Cast of Characters: Monet St. Croix, Alison Blaire

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Tonight, Monet is being made to sit and watch some of the younger students that have been setup in the arcade. Some older machines from someone's collection have been set out, and currently a group of the younger students of Xavier's are trying to play their way through a series of fighting games and sidescrollers. Many of which are from Konami, and that is engaging the.. Difficulties that games of such legendary material showcase.

So, what's normally fun is being mixed with a high degree of frustration over from the studetns and some sulking as a combination of 'too hard' and 'too prideful to give up' mix. Monet almost seems a bit smug at events and the children not making their normal chaotic calamity

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire sneaks into the arcade from the hallway to continue her phone call but finds the place a bussle of activity. She puts a finger in her ear as she says, "Yeah yeah! I hear you!" she lets out, as some students walk by in front of her to go play some super mega complicated arcade game she's never heard of. "Yeah, I'll call you back! Yeah okay! OKAY see ya!" she says over her cell phone.

Alison is dressed casually, in her jeans and glances around confusedly as if wondering why she's here. She sees Monet in the midst of the student collage and she waves at her, "Hey Monet! Hey!" she lets as the bleeps and blips of the latest game go off, "Where's Frogger?" she asks. Some student nearby rolls her eyes and laughs at Alison.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would just turn to glance over at Alison, and then go to let out a sigh, before she would school her expression back to it's normalcy. "I don't quite believe you're old enough to have played that particular game." Or seen teh ep of Seinfeld that was the frame of reference for most people.

"Are you here to join us?" Gesturing over at the studetnst hat seemed about to give up from the extra hard 'classic' games and move back to the more normal ad fun ones. "OR just wandering?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire walks over to Monet to continue the conversation and hmms, "Yeah, you're right, I heard about it though, and I like everything vintage," she explains. She wears fashionable bell bottom jeans. She looks at one of the students hurrying over to one of the new games.

"I was just ... in the neighborhood. Is it your turn to babysit? I mean, chaperone?" Alison wonders.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would let out a sigh, "Yes, staff seems trying to rotate about who is helping entertain the students." Monet wasn't staff or on the faculty, and clearly was not happy with it, not that one could tell by her face or presentation. She understood the necessity of it, however, with the holidays coming and many of the studetns having nowhere to go.

"I thought that games would be entertaining.." But seemingly not!

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire looks conceredly at Monet for she is not getting enough entertainment, "Are you okay? Luckily, it's not Saturday night. Are there always arcade nights on a Friday?" she wonders.

"I don't really follow arcade games," Alison explains, "I know a few of them but I haven't played video games in a long time. I don't seem to have the time like I used to."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shrug, "I presumed that if there were they would be more under the auspices of Ms. Lee. Speaking of events on Saturday Night, will you be performing?" The Fiftieth Anniversary of Saturday Night Live special. That had most of the cast returning that wasn't dead or under restraining orders.

"They're made to be played in five to seven minute segments of bright, flashy lights. I find them far from entertaining."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire ohs, "Well not tomorrow. I got a meeting in the morning, then I'm doing the halftime show for the Giants at one a' clock on Sunday," she explains, "It's totally not a full concert but I'm singing Outer Space Funk and another song," she explains.

"Yeah, they totally save on pyro when I'm around. And you'd think I'd be like obsessed with arcades with all the noise and flashy lights. I guess it's okay. I'm just not very good at mashing buttons."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would sigh, "And hopefully you avoid Ms. Lee's penchant to blow them up while doing so." TEchnically Jubilee did not do that and likely never had done such a thing, but it was of course like M to try and needle at the other girl whenever possible. "It sounds like your performances are quite eventful then. I can grasp not quite having the time for other pursuits."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire messes with her hair as she says, "Yeah sorry about that. I missed Thanksgiving cause I was giving a concert," she explains, "Most people have a lot of free time during the holidays so that's when all the entertainment crap takes place. It wears me out. But at least I can come back here and zonk out on the couch," she adds. $r
"I had a couple days off at least. I caught up with a few people but I didn't see you around until like just now," she explains.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shake her head, "You have nothing to apologize to me for. It is merely an American tradition focused around gorging. I don't find it particularly appealing but I can understand the reasonings for it, and note that many other countries have equivalents of it. And I would hardly call the couch comfortable." She would quip.

"Very well, we are both here now, so what do you wish to discuss?" She would deadpan - or at least attempt to

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire twists some of her hair around her finger and looks uncomfortable, "I was trying to be nostalgic, Monet. You know, home sweet home," she explains about the couch, "Nevermind, nevermind, listen..." she begins.

Alison opens her mouth to talk to Monet, who is deadpan staring at her, but she says, "Uhh well, listen, I'm not sure I can think of...anything," she explains.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smirk over at Alison, "I see." She would look over at the children and then over at Alison. "I believe that is the crux of the matter." What exactly -do- the two talk about between the disco star and the egoistical nitwit?

"How many end of the world events have you performing?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire squints at Monet and nods along with her comments while trying to think of something to say to this Monet character, "Uhh well, let's see, I went to Japan last year for the World Expo. It's in Osaka. Have you ever been there?" she wonders.

"Yeah, my last concert was simultaneously live streamed in the UK. Don't know if you knew that," she tells her, "And you can watch some clips on Youtube. You like music right?" she asks.
