- Selene Corvinus has posed:
A sultry summer night.
Elektra, and Selene, had been tracking one of Kraven's lieutenants, after Selene had watched him arrive in Gotham City off of a Semira cargo ship. Selene had run in to Gotham's Nightwing on that same night, but they had a rather pleasant conversation, before parting ways. She had laid out the basics of her mission, and that she'd worked with members of the Bat-family before.
When she had spotted this man, Gunther, Selene had set off to track him. She'd watched him settle in to the city's life, following him for several nights. She watched him delve right in to debaucherous behaviors, between deals that she assumed would eventually lead back to Kraven.
Tonight was the night they figured that, however. Elektra had been brought in to help cover Selene's ass, as she had gone for the grab.
And grab she had.
In an old warehouse, Selene threw Gunther through a wall. The wall came crashing down behind him, with a disloged support beam crashing down upon the Vampire's chest. He groaned loudly from it all, as Selene swept in through the gap in the wall, her long leather coat whipping in the summer wind rolling through the alley they just clashed within.
Selene walked toward Gunther, pulling her right thigh holster pistol from its home, and aimed it down at Gunther's strained face, as her right boot went to press down on the beam across his body, pinning him down.
As she stood like this, her leather bodysuit creaking against the flex of her body inside it, Selene eyed a former ally.
"Selene!" Gunther groaned. "Damnit, woman, what are you doing?!" He cried out, barely able to speak through the pain.
- Elektra Natchios has posed:
With the call to help capture one of Kraven's lieutenants Elektra hadn't failed in answering the call, the dark clad assassin flanking from the man's other side as the duo approaches.
Tonight she is dressed with the outfit Batgirl had provided her with. Midnight black, sinfully clinging to all the curves on the assassin's body and making her look more like a wraith than human, a shadow in the way that the suit itself absorbed the surrounding light immediately around it, casting Elektra further in the shadows.
She approaches in an almost languid manner, hand on the Sai at her belt, dark eyes with no pity for Gunther as more and more they close in on him. Their prey.
"Surprised to see her..?" She whispers with no little amusement to her voice, folding her arms together.
- Selene Corvinus has posed:
Gunther was a bald man, with blue eyes, and a fairly stout frame. He was a man of leisure, decadence, Selene had described him as. He was a man that would choose her side of this war, if he felt it was the winning side. But since he did not feel it was the winning side, well... he had made his choice.
Selene stood over him, her pistol aimed right down at his nose, as she heard Elektra speak. She pressed a little more weight down upon the beam across his chest, causing him to groan a bit more in discomfort at what it caused to his body beneath.
"Don't be foolish." He grunted, his pudgey fingers wrapping around the edge of the board, as he was at least trying to keep it from crushing his ribs, but Selene was stronger than him, and this alone surprised him. Had she gotten more powerful since she'd last interacted with him? He wasn't sure... But she looked different, that much he did know.
"What have you done, Selene?" He asked, as she gave him a bit more room to breathe. "Viktor is looking for you, girl. He wants you to come home with us. That's... that's why I'm here. I'm supposed to bring your ass back home."
"Is that what you're here for?" Selene asked, her sultry voice smooth, silk smooth. She shifted the gun very slightly. "Why don't you tell me the truth?" She asked him. "Unless you'd rather this be your last night of hookers, and blow?"
The man started laughing, strained laughs. "Selene... damnit. You're not going to kill me. I've known you since you were a little fresh faced fanger. We're practically family."
Selene pushed down harder on the beam with her black leather booted foot. "Family?" She asked him. "you tried bedding me in the first week I was turned. If Viktor hadn't caught you, and nearly beat you to death, I might have myself... if not for having enough to deal with at the time. maybe I should make up for that, all these years later?"
The man continued to chuckle, as something popped, and he let out a groan of pain. "My fucking ribs, Selene. Let up!"
- Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra remains stoic throughout the interaction between Selene and Gunther, even when it's revealed that he had tried to abuse Selene when she had just been turned. Centuries ago. It was somewhat surprising that this vampire was so old. Powerful. And yet now here he was under Selene's control. How strong had she become?
Elektra spares a glance to Selene for a few, then back to him, "I am not family." she points out, dryly.
"I have no problem killing you." A glance at Selene, "If she wishes it so." fingertips wrapping around the hilt of a Sai, casual, voice even. Meant to intimidate. For all that vampires are immortal when faced with the possibility that they can be destroyed she has learned they quickly understand there is only one way out. Cooperate, or else.
"Ponder wisely on your next words." she warns.
- Selene Corvinus has posed:
The politics of the vampire covens was a game not worth playing. Selene had always tried to keep herself out of it, but it was challenging. Once she had resolved herself to her new life, all those centuries ago, she'd at first embraced it. She'd been a kid when she'd been turned, and kids were susceptible to embracing something of this ilk. But it hadn't taken her long to realize that the burden of dealing with the covern's inner politics, was simply not worth the trouble it came with.
Gunther was never high in those politics. He was an idiot. But he was a useful idiot, at leat in Kraven's mind. He had a silver tongue, and related well to Humans. He talked his way out of being staked a number of times in his life, even getting Humans to vouch for him. He had been responsible for a number of trade deals established with Humans that would have normally just been openly hostile. Idiot or not, that skill had kept him alive a long time.
He was the negotiator, and thus it was no wonder they'd sent him here to find her. To convince her to come back.
Selene was perfectly willing to let Elektra dust the man too, but not quite yet. "I want to know where Kraven is." She told Gunther, who was still reacting to a cracked rib from the old wooden beam.
"Kr-Kraven??" He groaned out. "Why do you care about him, it is Viktor you need to worry about!" He sputtered, spittle shooting from his wet lips, as he was bearing the pain. "viktor is who you need to worry about, Selene. Viktor is only giving you this last chance, to come home, with me. I fought for this, for you. Because I value you, you dumb bitch!"
It might be a bad idea to call her that, but he was a strange negotiator, and she and he had always had a strange relationship.
"Ah ah ah... my friend here doesn't like that kind of language." She warned him, with a shake of her head, her black and brown hair waving gently against the sides of her face. "Speak up. Tell me what I want, and we'll talk about what you want." She said, voice even in tone.
A few seconds went byy, the Vampire grunting in pain. "Alright, alright--"
A second ticked by, and Selene spun around. She removed her foot from the board, and aimed her gun back the way they had come.
A massive Vampire bat swept in through the open wall, coming in from the alleyway. With blazing red eyes, its huge wings spread apart, its fangs dripping saliva, as it flew toward the two women, and Selene opened fire...
- Elektra Natchios has posed:
"She truly does not." Elektra murmurs in agreement of her displeasure to the language being used by Gunther. And to punctuate just that she finally draws out her Sai, it shining in the moonlight, taking a step forward. Someone has to be the bad cop here after all.
Though as they finally seem to be getting to a good point in the interrogation is when that vampiric bat comes barging in, immediately that sense of danger inside the warehouse. Elektra moves by instinct, rolling on the floor and away from the creature as the Sai she has in hand is tossed towards the creature, spinning through the air.
