Synopsis: Tabitha talks to Kitty to arrange for her graduation from Xavier's.
Cast of Characters: Tabitha Smith, Kitty Pryde

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Never let it be said that Tabby does anything the easy way. Well maybe she does, but it would be too boring to ask for an appointment and go to the office to see the counselor lady. No, no. Tabby has been hunting the campus at random looking for the Kitty-Kat.

Okay and maybe she was hoping to run across a horse destroying predator she could toss some bombs at but nobody's gonna get her to admit it. Finally though she manages to catch sight of Kitty on the tennis court and she hurries over and calls out, "Kitty! Someone told me you're my gal to talk to. Got a tick?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty is out on the court, wearing a white skirt and top, her hair back in a pony tail. She runs across the baseline and swings her racket, that distinctive sound of tennis racket hitting ball squarely resounding as she sends the ball back across the net.

On the other side is Tommy. One of the students, with green skin and just enough of a froglike face as to make comparisons inevitable. He sends a shot to Kitty's backhand and then rushes the net. Kitty races back across the court and then sends a lob overtop of Tommy heading for the backline.

Or that is the intent anyway. Tommy crouches and springs up much like an aforementioned frog, high enough to put that safe lob squarely in his range. Kitty gives a loud, "Ack!" as she sees Tommy rear back, and she covers up like a schoolkid practicing how to protect herself from a nuclear explosion.

Yeah, because ducking REALLY helps with that.

Tommy sends the ball scorching down onto the court and bouncing into the fence. Kitty puts her hands on her hips and shakes her head, sighing, just getting a grin from Tommy.

The school counselor turns towards Tabitha then as she approaches. "Yeah, if I stay out here anymore Tommy is going to give me a 'Wilson' tattoo somewhere," she says, waving towards her opponent with the racket to indicate game is over. Kitty walks over, getting a hand towel to dab some sweat away, and then take a drink from a water bottle. "What's up, Tabitha?"

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Now how did Tabby miss that Kitty was actually engaged in playing a game before she yelled out to her? She wiggles her fingers in Tommy's direction. Might be an apology. Might not.

Turning her full attention, well maybe not completely full but mostly, back to Kitty, she says, "So... I was wondering... I was enrolled and then I sorta dropped out and went to Genosha before I graduated. Then I came back and I was taking classes again but I disappeared for a few months again before graduation... Is there any way we can just call me graduated and done?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde hrms quietly, likely trying to remember the exact way that things went down then. "Let's see," she says, and then reaches into her bag to pull out her phone. It's not a normal Android, Apple or WayneTech phone. One of her own making, Kitty begins thumb-typing away on it rapidly.

"Looks like you got most everything done from the coursework. Though missed the final exams. I can run it by Jean or the Professor, but I'd think if you just take the finals, that would be completing everything," Kitty offers, looking up from her phone and over to Tabitha. "I'm sure if you need some help cramming, any number of us would be happy to help. Heck, good practice for some of the students too."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith gives Kitty's phone the serious once over for a minute, getting distracted by sudden reminder that she had to change phones during this past absence and needs to start giving people her new digits if she wants them to be able to contact her without tweeting at her or some such. When she comes back from la-la land she flashes Kitty a grin, "Actually Jimmy was offering to help me study if needed when he dropped your name as someone to talk to. If Jean and the Prof would go for that, it'd be a good thing to get behind me."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"And it's a great idea to have the degree," Kitty agrees. "If you ever want to do college, or even just applying for jobs. Xavier's has a very good reputation with the larger world," she says. Of course the rest of the world has no idea about the mutant connection, but it's a top rated preparatory school in its own merits.

Kitty takes another long sip from her water bottle, then dabs the towel across her brow again. Lockheed comes flying over from wherever sunny spot he had been snoozing in, probably woken by their voices. He lands on Kitty's shoulder, and then kind of stirs, lifting his feet as if not wanting to cling there.

"Well, you knew I'd be sweaty," Kitty tells the small purple dragon with a soft laugh, reaching up to ruffle her fingers along his head where his horns meet it. She looks back to Tabitha and says, "I'll talk to them, and assuming it's ok, we can get it set up. Give you a syllabus so you know what to focus on, and then whenever you're ready to take it," she offers.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith looks for just a second like she might hug the Kitty, but in the end she just grins again. "Well can't say I'm psyched about taking more tests, but I will make an exception in this case. You're the best, Kitty." She waves at Lockheed all casual like.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The extraterrestrial dragon gives a little one-winged flap back as he sees the wave. "Just think of how wonderful it'll be when they are past," Kitty says with a grin. She grabs her racket case, sliding her tennis racket inside and then zipping it up. Tommy's shagged their tennis balls and returned them to a can, which he tosses over to Kitty. She slides into her bag, then slings the bag over her shoulder.

"How is everything else going?" Kitty ask Tabitha as she turns back towards her fully.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith smiles, "Oh I'm golden, Kitty. Especially now. Speaking of now. I had to change my broken phone for a new one while I was away." She rattles off her new digits for Kitty as if the other girl was waiting to take them down. So what's the procedure for getting a room over in the resident wing once I'm formally graduated?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde pulls her phone back out, holding down the button and saying, "Change Tabitha's phone number to..." and repeating the digits. She pockets her phone again after. "Oh, just send an email into the facilities email and they can get you set up," she says.

Another sip of the cool water is taken. Tommy has donned a New York Mets cap as he grabs his things. The cap causes Kitty to scrunch up her face as if in disgust and flash the look his way. Tommy grins and straightens the cap, dusting off the brim as if taking care of it, before jogging up to the house.

Kitty turns back to Tabitha. "He knows I'm a Cubs fan," she comments about Tommy. "I hope there's something still left from lunch in the kitchen. Otherwise it's cereal for me." Kitty is known as being a particularly bad cook. But she makes a good bowl of Crunchberries.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith turns to walk in the vague direction of the kitchen so she can comment, "Think they're making dinner at this point. Bet you can find something though. Not like they lock the food up between meals, right? There's probably a few more people I should remember to give that number to."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"Feel free to toss it out on the school social media page," Kitty offers. The school has its own social media program, private to people within the school. Which means people can be as openly mutant on it as they want to be. "Or could email it around," she suggests.
