Cast of Characters: Colleen Wing, Elektra Natchios

Colleen Wing has posed:
Not every day is a dark and stormy night. Sometimes it's just cold inside and outside with only a small space heater and physical workouts to keep you warm. That's what Colleen is doing, hitting a punching bag with vigor for oh so many reasons. Not the least of which is the large piles of snow outside or the cold.

The sound of the gun shot still rings in her ears, executing that werewolf. She wonders if it was Elektra that pulled the trigger or if she left it to the vampire. Her punches land harder every time her mind wanders back to this question - why would Elektra want to jump in to an ancient war between two gangs with super powers.

~~ "Perhaps you should ask her yourself." Bakuto swiftly replies, one of his hands moving up and making a gesture as if to say it's all in her hands to seek for those answers or not. "About why she truly wants to find Black Sky. Because where it comes to death ..., her hands are even dirtier than mine." ~~

Colleen wishes she had the strength to punch a hole in this bag, or hit it so hard it jumped off its chain. Something climactic to let out all her frustrations and anger. She lets out a scream of anger at the world and slumps down on to the mats.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
It's been a few days now after what happened in Gotham. The werewolf fight. And no word from Elektra. She is good at that, ghosting people. Or perhaps just letting them work out through most of their anger. She knew it would be useless to be here sooner but tonight is as good of a night as it can be so as Colleen slumps down on the mats she can sight a familiar sillouette right outside the door, that of Elektra. No sound of her arrival though, just her shadow there on the other side of the paper door that leads to the dojo.

One hand turns up to the door and she knocks on the wood, at least mindful to warn Colleen of her arrival instead of just walking in without a care. At least that much she seems to respect the other woman.

"Open up. I know you are in there." Elektra's familiar voice heard and she waiting.

There was a lot they had to talk about, and Elektra was never one to run away from a confrontation when it was called upon. No matter how much those answers might hurt in the end.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen rises swiftly off the mats and starts to unwrap her hands. She approaches the door and opens it and pointedly stares at Elektra, "I'm still angry with you." She turns to let her walk in as she finishes unwrapping one hand, then begins on the second.

"Where have you been. Are you a vampire yet?," she says tersely and enters the small kitchenette to put the kettle on for tea. Passive Aggressive today, though verging on aggressive. She walks back out to the mats and tosses the second set of wraps in to the bin, then folds her arms.

"Or did you decide to become a furry lichen. WHICH," she stresses, "is a really weird name."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Yes, I'm quite fine. And I did survive after you left." No thanks to you! But that part goes unsaid, Elektra's stern gaze just resting on the younger woman for a brief time before she makes her way in. The way she keeps her shoulder appears to still be a tad awkward, as if it wasn't fully healed as of yet after the scuffle. A glance goes about the dojo, and the house. Still all in the same place.. "I see some things never change.." her dojo always the same. Colleen thinking she knows all about what's right and wrong.. Two people can play the passive aggressive game! And Elektra can be quite the master.

"If I was a vampire now perhaps you shouldn't had invited me in, mmm?" And well, she could be. Bit of a darker makeup tonight, darker clothing with black jeans and that leather jacket, the hair up in a warrior's knot. Just missing those pointy teeth! "Also, they are called lycans." a sigh. "And they are a plague on mankind.."

She makes way to that bag Colleen was hitting, watching as it still swings lightly and she places one hand on it.

Eventually a sigh escapes her lips, "What are you angry with me about?"

Colleen Wing has posed:
"What? How do you need to ask that?," she says and presses her lips in to a tight line. "You've cheerfully walked in to yet another endless war between monsters. The Hand isn't enough for you, you decide to take on vampires and werewolves. Elektra, you can't say lycan's are a plague on mankind and not also say vampire's are a plague on mankind."

She folds her arms tightly again and says, "It took me barely a second to realise she's an utter zealot. She's clearly been fighting this war so long she hasn't looked up and noticed the world has evolved. She said there was no cure, she didn't even try. Let alone the notion we should be killing her too if we're going to worry about plagues on mankind..."

She clenches her fists and says, "And the worst part about all this? Bakuto warned me!" Which is truly something that hurts her brain. "Not this specifically, but that you're.. like this." She sets her jaw, ready to ask something she knows is going to cause problems, "Why do you care so much about Black Sky?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Why can't I say that...?" Elektra cants her head to the side, "At least the vampire isn't out to get us, nor is killing people without discriminating. In fact, our objectives seem to align." a shrug then following it. "Not saying the others might not even worse than the lycans, but so far she is giving me no reason to go against her."

About she being a zealot, well... "Zealots have their uses regardless. Still, there might be something more to her that we have yet to figure out. It's not like you to not give people a chance. Or giving up so easily." her hand is still on the punching bag, she making it swing just so before stepping to the side. A brow arches. "Listening to Bakuto now, are you?" she asks, letting that sink in. "You know how that usually ends.." her tone remains levelled, perfectly levelled. Which means that most likely she is getting angry. "Are you so naive as to think I got into this because I have an interest between the fight between vampires and lycans?" she shakes her head. "Imagine those lycans got what they wanted, that they were able to bring their gift into the ranks of the Hand. Imagine the Hand with access to lycanthropy. Do you really think that's something I will let happen? There is always a bigger picture in play. You should know better.."

The subject shift to Black Sky has her frown a touch. But she answers, perhaps one of the few openly sincere things she has ever spoken. "To win the war, of course."

Colleen Wing has posed:
She shakes her head, "So she's using you and you're using her. You can't trust her Elektra. Aligned or not. She's a literal blood sucking monster. May be she doesn't kill, that doesn't mean her kind don't. All those stories about vampires can't have come from no where, not when they're really real."

She frowns and says, "And those foolish furballs were eating out of our figurative hand before the trap was sprung. But you know what's better than extermination? cure. We should have captured that Lycan and then found one of those super heroes who are smart to fix them. May be the Fantastic Four. I don't know. We're Defenders - we have some actual pull now."

She furrows her brow and then says, "I don't _want_ to listen to Bakuto, but he has a way of saying the relevant things at the worst possible time, so ...win the war? what war? What IS black sky? and how can you win a war with it?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Trust? Now that's an alien word where it comes Elektra. Even if as of late she has found some contact with that word. But it's all close encounters of the third kind mainly, and most often with Matthew or Colleen. "I don't trust her." a small shake of her head given. She could had went as far as saying she doesn't trust anybody. But that wouldn't exactly be true.

"And how would we keep him captive until we could bring it to the .., Fantastic Four, or whatever else miraculous team that will solve all our problems? Perhaps keep it here in the dojo?" She wonders, "We live in the real world, Colleen. There are no miracles, you know we did what we had to do."

She now turns to fully watch Colleen, her dark eyes taking note of the other's posture, gaze narrowing just so. "The Black Sky is a weapon. I already told you this. One the Hand wants to use to take over the world, and win.." she murmurs, not that she actually answers about what *the* war is. "Stopping them from taking it is what I have been doing." her tone almost as if it was a mission she had. "All -I- do is towards that end. The lycans, the vampires..., they do not matter in the grand scheme of things, but if they will get us the allies we need, I will do what must be done. The same way I imagine Selene is doing. She needs allies as well."

Colleen Wing has posed:
"This is not a good trade Elektra. Helping fight in a war against werewolves for a little information on a vampire who killed three people in a park and kidnapped another..." she says and lets out a long defeated sigh. What is it with Elektra and Bakuto who so manage to rile her up and also deflate her at the same time.

"You know I'm right though. We should tell someone who knows biology about what we've found out. Selene might not be an enemy now but perhaps she becomes one when she's done with us. We'd need a way to combat not just her then, but also the big Lycan enemy we've prodded in the side. Yay us."

The kettle whistles and she turns and heads around back, then makes a delicacy - two minute noodles. "I'm angry that we executed an idiot who didn't know any better. Just a stupid punk who got in with the wrong crowd. You know I know what that feels like and how many youths have I helped get away from The Hand? A lot. Everyone deserves a second chance. Everyone."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"It's not all about that." In fact, Elektra isn't *that* concerned about those. "But you saw her fight. I believe she can help us in the battles to come in the future. I can spot a lone gun when I find one, Colleen." she had found Colleen too afterall, and adopted her in her own manner. Not that she'd never admit so.

But then the harsh truth about Elektra comes out. "I don't care. About saving Lycans." and that's what she is about, "I care about saving the people important to me.." which is an advancement to the past, "Now if you are talking about weapons to fight them, already taking care of that. Silver appears to work."

"Are you so sure that there is such a personality change when they turn? Perhaps it was a murderous person already. We know it was a mutant, maybe it even took the gift on purpose."

"We can't go around saving everyone, Colleen. There is something larger at work here. If we lose our focus the losses will be *much* bigger." She is silent for a moment after saying those words before finally adding, "Your idealism is perhaps one of your greatest strengths. But one day you will find out the world isn't black and white. Sometimes we need to do things for a greater good."

Colleen Wing has posed:
She pours the noodles in to bowls and offers some to Elektra. Cheap wooden chopsticks. This is the usual affair when it's not take out. She sits down lazily on a chair, askew, one leg tugged up with foot flat against thigh. "The greater good would be curing them all."

"And yes, I understand I don't know how to do that, or know anyone who would know how to do that. But we can't afford to fight two wars. The Hand and the Lycans. We don't know how big of a battle we're getting ourselves in to. ...and that werewolf practically surrendered. What will you do if one actually surrenders and asks for our help?"

"We should talk to Matt about this. At the very least he needs to know that The Hand is probably pursuing these creatures and that could totally change the nature of our fights. Silver. Hm."

She glances over at her family sword, "My sword worked just fine on that first one, but we wouldn't have gotten that chance without the silver daggers." She scoops up noodles and sucks them in Japanese style - noisily. It helps cool them down as they go in. Much better than gently blowing on them.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Even with the kind of life that Elektra has lived, being the 'daughter' of an ambassador she knows how it is going without good food, or any food at all. So the offer for noodles? She takes it gladly. And she takes it for what it is. That she is forgiven, for now. So she indulges in a faint smile, surprising herself for feeling a touch relieved. Since when did she care about Colleen's approval?

Regardless, she sits down on the couch as well, eating the noodles in a rather practical manner too, "If it attempts to kill us before asking for help? I will kill it." simply put, and the truth. She rarely leaves a foe alive. Hard indocrination from both Stick and the Hand. Never leave an enemy alive that can come back and stab you in the back. But that's Elektra, the assassin.

The subject then changes, or perhaps it's a continuation of what they were speaking of. "You won't be able to defeat Bakuto until you are prepared to kill." She tells her.

Colleen Wing has posed:
There's a small twitch of doubt as she is told she will need to be able to kill Bakuto. "He knows that," she adds and stuffs more noodles in to her mouth. "He counts on that," she says in such a way to suggest that perhaps he has almost passed that tipping point where a good beheading might be in order.

"That's not the defenders way though," she says flatly and then for a touch of humor she says, "Consider the disapproving looks Matt will give us." She smirks a moment and then peers at Elektra. Slightly forgiven, not entirely. She holds grudges a really long time.

"We need better silver weapons if we're going to help that crazy vampire woman fight a war. I don't want to be jumped by vengeful Lycans in an alleyway. Also, we need answers about those three dead from the park... and you need to tell me more about this weapon. Because Bakuto knows I don't know and I hate feeling like I'm in the dark Elektra." She shakes a moment as a chill runs down her spine, "I really really hate being left ignorant."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Of course he does." Elektra says with a small nod. "He is perhaps as good as me." she admits before shaking her head, "This is not about the Defenders, or about Matthew. It's about you and surviving. Or are you going to let Bakuto have the last laugh?" she lets out a sigh. "The defenders way may not help you in this. But it's perhaps enough about my lectures for tonight, there is much you will need to figure out on your own as well."

Elektra nods about the better silver weapons. "I know a few people. Matthew has a man too, he helped craft part of my armor." she says, "A master. Perhaps he can get us those better weapons. But if not, I have my own contacts too." she nods about those three in the park. "What should we do next? Investigate the men that were killed perhaps? When I find Selene again I will ask about her help in it."

"As for Black Sky ... I wish I knew more.. But it's been mostly smoke and mirrors, we have found a few things, some artifacts, weapons, all pertaining to Black Sky. I even got a couple of wakizachis back at my place imprinted with their symbol, but they are not exactly a weapon on their own... Or at least not what wea re looking for." a beat. "But I feel as if they may have done some breakthrough, if you had Bakuto telling you openly about the weapon.. We will need to investigate." she doesn't hide her concern, it visible on her features.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen goes silent for a little while, having tentatively just agreed to become a werewolf hunter with Elektra, without the Defenders being involved. Today just took a weird turn. She was so set on being angry for at least a few more days. But now she's thinking with her head again instead of thinking with her heart.

"Bakuto must know something we don't," she says. "He's fishing, hopes me talking to you will help him find it, but I bet he knows what he's looking for. He always knows something - he likes to..." She twists her lips and plays with the noodles a bit, "tell me things of importance just to show me how much better a mentor he would be for me."

She glances up at Elektra, "He won't take no for an answer, even now at odds he's still trying to be my teacher." Snap, one of the chopsticks breaks from her pent up frustrations on the matter. She sets it aside and picks up another set of cheap wooden chopsticks and stuffs noodles in to her mouth.

"I should use that. I should ask him for help and let him 'show me' how much of a provider he can be." She frowns though, the thought of pretending to be one of them again sickens her to her core. "It would get us answers."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"That's always been his strength. Knowing more than the others around him. Whatever he knows is important but ..." And Elektra just frowns a touch. "You cannot deceive him. He will see through you. And you might just play into what he wants. Though maybe we can use it.." Elektra already considering plans while nibbling through the noodles, eyes turning to a wall and she staying silent for a time.

"Using his hubris against himself. Yes, it might just work." She eventually speaks up again, finishing up with the noodles and setting the package aside. She gets up to her feet.

"One step at a time though. Lets first amass our allies and then proceed. And don't be so angry..." Her eyes turning down to that broken chopstick. "... Or you might just get wrinkles before you even break 30 years old.." a bit of a jest to clear the air but then she begins to walk to the door.

"We will talk again soon, Colleen. You also know where I live, so don't be a stranger. You can come in anytime you wish." She says over her shoulder.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen smirks a moment and asks, "The small penthouse?" She knows that's an ongoing in joke. Elektra is complex dichotomies. Socialite, assassin, rich, hungry for 2 minute noodles. "I'll remember to buy some anti-wrinkle cream tomorrow," she says wryly. "I'm sorry I left you in Gotham. I'm glad you got home. I was ... really upset. I'm not going to be an executioner for some cold skinned blood sucker."

She lifts up some noodles and eats, "But I will use one to hurt The Hand." She nods her head, "So I guess I'm in." She sighs though, things are about to get messier. While Bakuto 'personally' tries to take care of his enemies in New York City, she's helping Elektra make powerful allies.

"I think you're right, if we can sneak in to the morgue with her, may be she can tell us what or who we're dealing with. For those dead business men that is. May be she'll have an idea on motive, if a fourth person was abducted."
