Date of Scene: 26 June 2021
Location: Apartment 201
Synopsis: The Bees Have Spoken... there's humans in trouble, and Clarice will be getting help... hopefully.
Cast of Characters: Dyani Zitkala, Clarice Ferguson

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Clarice would have received a message from whom ever was at the safe house watching over Dyani. Something was wrong, the young mutant was very agitated, not letting anyone in the room.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
It didn't much matter //what// Clarice was working on - it could wait. Dyani had very quickly become the young mutant's top priority.
Mystique had wanted her to find 'hobbies' after all, hadn't she? ... maybe this would count?
Either way - Clarice appears in the hall, only putting a slight ding in the wall from her portal's displacement wave, caused by the haste of her arrival. She approaches the bedroom door without any preamble - rapping on it lightly. "Dyani? It's Clarice. Can I come in?" she asks in a gentle, concerned tone. What could have set the girl off?

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
The buzzing inside the room is insanely loud, like there is a massive swarm of angry bees in there. When Clarice speaks the buzzing dies down a little, but the sound is still there. The door is yanked open and Dyani is there, looking angry, panicked and afraid all at the same time.

"Clarice... we need you, come in... please, we need to stop it."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Stop what, Dyani?" Clarice asks. She looks, for the first time, a bit uncertain around the rather unsettled 'hive' - her gaze going to the bees that fly about the room with more energy and aggrevation than she's accustomed to, before her gaze goes back to Dyani.
After all, the last time she saw Dyani this upset - the girl //had// attacked her. Even if the girl had not been in possession of her own mind at the time. "What's going on?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
The room is filled with bees, they are all flying in a formation around the room, over and over again, clearly as agitated as Dyani is, but none of them seems interested in Clarice.

"We saw it, Clarice! Very bad, not right, just taking them into trucks like that!" She starts buzzing herself, her wings flickering behind her. "They did not have a choice, he /made/ them go!"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice's gaze goes from following the swam to locking onto Dyani instead - concern the most evident expression on her features. "Who?" she asks. "Dyani - who is being made to go? And who is making them do it?" she asks. She steps closer to the girl - reaching out to put a hand on the girl's arm.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani stops and focuses her eyes on Clarice, head tilting. That touch seems to rip her out of at least the panic.

"There is a mutant taking humans away in trucks, they do not want to go, but he is making them. He is making the criminals kidnap them and bring them to this place, then they are put into trucks and the trucks drive away. We tried to follow, but the bees could not go that far, they lost out touch and became free."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice frowns deeply. This is the kind of shit that makes the humans hate them and mistrust them - and who can really blame them?
Of course - this is the kind of shit that humans had done and continued to do to one another. Fucking hypocrits.
"Okay. A mutant is forcing criminals to take people against their wills. Who is this mutant? How do you know he's a mutant? What is his power?" Clarice asks. She begins drawing Dyani towards the bed, to sit her down.
"I have to understand everything - so we can stop him without getting hurt, and without getting these people hurt. Right?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani let's herself be drawn over to the bed, but she can't sit, her wings are flickering behind her rapidly, and its the only way she's not pacing again. "You have to understand... we must translate what the bees see and hear, but it is not like how you see and hear. It is vibrations and images..." she seems frustrated with that too.

"The first time we saw them, they were drinking and causing troubles at their building, a... hang out, that is what they called it. That was when we first got here. The next time we saw them, there was another with them. They were yelling at him to go way, but he... touched one, then another, then one hit him and it was a chain reaction when they touched him, they all just... liked him."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Okay," Clarice agrees, as she listens to the story. "So these men stopped fighting him... and started to listen to him? To do what he said? Anyone he touches - he can control?"
She frowns uneasily. It makes him more difficult to fight, certainly. And takes many of the Brotherhood's heavy hitters more of a liability than a help. If he touched Mister Creed- now there was a nasty thought.
"And these people he'd touched - they started taking other people?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani nods slowly, "Yes, he touched them and they do what he wants." She finally sits down on the bed, but her wings are still vibrating.

"He must touch them though, but once they are touched they urge others to get close to be touched, or even drag them over to be touched. He touched the whole gang and now they do what he says, they never question, just do it."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"But //he// must touch you to control you. Not his gang." That was easier to deal with. But... yes. Still a challenge. Clarice's expression remains intent - but encouraging as she listens to Dyani.
"And he ordered his men to start putting people in trucks? Does he touch those people as well?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Again she starts fidgeting, "Yes! He touches them all before they go into the truck and they just go in! The gang brings them in at night, they are gagged and tied up, then he touches them and they are untied and ungagged, and just... stand there, waiting. When there is enough of them gathered to fill the back of a truck, he touches them again and they just go in and sit down!"

She stands up and starts pacing again, wings flickering like mad behind her. "We /tried to send a bee with them, to see where they went Clarice, but its too far. We heard them talking about the price for men and woman, for children, we heard them laughing about getting rich!"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
For children? He's selling //children//? Clarice's expression goes cold, her jaw tightening - but she forces herself to relax. "Okay. Alright - we're not going to let it continue, Dyani. I promise you. We'll find this man - and stop what he is doing." She presses her lips together in thought. "He's taking humans, though? Not mutants? Or is it both?" She wears a thoughtful expression before she asks, "One of your bees could lead me to where they are?"
Perhaps sending Talia would be the wiser decision, though? If she went at night - she'd be less likely to be seen. Wouldn't she?

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
There is a pause in Dyani's step and she looks at Clarice. "Yes, they are taking children, and adults. We think they are just human, none of them looked like Mutants, and none of them did anything to show powers, but that is the only way we could ever tell. Clarice, we could lead you to them any time, they are not far from here, but where they go is."

She walks over to Clarice, "What about those they already took? What will happen to them?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice lets out a quiet sigh. That's the thing - what about the people that were already taken? What about the children? "Well. The way I see it - there's two options here. We try to gather intel as quickly as we can, and grab these people now, before anyone else can be shipped off to an uncertain future. And hope that the members of this gang can lead us to where the other victims were taken. Or... we wait until the next shipment is ready, and stike them, to try to follow them to where the other people were taken. It puts more people at risk, but gives us better odds of discovering where the others were taken."
She lets out a huff of air. Which is the better call, here?
"I don't usually plan ops like this. I'm going to have to bring more people in, ot make sure we do it right."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
The pacing continues slowly around the room, but the bees seem to have started to calm now. They start finding places to land and rest, it's a lot of work buzzing angrily.

"You have hive who can help?" She asks, again pausing to look at Clarice. "We cannot help, other than lead you there, and give you bees as spies. We have one there now, watching, but they are just drinking."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"I do have people who can help," Clarice confirms. "If they're taking people - just... //humans//, then I should probably talk to my Queen, Lorna. And her people. They have experience with this sort of thing," she reassures Dyani. "And they will try to get everyone back who is taken. I can't promise we'll succeed - but we're going to try."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani plops down down on the bed.

"We wish we could do more, but we have bees all over their area now. The gang does not seem to notice or care, they are drinking and laughing and oh my.." she suddenly goes this beet red color and looks away from Clarice. If her eyes could get wide, they would.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"When we stop these guys - it will only be because of you, Dyani," Clarice counters promptly. "You are doing a lot. You are doing all we can ask of you, and more."
At the 'oh my' though - concern shows on her features. What are they doing now? She hopes it's only something... bawdy, and embarrassing. And hopefully consensual. "If you need to pull your bees back for a little bit... I think that will be okay. We'll know there to find them again."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani Zitkala starts giggling profusely, the sound almost sounding like a hum which causes the bees resting around the room to rub their wings together and thus the buzzing begins again. "We... moved away," she giggles, still beet red. "They are... enjoying the fruits of their labors with each other.... no one seemed..." she giggles again, side looking at Clarice. "no one seems to be complaining."

She looks back at out the window, "We want to do more, but we know we can't. We will keep the bees watching Clarice, we promise."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Alright," Clarice agrees. She puts her arm around the girl, giving her a gentle, reassuring hug. "I'm glad you told me about this. We're going to stop it, alright? If you're okay... I'll go talk to some of my friends, and see if we can start making some plans to free all these people." She gives Dyani the most reassuring smile she can muster as she delivers this message.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani Zitkala hugs Clarice tightly, "We will be alright, we just could not find words and it upset Citadel. We are sorry he was upset, but we could not focus. You need to go talk to your hive, these people need help."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"I do - and we will. Lorna's people will help. I promise." After giving the girl another squeeze with her arm - she rises to her feet. And then, while still smiling at the girl - simply blinks away - to reappear at Xavier's mansion.
Is this an appropriate hour to be bothering the people there? Does she she care?
    Not in the least.
