Cast of Characters: Levian, Daisy Johnson

Levian has posed:
Levian: Hello. I've downloaded Flappy Bird. I feel sad for unknown reasons. Flappy Bird is fun. - Sincerely, Levian, 999th Son of an Unknown Demon Lord

Daisy Johnson has posed:
> Thought I had told you about being careful when handling the internet.

A pause and another message > What level have you got to on Flappy Bird anyway? Anything before level 100 is noob status.

Daisy has been lounging at home, worrying about the drama with perhaps having found her mother along with other SHIELD troubles. It does get busy at SHIELD ..., so the distraction seems welcome.

> What's getting you sad? *cry emoji*

Levian has posed:
> It said that Flappy Bird has been downloaded by millions of people. I wanted to understand people more. I suppose these texts are done informally.

Levian has been hanging out on a fire escape again. Fire escapes remind him of hanging out on old abandoned Hell castles, and he still has no home, so it's a nice way to relax.

> I don't know, it's strange. When I came to Earth, I saw a woman and it felt like smelling flowers, looking at colorful flying Earth birds, and feeling the son on my face all at once. So I wanted to be around her. And then I was around her, and I liked it, but when I told her, she said that she won't hold my hand, she'll only hold Lucifer's hand. I didn't see a problem with it, I don't really understand non-violent contact anyway, though she did explain why humans Do it. But anyway, even though it all made perfect logical sense, now I'm sad for some reason.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
> Yes, you don't need to sign all your texts. Unless you are doing a Holt.. Which I guess you won't understand either if you haven't seen B99.

All the references on that text apparently. It's as if she's talking some foreign language that isn't even human! She relaxes back on the couch she shares in Hell's Kitchen with Daredevil, her cat on the prowl and now climbing up her chest.

> I still have a problem in accepting that Lucifer is around. So don't worry, you are not the only one dealing with new stuff. And you are probably feeling something called longing? Missing to be around someone?

Levian has posed:
> That sounds like an evil basement. B99.

Levian sends a photo of the fire escape he's standing on.

> I like standing on these things.

> Maybe. Reminds me of something that a lot of damned souls feel. I'm happy around her but instinctively I have irrational desires, or maybe just new desires. Not being able to hold her hand bothers me, it's very strange. Maybe I'll feel better if I hold my witch goth friend's hand. I've never held a hand before."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
When the photo of the fire escape is sent there is another sent in reply. It shows a small cat, perhaps only a few months old, a russian-blue.

> This is Boxer. And it's a long standing tradition of humans to share photos of their cats. Do a search on the internet for cat photos and you will see what I mean.

> What kind of desires? Holding hands? Spending time with her? Maybe you are more human than you think. Or well, those kind of feelings aren't exclusive to us, there are quite a few alien races around as well who share the same. You are missing out if you have never held a hand.

Levian has posed:
> Human pets are fascinating, as they don't seem to always be for protection. Though I suppose it is possible that the cat transforms into a vicious beast.

> In Hell, I didn't feel these emotions. Maybe Hell doesn't allow it, or maybe it's something demons don't allow, or maybe my species, I don't know. But I now have a theory that I have all human emotions. It's a very scary idea. I've been thinking about human crying, I'm a little afraid of water coming out of my eyes.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
> It all depends whether he has been fed or not. IF he hasn't there is beasting involved indeed.

Daisy smirks while typing out the replies to the demon.

> Human emotiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooooooo--

There is a pause for a time until a new message comes up.

> Sorry, cat decided to type on my phone. And maybe instead of saying human emotions you can just simply say emotions. Perhaps it will be easier for you to do the transition. And nothing wrong with some crying, good to let it out sometimes.

Levian has posed:
> I find a lot of things about Earth and humans to be a little overwhelming. Being on an alien planet, there's apparently movies about it. I was looking around in a place called Target, and there are these little movie boxes. I found one called Farscape and read the box, and it sounds just like what I'm doing. Though I don't have money, so I couldn't get it, and I also don't have a television, or a home. It's all very complicated.

He seems to be on the move now, as he sends a photo of a fly on a window.

> There's a demon lord who's entirely made of these things.

> Emotions, yes. My goth witch friend, I laid my head on her shoulder once. It was very... relaxing. She's the only person I've made non-violent contact with, other than dangerous magical negotiation handshakes. But they don't feel good. By the way, what's Net Flicks and Chill? I was told that it doesn't actually involve ice and a bug net.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
> Human nature is all about exploring new places, and considering how narcissistic we are as a race of course there's a huge plethora of movies and series that you can find about it. It's a trope even, the plucky explorer that gets stuck in a place that's completely new in customs to them.

When the picture of the fly along with the explaining text is sent she replies > Thanks for the mental picture. *Throwing up emoji*

> Netflix and Chill is a popular term for sort of asking someone out to go to your place with the excuse of watching tv. But it won't be watching tv that they'll be doing. More like cuddling together. *joining hearts emoji*

Levian has posed:
> Oh I see. The human custom of mating without immediately having your head eaten or soul devoured. Humans have a lot of interesting traditions.

Levian immediately sends an ad for Deviled Eggs from a store window.

> I want to taste these infernal eggs.

> Also, I think it makes sense that humans make art of themselves. There's art in Hell, at least the part where I'm from. I don't really experience much of the upper class, but I've seen art in castles. Most of what we have where I'm from though, people who are my class, we have a new style of music called heavy metal. We enjoy it a lot. I don't know where they get the guitars, but I've seen evolved imps and the occasional skeleton flying around with them, playing it in the middle of a big battle. It really gives you the feeling of 'ripping and tearing'. Sorry, there's not an English word for that emotion.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
> We may not have had the millenia that perhaps you did to develop them, but yes. If anything we are an imaginative race! You will learn about it eventually.

It takes Daisy a small while to answer but then eventually a new message arrives. "We got heavy metal too, if you ever want to explore the differences between our musics. Of course that ripping and tearing does sound sort of ..., mmm, destructive considering it's coming from the demon. And maybe the word you are looking for is exaltation, or epicness. Or maybe even bloodthirst. I know how it feels. I had had my goth days in the past.

Levian has posed:
> I think Hell evolves with Earth a lot, but it depends on where you are. And sometimes Earth things end up down there. I mostly travelled around the dangerous wastelands where most of the lesser demon hordes lived, but I've seen the larger cities too, even though I didn't really look around them. I don't feel comfortable in Hell cities. I think they lean more toward needing to use politics at every level, rather than simply eating a big monster to assert local dominance. I think I'm too young for politics.

> I think humans definitely understand a lot of intensely violent emotions. And they make things like fast food. Fast food is an intense desecration of life. In many ways, it makes me feel more comfortable knowing that humans also understand visceral demon feelings.

Suddenly there's a link to Frank Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon.

< A long time ago, I found a radio in Hell that kept playing music that sounded like this. I think it came from Earth. Though it stopped working eventually.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
> If you still got that radio around somewhere I am sure it could be repaired. I am quite good where it comes to tech, even old one as that radio probably was.

> Yes, we really tend to not eat people around here, even if they are evil. So better be careful with doing it, our focus here, at least in SHIELD, is more about saving. Of course that if needed.., we can also destroy. Such is our nature afterall.

>And speaking of intense emotions, I need to go get dinner ready for both Boxer and my other half. I am hoping we can talk again in person. I have had your request reach the higher hierarchy, we should have an answer for you soon.

>Have fun in your exploration! You know, you could get a blog going about your earth discoveries. Sort of like a diary of your start of life here in our planet.

Levian has posed:
> I unfortunately don't have any of my things from Hell. I don't really have a way to go back.

> Human society doesn't really require large violent displays. It's actually very relaxing. You can just choose a human hole, or an apartment as you like to call them, give someone money, and then you live there. It's a fascinatingly non-violent process.

> I see. I've heard of blogs. I could ask my witch friend to help me. I like to write things, mostly in my grimoires. I'll show you some time.

He sends a photo of a tree suddenly.

> It's really difficult to tell what humans consider food or not. But anyway, I'll talk to you later.
