Rhodey and Nat Watch Kung-Fu
Date of Scene: 01 April 2021
Location: Avenger's Mansion, A room with a TV
Synopsis: They didn't actually watch Kung-Fu.
Cast of Characters: James Rhodes, Natasha Romanoff

James Rhodes has posed:
It's a boring night at Avenger's Mansion. Rhodey is apparently spending the evening here, though he's not dressed for going out on patrol but rather in sweat pants and a USMC T-Shirt. He has a Chinese menu in his hand, as well as his cellphone, and he calls over down the hall to whomever else is staying at the HQ this evening, "I'm getting Mongolian Beef and an Egg Roll, what do you want?"

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff - a good few weeks away from losing four months of her life to an unusually compelling frame up job - happens to be wandering past the hall when James calls out. She freezes mid step, and then reverses to back pedal back into view of the doorway, wearing a dark sweater and black tights as pants. Lasy day in. "And Egg Roll's good. Just an Egg Roll." Her eyes wander past James and towards the TV where James T Kirk appears to be fighting in slow motion. "... Is he fighting under water? Is that supposed to be a water planet?"

James Rhodes has posed:
"Hey, Nat." Rhodey replies, and then types in an additional egg roll, "Sure you don't want something like a soup or anything? On me." BIG SPENDER. He then turns towards the TV and then back to Nat as if to answer, before he turns back again, "Wait...huh? I just came in and it was on and I wanted to get something quick to eat before patrol in a couple hours...this was just on. Think Barton left it on." Definitely not him. The under water battle gets a bit more scrutiny, "There's no way it works like that," he comments.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Offered soup, she waves one hand, "No, that's fine. I need to... fit into air vents." It's a gruelling life. Distracted by the TV however, she tilts her head. "I don't think they are. They're just fighting that slow. That's..." A number of words spring to mind. She settles on: "... confusing."

James Rhodes has posed:
The order gets sent, "We appreciate your sacrifice, Nat." Rhodey replies, giving her a wink before he turns fully back to the fight scene that is playing out, "I don't think I've ever seen a good under water fight in a movie. I mean, I've never done it myself, but it seems like it would be confusing. Got a mask on that barely fits, got a knife maybe, trying to keep your air from getting sliced...not for me."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
"It's not that bad." Natasha shrugs. "Not if you keep a knife on you, anyway." If Nat is aware that she just admitted to having killed at least one person under water, she doesn't acknowledge it. "Anyway. Just, uh... knock on my door when they get here, I'll be in there." She says, drifting towards the exit.

James Rhodes has posed:
"You got it. Catch up later? Feel like I haven't seen you in months." Rhodey says, as he starts to look for the remote to find something better than this. "And, I'll keep that in mind...the knife thing."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
"Sure. Yeah." Natasha replies a little distantly, but affects a bit of a smirk at the knife thing, noting "You do that."
