At a Park
Date of Scene: 14 February 2021
Location: A small public park in New York
Synopsis: Jovian saves Alison's wallet. She gives him backstage tickets.
Cast of Characters: Jovian Anderson, Alison Blaire

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian is jogging, trying to work off steam. As he thinks about the conversation he had with tea earlier, he is working his brain on ways to take down his dopple and who would he heavy enough to help but not heavy enough that they wont be saving a plane full of people or the galaxy or something. His breath frosts a bit as he moves into the park.

Alison Blaire has posed:
The park is a nice place to work out, yes. It is an even nicer place to have your picture taken with fans as you try and walk across it. Ali is currently in a half embrace with a grinning fan, giving a smile to the camera that the girl holds. "Cheese!" she says, and then the camera clicks a few times, and she lets her go, saying, "Thank you for listening to my music, it means the world to me. And keep an eye out, I will be announcing my next tour next week!" She straightens up, and then starts to saunter further up the path she is walking.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian runs quite well and is dextrous enough not to run into the sauntering celebrity with the adorable crowd but does stop, since some reflects stop and quietly grabs the wrist of a young man who is reaching to steal something off Alison and says, "Really dude? Maybe you should j-" and the youth runs away like a bat out of hell. Jovian does not persue since technically nothing happened.

Alison Blaire has posed:
The woman did not notice the hand in the pocket of her parka. FORTUNATELY it's not like she had much in there that was important, but as a celebrity even a pair of ear buds that could be sold as 'worn by Alison Blaire' would fetch a nice markup on E-Bay. She looks over at the commotion as the boy darts away. She doesn't chase, but for a half a moment she looks rather disappointed, before she turns her gaze to Jovian, "My hero," she says with a sincere smile, "Thank you for stopping him from robbing me like that."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "Kids do stupid things. He likely just randomly thought about it at the last moment. I've worked enough VIP duty to know how much it can suck to have klepto from the help. After a while you learn to kind of see a look in the eye when someone decides a life of crime is a good idea until they sit for 5 hours waiting in the mall security office." he grins and shakes his head, "Penny ante nonsense. All good"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I...see." Ali replies to Jovian's explanation of how he saw the kid snatching her item. She says by way of introduction, "Well, thank you nonetheless. Alison Blaire," and then she holds out a hand for him to shake.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian shakes her hand and smiles, "No worries. Pleased to meet you, Jovian Anderson. I was in the secret service once." He is mainly trying to be Not a Cop, or pretend he is batman. Or Dimestore Batman or whatever. "Some of your music is very fun. Not that I am that knowledgable about music.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Her handshake is firm, not like a celebrity's usually is, like they are tired of shaking people's hands. Nope, nice and firm. Hank Hill would approve. She grins at the compliment of her music, "Why thank you. I am always happy to hear when people enjoy my music. And, Jovian is quite the name, what's the history behind it, if you don't mind me asking?"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "My parents were academics, my father after retiring from the military and my mother ...well always was. They wanted names that stood out but werent made up." He shrugs and smiles, "My father's name was Bob, so he didnt want to 'inflict' that on his kids""

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Well, he certainly didn't do that. Not that I think Jovian is an affliction. It's a very auspicious name, especially if you read ancient poetry." She's a songwriter, she has read a /lot/ of poetry for inspiration. "So, former Secret Service...what now?" she asks. "Private security?"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "Auspicious?" He considers that a moment, "I have never had it referred to that way, thank you. I cant take credit for it but like the term. Now I ...." he flips out a card, "Bounty hunting mainly. Bodyguarding sometimes. Other....things...sometimes. My 'monicker' is Bolo."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Other things? Such as?" She asks, raising an eyebrow at that comment. She turns for a moment to smile and speak with another fan, though most seem to be filtering past now. It IS New York City after all. There are enough celebrities around that you don't have to hound EVERY one you see. She turns back to Jovian, and then says, "Can we go somewhere a little..warmer? Sorry. I didn't expect to get caught out like this."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "I think the proper term is 'Mercinary' but nothing like Wetwork or the like. Only a few things like that, its not my 'forte' but it CAN pay a lot better than anything but metahuman bounties and yes, warmer is better." He points to a coffee shop nearby but seems open to ...anywhere."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Coffeeshop is close and has coffee. She nods at the pointing, and starts to walk in that direction, "I didn't know mercenaries took super hero names," she comments, looking sidelong at Jovian as they walk.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian nods, "There is a whole tiered market. There are people who do it and die quickly because they're basically cosplayers fighting supervillains. Even 3rd tiered ones, then people who are really really you know 'costumes' who whether they have powers or not...then there are regular professionals who try to get the better rates that costumes gets. Have Costume will travel. Got mine actually custom made." He moves with her to place of coffee and out of cold.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire walks through the door that Jovian holds open and says, "Thank you," and then strides to the counter to order a hot chocolate. With whipped cream. And chocolate drizzle. She's going to pay for this later at the gym but she's going indulge a bit. She to Jovian, "Whatever you'd like," indicating that she is paying for his drink, or anything else he could want. She could probably buy the coffee shop if he wished, but that MIGHT be pushing it.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian does the same but isnt anywhere near as worried about the calories. Male metabolisms are evil. He sips and enjoys it. He does add a single donut since, well he likes donuts. He smiles, "Thank you, that's kind of you. I dont normally do 'rewards' since you legally cant as secret service so old instinct die hard, but as I happen to enjoy hot chocolate happy to, plus people dont understand that its good to LET people do things like that sometimes.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh, well, I always believe in giving a good reward for a job well done." She replies with a wink. Surely that's a practiced move and not an actual attempt at flirting. She then motions to an open table, and goes to sit, "So, you're a costumed hero, doing mercenary work. How do I know I'm not being set up for a kidnapping, right now?" she asks, before she takes a long sip of her drink, considering Jovian over the rim of her cup.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian is admittedly a bit non plussed by the wink but does seem to enjoy it. He's seen skilled practiced musicians DO things like that but never was an expert on non verbal communication. "Hero.....well, I've worked with heroes." He shrugs, "I dont patrol or do things heroes do. I've worked with an seen heroes so thats a term I am reluctant to use. And the main way you know you're not being set up for a kidnapping is that the most likely way to do it would be a small child or young woman. A man who has shown combat prowess is way to obvious. Trust me, I've stopped a lot of kidnapping attempts.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire hmms for a moment, "Fair enough." She takes another long sip of her drink, and then asks, "What's your girlfriend like? Or wife?" Is she fishing for information?

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian does not sputter out his coffee but does manage to smile and blink is that a a blush, "Er, no girlfriend or wife. There is someone I recently had a nice date with but that isnt a girlfirend. Frankly, my lifestyle would be hell on a girlfriend. Law enforcenemnt is stressful enough for most

Alison Blaire has posed:
"If she's a fan, take her to my next concert here. Tickets will be at will call for you both. Back stage passes as well. Might as well make it a night for her to remember and you to get lucky." Ali says with a wink, before her phone buzzes in her pocket, and she tugs it out to look at it. She sighs, "And, no rest for the weary. I need to get moving to get to choreography. They're apparently ready for me to show up and shake my money maker." She winks again, and then hops up from her chair, and says, "It's been a pleasure Jovian. Hopefully I will see you around, soon."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian chuckles at that and nods, "I can't disagree with that. I have no idea if she is a fan but I know that I can make good use of it. Very nice too met you." He smiles and enjoys the random flirting ,"See you around....Alison."
