Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Hank Pym, Shannon Davis

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Considering matters, saying someone or something is in the East Side area may narrow potential locations down some, but not by much. Manhattan is long and all that length to the East side is? just that. But New Yorkers know that there is an upper, mid-, and lower east side. Most people have the sense to add the upper or the lower when they are trying to distinguish.

Which is what leads to this area. The MIDDLE East Side. Home to several notable businesses and government buildings it is sometimes hard to notice the residential stuff in the area. Amongst the cool granite and stone monstrosities, we have the darker toned churches and the older residential buildings of red brick. The age of the buildings does lead to the need for some maintenance work. This is apparent from a few bits of scaffolding jutting out from some of the structures and the boarded-up walkways hiding the view of the lower floors. Several signs along the way indicate to instead access a few of the buildings from the back or the side.

With it being Sunday evening. The business buildings are experiencing a tad less foot traffic while a few of the residential buildings are experiencing a bit more. It's reasonably calm, by New York Standards. Even the construction sounds have given today a rest.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym,having arrived via Rover with Shannon Davis, looks around. He looks at the boarded up buildings seeking a brick structure, possibly where work was halted or about to be demolished. He throws a few thoughtcasts to the city insects looking at a picture of Gellar for reference. The ant he spoke to, has to be around somewhere. He shows Shannon the picture of Gellar.

"This man is a killer. stay with me, and do what I say... or I'll get my daughter to beat your behind. And she'd make you look bad doing it, understand?"

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis was rubbing her hands with an excited smile. "I'll make HIM look bad, without your daughter. It is time tfor name-in-progress to show what she can do. Of course, as always, she had managed a way to drag her weighted rope with her, the absolute weapon of mass destruction. "Don't worry, I can totally handle myself now. Lots of experience already." Though she had only been in combat twice.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Killer good looks he means... The man pictured is blonde and around doppelRod's age. Barely past 30. Sure. He's got a bit of scruff to the short hair and the look in his eyes is a bit unsettling but- that could very well be the poor footage quality of the security system.

If the ant from last time is around, he either didn't hear him or- Oh hey! Nevermind. Hank is greeted with the picture of a frowny scruffy blonde man owie face.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym looks around so more and decides on a building. He pulls a small handheld sensor out of his belt and activates it sweeping the building carefully from concealment. "Stay out of sight. I'm going to go in... I should have packed my civvies for this... all right, you STAY behind me. Watch our backs. We'll try the alleyway."

"What should I call you? Did you decide?" he asks, while eyeing the structure.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis lets out an almost alien growl of frustration. "No, I just can't figure out what represents me properly. I guess it can be Ant-something while I haven't fully situated my hero personality and figured out my powers." She replies, sighing afterwards, she had really hoped this would be quicker process. Then again she handn't started learning from all the different people she wanted yet. She slides behind Hank and takes point looking over behind.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The building Pym chooses is a pretty good candidate based off the search criteria he's established. It appears to be a brick structure. The front door is blocked off by boards and there is no matching sign prompting people to try alternative entrances. Very promising indeed.

As he makes his way down an alleyway it becomes apparent that the building actually has two tones of brick to it. A visible difference between the old structure of the bottom floors and the newer brick of the upper floors. But to add to that-

The ant gives Hank another image of the frowny man amongst the brick. Which... looks suspiciously similar in tone to part of the building.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym comes to a boarded up window and spots a handy crack between the boards. "I'm going to go in and open that door for you. Stay here." With that he shrinks down and hops up to the window. He sticks his head between the boards. . o O (It's the suspense that gets me. It's really astonishing.)

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis emphasizes how it would be much easier if she had the full set of gear at her disposal right now, huffing at the end. STill she has no choice but to wait until the door is open, but she has the feeling Hank is going to get caught up with something inside, and starts devising a plan of entry of her own.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The inside of the building as Hank goes in is a little sparse. While the walls that need to be are in place. Most everything is stripped away but not in the manner reminiscent of a full out demolition. It is precise and reeks of rennovation that has been halted for some reason or another. On the bright side it means there isn't anyone to react to any suddenly growing Hanks that may show up at the window.

But its also so very still. Quiet even.

The images form the ant seems more of a clip show of previous episoes Hank has already seen as he gets treated to the same images. Frowny Scruffy blond guy. Brick. Grid Wire. A few extra things get thrown into the end. Pipes. Trunk.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym shrinks some more and enters through the crack. He listens and regrows to unlock the door for Shannon. Pipes. A trunk. Basement? He looks for footprints in dust or dirt. Listening, listening.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis enters via the door, sliding inside very carefully and looking around. She doesn't say anything, she wants to catch the guy off guard and absolutely annhilate him with no hesitation. She pictures it in her mind, which makes her grin dumbly as she follows around.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Even with caution there is a slight powdering of the smallest types of debri. The accumulated faint etchings of varied shoe types dart back and forth from section of building to section of building. Much of the traffic leads over to the stairwell but splits in terms of direction. Some steps going up while others go down. The most recent markings seem to be that of some vintage shoe marks paired with something being drug to the stairwell. Several small wheel marks also are recently fresh looking.

Frowny Scruffy blond guy. Brick. Grid Wire. Pipes. Trunk. Padlock.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym moves to the stairwell and listens. A trunk, on wheels? Dragged downstairs? Did a man drag an unconscious Wade down there? Shoe marks... Earth shoes? Hah. Gotcha Gellar. He shrinks to begin hopping down the stairs, holding his tiny sensor before him. He waits a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dark.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis is anticipating this very much, she lightly twirls the weight in her hand using the rope, ready to smash the shit out of any criminals. Yet this is taking longer than she expected, she wants to voice this but she feels talking would be excessive amounts of sound for the situation they're in.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Hank reaches the bottom of the steps he comes across a double bolt door but a cursory attempt of the door would indicate it not to be locked. There appears to be damage to the door.

A glance beyond the door reveals the rest of the basement with the barest sense of illumination in the room.

It is hard to get a read of the room.

"Beep Beep." Goes the EEG sensor.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym silences and pockets the sensor. He needed a vibrate setting for real. The Master of Many Sizes takes a leap bringing him to the damaged door? Did a knife cause that damage? He sticks his head under the door to take a better look on the other, lighted side. Master of Many Sizes... who started that? Probably Tony.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis was getting more frustrated by the moment here, nothing was happening, it seemed like just an old, crappy place. Still she was stuck checking their backs just in case some psycho showed up with a gun or something like that, which she really hoped would happen, it sounded exciting. She taps a foot lightly while waiting for Hank to do his thing.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Based from the damage, some type of blade was likely involved. The inside of the basement level is rather dark. But just the slightest of light gives the outline of a light switch on the wall.

As Shannon watches Hank's back. There's nothing really going on there. But, there's the slightest creaking sound from above.

The ant is ever so helpful as he continues droning on and on... Frowny Scruffy blond guy. Brick. Grid Wire. Pipes. Trunk. Padlock. Ant-man! Lady?

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym hears the creak and swears to himself. The building is being renovated. There can be exposed pipes on any and all floors. He prepares to head upstairs but still wants a look under that door. He gives the ant a well done. He sticks his head under the door.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis has to fight the temptation to shoot her weight straight at the source of the creaking. She looks backwards to Hank and pauses to consider for a moment, before just sighing. "Will you hurry up? Holy crap this is so slow." She whispers as low as she can, crouching a bit. She was now actively fighting the temptation to just start busting her way in and shouting to attract the guy.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Hank peers under the door he finds an ant staring back at Pym. Frowny scruffy blonde guy. Brick. Grid Wire. Pipes. Trunk. Padlock. Ant-man! Crumb. Pipes. Trunk. Dark. Lightswitch. Cone hat. Ant-man.

The room is indeed dark with only the faintest of light eeping through to give a semblance of large, yet not fully solid boxy shadows.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym pulls a sugar cube from his pocket, enlarging it as he grows. He pulls his phone out to use the flashlight setting and take a last look, stepping carefully. He sweeps the beam around once quickly and keeps moving as he does.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis grumbles under her breath, she was not doing well in the patience department, as impulsive as she as. She swings her weight around in circles again, holding it off to her side as she gets closer to just shooting it through something and seeing if that attracts the correct type of attention. "What in the hell are we even doing?" She says with a normal voice.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
At the introduction of the flashlight setting, more definition is given to the basement area. The red brick wall certainly matches what the ant has been describing. And while much of the building has been stripped it appears most of the basement has been left untouched in terms of furnishings. There are still unlocked residential storage cages dotting alongside the wall to the right of the doorway. They are mostly empty save for a rolling suitcase shoved into one.

To the left and further up forward, a much larger L-shaped cage guards the stuff residents have no business sorting through. Access to some of the utilities plus shelves full of maintenance and cleaning supplies that obscure the far back of the storage area. The door to that area has a rather fresh looking padlock holding it shut.

As Shannon speaks up. There's another creak coming from above.

Crumb!

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym says, "Oh crap... wait... you don't lock up a corpse! Wade?" Hank opens the door he came under. "Shannon! Get down here, help me find the lights. Turns out I made a good call. Wade? Wade? It's Goliath... I'm a friend of Mike. Are you here? I came to get you out." He keeps looking for the light switch. By reflex he grows to the ten foot mark, stooping a little.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis approaches very excitedly, seeing the locked door and the padlock, she grins, this was her time. "Step away, Hank." She says calmly as she holds the padlock so that the underside of it is facing AWAY from the door. She then takes off a glove then plants a finger on the TOP of the padlock. Her power activates which rapidly accelerates the padlock. At first it just clanks a little bit with a metallic sound, but as it speeds up incredibly fast it starts to creak until it goes flying off entirely.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The ant isn't as wordy as before as he enjoys his reward. Oh Sweet success.

As Hank grows, he gets a better glimpse of the storage areas, giving a bit of a view of the upper parts of the cages and shelves. It also grants him a new vantage point, seeing the other side of the shelves where a large wood and metal trunk is sitting oddly in the center of the larger storage area. Also padlocked.

Shannon's approach to the padlock does present an award as the majority of the lock goes smacking into the floor. It bounces slightly due to the force in which it broke off, making for a loud noise.

There's another creak upstairs before the sound of footsteps running soon follow. Then silence.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym sees Shannon dispose of the lock and gives her an encouraging pat on the head, which wasn't what he intended but at eight feet tall your perceptions change. He gives her a smile then reaches for the storage area gat and rips it open without pause. He goes through it and proceeds towards the trunk. Okay, you might lock up a body if you didn't want it found for a while, genius. No ants would smell a dead body and flock to it as a food source... but it is cold.

"Shannon stay out of the storage cage and watch the stairs." Because I may not want you to see this. He tears the lid off the trunk. So this all falls under breaking and entering, burglary. He better be right.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis slides onwards to the stairs, her weighted rope takes a more aggressive stance, being held close to her ungloved hand, ready to be launched at a moment's notice, she felt almost like a ninja sneaking around like this. The good side is that she was being very attentive for anything or anyone coming in. The bad side was that no matter *who* it was, they were getting a lead disk launched at their head if they showed up there.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
With the gargantuan pull of Goliath's administered upon the trunk. There's a creak of protest from the metal parts of the storage unit. Metal giving way the wood lid pops off. Inside a body rests curled up. Head thunking against the wall as the force of the lid removal causes for the blonde's body to shift and a slight groan to come from the lips.

Wade Shaw is pretty worse for wear as the skin tone is not quite constant throughout now. An eye is swollen up, lip split, his wrists and ankles look a bit raw around where the zipties are positioned. And if this wasn't bad enough- His shoes are missing. The NERVE.

As Shannon waits for someone to come from above, she is greeted instead with the sound of a door opening and closing.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym hears the noise. Big ears. He turns to exit the storage are and hands Shannon a very large phone. "Call for an ambulance. I'll deal with Gellar. I have had enough of evil fucking doubles." With that he begins shrinking. Almost vanishing from sight, but not if you knew where to look. A tiny figure waits at the foot of the stairs. Tiny knuckles are cracked. Several ants come out to back him up.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis tries to figure out how to work this giant phone, she kind of awkwardly presses the numbers, thank god it's only three. With the dialing nearly turning her deaf, she waits for the operator then starts describing the address and the need for an ambulance. Though there was no way in hell she was missing out on this, as soon as she's done she rushes after Hank.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
And so. With Emergency Medical Services alerted to the body in the trunk, leaving the teetering in and out of conciousness man to fend for himself while Shannon gives pursuit to the tiny ant man.

Wade doesn't do much except pass out in the trunk, yet again.

The narcing ant looks sadly to the recently acquired sugar cube before following after Hank. Aphid juice.

Outside a blonde, who bears a striking resemblance to the man in the trunk, moves quickly down the sidewalk. Not wishing to draw attention to himself, he doesn't run but moves with a brisk pace that could be considered New York style. There is no darting as he heads straight towards the entrance to a subway station.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym hears the footsteps retreating. "Well cone hat yet again!" Hank makes his leaps up the stair moving very quickly. He throws a broadcast to the ants in the subway, active from the heating to report Gellar's position to him. Don't say upright. As he exits the building Hank begins growing again, slowly. Child-sized at the door. Adult sized as he's halfway down the alley, economy size as he exits and looks for Gellar. The huge man skirts the tiny people on the sidewalk. "GELLAR!" he yells.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis slips out, it's easy to find the giant shouting man. She looks around but she's not even sure who to look for, so she simply holds her lead disk menacingly with squinted eyes and slowly steps towards Hank. Her eyes scan the crowd, particularly for people approaching their way directly.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Hank is rewarded with several message Pipes. Wood. Cars. Blonde man.

The yelled out name causes for several to startle, glancing over to the man who is yelling while the darker clothed persons give nary a glance Hank's way.

The blonde man doesn't look back as he crosses the street, nearing the side of the subway entrance. Hands slipping into jacket pockets as he does so.

Hank is gifted with the mental image of the walking man icon that is lit up at the corner of the street.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym almost yells aha as he runs out to the street. He leaps over a car and almost cracks the pavement as he hits the ground running. Grrr. As he closes on the man he reaches a hand to grab him by the collar of his jacket.

//Thank you, little friends.//

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis places a hand over her forehead, she definitely cannot do that. She looks both ways across the street and instead just waits for the street sign to turn green so she can cross without dying. She wasn't particularly in the mood to dodge cars, it wasn't the kind of heroicism she was seeking.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The sound of someone large hitting the pavement is NOT lost on Gellar as his calm pace becomes much quicker. He bolts for the subway entrance with a surprising speed that would assuredly help him get away.

If the guy reaching for him didn't have such a massive arm length.

Hank manages to get the slightest of grips on part of the jacket and combined with the added burst of speed from Gellar it's just enough to start a Rube Goldberg-esque result. His feet are going one way but the upper half of his body is guided in the other by the tug of the Goliath. With no legs supporting the majority of his weight, Gellar falls back. Landing face up on the ground. There's a momentary look of shock before Gellar looks to Hank. The expression twists, scowling.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym places his hand on the man's chest, causing him to behave like a scruffy blond whoopee cushion. "You like breathing, right? Keep your hands where I can see them or I arrange a meeting between your belly button and your spine. Do we understand each other, you sadistic piece of crap? Oh and while I'm at it..." He pulls his scanner out and aims it at Gellar.

"Bingo! It works!"

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis slowly slides over to Hank once he has the dude down, staring at him on the floor then back at Hank. "Hrm." She doesn't seem pleased that she didn't participate in glorious combat, or even get to knock him out with a clunk to the head. "So is that it, then? That was pretty easy!"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Gellar wheezes, as Hank presses down. As he landed with his hands still in his pockets. He gives the widest eyes in reaction before nodding. Pulling one hand out, palm upwards to reveal it empty.

As quickly as his expression changed one way, it switches back as the other hand comes out and moves quickly. Knife in hand, Gellar swings it for the area just under the helmet.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis makes a sound that was halfway through surprise and victory, also satisfaction. She simply has to lift the lead disk towards the particular location she wants to hit, the man's head in this case, and concentrate. Careful not to turn him into a vegetable she fires, THUNK echoes across the street as the roped weight is propelled.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Before the knife can connect Gellar's head turns with force as Shannon konks him on the head. As Gellar's head falls back onto the pavement out cold, the knife falls too. Wedging itself into his arm. Ah Karma.

Off to the distance there is the sound of an ambulance and police car pulling up. With a description like the one Shannon gave, there was no way they weren't going to clear the scene first. All that's left is the boring witness statements and paperwork while Wade, and Gellar get the respective treatment they need.
