans and a faded t-shirt that has a barely-there logo on the front for the New Orleans Saints.

He watches for a slight moment, amused by the view, before he clears his throat and says, "You know, chere, if one clears out their vehicle on the regular that kind pile doesn't build up."

Rhona Lauren has posed:
The voice from the Cajun carries over the music inside her car's cab, as the songs were transitioning right as he'd spoke. It causes her to freeze for a second, before she drew back out of the car, and bumped the back of her head on the top of the open back seat doorframe. She is forced to wince at the pain of it, but fights it off rather quickly as she stands up, turns around, to see him standing there. She's wide-eyed for a second, wearing a white t-shirt with a picture of the Always Sunny cast as Mount Rushmore on her chest, blue jeans with holes in the knees, and black and white sneakers on her feet. "Remy." She says, looking unsure of how she felt about him being there so suddenly, before she flashed a smile, and began to scurry over to the large trash bin a few steps away from her car. "Do not judge me, I've been busy!" She says back to him, in that hoity-toity British accent. "It's stressful driving in and out of Manhattan, you know, let alone finding parking once you're there. By the time I make it back, I kind of just want to get as far away from my car as possible."

The plastic bag is dropped in to the bin, and the young woman turns to face him fully, her lithe frame aimed his way, as she folds her arms over her stomach, rumpling her shirt up against her form.

"I'm sorry about the other night. That stuff, really did hit me hard. I, uh... I guess I don't quite handle my liquor like a 'pro', as it were. Maybe worse than an amateur, even... But Marisole said you showed up with me over an arm, and were very gentlemanly about it."

She let a smirk bounce off her facial features, before she stepped over to him to lean up to give HIM a cheek kiss, much as she'd seen he had in the photo they'd taken. "So, thanks for looking out for me." She says, a warm smile shown for him now.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
He can't help the chuckle that comes forth from his lips when the young woman starts and ends up bumping her head. It does cause him to make a bit of a wincing face, but the soft chuckle continues. "That's why I ride a bike when I go to the city," he explains. "Easier to deal with the traffic of Manhattan and find parking." He cocks his head, "You do remember to drive on the right side of the road, oui?" His smile widens into a full grin, showing teeth as his tone gets even lighter, "How many times have you tried to drive on the left?"

He pushes off the wall and starts to make his way over, "Need help?"

He smirks, shaking his head. "Nothing to apologize for, petite. If any one needs to do it, it's probably me for not warning you what was in the mug. Remy just didn't expect you to go gulping it down." He smiles at the kiss to the cheek, "My pleasure. Also kind of in my job description, but even if it wasn't did you think I would just leave you there? Non, chere. Of course I take you home. Just glad you feeling ok."

Rhona Lauren has posed:
"Well, it's still very sweet of you." The brunette responds, before she smiles softly again, and pulls her eyes away to glance toward her car. "I'm feeling better today, than I was yesterday. I did a bit of archery, which is like... I don't know, yoga for my mind, I guess." She slips back over to her car, grabbing her phone off of the hood to utilize the app to dial the volume on the music down a bit. When she looks back up at him, she's got a sparkling expression of amusement on her expressive eyes. "Hey. We drive on the proper side of the road, the side that allows you to draw your weapon from your horse saddle, and have it ready to swipe at your enemies."

She's grinning at this, before shaking her head from side to side, causing the long dark ponytail to sway behind her shoulders. She raises her left hand up from her phone, displaying her finger. "Only have I driven on the proper side once, here. And thankfully I avoided killing anyone... like that famous guy did back in like the 80s..." Mathew Brodderick. What a story.

"But, yes. Could you wheel the vacuum cleaner over here?" She asks, motioning toward it by the workbench to Remy's right. "I was going to clean up my car, and maybe catch a drive-in movie tonight. They were showing that Dune part two, which I never got around to seeing when it came out."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Of course," Remy responds with a nod as he shifts direction over to grab the vacuum cleaner and bring it over. He glances over at Rhona and laughs, "I should have laid money down that you did it at least once." He wheels the vacuum over and places it next to the door of the car. Without asking, he turns it on and starts to help by taking it to the interior. It's his turn to bend over and have his denimed ass hanging out.

"That's another one I haven't seen. Well, I did see the old one. With that guy from that one weird TV show. Dual Mountains or something? I just remember it being a bit out there."

He continues to vacuum as he talks, trying to make sure he gets all the grime off the floor and seats. "Going to take Marisole?"

Rhona Lauren has posed:
Rhona deposits her phone back upon the top of her car, while Remy gets the vacuum in place. She sees him firing it up, to take charge of the work too. "Oh, you don't have to--" But he already is. She stammers a bit, stops moving forward, and simply folds her arms across her stomach again, watching him. She gets her butt view now, and doesn't seem to be ashamed of enjoying it, even if she tries to be equally shifting her eyes from butt to his face inside the car.

"Well... I got tickets for Mari and I, yeah. But she's having problems with her boyfriend, and I think they were going to go in to Salem Center to spend time at the park together. He goes to school there in Salem Center, he's..." She softly shakes her head at the mere thought of him. "I don't like him. He smells like wax, and cheese.."

Remy will feel the tip of her shoe touch the back of his leg. "I was going to text you about going, but then thought... Nah. If he hasn't seen the Lord of the Rings, there is no way in Hell he's seen the first half of the new Dune films... But, you are welcome to come. I just... I doubt you'd have any idea what is happening."

She smirks toward him, as she leans back on her open driver's side door. "Thanks for the help, too. I really do appreciate it. My back was starting to scream at me."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
He continues to vacuum up the interior of the car, looking over his shoulder every once in a while as she speaks, or as he replies to her. "I'm not doing anything tonight. I'm not on duty. Amara and I went out last night to go crash a poker game and hit Lux for some drinks and some dancing, so something less strenuous could be just what I need."

He finishes the front seat on the one side, and moves to the back seat. "You're right, I didn't see the first half of the new one, but I don't mind just going for the company. Keeps me out of trouble. Besides, I can just munch on popcorn and be happy."

"Wax and cheese, huh?" He snickers. "Tell me how you really feel?"

Rhona Lauren has posed:
Rhona's brown eyes remain upon him as he continues to clean up, and a smile shows on her lips as he seems in to the idea of going. "Really?" She says. "You're sure?" She pauses for a second, before reaching for her phone. "I mean, technically, I could get part one going on my phone, and by the time the thing starts you might have a decent rundown of some of the major elements. It's like a twenty minute drive to the place, and obviously all the sitting around waiting through the previews, and such."

She looks back toward him, and shows another quick smile. "Certainly not as extravagant as a night like you had previously, but... Hey. I'll buy the snacks and drinks. Honestly, I was worried about being there by myself. I thought I'd look a little strange..."

"We got a bit before we should head out, if you need some time to get anything from inside." She states, as she lowers her phone again, glancing toward the doors in to the house where a couple of students emerge from it, eyeing the pair of them as they head for the sports equipment storage cabinets.

When she looks back toward Remy, she's smirking softly. "I think it'll be fun. If nothing else, I can explain the finer details during it, too."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Yeah, I'm sure. I mean as long as it follows the same basic plot of the other one I did see, I should be able to keep up, right? Spice planet, king is betrayed, kid goes off into desert and becomes some kind of messiah." Remy says as he tries to remember the plot from the old David Lynch version. "Giant worms too, right?" He shrugs and climbs more into the car to work on the backseat with the vacuum.

"Chere, you don't have to pay for me. I made enough last night that I'd feel bad making you shell out your cash on me. Let me buy the refreshments. I promise, no more whiskey." He glances back with a grin.

"When I'm done here, let me go grab a shower and change. Meet you back here in about...half an hour? That work?"

Rhona Lauren has posed:
What he says to her has her beam a smile back at him. She just softly shakes her head, but relents. "Fine. Chivalry isn't dead afterall." She playfully fires back to him. "I'm just about ready, really. I had a shower after I got back from the archery range, and had planned on just getting the car cleaned up, and heading out."

She moves to gather a few more items up out of the seat of her vehicle, a lint roller, and her sunglasses. She pops the lint roller in to the space between the seats, and her sunglasses up to hang from the sun shade.

"It sounds like you're far better versed i nthe plot than I would've guessed." She fires back at him, "And here I thought you were one of those handsome men that had not a shred of nerd in you. Look at me, wrong again." She says to him over the back of her seat, beaming him that same smile. "I'll be here when you're all ready to go."

She looks genuinely happy now, even excited.

Those two kids walk past the back of the car, bouncing a basketball, both of them glaring at the two i nthe car, because that's what annoying kids do best.
