Amy Winston has posed:
Amy had been talking about taking Mary to her homeworld for a while now. Finally, she had found the time to do it. Offering to meet up with Mary at the Themysciran Embassy that she currently lives at, Amy is waiting in the Atrium of the building for Mary to arrive.

She's currently dressed in her more official garb as a Princess of Gemworld, making her look more like a character from one of her girlfriend's RPGs than a citizen of Earth, but it is what it is on that front. Excitement shows on her features as she waits, a little bounce on the balls of her feet.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary shows up as Thunderbolt, as that tends to draw less attention at the Themysciran Embassy. She soars in, skirt and cape fluttering in the air as she spirals down and makes a modest landing, not too far away. Then she comes over towards Amy, giving her a warm hug and a kiss, "Hey! You look great. Like this hexadin I was playing a few years ago, I should show you her art..." She blinks, then laughs, "Sorry, got distracted. Ready?" The Mighty Mortal looks pretty excited herself, eager to see something new, as she's been to other worlds before, but another dimension?

That's something else /entirely/.

Amy Winston has posed:
When the Mighty Maiden arrives, Amy is eager to leap into Thunderbolt's arms and giggles. "It's not cheating on Mary if I kiss you right?" she starts to ask, but she's the one getting kissed, and her arms drape around the powerful girl's shoulders before they break. "Just like a Mary kiss." she teases.

But when Mary compliments her outfit, she gives a twirl, holding the edges of the skirt. "I'll let you check my stats later." she teases. So lame, but she's trying to fit into Mary's gaming world. But for now, she steps back. "Ready, Mary?" Amy's voice is steady, tinged with an easy confidence, though a small smile curves at the corner of her lips.

She raises her hand, and her palm starts to glow as she summons a crystal. Her eyes close, and her brows draw together in deep focus as she channels the power within her. The air hums with energy, shimmering faintly as the gem set in her circlet pulses in time with her heartbeat.

Amy sweeps her hand through the air like a painter working on an invisible canvas. The space before them ripples and spirals, bursting into a kaleidoscope of blues and purples, each hue brighter and more vibrant than the last. The swirling portal takes shape, its edges glinting like fractured crystal in the sunlight. A soft wind rushes past, carrying the faint scent of magic and wildflowers from beyond.

Without hesitation, Amy steps forward, motioning for Mary to follow. The two disappear into the swirling light, their forms dissolving as if into water.

They emerge in a breathtaking meadow bathed in golden sunlight. Towering peaks surround them on all sides, their jagged heights dusted with snow and stretching into the endless azure sky. The meadow itself is a patchwork of fantastical flora-flowers with petals like iridescent gemstones sway in an unseen breeze, while glittering vines weave through the grass in brilliant shades of green and silver.

Strange but beautiful creatures roam the field. A herd of deer-like animals with shimmering crystalline antlers grazes nearby, their coats gleaming with soft rainbow hues. Birds with wings like stained glass flit overhead, their melodic calls harmonizing with the rustle of the plants.

Amy breathes in deeply, a serene smile spreading across her face. "Welcome to Nilaa."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary steps through the portal with Amy, not hesitating a bit, though she cracks a grin at the stats joke. Then, they're through the portal and...

Mary gasps a bit, because while she's seen the unblemished countrysides of Themyscira before? This, this is something else. As if she just wandered into the Lands Betweenm though hopefully there's no crabby Grafted Scion lurking to ambush her here.

She glances over at Amy, "This is beautiful, Amy. I've never seen anything like it." And she means it to, since it isn't exactly common for a city girl like her.

Amy Winston has posed:
No no, no need to worry about things going all Elder Ring here. At least not immediately. Stepping back for a moment to give Mary the chance to look around and take it all in, Amy clasps her hands together to watch Mary interact with the environment.

"I'm glad you like it!" she says with a cheerful little curtsey. "This is part of the Emerald lands. When Lady Sapphire passed away, during Opal's first uprising, these lands were unclaimed. After Opal was pushed back, my parents granted them to House Emerald, since Sapphire had no heir."

"Anyway, this is only a small part of the world. Most of the lands here are feudal. I'd say... just before the Industrial Revolution?" she asks. "It's been a while since Nilaa was part of Earth before it seperated during the rise of technology."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, looking around with a bit of wonder, "It's so... rare, to see a place untouched like this." She glances over towards Amy, her smile growing a bit as she looks at her, "Hopefully you can maybe cheat the technology a bit, and skip some of the steps to avoid the really nasty impacts that would have." Her eyes look back towards those crystalline deer, and she definitely seems to be fighting the urge to go over and pet them.

Sure, it might be dangerous, but she still has her powers. At least, she thinks she does...

Amy Winston has posed:
A rustle in the grass draws both their attention. A sleek, deer-like creature with antlers that sparkle like quartz cautiously approaches, its opalescent eyes fixed on the pair. But before Mary can approach it, it startles. Its ears swivel sharply, and in an instant, it bounds away, vanishing into the trees.

Amy stiffens, her breath catching as a distant sound reaches her ears - the unmistakable rhythm of hooves pounding against the earth. Her head snaps toward the far hill as the noise grows louder, soon accompanied by the gleam of sunlight catching on polished armor and the rich banners carried by a hunting party.

Three nobles on horseback crest the hill, their dark cloaks billowing behind them, flanked by several armored bodyguards. The nobles' colors - deep purples and midnight blues accented with glints of black - make Amy's heart sink. Her face pales as she murmurs, "Dark Opal's followers."

The lead rider, a man with sharp features and an air of practiced arrogance, reins his mount to a halt a short distance away. His voice carries easily across the meadow, laced with authority and disdain. "Who are you, and why are you trespassing on Dark Opal's lands?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary's eyes crackle, as the one thing she learns about this realm... the Goddesses answer faster here. Perhaps because the magic is so much stronger here than it is on Earth. Perhaps because the technology isn't around to supress it, as she says, "I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure this is Emerald lands, and you're the trespassers."

With that, the lightning starts to ripple along her a bit, nothing too much, but enough to hint that this isn't an ordinary citizen they'd be dealing with. "So, we can do this easy..." And then she grins, looking at the nobles, "Or we can do this /real/ easy." Because after all the wonder that she's been told about of this place, to have some evil noble dorks show up to ruin it and her girlfriend's day?

Well, sir, that she will NOT abide.

Amy Winston has posed:
As soon as Thunderbolt starts to power up, Amy steps forth. "I am Princess Amethyst of Nilaa. Rightful heir of Gemworld and ruler of the Amethyst lands, ally of Emerald. Leave now."

One of the nobles, a tall, thin man with a sharp face and robes adorned in dark silks, narrows his eyes. Recognition flashes in his expression.

"Amethyst," he spits, his tone filled with venom. "The pretender to the throne of Nilaa, enemy of Dark Opal."

The other nobles exchange quick glances before beginning to weave spells, their hands glowing with dark energy. From the air around them, shimmering chains of magic begin to form, their ends sparking with runes meant to bind and ground their target. One noble gestures toward Mary, clearly intent on bringing her down.

Meanwhile, the guards flanking the nobles dismount with practiced precision, drawing their swords as they advance on Amy. One of them charges ahead of the others, his blade raised high, ready to strike.

Amy reacts instantly. With a sharp gesture, she casts a spell, her voice commanding as her words ring out in the magical tongue. A blast of air erupts outward, striking the lead guard and sending him flying from his feet. He crashes to the ground in a heap, his sword clattering uselessly beside him.

One of the nobles falters, his spellcasting hand trembling as he stares at the electricity dancing around Mary. "A... a Thunderer," he stammers, panic creeping into his voice.

Amy glances at Mary, a flicker of relief crossing her face as she sees the shift in her companion. "Keep them off balance," she mutters, her own power gathering in her hands. "We'll make them regret picking this fight."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins as she slowly starts to lift up into the air, drawing in the electricity, the thunder, the raw primal magic of Nilaa thanks to the Goddesses. She looks at the noble who spoke, "Yes, a Thunderer. So I suppose you'll know what comes next." She looks at the eldritch chains starting to form, then shouts with a loud cry, "SHAZAM!!!"

And when she speaks, seven thunders utter their voices.

Lightning /roars/ from Mary in all directions, the eldritch chains shattering before they even can fully form as the thunderclap knocks the spellcasting noble who recognized Mary off his horse and sprawling on his back as there's definitely a new factor in play to oppose Dark Opal's machinations.

Amy Winston has posed:
"SHAZAM!"

The word is a thunderclap that seems to tear the heavens apart. Seven thunders answer, their deafening roar reverberating through the peaks. A blinding bolt of lightning erupts from Mary, striking the ground around her and exploding outward in all directions. The eldritch chains shatter like brittle glass, their fragments disintegrating into harmless sparks.

The nobles cry out, shielding their faces as the shockwave ripples through the meadow. Their mounts rear and panic, several throwing their riders to the ground. Guards are sent sprawling, their swords flung from their hands as they scramble to regain their footing.

The lead noble, now dismounted and trembling, glares up at Mary with a mixture of awe and terror. "Impossible... The Thunderer's power... It was only legend."

Another noble, however, grew angry, "A Thunderer... No, it cannot be. That name SHAZAM it has not been uttered in Nilaa since the great wizard abandoned this realm for Earth. How dare you invoke it?"

Amy glances toward Mary, her brow furrowed in confusion as she deftly sidesteps a charging guard. With a sweep of her arm, she sends a gust of wind that blasts the attacker off his horse, disarming him with ease. "What are they talking about, Mary? Who's this wizard?" Amy asks as she summons another pulse of magic to knock back two guards attempting to flank her.

To Mary, Nilaa's magic is pure. Untainted. And wild. She will have to be careful to control it, but it's right there for her to grasp.

The nobles glance at one another, panic beginning to take hold as the eldritch chains tremble under the surging magic. The guards take a step back, some glancing toward their leaders for orders as doubt fills their faces.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary looks at the noble, "The Wizard may have left Nilaa for Earth, but he never /abandoned/ it. Now, cease your attacks or I'll say the word again." And she feels that magic surging, in a way that it never does on Earth. Is this how Zatanna or the Scarlet Witch feel? With the powers of magic at their fingertips to cast a spell and just twist reality around however they want?

Is this how Amy feels when she does it?

She then looks at the nobles with disdain, "Take this message back to your master. He is not the rightful ruler of Nilaa, nor will he /ever/ be. So says the Wizard..." She pauses, and then an impish grin quirks her lips as she glances at the nobles.

"SHAZAM!" And again lightning and thunder roars out, shattering the chains and sending more guards flying.

Amy Winston has posed:
The nobles, now visibly shaken, exchange uneasy glances. Their spells falter, the glowing chains dissipating into faint sparks of fading magic. The lead noble, his haughty demeanor cracking under the pressure of Mary's surging power and Amy's unwavering defiance, pulls his horse back with a sharp tug of the reins.

"You'll regret this, Amethyst," he spits, his voice laced with bitterness and fear. His eyes dart to Mary, wary of the crackling energy that ripples along her form like a living storm. "And as for you, Thunderer, Dark Opal will hear of this. You have made powerful enemies today."

The nobles pull their mounts around, their guards following reluctantly, casting nervous glances over their shoulders at the pair. The party retreats over the hill, their banners flapping wildly as they disappear into the distance.

Amy giggles as they run off. "Well. I didn't even have to do anything!" she says with a warm look in her eyes. "Who knew my girlfriend was so powerful?" she teases.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary descends, and concentrates a moment, the lightning fading away, though there does seem to be a faint hint of ozone around her even still. "That was... okay, the magic here is just so /different/ than Earth. I don't, I don't feel quite as strong or anything, but it feels like the powers go in different directions. I never was that good with channeling the lightning." She grins a bit, "Which makes me wonder how much better I can get if I practice that here."

She then frowns, "Though now I have questions for the Wizard... I never realized he might have been here before, and it definitely sounds like he was."

Amy Winston has posed:
"If I still could access the royal archive, I could look into it. But it was destroyed in the last war with Dark Opal." Amy deflates a little with that. "His influence is growing stronger. I need to find a way to stem it." A hand goes up to brush through her blonde locks, before she glances aside to Mary. "You are welcome to come here anytime you want to practice. I mean... that comes with dating me?" she asks with a hopeful look.

"Though, like you, I would like to speak to this Wizard of yours. Maybe he knows some way that I can defeat Dark Opal, once and for all. Instead of just destroying him and he comes back later."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "Well, I'd love for you to meet the Wizard. He's a little...eccentric, but he's a good person." She chuckles a bit at that, "I think that might be some of Billy's influence." And at the mention of dating, Mary reaches out towards Amy, pulling her closer if she allows it into an embrace.

"And hey, wherever you are, I'm not going to be far behind, Amy. That I promise." She grins and rests her forehead against Amy's, "Besides, what better dating activity is there than beating up an evil wizard and liberating your home?"

Amy Winston has posed:
"Billy... you know, he asked me for a date the first time we met." Amy admits with a laugh, about to say more on the matter when Mary pulls her in close. She presses against the Thunderer and closes her eyes for a moment, her cheeks warm and pink. "I know you're close." she finally says. "And I know I love you."

"And yes, fighting the foes of your girlfriend's homeland is a way to work up... well, everything." A grin. "I'd invite you back to my castle, but it's kinda abandoned at the moment, so I suppose... we could do burgers and head back to your place." Her fingers walk across Mary's chest. "If that's something you'd be interested in?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "That sounds positively perfect, Amy. Let's go. I know you wanted to show me more, but if there's more of these dark wizards about, we should probably be more ready for them. And maybe bring some backup." She grins, getting a few ideas on precisely who that might be, as she gives Amy a kiss.

Pulling back after a few moments that feel like an eternity, she winks, "Come on, let's go."
