Date of Scene: 26 May 2020
Location: Brooklyn
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Tyrone Johnson, Tandy Bowen

Tyrone Johnson has posed:
After all of that on the street, Tyrone withdrew into the church where he finds himself sitting in a pew as Tandy returns to the church. He doesn't say a word, but there are those unspoken words that Tandy can likely hear still. For his part, he appears to be praying, or maybe his head is bowed to count to one hundred to keep his cool... or maybe he's tired.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Quiet steps announce her return as Tandy picks a path around tumbled down bricks. Sliding into the pew next to Tyrone she contemplates the one window left in the chancel above the altar, her eyes sliding to look at him before returning to the window. She absently draws a pattern in the dust of the pew in front of them, unwilling to start what she knows will be an uncomfortable conversation.

He was right about the way she was acting and she was wrong. Sometimes its hard to admit to wrongdoing unless she is sure that she's done something that hurts his feelings. Another glance confirms what she feels.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why the guy just made me angry. Really. He is part of Marksman Industries." She stares intently at the doodles she's made in the dust.

Tyrone Johnson has posed:
"Tandy, it is not me whom you may have offended. I am your friend, not your father. So I cannot tell you what to do. I -can- tell you that drawing attention to us or to this church in any way is dangerous to us. So perhaps now he will remember you and this place more than if you'd just told him what he wanted to know and politely let him go about his business."
That said, he reaches a hand that he forces solid over to grip your wrist. "Don't apologize to me Tandy. We are stronger together than apart. I could not hold that against you. I just hope that you will think about it in the future."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Gripping his wrist in turn, she grimaces and nods. "Totally. Totally right. What was it about him that riled me so much?" Her blond head turns lit brightly by a ray of light through the broken roof. "Did he seem strange to you?"

Tyrone Johnson has posed:
"He... did not seem strange to me." offers Tyrone. He pauses to gather his thoughts. "I think that you and I have been out of sorts since that gem hurt us. I have not felt pain such as that since becoming..." and he looks down at himself. "Perhaps you were angry at -that- and took it out on him?" he asks softly.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Muttering to herself, "Well, I think he was strange. I mean it. Really different but I don't know how."

Head back she stares at the stained glass window for a few moments before she eyes Tyrone. She takes a long breath nodding. "It hurt as badly as that. Maybe more in a way. What was that in his hand? What did that man do to it?" She shifts, uncomfortable at the unknown. "SHIELD. Who knew?"

Tyrone Johnson has posed:
"I had no idea. Apparently, from what I gather, our target was on their watch list. We were lucky that they had operatives on site. Even more lucky that the operative on site had that sword. It was weird..." Tyrone thinks back, closing his eyes. "The blade felt like... familiar. I don't understand it. The hunger in me craved that sword. That's all I know. But I think it is a good thing that it didn't get it."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
"I thought SHIELD would be breathing down our necks. I wonder if they talked to the Detective?"

She watches Tyrone think in silence. "Do you want to talk to the guy who had the sword? There is that and then what were you saying about checking things out before we go into something?"

Tyrone Johnson has posed:
Another long pause as he thinks, but Ty opens his eyes and turns his head slowly your way, "I cannot say why they did not impose upon us. But I think that I would like to speak with the man." In truth, there's no indication anywhere that the Ebony Blade and the Darkforce are linked, but it sounds awesome in a tangental way!

Tandy Bowen has posed:
"Well do you want detective Brigid to contact them maybe?" She shares his gaze, eyebrows raised in question. "You're right about us needing to be more careful. That was some heavy crap. I thought we were going under. I couldn't fight it either."

Tyrone Johnson has posed:
"I felt like... like I was failing the only person in the world who matters to me. Like I had gotten you killed." offers Tyrone in -very- soft tones. "And I worry that in the future, I -will- get you hurt or worse."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Her face crumples into sadness, worry pinched between her eyebrows, mouth a straight line. It's Tandy's turn to reach for him.

"Stop that, stop that right now. You're not my keeper but my partner. Right? We are working for each other. So nobody failed anybody. We *both* went under that thing in his hand. That was some heavy stuff and those SHIELD people know what it was."
