Cast of Characters: Damian Wayne, Jon Kent, Michael Hannigan

Damian Wayne has posed:
It had been days after the mess with Warworld showing up in Metropolis.

The parts of Metropolis that had been ravaged were being repaired. The City of Tomorrow was safe. But for one member of the Titans, there had been a new addition to the House of El. Robin had seen a quick video of someone in blue and red and not the Big Blue Boy Scout. This required more investigating.

As the sun was setting in Eastside, Robin had been scoping around, keeping an eye on the police scanners, and keeping his eyes peeled to the skies for anything matching the description of a teenage Superman.

He was prepared to wait as long as he had to. At least I. Metropolis, you could be a costumed hero, and out in public. Especially if you're a Titan.

Jon Kent has posed:
Over the police scanners a call came in that there was an alarm going off at a near by high school. Odd that one of the schools would get broken into and possibly attacked or trashed on the first week of school. Usually these kind of calls are reported later in the year, near christmas break from some punks trying to steal an answer key or the end of the year with some kids just getting some aggression out or pulling some stupid senior prank. Never the first week.

Cops report to the scene about the time Damian sets up his radio scanner in Metropolis and he hears the officers on the radios, "Yeah, repeating, some young kid dressed up like, I dunno, future superman is just standing in front of the doors and is surrendering, we'll be back at the station soon."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Away from his usual area of NYC, Mike is doing something he is used to. Traveling out of town for work. As for today, it's because of the AR Agency scheduling a meeting involving a potential new role and him asking for suggestions on good places to eat that was reasonably nearby.

That was a bit ago and now Mike is emerging from Freddy's. After adjusting his ball cap to hide his hair, he steps out. Attire pretty similar to what he normally wears. Solid colors, slightly higher quality fabric than what he wears in his off time. Work and all.

A flash of lights off to the side of his vision causs for the rocker to turn his head, glancing curiously. Giving a shrug, he walks over in that general direction. Well, at least it's police lights and not the glow of a building on fire this time.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian's hood had been raised, two fingers brought up against the edge of his mask as he isolated the scanner's feed to the bone conductors.

Future Superman? At a high school? Surrendering himself? It's showtime! Robin had known the high school was not far off, he ran towards the commotion, and with a loud "Coming through!" said behind Nick, a quick hiss of air from the grapple gun, and he was swinging his way to the scene.

A couple of cars had already been waiting, their backup on their way. Robin had landed, and kept his distance, for now.

Jon Kent has posed:
Yup, younger-shorter Superman with a slightly altered costume, nothing incredibly drastic just, a bit more stylized. His hands are up and he's frowning, even blushing as he holds his hands up waiting for the officers to come cuff him. "Do, do I explain to you now, or should I wait." Jon asks the officers as they approach him and he is motioned to turn around and he does so, lowering his hands behind his cape with a hint of tears in his eyes. He knows he messed up, but he had good intentions and he's just, terrified.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike freezes as a robin comes running by. Eyes widening. Okay if he's running there, maybe this scene requires a bit more precaution than just walking over as himself. Turning, he darts down an alleyway, picking up into a run.

The form starts to shift and condense into a purplish black collection of feathers, dark eyes, beak, and talons. A raven emerges from between the building, arching backwards before pulling off a corkscrew spin to right himself. Sure. That guy may have some toys but Mike now comes with wings!

...

You know what? Just forget that last line.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Robin stands, arms crossed and an overall look of dissatisfaction on his face.

He had no doubt that this guy was in some way related to Supergirl and Superman. He just let himself be cuffed by the cops, knowing full well they won't do a damn thing.

"You can explain." He said, approaching the police and Jon carefully. He hadn't noticed new and improved Mike with wings, yet.

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon looks over his shoulder as the cuffs clasp against his wrists and he fights back the tears pooling in his eyes and yet, he swallows the frog in his throat at the sight of, "Um, right."

Jon takes a breath, "I needed to get the lessons for todays studies... I missed the first day because of ... I'm not from here and I don't want to be a burden on anyone." Jon says with a frown as his eyebrows furrow as he catches sight of a bird doing an odd corkscrew.

Jon shakes his head and frown as he allows himself to be led to the car. "I'm not from here." He reiterates.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
And why would the big bird notice the, well technically larger than average avian following behind him? Ravens are such silly little air acrobats and play is just in their nature. Which... is probably why he flies in, perching upon Damian's head. Unfortunately he doesn't factor in the weight of a bird in the equation. But surely the three foot wingspan of the bird flying in is enough of a clue.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian's white eyelets spread open as Jon started to explain. It took him a moment to say anything, because the explanation offered by Jon for sure has him confirm what was going on. "You broke into school...because you /missed/ school?" Robin was so taken aback that he didn't even notice a large and yet not weighty raven had perched upon his head.

Once the confirmation of such an action comes from Jon, his only add on was: "That is literally the lamest excuse I have ever heard."

Jon Kent has posed:
The officers both stop and look towards Damian and then back at Jon and shake their heads. "So you didn't take anything kid?"

Jon shakes his head, "No, of course not. I just needed to keep up with everyone else. I'm not going to be in any of the systems, and I don't want my parents to find out I'm here, I don't think.... I don't think they're even my parents yet..." Jon says, his bottom lip beginning to quiver again as he hiccups and looks back to Robin and cants his head at the bird. "That's new, even to me..." He says before looking back to the cops who look to Robin and point at the bird.

    "Mascot?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The bird tilts his head, looking to Jon. Beak dropping in surprise at the explanation. A wing lifts as he momentarily beakwings in response. The wing folds back to a resting position. They needed to do the costume thing for this? Really?

The beak closes as he continues listening, beak actually frowning to the story as he closes his eyes in thought. Well, all of that just. Stinks. But the good news is that if any of his past experience with cops told him anything, they're probably going to not follow up on most of what just got blabbed out.

And then he hears the M word. Eyes open, the raven looks to Jon who is staring right at him and then to the cops gesturing to him. Hmm. Well, he probably should move.

He starts to spread out his wings.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian looks quickly from Jon to the cops, then to see what he can right up above him.

">tt<" he tsks before waving off the bird on his head. "Begone, skyrat!"

Once the Raven is off of his head, Damian continues, approaching the officers and the other teen. "He did not take anything, and that reason..." He just shakes his head. "Anyway, do you want to be the cops that arrested...Superboy?" He asks, gesturing to the weeping Jon. "Quit crying." He says, not as much chiding, or scolding. This is just a matter of dignity for Jon.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Arwk!"

Wings flapping, the bird arcs back to avoid more with the waving limb, flapping his wings to essentially flip in the air and fly over to Jon, landing on his shoulder. He looks over to Jon, giving a slight nod of acknowledgment for usage of the natural perch before looking back to Damian.

Jon Kent has posed:
A hand goes up to wipe his nose and a sniffle, Jon takes a moment to realize what he just did. The ping of the breaking chain didn't even register to the young man who's scared and not sure what to be doing with his current awful situation. "Sorry sirs, I'll buy you a new one..." He notes about the cuffs as he motions to the cops who are already pulling out the key and then looking to Robin.

"You know you're in charge of him now... Make sure he's taken care of." The other cop then adds, "We'll need to make sure he's okay and safe, at least in that Tower of yours over that way." The cop thumbs over his shoulder in the exact opposite direction of titan tower but he isn't concerned about that exactly.

"Th-Thanks Robin and ... Raven..." Jon still confused about that bird that seems to be here but not really much of a bother... Even on his own shoulder he doesn't feel the weight of the bird...

Damian Wayne has posed:
Yup, he broke the cuffs. "Okay, take the cuffs off." Asks Robin, before he takes out a $50 bill from his utility belt. Yes, clean untraceable bills are a part of the load out. "For the cuffs." He says, not a bribe. Wouldn't really work in Metropolis anyway. "Okay, so....I guess we are going to Titans Tower..."

"Birds are incredibly weird." He comments, looking right back to the raven that seems to have taken a shine to Jon.

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon apologizes again for the cuffs and he sniffles one last time, "Sorry officers, but thank you very much." The young hero whispers before he looks to Damian and then towards the bird, that he then tries to pet, but pauses just short of touching it with his hand, "Are we going to the Titans Tower? Is that okay with you? I don't really want to put anyone out or anything like that." Jon notes, sounding like the lost puppy turned into a real boy.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The bird stares at Damian quietly, not noticing as Jon's finger comes close. He turns his head to look to Jon. Lifting up a wing, he reaches over to pat the super's head with a light touch where the wing comes in contact. No words are said aloud but the message is there. There there. Things will get better.

The wing folds back as the purplish black raven blinks at Damian again. He gives him a slight nod before hopping off Jon's shoulder, taking to sky.
