Location: Underground fight club
Synopsis: Lobo and Crush meet up at an underground fighting ring, and discover that maybe they don't dislike each other that much.
Cast of Characters: Lobo, Xiomara Rojas

Lobo has posed:
When Crush walks into one of the fighting rings she frequents, she'd see a sight she wasn't expecting. Dear old dad sitting in the front by the ring. She could slip out again and avoid him, but then again, this is proof he's keeping his word to stay and help until the Galactus thing is over with one way or another.

He's currently cheering one of the fighters on, but in Czarnian, so it's probably not too helpful. What she can catch runs along the general gist of "Rip his intestines out and strangle him with them!"

    Yep, that's dad.

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
At least once a week, for old times sake, Crush would find one of the underground rings holding a fight... just to go watch. She'd made promises to several teachers at Happy Harbor, including Stadler, that she herself would no longer get into the ring with metas. Whether that was for the sake of those in the ring or herself, she still wasn't certain.

The sound of the crowd filled her ears like a symphony, it was an addicting sound for one who earned a great deal of her money from these places when she lived on the streets. She would have likely stood there soaking it in for a while had she not heard Czarnian among the English. It was then that she spotted Lobo.

Of course it was Lobo. She hadn't been able to find any of the other surviving Czarnians thanks to him, just as the remaining ones were in hiding because of him. It all went back to Lobo.

Easing her way through the crowd, one of those few places she fit in due to all the metas, she plopped down beside him as she looked around. Lobo was likely just as used to being stared at as she was, but in this sort of place she didn't get that... he did. Yes, there were a lot of eyes watching the "Main Man".

"You know... dad," she began in Czarnian. "They don't do death matches at this location."

Lobo has posed:
Lobo laughs "Haw! Yeah, I know. Kinda wussy if you ask me, but this planet's like that, always worried about the climate and people not disemboweling each other and that kinda crap. Now, you want some good fights, hit Xalnus 3. I've watched a guy rip off his opponent's arm and beat him to death with it there. That's a real fight, if you ask me."

He's used to and ignoring being stared at, and honestly, there's enough other wierdness in attendance that he doesn't stand out as much as usual. The people who recognize him from that televised fight with Superman, yeah, but to others he's just another metahuman or alien of some kind.

"They won't let me fight here, something about it being too boring when I just let my opponent exhaust himself hitting me. I mean, they don't want me to kill him, so I let him beat himself, then that's not fun to watch. Can't have it both ways, I say. But at least there's some excitement going on here, so I hang out now and then."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
Completely out of habit, Crush keeps a mental tab on everyone who stares for too long, those who might be thinking of trying something. Her eyes remain on Lobo however, as she is slowly adjusting to having a father she doesn't hate.

"Xalnus 3 huh," she mutters, thinking on a /real/ fight and what that might be like. "Gonna have ta take me there, see if I can rip off somethings arm as a trophy."

The truth was, Lobo was the only person in the universe who might actually understand that violent side, that need to punch things, or in this case rip limbs off. He was different from the other Czarnians, that much she had figured out. Where as they were pacifists, he was most definitely not, and she was like him.

Looking to the ring to see the fight for a moment she snorted, "Hell, they didn't like it when /I/ fought here. The only reason they'd le me is cause I offered up a show for the audience, or there was some meta who actually thought he could take me... there never was."

She turns her eyes back to Lobo as she continues, "You just gotta learn how ta make it look good, then ya get all the money an people end up lovin ya."

Lobo has posed:
Lobo shrugs, "I've never really bothered to learn the whole 'pulling your punches' thing. First guy I went in the ring with is the reason for that hole in the wall. I'll be paying his rehab, apparently."

He points to a section of the concrete wall that's currently covered by what looks like a bedsheet.

"So the next one I stood there, and he hit, and I healed, and he hit and so on until he dropped from exhaustion trying ta actually do something to me that would stay for more than a second or so."

He considers for a moment then adds, "I could offer to fight with one arm behind my back, you know, cut it off and strap it back there. But the other one would still put people in the hospital. Probably freak people out when I got the machete out to remove the arm though."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
Without really intending to, a soft, dark chuckle is offered over the idea of removing an arm in front of the audience just to prove it would be a one armed fight. It tickled Crush's darker side, the side that everyone on earth wanted her to keep contained like a criminal in a cell.

"I ain't tried removing any parts to see if they'd come back," she admits, still keeping to Czarnian because this sort of conversation is not one that humans needed to hear and she rarely got to speak it.

"That would freak out most everyone here," she then admits. "Even the metas an mutants are all human thinkin when it comes to that sort of thing. Sure, there's some violent types that don't give any fucks, an would just shrug off someone removin an arm, but everyone else... major meltdowns."

Watching the fight for a short time, she looks to her left and stares back at a guy who had been staring too long. She'd kept track of the time his eyes were boring into her and Lobo, and he'd reached his allotted limit. "Fuck off or I'll throw ya in the ring," she growled in English, causing the guy to look anywhere but in their direction.

Right back into conversation in Czarnian with Lobo she continues with, "Pullin punches ain't as easy at Sups made it sound, took me months ta stop imbeddin people in walls. Could teach ya though, if ya want."

Lobo has posed:
This is new, someone who knows him actually wanting to spend time with him in a non-partying situation. He had any number of drinking buddies, but that was mostly because he was always buying.

"Well.. sure, sounds cool ta me. Maybe after I work at it a bit I can get into a couple matches around here. Besides, for some reason I kinda like ya kiddo, so spending a little time working on it wouldn't be a bad thing."

He pauses, then addresses one of her earlier statements, saying "I'd suggest starting small, like maybe just at the top knuckle of your little finger. That way if it don't regrow, ya ain't lost that much."

Xiomara Rojas has posed:
"If ya can pull punches, there's a lot of metas who'd likely want ta take a shot at ya," Crush comments with a grin, remembering the number who used to come after her... and lose.

She hadn't missed the 'kinda like ya kiddo' comment, she just wasn't entirely certain how to react. Most of her life she had no idea who her real father was, and how she found out was not one for the books. There he was on the big screen, in a life or death fight with her hero at the time, Superman. Hard way to find out about a parent when you've been told you were a hero waiting for your real parents to return... that's on her adoptive parents, but still.

"Sometime soon, you an me are gonna have a long, serious, talk," she finally says with a nod. "Cause ya ain't exactly what I thought ya were, an I'm kinda liking ya back."

Glancing at her hands she considers which pinky to test the theory on, and just how well the other Titans and Belinda might react to her just cutting the tip off. "We'll plan a time, I might be able ta get ya into the Danger Room at the tower, best place to practice. For now though, I gotta jet. Breaks over, an that shuttle ain't testin itself... at least not yet. Might put in AI later."
