Cast of Characters: Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Steve Rogers

Tony Stark has posed:
"Not to worry. I know some muscle," Tony assures Pepper as they park outside. The sleek, shiny white sports car (with angular, sexy black stripes) is only a two-seater, which meant that Pepper was a little crowded in the passenger seat by the robot that occupied one hell of a lot of her footroom.

Tony taps into the Avengers comms, and brightly, cheerfully requests, "Steve, have a minute? We have a patient out here in dire need of a bit of attention, need to get inside."

Said patient, though, is a heavy little drone that used up most of his remaining energy getting into the car. "Here, let me---" Tony comes around to the passenger door, opening it, and trying to help Pepper out without being too squished by the robot. He offers to slide his arm around her back to help, though that may just look like Pepper is the patient to those newly arriving on scene!

Pepper Potts has posed:
Drones are //not// meant to share the space in a two-seater sports car and Patrick? He kept looking at her with those optical arrays, which, in turn, made her put a hand on his head in an attempt to ... why, exactly? To make him feel better? What?

"Ow, Patrick.. no, no.. don't shift your treads.." and it's almost a constant monologue of asking the little 'bot to not dig its treads into her feet and asking Tony not to take turns //too// quickly, or Patrick will shift YET again..

Once they pull in, Pepper is moving blown hair back and around her ears, the bulk of it in a pony tail as Tony moves around to the passenger side. Once the door opens, she's reaching for his hand, trying to maneuver out from under some of the robot, which makes things a little awkward. "Tony... move-- Patrick, stop. No, stay there.. Tony..I just.."

Steve Rogers has posed:
The door to the mansion opens to release one Steve Rogers, looking very much as if he'd been walking briskly to arrive there. In decidedly relaxed clothing today of a plain white t-shirt and jeans, slip-on boater shoes on his feet, he was...painting?

It had to have been painting. There's some beige paint on the shirt as well as his hands, smeared across the backs of them and in a faded swipe from his brow to hairline where he must have had an itch.

"Probably want to call for the med staff if there's a patient, Tony," he calls out as he clatters down the steps and towards the car. "Is that...?" It is Pepper, just about half-squished beneath what appears to be a fairly large drone. "You don't have a bigger car than this, Tony?"

There's a grin for Pepper in her process of extrication and he lingers just in case there is a need for immediate muscle rather than after she's gained her freedom.

Tony Stark has posed:
"No, I don't get to ride in the Fun-V anymore," Tony tosses back without looking at first, as he's busy with trying to help Pepper un-mush herself. "Move that leg there. Patrick, if you move again, I will carry you inside in pieces. Or maybe not, we can take another lawn ornament, I keep saying..."

Pepper's nearly free, but still: "I should have known I could count on you to come out and add some sarcasm to this, instead of some super soldier muscles," Tony //sighs//, but grins towards Steve, "Pull the robot up, would you? He's been through an experience." As if the real one to worry about were the drone.

However, as he lifts Pepper towards him, he does draw her close to his chest, face near her cheek, clearly checking her face for signs of anything, with a concern that is well into something deeper than casual.

Pepper Potts has posed:
As Pepper is huffing softly as she shifts and pulls, bouncing and balancing on one heeled foot for what seems an eternity, Tony's instructions seem to gain the little 'bot's attention. There's a slightly off-kilter *beep* emenating from the floorboard even as Pepper leans and finally pulls her way free from under the treads, leaving a shoe behind as she's gently lifted towards Tony. Once she's in place, green eyes look up at him, and she's got a //face// on, before she laughs. "I'm sure we could have picked a bigger car, yes.." and she's answering both men, really. Still? She's fine, and that smile is decidedly in return of Tony's checking of her.

"I'm fine, Steve," and she only shifts in Tony's arms for the second, not leaving it. "My shoe probably isn't, but if you could help with Patrick, please?"

Steve Rogers has posed:
"Thinking Pepper's more the one having an experience, but sure. Let's see what I can do," the Captain says as he waits for a moment to reach in. A careful lift on his part, utilizing that particular serum-boosted strength, and the drone probably makes a few more random sounds as he then reaches in.

There's Pepper's shoe...for its state of better or worse. Keeping Patrick lifted as carefully as he can to not damage the car's interior, he offers out the shoe. "So what's this particular one designed for? The drone," Steve amends. "You need it out of the car or it's part of the vehicle's decor?" A crooked smile from him, looking between Tony and Pepper now.

Tony Stark has posed:
"You know more about what happened to him than I do," Tony offers the floor of the story to Pepper. Telling a story is a privledge, from Tony's view: getting to regale with something is a gift he's making sure she gets.

Also, that shoe. "I think the shoe is a good part of the decor," Tony teases Pepper, attempting to pick her up to carry her in, too: but he's just playing, he knows she won't let him get far without her shoe, really.

"Let's bring both of them in. Just to be safe." A wink is given to Steve.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper's cheeks pinken just a little regarding that 'having an experience' before she exhales in a soft breath. "Just.. if you could.. don't.. I need my shoe." She's ready to hop and hobble over to get it if no one hands it to her. "Tony..." sounds in a fond, affectionate exhasperated tone, like so many other times before.

"Thank you.."..

As Steve lifts Patrick up and out of his spot, Pepper begins to explain, "He was at my apartment. I have a roommate, and she's been getting mixed up in a little trouble lately."

*beeeee....e..eep*

"Okay, more than a little trouble. My apartment, apparently, looks a little like ground zero.." Pepper pauses, looks to Tony, "May I have my shoe, please?"

Steve Rogers has posed:
The shoe is offered out for Pepper to take, Steve's smile not faded. After all, he needs both hands to maneuver the drone up and out of the car. It does take some finagling -- don't want to hurt the machine or the car, after all. He talks while he does this, words strained with effort here and there in motion-finesse.

"This's more'n enough to keep that little bit of trouble out of your roommate's hair, I'd assume? Feels like it has enough heft to make a wall look like nothing more'n plywood." Up and out of the car and hup: in his arms in whatever manner it takes to carry it without otherwise having issue. "You want this down in the R&D room, Tony?"

Tony Stark has posed:
"The problem had nothing to do with the /robot/," Tony says, aghast at Pepper for suggesting such a thing. "Patrick there is a cleaning bot," Tony points out. "With some bonus Loki-deterrant services, naturally. Otherwise he'd just be a glorified Roomba, and none of my tech is common," Tony chuckles. He waits for the shoe-delivery but doesn't put Pepper down. She can just carry the shoe, they're headed in! For now, anyway. It's a fun game. Or an excuse to mess with Pepper!

"The main lab, actually."

Pepper Potts has posed:
"Thank you," Pepper is holding on to Tony, not because she's in any fear of being let go of, but more for stability. With the reacquisition of her heel, she's more able to correct the record.

"I didn't blame him. My roommate Amanda gets mixed up with things on occasion. I think this is the second," Pepper looks at Tony for a moment for the count before she shakes her head, "Third time the apartment has been ground zero. The first time?" There's a moment of reflection, and she glances back to Tony before she underscores his words, "Loki. Patrick was able to clean up after him." By killing a snake! "Patrick hasn't been the problem. After everything exploded around him, he was trying to clean up all the drywall before it got mixed into the carpet." Loyal to the, well, it's not the end.

She can't help but squeak when they begin to head in, before she laughs, "I can walk, really Tony."

Steve Rogers has posed:
Steve considers the drone anew where it's being carried in his arms as they all move towards the mansion. Enough firepower to deter an Asgardian god of trickery, one he's personally familiar with enough to merit a scowl -- it's impressive.

"Glad it was able to run interference. Doesn't look like much, but packs a punch; that's how the good ones work. I'll get it down to the main labs, Tony. There's some coffee in the kitchen if you need to sit 'nd chat for a bit or rest a leg with some ice on it." This is assuming Pepper's ankles are troubled enough after being mostly squished by the robot. Steve tilts his head towards the area in question as he continues towards the stairs. "Oh, 'nd somebody made muffins earlier, grab one before they're gone," he adds over his shoulder with a quick grin, Patrick surely making sounds of contemplation or peanut-gallery talk as they head for the lab.
