Jessica Jones has posed:
After the unlikely meeting with a blast from the past, in a Carol Danvers who was surprisingly alive, considering the news report showing a lifeless Ms. Marvel being unceremoniously dumped in San Francisco Bay by a young mutant terrorist, Jessica was inspired, eager and driven to help a friend. She practically dragged Carol towards Alias Investigations to make a case discussion. Needless to say, no payment requirement were made, that one was all its own reward. The only question was, could Jessica even wait for Carol if she were to find that terrorist.

Sat behind her desk, not even a glass of whiskey infront of her, Jessica has her laptop open as she's all but ready to jot down case files. "Okay...so I've pulled up the news report, "that mutant has green eyes, distinct hair, brown with a white streak...there's a sighting of her in the greater New York area."

"Anything at all you can tell me about her? Anything you remember from your fight with her? What did she even do to you? Was it magic? Poison? Some tech?"

Carol Danvers has posed:
Honestly it is like bizarro world.

Upon entering the office Carol is the one who went and poured herself a glass of whiskey and settled into the >client< chair across the desk from Jessica. Looking around thoughtfully as she sips it and tries to put her finger on why this place feels so very familiar to her. Honestly she takes it as a very good sign that it feels familiar.

"I've got a bunch of files on her from the manhunt they did on her that I can forward too later if you later." yeah she plays it a little fast and loose with the whole classified thing in some cases or abusing the SHIELD spying apparatus.

"As for the girl.. she was like fifteen or so and being used as a child soldier by the Brotherhood of Mutants. Magneto's old crew but led by that shapeshifter Mystique." yeah she doesn't remember it first hand but she has read a lot on them and watches the footage of her fight in detail.

"Brown hair.. but streaks of white in the front,, as yuo say.. exceptionally southern accent..." which is about hwen the words catchup with her. "Wait what."

She takes a bigger drink. "In New York.. SHIELD intel had the last sighting of her months ago before I was up and back in the field up in Canada then she vanished completely.. she is in New York?" yeah the last question is important but she may need to be redirected back to it.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jess frowns when she recognizes the look on Carol's visage as she looks about Alias, a place that sould be quite familiar to her, "this is my office / home / office, depends on what it needs to be, you've helped me get this place when I needed to get a start on life. Like, for real."

Jessica smiles bitterly at Carol, and mutters, "that little fucker did a number on you, Carol, and we're going to find her. I'm just glad I got a narrowed range in Greater New York, helps immensely, I don't have the fund to go to San Francisco."

"Oh yes, please forward all files, I promise you they overlooked some stuff...I'll be able to find some lead," Jessica assures Carol. "Child soldier? Ick! Those Brotherhood of Mutants types don't sound very nice." Shame, Jess was ready to lay down supreme justice on the girl, but with that tidbit...who knows. Maybe she was being used, just like Jewel was...it's a little too close to home. "Hell, maybe we need to find her so we can save her rather than punish her. Whatever the case, we need to find her. Somebody is getting my fist in their nose over this."

"Well, not necessarily at the moment, but I found a sighting for Greater New York area, so anywhere in the State is possible."

"I've got some sources, Alias Investigation isn't just me, you know," Jessica totally lies, well, about it not being just her. She does have some contacts and sources she amassed in her years of operation. All two of them.

Carol Danvers has posed:
"Well they are terrorists.." she notes wryly, sort of a dry sarcasm that is definitely very Carol. Maybe even a little more loose than she use to be in her attitude but then a lot of her military and starforce years are gaps to a large degree.

Carol isn't entirely postive the analysts missed something, but then again something tells her to trust this Jessica Jones. She fishes a tablet out of the inside of her jacket now. "A Mutant that goes by the name of Mystique is believed to be their leader since Magneto went off to Genosha to found his Kingdom. She is a shapeshifter and hasn't been spotted in.. way to long.. but thne she is a shapeshifter. Can be anyone like a damn Skrull."

"Still I need the girl.. she well it seems like her mutation lets her drain and use people's powers. The R&D boys think it isn't a psychic attack.. not like she deleted my memories but maybe she ... you know like a pick pocket. It is just so.. gone right now not surpressed..."

She drinks the whisky a bit more "What is the email addy... I'll dump some files on you now.... also what did the sighting have her doing in the New York area?"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Well, it's a given that terrorists would be the absou-fucking-lutely worst," Jessica smiles at Carol, "I love that somehow you kept your sense of humor through it all, it's a good sign."

Jessica is quick to return to all business mode, typing away as she continues to construct her case. "I heared the name Mystique before, never really met, but then I keep out of mutant business for the most part." She pauses, and grins if Carol looks her way, "sometimes they just hire me. I'm kinda good at what I do." The mention of how Rogue might have done what she did to Carol makes Jessica shudder, "yeah...I've had enough of assholes with mind powers. They're the worst..."

"jjones@alias.com," Jessica provides her professional email, "I promise you this will be my top priority..." not that it means she'll take a break from her alcoholic escapades. Those are essential for survival.

Carol Danvers has posed:
"So why did you name this place Alias Investigations?" curious as she messes around on the SHIELD issued tablet, pulling up her personal folder where she keeps all the SHIELD intel on Rogue and also on Mystique and the brotherhood. Some of it is probably considered pretty sensitive but Carol is a it obsessed and so far in the last six months SHIELD hasn't managed to give her any credible leads to chase.

She starts sending files over to that email keeping them small enough for file sizes. "Thanks Jessica, I feel ..better..." she puzzles about it because she does and all. She looks at the files all transfering now. "I need to really find her and get my life back... I mean yeah I have my life but..."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Well...," Jessica looks curiously at Carol, she doesn't know how much she remembers if at all. Maybe it was best not to bring up Jewel all over again? It would certainly make Jessica look better, at least temporarily, eventually she decides to go the route of half truths. "You know how Superheroes have their fancy superhero name, and I'm well, Jessica Jones? So it's a play on the concept, like, here, I've got an Alias, and I investigate...it's kind of an inside joke." Or, it's a pretense...maybe there's still a heroic side to Jessica, if she really wills it?

"Whiskey will always make you feel better, particularly the one you will find about my place," Jessica grins, watching Carol with a nice pour of Yamazaki 15.

"Don't worry, we'll get the little girl, and we'll take it from there...I hope for her she was forced..."

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol finishes sending over the files now and looksup from her tablet to study Jessica while she tells her those half truths about the formation of Alias Investigations. There is a chuckle though from her as she sips the nice whiskey, as opposed to the cheap stuff also often around the office. "Okay that is really clever... the secret identity... that I don't really have."

"Well at this point she has to nearly be eighteen or so.... not quite as little since unlike...well.." she looks down at herself. "Eh unlike me I imagine she is probably aging." it is super odd that Carol looks twenty six and has for the last fourteen year or so.

"I hadn't really thought about the fact she may be forced or a victim.. I just need to find her so bad." that whole morality and option leaves her a bit disturbed. "Did you catch my daily bugle interview?"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Yeah...I figured it's a good joke, people seem to like it," Jessica also provides a hint that she packs more than your usual P.I., but only clever people ever pick on that. Too many assholes don't, and promptly get thrown or punched through her front door, which miraculously is completely whole at the moment.

"No...but I'll give it a look, what was it about?" Jess asks, still typing away furiously.

Carol Danvers has posed:
Jessica probably has stock in a door company really at this point, or a special door only Damage Control insurace rider.

Carol smiles though and is just nursing the whiskey not slamming it down. "It is a good one... I wonder if I would have done better though having a secret identity." she frowns. "Oh this intern at the Daily Planet... shit not the Bugle." she bungled that, she will blame the good whikey. "Anyhow .. this intern put out a missed connection ad and wanted to interview me for the Planet's podcast. I think I did all right.. I answered questions about not being dead and heroes... about the election too actually. I hope Stark punts Luther ... he may be a egotistical ass sometimes but he believes in people like me.."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"That actually sounds like an interesting read, I will look it up," Jessica notes as she takes a break from her typing and looks up at Carol. "I can't tell you enough how glad I am to find you alive and well. Mostly. I promise you we will find that little terrorist, and will figure this thing out. I'm with you no matter what, I owe you that much."
