A part of growing up a Kent means that you have to easily fit in with the human populous. This is done with layered clothing and other props, but Jon takes it a step further, by being genuine and unassuming when outside of wearing the S.

Goodest Boy:
Weaved in youthful naivety and a product of his upbringing, Jon is a small show of hope and a force for good in the world.

One of Us:
Despite his Kryptonian heritage, Jon has for all of his life, grown up on Earth. His heritage does play a part of his life, but for all intents and purposes, he passes for human just like his father.

Fire and Ice:
Jon is able to shoot heat from his eyes, much like Superman can, often referred to as laser vision by the public. The heat beams can reach a range of 50 yards using the radiation he has stored to use this heat energy.

Along with heat vision, Jon can take in massive amounts of air into his lungs, blowing it back at great speeds, and sometimes even be able to cool things down and encase them in ice. The range on this is two yards at maximum. This lung capacity can also be a bit of a hinderance, if he gets sick, he has blown the window out of his room, or he has even blown over a friend after telling a joke. These two powers are the most reserved of his capabilities, as they have caused the most accidents. He does not often use them.

While charged by the sun, Jon can fly inside and outside of Earth's atmosphere. He doesn't need wings or anything of the sort, he moves his body. Levitating and hovering come to him like second nature. He is able to use his strength and speed while flying. He is able to transverse the earth in about an hour, again he has not tested the full abilities, because of the inherent danger of momentarily losing his powers. Sleep flying is also something that has happened to him, much to his chagrin.

Being powered by the yellow sun allows Jon to be near invulnerable, unless his emotions interfere. He has not been able to see just how far his powers can go, but he has stopped bullets and other attacks from foes with no harm done. He was once thrown through a building in a large battle, without a scratch. This applies to energy attacks as well, but magic and psionic attacks are not covered.

Jon's powers are fueled by sunlight from a "Yellow Sun" like the one in the Sol system. The radiation from it, and others like it, charge him. A 'red' sun (like Krypton's now dead sun) is the opposite, suppressing his powers altogether.

The powers that a yellow sun gives him allow for suspended breathing (his record was ten hours, but he had to go to bed.) It could allow him to be in space for prolonged times, and allow him to remain underwater for equally long times.

While under the effects of a red sun, Jon is slightly more durable than normal humans, but he is most definitely vulnerable.

Super Senses:
Jon has the ability to focus his senses of sight and hearing to superhuman levels. While this is not his normal mode of operation, with great focus, he can see things from extreme distance, or see through objects. Lead, however, stops him from seeing past it, much like X-Rays.

His super hearing, is something he has to focus on to use, unlike his father, who cannot turn it off.

Super Speed:
Like Superman, Jon has the ability to move at incredible speed without being connected to the speed force. Despite his being able to act fast on reflex, prolonged actions while moving at super speed require a great amount of focus, and of course, like any human teen, he can lack that amount of focus.

While Jon is capable of moving fast enough to catch a bullet, or to not be seen, this is not his natural state.

Super Strength:
At high levels of concentration, Jon can accomplish great feats of strength. He is able to lift cars and other heavy machinery with ease. While his limits have not been found, he has never attempted to find it, due to the fluctuating nature of his powers. Due to his age, he lacks the fine control of his father, there have been a number of broken doors in the Kent household over the years.

Jon has had to remain under the radar with his personal life. While not as unassuming as Clark at times, Jon is able to blend in with a crowd, given he has the appropriate clothes and glasses.

Jon does not like to see people be hurt, and is in tune with the outward emotions of others. He listens, and more often than not, offers a helping hand when he can.

Jon is good with money, something his dad made sure he had a sense of from his younger days. He is not rich, but he can indeed set a budget for himself.

Jon has earned money from chores and such to spend how he wants, it's a meager sum, but he can often buy himself a meal or get something every now and again.

Jon cares very much for his family, like Clark, if anything were to happen to Lois, he would be utterly devastated.

Just like any other kryptonian, Jon has a vulnerability to Kryptonite. The mineral from his paternal homeworld can pierce his skin, and damage his organs. The radiation the rocks give off can weaken him to a heap on the floor, or in prolonged exposure, kill him.

Lead will inhibit Jon's ability to see through objects just like an X-Ray. There is no workaround for this weakness, it is absolute.

Mystics and magic are tricky against Kryptonians, while it may not be easy to damage Jon with mystic energy, it is indeed a viable way to counter his Kryptonian physiology. He can be harmed, and hurt by magic of all kinds.

Jon is young, and likes to see the good in people, believing no one person is every truly irredeemable. This means that sometimes people can take advantage of that, and allow him to be taken advantage of.

Power Fluxuations:
Due to his young age, and half Kryptonian physiology, Jon can lose his powers temporarily. This is often spurned on by his emotional state.

Some times he loses the use of one power, some times it is multiple, or even all of them. The severity of it depends more on his emotional state than when he was younger and not accustomed to using his powers.

Jon's past trauma regarding his powers still haunt him to this day. He once accidentally killed his cat while trying to save it from being taken by a hawk. To this day, it keeps his heat vision from being something he can use at will.

He remains reluctant to harm living things because of this, and will not go farther than necessary to subdue.
